Farmerforlife:
I am neither a Buhari nor a Fayose supporter, I am totally apolitical.

But I really need to ask, how many people actually read this? It purports to be a wire transfer by one 'Aisha Buhari' to ANJ group, a consultancy firm with Jefferson as the beneficiary. Naij.com says that it was to the tune of $170,000 which, in 2002 would have been about N20million. There is nothing to show that it was an illegal transaction. Neither Buhari or his wife were even public officers at the time, they were ordinary citizens, so I dont even know what this has to do with public funds.

My point of view is that the governor is trying to prevent a probe that he knows is coming his way by going on an all-out attack and slinging allegations everywhere, hoping some will stick so he can later claim that his upcoming probe is actually a personal witch hunt, and attract ignorant symphathisers behind him. Some people respond to potentially harmful situations with a lot of aggressive loudness and braggadocio. I think this is just such a case.
even if she was just an ordinary citizen then the fact remains that the money was a bribe meaning she was corrupt. .

I am Ikwerre and this is the daftest article I have read all year long. Obio/Akpo LGA is richer and bigger than Ebonyi state. Ikwerres have similarities in names and language but our culture is different from that of the Igbos even our traditions and identity. We have different history, we mixed up with the igbos due to trade. Our real identity is "iwuruoha". It's the white man that caused most of this things.
They made aba the capital of our region make most headquarters of business and corporation reside there and made an igbo man mayor of Portharcourt. That's why almost all the streets in Diobu are igbo names. I have personally discussed with Sir Elechi Amadi and he told me a lot including why we supported Nigeria. I'm from Ogbakiri and we have no trace of origin from igbos. We can bear the same names or even speak the same language but we have our different traditions and identity.
Please don't kill yourself over this, Ikwerres will never want to associate themselves with igbos, we have this superior feeling that we better than the igbos, hence the laziness in our people. Bye

PoliticsLagos High Court Adjourns Hearing Of Alleged Killing Of IPOB Members By Soldiers by ericuzor(op): 8:24am On Jun 20, 2016
By Innocent Anaba

A Federal High Court sitting in Lagos, has adjourned till July 8, 2016, to hear the suit against the alleged killings by soldiers and other security agencies of Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, members during May 30, Biafran Remembrance Day in Anambra and Delta States.

At the hearing in the suit by Lagos lawyer and human rights activist, Ebun-Olu Adegboruwa, weekend, he informed the court that the respondents declined service of the court processes on the ground that the hearing date was too close.

He prayed the court for a short adjournment to enable the bailiff serve the respondents.

The respondents in the suit are the President, Maj-Gen Muhammadu Buhari, Federal Republic of Nigeria, Attorney-General of the Federation, Inspector-General of Police, Chief of Army Staff, Chief of Navy Staff and Chief of Air Staff.

Adegboruwa was arguing in the suit that all Nigerians are granted the right of free assembly and association, under section 40 and also the freedom of expression, under section 39 of of the 1999 Constitution.

He is contending that members of the IPOB, are entitled to assemble together in any part of the country, for the purpose of demanding for self determination, without any permit or licence. And when they so decide to gather, the police, the army, or indeed other security agencies are not entitled to invade their gathering, or to shoot them or to arrest and detain them, as was done in most parts of the South East, on May 30, 2016.

He therefore, wants the court to affirm the rights of citizens to express themselves in any areas without let or hindrance from the security agencies.

PoliticsA MUST READ!!! IPOB and Niger Delta Avengers join force as one - Vanguard by ericuzor(op):
….Says NDA’s fighting for freedom of enslaved people

By Emeka Mamah

ENUGU—The Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, has praised activities of the Niger Delta Avengers, NDA, saying that they are fighting for the freedom of the enslaved people of the area by an oppressive Nigerian government.

This was contained in a statement, entitled, ‘IPOB supports our kith and Kin- the NDA,’ and jointly signed by the spokesmen of the organisation, Mr. Emma Nmezu and Dr. Clifford Iroanya, yesterday.

The statement read in part: “We want to place it on record that IPOB under the leadership of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu has no connection with some groups who are claiming on the pages of the newspapers that they do not support our fellow freedom fighters – the NDA. We make reference to a particular group which is a well-known turncoat and its leader who has been bribed with oil blocks allocations in the oil-rich areas of Biafra land.

Militants
This same compromised group is known to have started the ugly incidence of kidnapping in Biafra land with its members often used as thugs and hired killers for politicians in the country.

