Dshocker: Does he own the truck or he drives for someone?
Yeah, the only problem is that you spend about 15hrs-20hrs on the road and at the end, someone else would be fucking your wife.
Apart from that, a truck driver makes more money than a medical doctor. No, he doesn't own it. |

If you want to make money in the United States;
1.......IT 2....... Truck driving 3....... Medical doctor 4....... Nursing
If you are serious, you can be making $30,000-$50,000 a month driving truck.
Per annum you make $360,000-$600,000 Lol. One of my friends does trucking. It's not easy at all. I visited him in Chicago in 2018. He's got a broad chest already. He stops and sleeps on the road always, drives all night |

oscarnoble: Civil engineering bro Do you have a registered company? You may just explore the oil and gas sector. There's a lot that can be done in that sector. In 2021 some Indians came to them to secure their pipelines. They didn't know anyone they just sent in their proposal and it was granted, just like that. No single Nigerian participated yet, we'd be hearing marginalisation in the oil and gas. These indians are so smart. They see what we don't see. They always need people to supply them speed boats in the warri axis, USB cables, serial cables etc. Some locals would go and bring used boats from Europe and they'd manage it because people hardly visit them to find out what they need or send them mails on what they can offer. Those whites aren't like Nigerians. They read every mail sent to them and keep important ones for follow up. Many warri guys don't live in lagos. Some may not even visit lagos in a year yet they're multi billionaires. There's one of them whose name I won't mention. He's a chief, young guy popularly called warri billionaire. This is a social media forum so, there's a little to what I can say here. Find time to reach out to them via email. They'd respond. It's not every opportunity they advertise openly. Good luck. |

bigpastor: What can one come back to do profitably?
I am really interested
bigpastor232@gmail.com Oh, great question bro. Let me start from my uncle... In the 90s, he left GA for Nigeria. He saw an advert of Xantrex Engineering inside a magazine and the thought of epileptic power supply back home came to his mind. He resigned as a banker and left for US. He got a job at Walmart. He stopped at a Mexican's paper vendor on his way home, since there was nobody to meet at home so he was just whiling away time with the newspapers. In short, he wrote to xantrex and they said they weren't interested in expanding to Africa and being a new technology, couid be very difficult for him to market their trace inverters in Nigeria. 2 wks later, they reconsidered his interest and wrote to him to join them for 2 weeks training after which he must come to Nigeria to market their products with some demos which he did. His fiends said his village people had prevailed over him because he said he was coming back home. He went to cbn to market it on arrival but they said they had 3 standby gens. When he asked if he could install free demos and they said yes. Some months later,.there was a grid collapse which affected the cbn area. All the 3 generators were overused so they packed up. The directors were in shock after the 3rd gen packed up thinking their IT dept had been affected and data had been lost. On getting there, the solar inverter did the magic, they were so happy they could still keep their data safe. That was what gave my uncle a leap for life. The CBN invited him to an urgent meeting, they thanked him for saving them from huge data loss and asked him to install the Inverter in all the CBN's branches and offices nationwide. When atm came to Nigeria, the cbn recommended him to all the leading commercial banks. He's a wealthy man today. Xantrex Engineering who once turned down his application for agency invited him to a ceremony as the best global distributor of the year 3 times, beating India, Europe and China. My uncle singly sponsored one of the governors' elections in the country, to describe how rich he was. My story,I came back home with my own ideas which serve both health sector and the oil and gas in Nigeria today. By God's grace, I'm doing very well. My expertise had taken me to meet with president Obama at the DAR Hall, in DC. I was the only Nigerian in attendance in that gathering in which over 1000 professionals attended from around the globe. Your moniker suggests to me you know God so, pls Keep praying to Him to reveal to you the hidden riches of secret places. There are opportunities here. Cheers! |

