Several of such brutal killings had taken place in the past where nobody would video them and have codedly been drawn under the carpet. Had Floyd died that way unnoticed by bystanders, they'd have said he was reaching for his weapon so, they pinned him down and he died, same way they brutally killed another black guy in baton rouge in 2016. Alton Sterling was his name. The poor guy was selling CD to feed himself and family. One white guy called the police that he was constituting nuisance. He was shot in the heart twice as he was pinned down on cuffs while one store owner was filming the cops secretly. When asked, they said he was killed that way because he was reaching for his gun. I was wondering which hand would he have used to pick the gun in case he truly had one when he was already on cuffs . By the time the store owner released the video, there was protest wildly in USA and the case later died down . The cops were sided and let go freely without charge. Despite the obvious, they still tried to coin the case in favour of the cop. Only God knows how those among lawyers would male heaven, no be curse. Ahmerdibnz:I'm a friend of the north even though I'm from the south. Northerners caused the negativity themselves and this dates back to the 60s. Education is a liberator. It shapes your life for the better and makes you a better person in the society. It doesn't stop you from practising your religion as it even makes it easier for you. There are 2 major notions which your Islamic scholars had always harped on. During my brief stay in kano, I witnessed this. 1- Anything western education is rooted into Christianity 2- promotion of religion over western education instead of allowing both to go pari passu. Now, the same selfish leaders said kids should go about with bowl and be begging for alms and get trained in Islamic education whereas their children were schooling overseas on government scholarships Also, they've failed to realise the fact that, every religion, race and tribe globally contributed towards the success of the so called western education. Arabic numerals were adopted instead of roman numerals because it's easier to write and apply than latter. This forms an integral part of western education today. Chinese invented writing on papers yet, China doesn't have a religion but we use their inventions in learning today. America invented computers, Greek and the Egyptians of old brought science, etc. Ancient Egyptians were known idol worshippers. In western education, no one is an island. The key rulers of Saudi are well educated and schooled in the west. Back home, the northern elites invested hugely in religion but spared their children who schooled in western countries, those who would occupy their fathers' seats once they retire. The indoctrinated almanjiris of yesterday are now terrorists today, destabilising the peace enjoyed in the north,calling western education a sin...whereas they use guns and other weapons made of western ideas. There are pockets of violence in other parts of the country no doubt, but views, agitations and ideas are different. Moreover, such violence aren't as prevalent as those obtainable up north. Anywhere people see western education as a challenge, there's always poverty. You mentioned that you don't blog but you failed to underhand the opportunities inherent in blogging. Bloggers are millionaires down south. Its a legit business which gives you a platform to advertise and do other things. Telecoms and financial institutions advertise on most blogs. I've never seen a northerner as IT personnel, a blogger, a forex trader ( I'm no talking of bureaux de change agents) or a technologist. Throughout my working career in private firms, I didn't see a northerner as colleagues. Only our head of transport and logistics in a telecom firm was from the north who came through one of the directors. The difference is huge and its not the fault of the current generation. Their forebears caused it. Down south, awolowo would deploy teachers to be visiting houses, be luring pupils with candy so they could go to school. At times, they'd be beating drums to gather them. They feed them in school just to encourage them to embrace education. Up north, the reverse was the case. Down south, most of my Muslim friends attended missionary schools. That didn't make them a Christian. Northern leaders are to blame for all the insults you get. They received far more allocation than the south got, with little or nothing to show for it. You aren't happy the way people talk to your leaders instead of sitting down and ask why. Had buhari profiled Pantami or ran a background check on him, all these disgrace on our country over his stance on terrorist organisations traced to his past wouldn't be there. Does it mean even if buhari must appoint a northerner to head such a sensitive ministry, pantami is the best the north could produce? Nobody hates you guys. Your leaders do. 5 Likes |