“The NDA had consistently stated that the release of IPOB leader, Nnamdi Kanu is a precondition for any discussion with Nigeria. Unfortunately and disgracefully, the incompetent Nigerian government has swept this demand under the carpet while magnifying the notion of amnesty payments and resource control as reasons for the NDA‘s actions.

For the avoidance of doubt, the NDA is fighting for the freedom of the people of Biafra and not for amnesty payment or for resource control as some commentators would like to believe. When Biafra is finally liberated from the bondage called Nigeria, resources shall be controlled by the owners of the land where those resources are located.

“The incompetent Nigerian government should stop deceiving the entire world into believing that what the freedom fighters of NDA are demanding is resource control. Amnesty is associated with criminality and a people who are fighting for their freedom should not be unjustly termed criminals.

“The notion and talk about amnesty for our own freedom fighters, the NDA, is a misnomer and should be taken out of any discourse. On the contrary, amnesty should be granted to the Nigerian government, especially to those from the criminal class masquerading as elite, who unjustly appropriated oil and gas wells and other resources in Biafra land to themselves and their cohorts to the detriment of the masses.”

PoliticsPRESS STATEMENT: IPOB Officially Pledges Allegiance To N’delta Avengers by ericuzor(op): 9:31am On Jun 19, 2016
THE Indigenous People Of Biafra (IPOB) has officially pledged support for the Niger Delta Avengers, a group which has been operating

against the Oil installations in the Oil region of the Country in quest to gain freedom from Nigeria. In a press statement jointly signed by IPOB’s spokes persons, Dr. Clifford Chukwuemeka Iroanya and Barrister Emma Nmezu, the statement categorically stated that the IPOB supports the freedom fighters ”the Niger Delta Avengers”. Read the Press statement below:

INDIGENOUS PEOPLE OF BIAFRA SUPPORT OUR KITH & KIN – THE NIGER DELTA AVENGERS The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) under the leadership of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu hereby state that we support our kith and kin – the Niger Delta Avengers (NDA), who are fighting for the freedom of our people from the enslaving Islamic Republic of Nigerian Government. We want to place it on record that IPOB under the leadership of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu has no connection with some groups who are claiming on the pages of Nigerian newspapers that they do not support our fellow freedom fighters – the NDA. We make reference to a particular group which is a well-known turncoat and their leader who has been bribed with oil blocks allocations in the oil- rich areas of Biafraland.

This same compromised group is known to have started the ugly incidence of kidnapping in Biafraland and their members often used as thugs and hired killers for politicians in Nigeria. The NDA have consistently stated that the release of IPOB leader Mazi Nnamdi Kanu is a precondition for any discussion with Nigeria. Unfortunately and disgracefully, the incompetent and intellectually challenged Nigerian Government has swept this demand under the carpet while magnifying the notion of amnesty payments and resource control as reasons for the NDA‘s actions.

The perennially incompetent Nigerian Government should stop deceiving the entire world into believing that what the freedom fighters of NDA are demanding is resource control. Amnesty is associated with criminality and a people who are fighting for their freedom should not be unjustly termed criminals.

The notion and talk of amnesty for our own freedom fighters (the NDA) is a misnomer and should be taken out of any discourse. On the contrary, amnesty should be granted to the Nigerian Government especially to those from the criminal class masquerading as elites who unjustly appropriated oil & gas wells and other resources in Biafraland to themselves and their cohorts to the detriment of the masses. These robbers should be associated with amnesty for their economic criminality not the NDA.

As far as IPOB and the generality of Biafrans are concerned, the NDA is doing the right thing by demanding the freedom our people from the perpetually repressive Nigerian state. Unlike some groups pretending to be Biafran freedom fighters, the NDA and IPOB have a common ideology and objective which is the absolute liberation of the nation of Biafra from the British- contraption created by an alien called Frederick Lugard who is not even a black African. It defies logic to think that a white man can come all the way from Britain to create and name a country in already inhabited Africa for black people. Ironically, most of the leaders of the compromized groups are speaking against the great work that the NDA are doing.

These shameless scavenging Hausa-Fulani sponsored slaves in Biafraland have placed the needs of their stomach and their families above the overall national interest of the liberation of their people who are under the enslavement of the Nigerian Government in concert with the British Government who have never supported the liberation of any christian country in the world.

The leaders of these obviously compromised groups have gone into hotel business, real estate industry, oil & gas extraction business and other profit-generating endeavours and have for long abandoned the quest for the freedom of the people of Biafra. It is not a surprise therefore that these compromized groups have now come out to distance themselves from the genuine efforts of the NDA that is aimed at fulfilling the yearning and expectations of every Biafran.