Hopium: Mumu don shoot himself for foot.
First, his reaction came way too late. Too late. The last of the top 4 to speak about the current economic hardship.
Pandora Anini should tell us forward thinking countries where the citizens suffer like Nigerians are suffering because their apex bank want to swap or redesign their currency. I don know say he's a sakamanje and a very selfish conman. I'm beginning to think Obingo is more selfish than mikano. This is the man promising to turn Nigeria to Dubai - someone who has spoken so much against the oppression, poverty, backwardness, corruption, etc affecting the country. Suddenly, the demonic economic swap is good because it's was designed to fight corrupt politicians.
This guys is too poor in tact and reasoning to be a politician in such a complex country like ours. Na just motivational speech - no wit! zero sagacity!
Buhari and the Presidency are saving face with "CBN gave false intel" "CBN told us there would be no problem" but the dull Pandora is telling people to be patient with the ill-thought policy. That's the presidency literally agreeing with what people have been saying that the policy is a flop The ode is literally saying everyone who opposed the swap policy are wrong and people deserve the unnecessary hardship. I see zero leadership quality in Obi; no wonder the Sultan of Sokoto gave him a book to read about leadership
The way I see it Pandora internationally kept quiet and was so happy that "Buhari was fighting Asiwaju with the redesign policy." The delusional man discovered late that he has been left behind when the presidency started piling blame on the CBN. He had no choice than to come out with that nonsense and watery reaction.
Again, ask Pandora to mention countries that are forward thinking that do currency resign like the CBN did.
People should leave social media and listen to local radio stations for a day to listen to people complaining about the hardship they're experiencing because of the swap. There is no note for people to spend. Cash scarcity. The masses are forced out from engaging in the economy. Bad online banking experiences. But Pandora said this kind of things are common with countries doing currency resigns
It's no surprise though. Someone who threw Anambrans into poverty because he wants to save to invest in a family beer business will see no big deal about the current hardship. Masses wallowing in mediocrity is what gives him erection He didn't speak because he's not in agreement with Tinubu, Atiku and Kwakwanso who used to induce crowd to visit campaign grounds, bribe voters and party loyalists with money as seen since the beginning of the electioneering campaigns. Tinubu and atiku bribed their way into winning the primaries and that's no more news. Google is your friend. Nigerians are those supporting obi with their stipends. They go to rallies willingly without being coerced or induced with cash. Tell me why obi should bother himself over this. His comment was on the Nigerians who are suffering the effect of the cbn's policies especially the unbanked and those living in the rural areas, asking the cbn to do the needful |

fineboynl: The naira has lost it value for anyone to put them in soak away. It might be possible in the 60s,70s,80s but not this time.
Only an illiterate will do that. I differ on your post. Are you not aware our politicians have vaults in their homes? Many of them don't operate bank accounts cos there are some money you don't keep in the bank. Naira has lost value truly but would they bribe voters or their loyalists and thugs with dollar? The answer is no! They'd still need to convert that dollar to naira to do so. Instead of going through the exchange stress, they'd rather keep the naira in large qty at home underground. If some politicians should take all their naira to the bank, a branch may not be able to finish counting in 2 weeks, even if they shut the door on other customers and work from morning til night. How much do you think a bullion van could contain? A politician ushered into his compound 2 of it on a broad day light and said its his money. Many of them had stolen naira as far back as 2012, 2013 in billions, for political reasons. Did you not hear that an accountant-general stole over 100bn naira under this administration? Where do you think the money would be? The truth is CBN prints naira each year but most people don't know this. But how some naira notes printed as far back as 2011 are still seen in circulation is baffling. They've been kept underground for over a decade. |

247Hustler: The road to America
By the end of March 2022, I have received responses for all my school applications. I have four total offers with one being funded. I was very happy but I decided to keep calm as I have read several cases of people being denied visas at the embassy.
I proceeded to arrange for the payment of my SEVIS and visa fees. I had a little delay with the payment of my SEVIS fee, so I could not pay on time. For this reason, I missed the early dates that were released for the interview. When the money was finally paid, I started looking for interview dates in Abuja. This process was arguably one of the hardest as dates were always not available. After a series of sleepless nights and sleeping on my computer keyboard, I managed to get a date that was a few days to resumption. I picked this date and began my preparation for the visa interview.
When it was two days before my interview, I left Ogun State for Abuja by road. Prior to this time, I have read news of kidnappings on the road. Although the news greatly disturbed me and my loved ones, the flight cost was exorbitant and going for that option would create a big hole in my finances considering my current and future expenses.
I got to Abuja at night and lodged at a guesthouse for two nights. On the day of the interview, I woke up very early and went to the US Embassy at Diplomatic Drive. When I got there, I met other people who were the for the same purpose and I went straight to the front. About an hour later, we lined up and were told to go in after the checks.
Throughout the process, I was so nervous because the stakes were so high. Since I was the first person in the queue, I was also the first person to be interviewed by the visa officer. My interview lasted for less than three minutes and I was approved. I quickly took my files and left the embassy for the guesthouse. Then I called my family and friends to inform them about the good news. It seemed surreal! My visa has been approved and I will be going to America!
A few weeks later, I booked my flight and the travel was scheduled for December. After spending time with my family and loved ones, I departed Nigeria for the United States in December 2022.
Yes, dreams do come true! I hope someone will try again one more time before giving up on life. A big congrats to you. Nothing good ever comes easy. I had shared my experience here times without number. Of all the good things of life anyone can boast of, a private jet is what I've not bought yet and if God permits, I'd surely have one before leaving this earth. Please while studying, I'd advise you look for opportunities which you could leverage upon here in Nigeria. Nigeria is a country where you can easily make it once and forever legit. Come back home after your studies with the tapped opportunities and develop them here, just like a few of us did with no regrets. I wish you the very best! |

