Baba has said it all, dialogue is key. Its the panacea in a situation like this. Strong head doesn't rule a nation. How Nigerians forget things in a hurty. We shouldn't expect anything strange from someone who once said their monkey and baboon would be soaked in blood...no responsible leader utters such a word. Tinubu is only reaping the the reward of the hyenas he suddenly bathed and wore human clothe all in the name of rebranding a dictator and calling him a reformed democrat at Chatham House, UK ahead of 2015 elections because of his personal ambition, forgetting that a pig, no matter how clean it's bathed would always go back to the mud to wallow. We can see he's truly a reformed democrat now. Like every other Nigerian who committed and admitted their error, I apologise for voting buhari. Please forgive me. Like we survived the worse moments of the military in this country, this moment too shall pass. God bless Nigeria. |
Crap. I'm.speechess. your jazz don turn water. I don foresee am from edo election. Jazz dey expire |
Amotolongbo:In odi, the villagers killed the military. Now, the reverse is the case. You cannot compare the 2. They're 2 different scenarios. Not even America would condone that. They'd have done worse. Hope you understand |
SoBright101:We kow them by their words. We too aren't foolish |

helinues:talk is cheap. Read the below and watch the video. https://www.nairaland.com/6195645/soldiers-turned-back-gbagada-protesters Is it not same soldier? They knew they couldn't try what they did on a broad day light. We sue for peace. I repeat, dialogue instead of force is the panacea |
jcmaiah:That's the difference between education and illiteracy. Aboki would have rushed at that money like mad. Even if you ask them to kill their father, they'd gladly do so after collecting the money. That's the reason boko haram war would never be won in the restive North because they woo youths with money to join. Those who dispersed protesters in abuja were promised ( not given) 500 naira only. Imagine. |

Lipscomb:Im not inciting violence. Call the govt to engage youths on dialogue if you're close to them Dialogue is inexhaustible. State of emergency or deployment of soldier won't change anything it would rather worsen the situation. I'm a man of peace, Nigerians want peace. The govt must as a matter of urgency chart the course of peace now. Violence or force would escalate the matter. Read the below as its happening at Gbagada. Dialogue I reiterate, is key cos youths aren't ready to back down. https://www.nairaland.com/6195645/soldiers-turned-back-gbagada-protesters |
I told people these guys don sign. You can't advise somebody who is ready to die. That's why dialogue is key . Govt should do the needful now. These guys aren't ready to leave the streets. |
Lipscomb:Your opinion not mine. I don't have to tell you anything about myself. Na you be baba of coward. Come join or you shut the fvuck up |
helinues:It's because you're a coward. Is Edo Lagos.? Worst of all protests is taking place in edo already. What of the abuja protest and the siege at the national assembly and CBN HQ,? Same is happening all over the country, including the South East and South South. Today, the niger delta militants have joined, threatening to shut down oil installations and parading the high sea with theirs peed boats and arms. Are they also lagosians? I've been following your comments from day one. You need to identify yourself so we know who you truly are. Coward. I urge the president to address the youths in Nigeria if he doesn't want the issues to go beyond this. Dialogue is key in this situation. Just because of yesterday's attack several govt offices and infrastructure have been destroyed today. We don't want further attacks. Govt should engage in dialogue |
Lipscomb:See his mouth. You just want to escalate the matter. We warned against any form if attacks on unarmed peaceful protesters until the govt was given wrong advice and all these chaos are happening. Now you're coming up with another wrong advice. |
BruncleZuma:lol. Lai right now, thinking of what to say.

My edo people get mind die. We no dey fear anything ![]() I salute your bravery. You be correct edo pesin |
sammysmiles:He's going to strategise, maybe to break the roads leading to lekki next, or pour acid rain from the helicopter on the peaceful protesters and suddenly come to the media again to deny involvement. Hide and seek governor |
Nonsense. |
Openbusiness: I'm a lagosian even though I'm not from there. I grew up in lagos. Go to alimlsho and see over 50 roads with street lights. You go fear. What of the millennium bridge at abule egba commissioned under 18 months? He promised to deliver in 18 months but completed and commissioned ahead of schedule. I've not been to epe but people say alot and such developments were being felt everywhere. Agege pen cinema bridge is his project. I learnt he was removed because according Lagos apc, he's undemocratic...you know what that means? He's not sharing money with them....the people's money. During ambode era, he was harsh on the perm secs because of the way they used to extort lagosians. Especially on C of O processing, Governor's Consent, Building Approval, etc. This enabled those processing their documents get them faster. Initially, to get a C of O approved could take up to 9 months or even longer but under him, within 3 months-5 months, you're done. He said anyone who keeps applicant's documents more than one week on his/her desk must he reported and same would be sacked. Now that sanwoolu is being Democratic, nothing has been done since he got there. Bad roads, heaps of garbage are seen everywhere. |
nairanaira12:those who are protesting legitimately are more than the thugs. I have relations who are graduates and are among them. Those thugs or hoodlums are the uninformed illiterates among youths, who can do anything without looking back after collecting tips. Same are being used during elections to snatch ballot boxes. You can't give me money to go and stab somebody now and think I'd do so. I'd rather stab you, the traitor so, that's it. Those defending the govt or are against the peaceful protests are simply foolish. This doesn't have anything to do with religion. Religion apart. I've seen Muslims praying on a Friday at various protest grounds nationwide, Christians too. No sane Muslim would identify with buhari. Up north, they're protesting against insecurity right now. The youths are saying buhari has failed them so, it's not about religion. Its happening in kano as we speak. Kano is 99% a Muslim state. |
Openbusiness:Yes. The useless tinubu was scared of ambode's political popularity. The state recently declared budget surplus which according to them was as accumulation of the 2018-2019 revenues. Ambode taxed the rich and favoured the poor and used the money judiciously. This one na lie,lie . No single achievement to his credit since he came to power. This time in ambode's era, he had done so much projects. That's what you get when you have a stooge in power. They won't let him achieve anything |
Na this man be the real werey. Hide and seek governor. Same person would deploy thugs to attack peaceful protesters and go on air while the thugs are having a field day, that he's not aware of the incident...if not, how did he know thugs were attacking protesters in the first place? A few hours ago, he told another lie, that nobody was killed in the toll gate shooting. This man is a serial liar. I've stopped believing his statements since the day he said publicly that he spent between 100k and 1m naira to treat just one covid-19 patient daily. I wonder if he was feeding them with manners from heaven. Drs and health workers even protected during that period of non-payment of allowances. |
Openbusiness:Ambode would be forever remembered. The man who governed lagos. There's a difference between ruling a state and governing a state |
What a pity. |
helinues:There's nothing new in your posts so far. You've always been against the protest from day one. Tell us what's new. |
freshMallam1122:We want to stay together. But I see our leaders breaking us with their body language. Sad |
freshMallam1122:At the look of things, regional government would never work. Rather referendum should be put in our Constitution to allow for break up. When boko haram hit North, we protested and government acted. Even Jonathan woke up from sleep. I remember BBOG and fuel hike increase of GEJ era too but then, it wasn't against the south because we had a southern president in office. Now, the northern youths are saying the protest is against buhari instead of a better life for Nigerians which we are asking for and they're always the highest beneficiaries of any proceeds of a protest like this from history. I remember when we protested against the military in the 90s. Northerners instead were in solidarity with the military. I remember same buhari saying Abacha wasn't corrupt but same is busy collecting his loots from across the globe today. Our union is parasitic in nature |