We reiterate that IPOB is totally and absolutely in support of the NDA as they march towards the unconditional liberation of our people from the evil grip of Nigerian Government. We plead with the NDA not to be discouraged by the comments and antics of these so-called leaders of these compromized groups and some other charlatans who parade themselves as freedom fighters.

The NDA should know that the only ally they have now is IPOB under the leadership of Nnamdi Kanu. IPOB is warning the extremist Nigerian Government of Buhari that should they invade any part of Biafraland, as intelligence indicate they are planning to, then IPOB will order every youth in Biafraland to join NDA to defend Biafraland. Muhammadu Buhari and his gangs massacred Biafrans in their millions at Owerri in 1968 but Biafrans will never allow such atrocity to be repeated on Biafraland ever again.

We shall fight to the last man standing because Biafra is our life and the restoration of the nation of Biafra is a task that must be achieved. IPOB wholeheartedly support the NDA as they work diligently and heroically towards the liberation of all parts of Biafraland from the Lugard created abomination called Nigeria.

Signed

CrimeBREAKING!! Fulani Herdsmen Invade Delta Community, Kill Farmer, Villagers Panic. by ericuzor(op): 6:17pm On Jun 18, 2016
RESIDENTS of Ossissa community in Ndokwa East Local Government Area of Delta State have been thrown into mourning following the

killing of a 45-year-old renowned farmer by gunmen suspected to be Fulani herdsmen. PoliticsND Avengers Disarm Soldiers In Gbaraintoru, Give Them Message For Shell. by ericuzor(op): 10:20am On Jun 15, 2016
The most dreaded militant group within the oil rich region of the Southern Nigeria, Niger Delta Avengers have reportedly, invaded Nigeria Soldiers guarding one of the oil facilities owned by Shell Petroleum Development Company, had a chart with the force men and left them unharmed.

Eastern Radio interviewed an eyewitness who narrated how the incident took place on Friday last week.

"I've been waiting for the mainstream Nigerian media to report it but up till this moment it has not. I think this is the case because no oil facility was blown up"

"On Friday afternoon, a strike force of the Avengers arrived at the waterfront of Gbaraintoru community in Yenagoa LGA of Bayelsa State in three gun boats. The military men guarding Shell's liquefied and natural gas gathering plant on the outskirts of the community where some gas flaring takes place, began to retreat as they were clearly outnumbered but the Avengers called out to them, asking them not to flee because they meant them no harm".

"They dropped a message with the soldiers. They told them to inform Shell to shut down the plant at once. That they do not want to see that gas flare anymore. After which they zoomed off and were soon out of sight".

"Presently, the plant has been shot down by Shell and staff have been evacuated".

PoliticsOnly True Federalism’ll End Militancy In N-delta —OGIASA by ericuzor(op): 12:21am On Jun 15, 2016
By Samuel Oyadongha

Yenagoa—Chairman, Board of Trustees, Voice of South South, Mike Ogiasa, has said that only the practice of true federalism where the component units owned and controlled their resources and paid tax to the centre will put to an end to the recurring agitation for justice in the Niger Delta region.

Ogiasa spoke in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State, against the backdrop of the Federal Government declaration of a two-week ceasefire in the region to create room for dialogue with the Niger Delta Avengers and other militant groups.

He urged members of the Federal Government negotiating team to focus on true federalism and equal participation among the states on the ownership and control of their recourses.

He blamed injustice for the renewed crisis and violent activities being embarked on by militants.