247Hustler: Getting a regular job, financing my education, and graduation
The same month, my uncle-in-law informed me about another job at a local brewery in their area. The company was into the brewing of alcoholic herbal mixtures. He introduced me to the manager and I resumed the following day. My job involved filling empty plastics with hot alcoholic mixtures, corcking, washing, labelling, packaging and arranging them in the store. The job had no fixed salary but the pay was according to how much an employee could work. Top employees who work there full-time usually made more than fifty thousand naira (#50,000) monthly. As for me, I didn’t have the strength, so I usually made about twenty to thirty thousand (#20,000 - 30,000) monthly during the break.
Now, this job was also very stressful but quite manageable when compared to the other one. Workers also enjoyed more freedom and autonomy here and the environment was always lively. The major problem here was that I often got intoxicated (99% of the time) during work due to the high ethanol (alcohol) content of the mixtures. It is funny to remember that I never tasted any of the mixtures even though I worked in the company for more than six months altogether. The second problem was that I often get hungry at work because of the alcohol content that I inhaled. As a result, a fair amount of my money was spent on food at work.
I did this job during all the long holidays, usually end-of-session breaks, while in school. This way, I was able to raise some of the money needed in the school for the new session. I also combined it with the little I can receive from my aunt before leaving for school.
Also worthy of note is the support from the friends I made in school. One of them specifically paid for my school fees in my penultimate and final years of university. May God bless you Kola. I also have another one that would cook and invite me to come and eat whenever I complained of hunger around him. Many thanks, Samuel. My third friend specifically introduced me to his family and that became my second house after school. Oluwaseun and his family are some of the kindest souls I have ever met. Lastly, remember the church member that brought food when I was admitted in the hospital? Yes, she always sent me a token every new session till I graduated.
In spite of all these, I maintained good grades in school and I was on first class from 100 level to 300 level. However, I didn't maintain it till graduation as I ended up with a second-class upper division, barely missing first class by 0.2. Sad In your last paragraph...I missed mine with just 0.02. My course mates were shocked. Till today, I'm still in awe but that never had any impacts on my greatness or achievements in life. May God's name be praised! |

