Politics / Re: A Glance At Anambra Governor Candidates by Ericology(m): 3:29am On Oct 27, 2013
mekaboy:

Yes you are correct. Initially i said if anambra votes Ngige or obiano we have not voted wrongly. But as the elections draw near, i have been reading alot of propaganda from all parties, seeking to tarnish each others image.I also read alot of promises, including alot of free stuffs promised.

Finally i said to myself this is an election time, people will pretend to be saints, each time they appear before the media this time around they will be prepared. So i decided to investigate them when they were not all about politics, i wanted to know how they behave on a normal day. Because when they win, they will go back to being who they really are.

For this reason i sneaked up on them on youtube, to take a close look at their personality from the past. My primary objectives were

1,to know which of these men is capable of bringing foreign investment to Anambra state.

2, to know who was more eloquent and presentable as the next governor

3,to know who is a technocrat

4, to know who has more managerial ability, because governance requires using the little resource available to you and making the best use of it.

5, i also looked at the issue of integrity, who can be trusted among them? Not just by the people of anambra state, but people from other states and countries.

///////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////

When i dived into Youtube i first typed ifeanyi ubah , from the video he scored very low in my expectation for eloquence ( he was not so composed and fluent in his command of english )

Secondly, in the area of integrity he scored very low( he was accused of fraud and his statements were not pleasing). I would not trust him after watching the video and reading the comments on the page.

Thirdly, in the area of foreign investment, i dont think any body that watched his video will be interested in investing in a state he governs.

fourthly, the area of management, i dont think he will do so well judging from his own investment and the resources committed to him by others.

////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////

Then i put Ngige on my scale.

Is he eloquent and composed? yes he is.

Has he been tested ? yes, he tared roads and paid civil servants. Now if he did that out of free will or under pressure i cant tell.

Is he capable of bringing foriegn investors to the state ? The answer unfortunately is NO. Why do i say this? most foreign investors will always follow up and a persons profile, they want someone they can trust, someone who can stick to his part of an agreement. Ngige Rigged an election, to us it is nothing, but to the western world it means alot and his integrity will be in doubt.

I am not being sentimental or campaigning for anybody here, i am just being objective. You can see i am talking about yoruba party this or that. it is insignificant.

Can we trust Ngige ? The answer is NO . dont get sentimental here, lets be honest. Ngige agreed to rigging an election, that makes him a person of questionable character.Secondly, he agreed with Uba to give them a large percentage of anambra state allocation . He did not keep his part of the bargain . Am i saying he should have done that? No, but an agreement is an agreement whether good or bad. So it means he does not keep to his promise whether good or bad.

Now, people will say he is a hero, he saved anambra state from the uba godfathers . But the true question should be, what went wrong in their agreement? Trouble broke out when he failed to remit a certain amount to the godfathers. Now ask yourself, how much did he pay to them already before they started having issues? If the ubahs had accepted the amount he was remitting to their account, would there have been any problems?

Like i said earlier, governance is about managing the resources allocated to you and making the best use of it.

Can Ngige manage our resources ? Does he have the managerial skill required ? Has he been entrusted with anyone's resources in the past ? People will say he has managed anambra states resources in the past. But the question is, do you know how much he spent ? do you know how much was paid to the ubahs already before the problem? he did not finish his tenure in office and nobody can tell what happened.

He is not yet on the sit, he has no idea of how much we have in our account, and he is promising free Education. For someone who will manage resources to make such promises, it makes me question his motives and managerial ability.

Finally, He is separated, in the western world to be honest, nobody will vote a single separated man into office. Foreign investors put these things into consideration.

Stop spewing Trashh... Which Western world are you talking about? The one i live in that votes Gays, Lesbians, Atheists, divorcees etc as Presidents, Mayors, Governors ?? I know you are for Obiano which I dont have any problems with but dont just try to play with our intelligence..

Don't sing hosana yet because this is just the beginning, by the time this is over, Amaechi and his lawmakers will be no where to be found. Ibori did more than this, we all knew how he ended up, Silva worked the same path, we all knew how it all ended. Sorry for Amaechi in Advance. Atiku even performed better than them all in his fight with Obasanjo, but at last we saw who laughs last.

Few years ago, while watching CNN's live transmission of Charles Taylor's departure from Liberia to Nigeria due to Western pressure... He(Taylor)narrated one funny folktale.. He said a lion once lived with 3 goats. One morning, the lion became hungry and had no food. So he planned with the white and brown goat to betray the black goat and ate it.. Few days later, under same situation he colluded with the white and ate the brown. Then another hunger bout came and he called the remaining white goat and made his intention of eating him known. The white goat was surprised." I aided you in every way when you wanted to eat my friends,You cant eat me after all i did for you". The lion laughed out loud and called the white goat a very stupid animal. lol. If i ate all your friends cuz they tasted good, what makes you think i wouldnt eat you when you taste the same? Lesson.......... I am not Amaechi or Jonathan's apologist bt i am very much surprised how sentiments have beclouded every GEJ's supporter's mind.. Now, all of you had no problems when 16 votes defeated 19. Now, 5 lawmakers have impeached the speaker superseding the rest 22 and you are all clapping.. Remember, one day it cld be your own favorite governor that wld be impeached by 1 lawmaker.. Dont fail to clap for that brand of undemocratic arrogance when its your turn.. Aufwidersehen..