PoliticsCeasefire: Niger Delta Avengers Want Independent Mediators by ericuzor(op): 10:58am On Jun 14, 2016
Militants under the aegis of the Niger Delta Avengers (NDA) have said they only dialogue with the Federal Government if they were assured of a conducive atmosphere.
In a statement issued by its spokesperson, Mudoch Agbinibo, the group said that it was yet to agree to a ceasefire to pave way for a dialogue, due to the insincerity of the Federal Government.
Agbinibo said: “The high command of the Niger Delta Avengers (NDA) is using this medium to restate that there are no new items to put on the table for dialogue; we only want a genuine attitude and conducive atmosphere that will make us commit to any proposed dialogue and lasting peace talk.
“We want the Federal Government to commit member-states of the multinational oil corporations to pledge independent mediators to this proposed dialogue; we believe that only such an environment will engender genuine dialogue that will be aimed at setting up a framework for achieving the short, medium and long-term demands of the Niger Delta to de-escalate this conflict and bring about lasting peace.”
The militants warned international oil companies and refinery operators to stay away from the region, saying: “The NDA high command is restating our commitment to attack the interest of oil corporations and international refineries’ operators that bring in vessels to the Niger Delta to buy our oil that every successive government has refused to use and reapply the proceeds towards any development in the region since 1958.
“If they refuse to heed our piece of advice, it will result to the sinking of two of their mother vessels as an example to others. They should not undertake any repair of pipelines; oil and gas facilities that are damaged or attacked by our forces during this period of “Operation Red Economy” until and/or after the dialogue.
“We are using this medium to warn and condemn the activities of all brands of social media agitators being peddled around by some politicians to promote their criminal ways in the affairs of the Niger Delta.
“This genuine spirit behind our struggle for the Niger Delta cannot be derailed on the basis of connivance by politicians, traditional rulers, settled ex-agitators and criminals moving around to fill their pockets.
The issues of the Niger Delta are as old and as new as the days of Pa Dappa Biriye, Major Jasper Isaac Adaka Boro, to Ken Saro-Wiwa and the government of President Musa Yar’Adua,” the group added.
It warned the Federal Government not to turn the essence of genuine peace talk and dialogue to the prevailing political jamboree where all manner of social media agitators and criminals have being sponsored by the job-seeking corrupt political class to save their faces before the government.
“Finally, if need be, we may review our earlier stance of not taking lives. We are going to redirect and reactivate all our activities if the government, oil companies and their services’ firms don’t heed to these modest warnings of not carrying out any repairs and suspend the buying of crude from our region as we await the right atmosphere that will engender genuine dialogue. We want peace with honour, not peace of our time”, NDA said.

PoliticsGrazing Bill: Anambra Assembly Backs Out by ericuzor(op): 10:28am On Jun 14, 2016
By Enyim Enyim

ONITSHA—Anambra State House of Assembly has backed out of the proposed Grazing Bill expected to be presented to the state House of Assembly for debate and approval.
Every state legislature is expected to have 2/3 majority to pass the bill or otherwise.

Speaker of the Anambra State House of Assembly, Mrs. Rita Maduagwu stated this while briefing newsmen on her score card in the past one year in office being marked today (Tuesday).

She said the stakeholders, elders, the clergy and the Anambra league of professionals had roundly kicked against the bill and advised the legislative chamber to distance itself from it in the interest of the citizenry and the lgbo race in general.

“The Anambra State league of professionals recently came from Lagos to see us and advised us not to support the grazing bill because of the implications and who are we say no if the people of Anambra State have spoken.”

Maduagwu said that within the past one year under her watch as speaker of the Anambra State House of Assembly, four bills had been passed as well as 10 amended bills.

She thanked the state governor, Chief Willie Obiano for giving the lawmakers enabling environment to function as an arm of government, adding that there had been cordial relationship between the executive and the legislature.

PoliticsNigerian Soldiers Killed Many Unarmed Pro-biafra Protesters - Amnesty Int'l by ericuzor(op): 4:04pm On Jun 11, 2016
An on-the-ground investigation carried out by the Amnesty International has confirmed that Nigerian soldiers shot and killed many defenceless pro-Biafra agitators during last month’s Biafra Day celebration in Onitsha, Anambra State.
Although the army in an effort to absolve its operatives of complicity claimed that only five of the agitators were killed when soldiers acted in self-defence. The global human rights watchdog said the army also attempted to destroy all evidence of their dastardly act by loading the corpses of their victims into vans and took them to an unknown destination.
Amnesty International in a statement made available to The AUTHORITY on Saturday yesterday said pieces of evidence gathered from eyewitnesses, morgues and hospitals confirmed that between 29-30 May 2016, the Nigerian military opened fire on members of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), supporters and bystanders at three locations in the town.
Mohammed Ibrahim, country director of the agency said, “Opening fire on peaceful IPOB supporters and bystanders who clearly posed no threat to anyone is an outrageous use of unnecessary and excessive force and resulted in multiple deaths and injuries.
“In one incident, one person was shot dead after the authorities burst in on them while they slept. These shootings, some of which may amount to extra-judicial executions, must be urgently and independently investigated and anyone suspected of criminal responsibility must be brought to justice.”
morgues, it confirmed, based on initial investigation that at least 17 people were killed and nearly 50 injured. “The real number is likely to be higher. Some of the dead and injured IPOB supporters seen were shot in the back, an indication that they were fleeing the scene when they were shot,” the agency stated.
Amnesty International said although the police also claimed that IPOB supporters killed two policemen the next day in neighbouring Asaba, Delta state, it could not confirm the claim, stressing that it has seen no evidence that the killings were necessary to protect lives.
The group said a joint security operation was carried out by the Nigerian Army, Police and Navy between the night of May 29 and throughout May 30, apparently intended to prevent a march by IPOB members from the Nkpor Motor Park to a nearby field for a rally.
IPOB supporters told Amnesty International that hundreds of people who had come from neighbouring states, were asleep in the St Edmunds Catholic church when soldiers stormed the compound on 29 May.
A 32-year-old hair dresser who was in the church told Amnesty International: “At about midnight, we heard someone banging the door. We refused to open the door but they forced the door open and started throwing teargas. They also started shooting inside the compound. People were running to escape. I saw one guy shot in the stomach. He fell down but the teargas could not allow people to help him. I did not know what happened to the guy as I escaped and ran away.”

