AwesomeStormy00:yea, we can avoid all that in 2023. The future of Nigeria has slipped off the hands of all the fools we call leaders. |
Emmanuelcann:we all share in the blame. Let's see if we would make same mistake again in 2023. The future of our country is bleak as Nigeria is fast going in extintion. But it's never too late to save her from imminent end |
Would they listen? Dey fly private jets upandan, dey burn money. Fame fades with time. Mike tyson would not make such a mistake again in his next life if there's one |
Victoria938:the dress she wore on her past birthday was better than this. Bush girl like her |
Congrats to you las las 2nd baby don dey dot com. |
Mokason288:Yes and yes! I won't say more than that |
Welcome back home but it's still not sure for you guys, same way it's not sure for the APC. Una don deceive us too much and our mumu don do. PDP and APC are like Nigeria and Niger. If you commit any offence in Nigeria like Abdulrasheed Maina did, just cross to Niger and it's a warm welcome. |
femi4:Nobody, I repeat, nobody has it 100% , not even 80% sef except human beings can marry angels which isn't possible because they're spiritual creatures whom we can't see with our ordinary eyes. I have shared a story on NL before. My Gynaecologist friend once narrated a girl's story. She's a popular celebrity and Abuja-based. She walked into this popular hospital in abuia seeking a solution to his newly wed husband's short and weak joystick. She said in her entire life, she had always desired and looked out for tall, well-built and handsome guy to marry so she decided to wait. Story cut short, barely 2 months after they got married the lady cried out. The guy is rich, handsome, tall and well educated but his manhood was very small and weak. She told my dr friend that, she always thought a tall guy would be endowed down there because she always wanted enjoying her man. My friend sat her down, and educated her that a dwarf may have a very long and wide joystick while a tall guy may not. He told her its not by height but nature. On the weak joystick, she asked the lady to invite him over for some counselling, tests and medication. Most of those pretty ladies you see have one blemish or the other which they cover with clothes , likewise men. |
techmo:I've even modified my comment sef. No matter how small, celebrities who are very rich won't snub your gift. Though ayefele collected and appreciated the money, he might end up sharing everything before stepping out of that place. Last December, my friend who owns an ICT company attended a party where David was invited. He gave Davido 2,500 dollars and he embraced my friend. Meanwhile, davido gives cars worth millions to people and friends. They won't snub your money because they're rich |
techmo:Ayefele is a musician and a celebrity. No matter how rich he is, he still looks for more money. David is super rich...why hasn't he stopped releasing songs and honoring shows invitation? Ayefele too gives. Maybe that money won't even leave that place with him before it finishes. How much is 2,500 usd? That was what a friend gave to davido on stage last December. He gladly collected and appreciated it |
LayconsCousin:someone says the dehydration in that region which dates back to thousands of years ago is responsible for their amazing performance in global marathon. Anyone who had been to Kenya before would bear me witness. You drink water like anything yet you're not satisfied |
He won't be president and he knows it. People should mark my words today. He'd rather present someone from this region. |
But he remains your hero, super daddy and messiah nah. Half of what's going on in the north can't happen under a yoruba-led president, never! Hell would have been let loose by now because we no dey hide our feelings we'd have protested against his govt. We always call a spade its real name and we have never pretended to be the only tribe who loves Nigeria the most. We've proven it in many ways even by putting our lives in the line. Keep living in denial naw. Obasanjo won't forget us in a hurry with the criticism he received from us when he was fumbling as president and he quickly adjusted. |
Na humorous guys dey get most pretty babies pas. This is another proof. Hml |
Fake fake fake |
SonOfAfonja: ![]() |
SonOfAfonja:Haha. But there were, 100k jobs and even more that time too. Banks were paying fresh graduates between 80k and 100k as of that time |
Viknat: ![]() You wan make the homo sapiens people and their fake theory of evolution of man happy abi? |
HammedOlanaija:lol. Its a long time now, early 2000s |
RIP Baba. What a life , well spent with no quest for personal aggradizment or greed as obtainablein our clime, a gentle man to the core. Fare thee well! |
lereinter:Thanks for your comment/mention. But that's the reality today my friend. Pick a topic with a relevant thread and check youths' comments here on nairaland maybe you'd reason differently thereafter. Many don't want to work yet they want to blow. Many claim they're jobless but they can't start from low paying jobs. I've had the opportunity of collecting resumes from friends whose relations needed jobs and most of them were always asking sir, Please how much would you or your friend who's going to hire me pay...i just want to know... FYI, if I was greedy and with the grade point I graduated with, I should have been chasing either telecoms or oil and gas where I could have earned much more and in the endless wait, I might miss it all. My quest for foreign education wasn't borne out of greed. I had the opportunity to save towards it via my commission. It was just an opportunity which may not have arisen, had I been busy pursuing a 200 or 300k jobs . Does someone who opted into an 11k salary instead sound greedy to you? I just wanted to start somewhere and the job opportunity came. Prior to this time I had written lots of job aptitude tests in which I was always doing well as our scores would be announced after each test and minimum allowable/cut-off points would be announced. They'd say thanks for coming , we shall communicate you asap for the next stage and that would be the last I'd hear from them. By the time I found out I'd be told the position had been filled