What a crock of Bull!!! I am not an Obasanjo fan - - -  not a fan of anyone, but I do urge we stop decieving ourselves with these silly stories. How can he be against Sharia when YOU, and YOUR FAMILY, and everyone else, ALLOWED it to be declared a part of our democracy? Look in your constitution  ---- yes, right in there. Sharia was made LEGAL and so how can Obasanjo go against that which you ALLOWED be made legal -- sanctioned by our democracy?

Your are so sentimental, Get off ur high horse, If we allowed it like u said, why wld it be a source of trouble and bloodshed when it was introduced? Again what about the killings that followed its introduction that nobody was arrested for? were they also part of the constitution? Sentiments-----the bane of Nigeria,
OBJ did a lot of positive things in Nigeria and am not going to deny him that but whenever i hear people telling us how he wld have bulldozed his way into Maiduguri and razed it to the ground in pursuit of Boko Haram, i always laugh at the ignorance of the people, Only a President of Northern extraction cld try such and nothing wld happen,

I have  nothing against OBJ as an ex head of state but i still dont understand the superhuman attributes many of us are showering on him,  Being  the 2nd in command when Murtala died he was allowed by the north to hold fort for a while and return power back to them which he obediently did even making sure Awo was kept out,  With that, he was trusted by the North so that when our Oga[north] decided to placate the south[yorubas for abiolas death in 1999, they chose again the same trusted and obedient friend  to hold forth again for 8 yrs and return it back to the owners which he once again did by throwing out every guber aspirant for Yar Adua,    He didnt do nada to quell the Sharia crisis in the 12 northern states nor the miss world riots cuz he was powerless, Odi and Zaki biam where he demonstrated his powers were not in the core north dats why he was able to act, Like i said, stop making him a superhuman which he wasnt/is nt,

You keep asking questions you should have known by now, GADDAFI planned to NATIONALIZE all the oil companies in Libya, thereby making the OIL companies serve his people first before any foreigner, 90% of the oil companies are from the west, so you can do the mathematics now.

He also said Africans should come together, have a common currency and a common goal too, these plans infuriated the slave masters which led to his blackmail and "forceful" removal through machinery who pretended to be Libyan people fighting for "freedom" most of these rebels are KNOWN Al quedda members, yet the west supported and used them because they serve their interest.

Yeah yeah yeah,, America is responsible for the massacre of Igbos in the 60s, yeah they formed Maitatsine terror group, yes they chopped of Gideon Akalukas head in Kano for his wive's abuse of the koran, waow, America imposed Sharia on 12 or so northern states and damned our constitution, sure they killed and pillaged cuz of an article on disday abt Prph Mohammed, America scuttled our miss world pageant, oh i forgot, they burned down Kano when Reinhard Bonnke wanted to hold a crusade in Kano, Lest i forget, America destroyed parts of the north cuz an old Danish cartoonist tried a funny one on Mohammed, Oops, America hacked down our NYSC members cuz of last elections, At last they ve bombed UN headquarters. That's because human beings are always seeking a scape goat to blame for their insecurities! An igbo man will tell you that yoruba people are extremely dirty but I have seen igbo households that look like refuse dumps. A yoruba man will tell you that Igbo's are wicked and evil and yet, some of the heartless actions I've seen are commited by yorubas. An igbo man will tell you that yorubas are betrayers and not to be trusted and yet, its the same people that frustrated Alex Ekweme from becoming president and preferred Obasanjo (a serving convict) to their fellow man. Yorubas will tell you igbos are greedy businessmen who love to cheat in business and yet, if you go to Owode-Onirin and tell them you want to sell your bmw X6 which you bought for N14million and has bashed headlights, the yoruba buyers will offer you N70,000 as their best offer! What am I trying to say? It all boils down to people blaming others for their short comings and insecurities. This has been a major factor in wars and ethnic clashes e.g the ife and modakeke fracas (yoruba neighbours slaughtering their fellow brothers like rams) and the umuleri and aguleri blood bath (fellow igbo neighbours trying to exterminate each other). It's that simple!

Stop talking from the Anus, Jim Nwobodos one vote didnt stop Ekwueme from becoming the president rather the powers that be had arranged for a familiar man to take over, OBJ, not an Igbo man nor a Yoruba man chosen by yorubas{Falae} Stop talking trash