Another witness told Amnesty International that on the morning of May 30, he saw soldiers open fire on a group of about 20 men and boys aged between 15 and 45 at the Nkpor Motor Park on the morning of 30 May, He said that five of them were killed. “I stood about two poles (approximately 100 metres) away from where the men were being shot and killed. I couldn’t quite hear what they were asking the boys, but I saw one boy trying to answer a question. He immediately raised his hands, but the soldiers opened fire…He laid down, lifeless. I saw this myself.”

The only reason why biafra has failed to succeed is because the ibos want Niger delta to go with them. Ibos cannot succeed among themselves. They need to cheat outsiders.
I know of an ibo landlord who instructed the estate surveyor managing his property not to rent his house to any ibo man. In his own word, "you know say my brothers are criminals".
why come to public and lie like this shows your kind of person how many tribe in Lagos can rent a flat for 1m abeg get sense
PoliticsRe: Nigerian Army Reacts To Amnesty Report Of Army Killing 17 IPOB/MASSOB Youths by ericuzor(m): 6:07pm On Jun 10, 2016
obiremy:
The attention of the 82 Division, Nigerian Army has been drawn to a planned release of report by Amnesty International on the recent violent activities by IPOB and MASSOB on 31st May 2016 in which they were alleging that the Nigerian Army planned the killing of the protesters. This is not true but the usual calculated attempt to rubbish the Security forces in particular and the Nigerian Army just to remain relevant.

It should be noted that the Non-governmental organization has always been of the habit of being the judge and jury in matters of our national security without recourse to fairness, objectivity, all aimed at rubbishing the Nigerian Army for reasons best known to them. This could not be far from trying albeit unsuccessfully to be relevant and justify funding.

For the avoidance of doubt, what transpired that fateful day was that some elements of MASSOB/IPOB engaged in violent protests which led to outright breakdown of law and order. The pro-Biafra protesters who had chosen the day to mark the 50th Anniversary of Biafra perpetrated a number of unimaginable atrocities to unhinge the reign of peace, security and stability in several parts of Anambra State. A number of persons were selected for attack, killed and burnt. Two personnel of the Nigeria Police were killed, several soldiers were wounded, a Nigeria Police vehicle was completely burnt down while another of the Nigerian Army was vandalized. The strategic Niger Bridge at Onitsha was at the verge of being captured particularly with the coordinated reinforcement of the violent protesters from the Asaba end of the Bridge. In addition, wanton destruction of lives and properties were brazenly carried out by the protesters who employed firearms, crude weapons as well as other volatile cocktails such as acid and dynamites. In consequence, law, order and security were grossly threatened across the State and beyond.

The Nigerian Army in synergy with other security agencies under its constitutional mandates for Military Aid to Civil Authority (MACA) and Military Aid to Civil Power (MACP) acted responsively in order to de-escalate the deteriorating security situation. Instructively, the military and other security agencies exercised maximum restraints against the odds of provocative and inexplicable violence that were employed against them by the pro-Biafra protesters. The military and of course the other security agencies acted professionally within the extant Rules of Engagement to successfully de-escalate the budding anarchy. It is rather inconceivable for any individual or group to have decided to inundate the general public with an anecdote of unverified narratives in order to discredit the Nigerian Army in the course of carrying out its constitutional duties despite the premeditated and unprovoked attacks in the hands of the violent pro-Biafra mob as Amnesty International is determined to do.

Thank you for your usual cooperation.

this is trash no matter what why shoot unarmed civilians nothing writing here justify the killing of unarmed protesters because if the protesters were armed like bokoharam then we can see a reason for the sporadic shooting but why shoot people with sticks and banner...