Luu40: I understand your concern as a southerner.
I'm quite sure Tinubu will lose most northern states to Atiku.
One thing you should know is that northerners prefer their own - someone from the North.
Second is Buhari's underperformance in government.
Thirdly, many see Tinubu as a sick elderly man.
On the issue of Atiku, northerners don't like him, he doesn't have any good track records. But most prefer him to Tinubu on ethnic lines. Most will vote him not because he is better than Tinubu, no, simply because he is a northerner and looks healthier than the former.
But the truth is that Tinubu is the only southerner that can even get some votes in the North, he has a well established political structure, a proven track back in Lagos, and instrumental in bringing Buhari to power - though the latter's popularity has been diminishing since the coming of COVID-19 and the economic woes that ensued.
Had any other non-Muslim southerner become the APC's presidential flagbearer, believe me, he wouldn't even be advertisible in the North. No one would accept him. NO ONE. And Atiku's men would have campaigned on religious grounds to prevent all Muslim Southerners from voting the candidate.
To make things worse, PDP allowed Atiku, a northerner to be their presidential candidate - a move I saw a one of the biggest political miscalculations Nigeria has ever seen. This simply means Southern Nigeria can never produce a president via elections. Think about it, Atiku is promising to handover power to Southerners if he wins election - and definitely most northerners won't accept whatever candidate he would bring. On the other hand, the opposition party will field a northerner that will likely win most Northern states. Its going to be a very selfish chain reaction.
In my opinion, for the South to produce a president, the two major political parties in the country must field a southerner as their candidates.
My personal take in the matter: The South should and must be allowed to rule, as much as the North thinks they should. Religion and ethnicity are already parts and parcel of Nigerias politics. No wonder Wike and his men boycotted the PDP presidential primaries result.
I planned to vote Tinubu, I have always admired his politics - and also believe power shifts southwards, and it must tilt in the direction of the candidate that can fetch the largest obtainable votes a southerner can get from the core northern states.
Peter Obi is a good candidate - but the hard truth is that no one in my part of the country would vote him. You can go round my whole local government without seeing even a single poster of his. MOST PEOPLE haven't even heard of him. Tinubu can carve a place for him in his government - maybe finance, labour and employment.
I'll let you do the judgement.
No offence to anyone. We can debate the issue here politely. No offence and I expect everyone to also try and be as civil as I am. Tinubu would have honestly been able to go far in this election but for his shaky popularity in the south. Maybe you're from the south west as myself. I live in lagos. The result of 2019 elections in the south west alone is a proof of his popularity. You may say this time the apc would get more votes cos a yorubaman is running but, those who voted in 2019 in which the pdp had a clear second position im SW weren't gbosts. If they so loved Tinubu and his party, I expected the apc to have won massively in 2019. We tge then apc supporters had thought the presidency would come from the south west after buhari since 2015 after the merger but we didn't guess who that person would be. FYI, I campaigned for buhari and God is my witness. I liked him personally but he disappointed me. Considering the above narrative, it's expected that apc would win massively in 2019 but it didn't happen in the south west. The zamfara and katsina results alone swallowed the entire south west polls in favour of buhari back then. Even here in lagos, osinbajo and sanwoolu lost their polling units to the pdp. To those pdp supporters leaning on the past glory, the narrative has changed in the south now. The major reason atiku won so massively in the south was because of Peter Obi running with him and secondly cos of the apc's misrule. None of their 2015 promises came to fulfilment. The 3m annual jobs, improved education, security, economy, Healthcare, etc. Buhari even promised stopping political office holders from going abroad for medical treatment but what has happened today? 65% of our medics had left Nigeria. Buhari who made that promise is number one beneficiary of overseas Medical treatment. We just concluded that these people were deceiving us. This time around, the narrative had changed greatly because there's no block votes for any of the candidates. Kwakwanso had said he wouldn't step down for atiku so he'd share the northern votes with him and most likely spoil the show for him. I agree with you, Tinubu would get some votes in the north but every core northerner would first think of their own out of sentiments. Down south we crave integrity above sentiments to a great extent but over there, they don't care and I don't expect the majority of them changing this time. Imagine atiku saying north needs a northern president and not a Southern president like tinubu or obi. What does that suggest to you?...and he expects votes from same south ? Out of the abundance of the heart, a mouth speaks. Good luck to all the candidates. |

You hypocrites would never fail to expose yourself, if not for Biafra presidency obi is dreaming of would he even leave been atiku sidechick Emi kii she Biafra and stop being deceived that only those talking of obi is ibo. The election results will prove you wrong . FYI, the reason pdp won so massively in the south in 2019 was cos of Obi. Stop dwelling on past glory cos the game has changed. Have you taken time to visit the average BBC hausa Facebook page just to see raw average northerners opinions aside one sided propaganda you receive, or some apc paid rally
If you do, you would consistently see that Atiku and Kwanwanso is the candidate of the north and choice of north
Nobody measure tinubu or obi, what we await is the stepping down of kwanwanso now for atiku
Let Yoruba and Igbo share south We're all entitled to our opinions. Except you're from the core north would you differ on my post despite the obvious. Atiku had clearly said he'd he a president of the North, that the North doesn't need a Yoruba or igbo president and we do know what that means broda. He said this in English. No offence to any tribe or ethnicity. The antecedents have shown where each belongs and sadly, the scenarios have never changed, especially with Atiku's comment. God bless Nigeria |