already...obviously by the relatives of directors and senior staff I wrote over 100 applications yet no job. Even by the time the 11k job came, I never knew it was that company at oregun, very popular. Some applicants who also made it to the final stage quit because of the so called ridiculous salary...11k for that matter but I gladly grabbed it. The commission was easy to achieve as I was working like a horse. I was earning close to 50k from commission alone in a month. I later got posted to ibadan where I was the only one covering the entire state and my commission rose by double. My family didn't create any job of course and that made me to work hard too. I was always going to vendor's booths at ring road to read newspapers, would jot down job vacancies and apply at a cafe or at dugbe post office. Those of my colleagues who graduated with a 3rd class had parents who had companies and they ended up working there. To the glory of God, I've been able to create jobs too. You might not fall within the category of the greedy youths but they abound nowadays and that's the truth. What's trending in most FMCGs nowadays is worrisome. Employees would abscond with company goods and money, drop the vehicle near the office ( for those who wish to be nice) and run away. They leave their guarantors to suffer it. Sad! |
maasoap:You have a point in that case...starting a business after a first degree instead of going for masters. I was only saying instead of acquiring skills as suggested, if you had the opportunity of a 25k job, why not stick to it and see more opportunities could come your way? You could even save to acquire the needed skills while on that 25k job, as in my case. Most of those little paying jobs you see have some hidden opportunities On the job training would be a plus as far as experience is concerned and it brightens your chance of getting a much better one elsewhere too |
maasoap:In my opinion they made the worst decision. Have you gone for prison outreach before ? You wouldn't be able to sleep for days if you have the opportunity to do so. Several inmates awaiting trial for nearly 10 years , most of whom were wrongly accused. There's this guy who said he was picked on the street by the police after a robbery incident was reported in the ares . He was 18 years old when this happened but as at the time of visit, he was already 25 years old and his parents didn't even know he was there until someone took up his case. See sores all over his legs. The facility is an eyesore. If such people have the opportunity to abscond, its in their best interest but for those whose jail term was almost completed, the best option was to return. The wrongly accused should just go to a remote village and start a life. In 5 or 10 years, his case would be forgotten. That place is worse than hell. I've not even talked of those who died as a result of one sickness or the other. |
I heard him read the script from the beginning to the end goofy. The man is really overrated. He should just sit down and attend to his health. He's actually much older than he claims. Our leaders keep deceiving us, even with their age but they don't know God frowns at all these. No wonder our country is this stagnant. The Bible says deceit is a ridicule to a nation and honestly elevates her...this our leaders lack. They lie a lot. |
AgentGoat:How do you acquire skills when you're not financially buoyant? This advice could appeal to those from average homes who can afford to acquire some. The larger percentage of graduates in Nigeria today struggled to pass through the university system. Many have been home for years, waiting for that job, even if its less than 25k but never found any. Why do you think lots of graduates went for shawarma business and napep riding? Anyone who had the opportunity of getting a job at all, should embrace it for some good reasons... 1-your experience is adding up and this brightens your chance of getting a better offer elsewhere 2- you can even make much more money while on the job legitimately, just like I did and use same to advance in your career. Within a year on an 11k job, I saved for my foreign degree, paid my flight ticket by myself, etc. Meanwhile during the interview, some willingly withdrew on hearing the ridiculous salary we were goingto be paid. I met one of them recently asking me to help him for a job...almost 15 years after we lost contact ( during which I had travelled to US for my masters and back). Even most of the world billionaires we know started small. But our youths nowadays want to sarted big and end up being stranded in life |
Yea. On my first job as a medical sales rep, my salary was 11k but what I used to rake home in a month legitimately from my commission alone was much. My salary was never touched till I left the company. That was where I raised my foreign education fees. Unemployment isn't really the issue bedeveling our youths today but greed. You wey wan do 300k job, na which one your family don create? My friend took a security job at MTN for 15k monthly and right on the job, he got a much better offer elsewhere through a customer. He later got a scholarship to study in the UK for both Msc and PhD. He's a big boy today doing his things. There are hidden opportunities in those small salary jobs you're ignoring. |
Another way to loot? How well equipped are the existing ones? |
majamajic:You're right . I don see old federal secretariat building ![]() |
maxell:Yea ..sorry for the typos, I actually meant almost 40 years ago and I've corrected it. I knew when this happened though very young . Tnx |
Nbotee:That's how we praise ineptitude in Nigeria. She has been abroad for same reason a couple of times. Even her daughter didn't birth in Nigeria and if anybody should challenge her on this she would definitely defend it |
Only God can judge buhari for stopping baba jakande from executing this life-transforming project almost 40 years ago, for no reason. No wonder Nigeria isn't working under his administration. There's so much hate on his mind for the south, especially the south west but our leaders keep applauding him for their selfish gains. They're sharing in the problem already. |

, but compared to our situation now...that person will commit suicide.
