That you are comparing Obi to Mimiko shows you don't know anything about politics.
As at when Mimiko contested in Ondo, he had mad structures within Ondo State. He was a former SSG and was a serving Federal Minister.
Mimiko was referred to as Iroko then and he had widespread structure within Ondo State.
Despite that, he lost.
Just so you know, his election petition was sponsored by Tinubu and it eventually became an issue.

If structure in every election is all about the people, Obi has it and that's the best structure, not any LG chairman or wards councillor. If councillors and LG chair try to mobilise the people either with or without inducement but the people refused to be mobilised, what would you do? The structure which mimiko had was the people, not the position before contesting mind you. Mko has same structure ( the people) likewise Buhari. Was the pdp not in power when mimiko won? Was did Tinubu's candidate not participate in same election won by mimiko? People are the sure structure they're the ones to decide the fate of every aspirant not positions heald by party members. Pdp was in control of the entire ondo state that time. What were their LG chairmen and wards councillors doing? The people decided.