I'm in support of the asylum as a yoruba guy because what's sauce for the goose , is sauce for the gander. If you could grant those terrorists slitting human throats open amnesty,...those who had rendered many homes shattered, those who had made people orphans, widows, widowers, penniless and maimed for life, then IPOB members who don't do all that but buhari-led administration proscribed and persecuted deserve more than amnesty. Gbam! I read in the above Newspost that...ipob which they proscribed in Nigeria as a terrorist organisation blablabla. Any group subjected to attacks in Nigeria is a saint in a sane clime because such attacks are always politically motivated here. The oyinbos don't reason the way we do and that's why they keep progressing and we keep running to their countries for help. These people are saying they're leaving this union and you proscribed them. There's nowhere in our constitution where it's written that no tribe should agitate to leave Nigeria, should they wish to, neither was it in the 1914 amalgamation treaty, except the copies the fed govt had had been doctored. I just pity all my fellow yorubas who still believe in this union. Una neva see anything yet. Go to the civil service and see what these people are doing to shortchange us of our legitimate rights to employment. Our corrupt and greedy leaders see all these but commot eye because of their selfish gains. For the first time I was on same page with Bar Muirs Banire on his stance on secession. It will surely happen. We will be much better off, should we stand as a sovereign state. Boko haram war has no ending . These people would keep milking us dry by pumping money meant for general well being of Nigerians to fight it. After all, Ogbeni Buratai was right in one of his exit comments that boko haram can't be defeated in 20 years. Any doubting Thomas should consult Google. I still have a hard copy of that newspaper in which he made that unfortunate comment in the office till date. The same guy deceived us for years by saying boko haram had been technically defeated but made a you turn on exiting the force and told us what we actually knew was the truth. That's the way they'd keep deceiving us until one day we wake up and discover Nigeria had turned Somalia. God forbid. The youths of today in this forum reading this comment should simply add 20 years to his/her current age. If in 20 years time, you look back only to discover that the resources wasted on fighting boko haram only enriched their people at your disadvantage, it would be too late to cry because by that time, you're already growing grey hair. Time waits for nobody. The essence of our union is better questioned now than never. These people don't mean well for us. Once again, I pity my gullible brothers and sisters all in the name of whatever their reasoning is based upon, who are still associating themselves with these people who really know what they're doing. 63 Likes 4 Shares |

I agree with you. You know our main problem? Ourselves. You can imagine people worshipping some greedy leaders like Tinubu who has no decorum or moral rights to parade himself as a leader. His antecedents are being overlooked by some gullible youths whose lives have been mortgaged. Somebody planted all his children, inlaws and cronies in key positions which same youths are supposed to occupy yet, they keep following this man. If you realise how much revenue lagos generates monthly, you'd be shocked yet, this isn't reflecting in the daily lives of every lagisian. If you speak against him, he deploys his thugs to attack you...is that a good leader? What does he do with his 3 private jets when our grandpa, in person of late jakande who happened to be father of modern lagos didn't have a single copter in his lifetime? I wish people following him should have the opportunity of traveling to ordinary South Africa and back. They'd stone our leaders upon arrival. This country is messed up and it's really affecting her cash cow...the yorubanation. The earlier we call it quits, the better We should leave our law makers out of this because they've got nothing to offer and would never be in support of our struggle. Many of them have houses in abuja. One of our governors and a follower of tinubu owns universities in Ghana. Our law makers earn millions monthly so, they'd never want to embrace any referendum which will split this country as they're feeding fat from the union. As you can see, they've started their consultation ahead of 2023 already, both the apc and the pdp. Whether the masses die of hunger, whether our youths remain unemployed forever or not ,they don't care . They're only after their selfish gains. If 2023 elections are held in our region successfully, then God must be in support of it cos I don't see this happening. 2 Likes |

Firstly, you must share in the vague and unfunded belief of theory of the evolution of man which says man evolved from homo erectus to homo habilis and homo sapiens but the same homo sapiens had stopped revolving into another feature like a man having 3 heads or 4 legs and apes had remained apes till today without going through the same theory of evolution phase ever since.
