Rahkman:See this one. What's happening in Lagos is happening everywhere. Have you heard about Benin? Is edo part of omoluabi? What of Abuja Kaduna, South East? I don't know your age. In 1993, it was like this before babangida gave up. It all started in lagos. When lagos coughs, the entire country would catch cold. That's it. We pray it stops and our youths embrace dialogue. Our youths have been peaceful. Those hoodlums aren't among those peacefully protesting. They're the government tools. They used them to disperse peaceful protesters. Their leaders and sponsors should call them to order so they could stop attacking peaceful protesters |
madridguy:They're protesting because according to them, they've not been for dispersing the peaceful protesters after loading them inside BRT buses ![]() |
Basicend:How can you carry what has already been destroyed? Education...destroyed, Healthcare-destroyed, Economy-destroyed, Tell me what's left. Ordinary headache they've jetted out on tax payers money yo the UK. None of their children is schooling in our universities. How would they feel the heat? I still believe in dialogue, it's inexhaustible. 2 minutes of Buhari's appearance would have meant a lot. He doesn't seem to care. This isn't democracy |
madridguy:That's if it has not been applied already |
gaius01:Does it sound to you that these boys care? You don't preach to those who are ready to die. Its a waste of time. What I had always advised was dialogue, dialogue and dialogue even in the face of provocation, dialogue is key but instead, they applied force. |
majamajic:You've said it all. Visit to the scene and addressing them even if it's 2 minutes of his time would have helped stem the tide. |
Bola146:After they have finished destroying the future of youths? Have you ever been to Benin Republic before and see how comfortable they are in spite of being a poor country? I don't want to talk of south Africa, our fellow African country cos you fit faint and never cone back to life again if you visit there. |
You know what happens when you put fire inside a honeybees house? That's what's happening now. They should have applied dialogue all through, instead of killing them. I hope NPA wouldn't be invaded today as threatened by the youths . That would be the end of Nigeria because NPA gives us more revenue than Oil. Egungun don finally enter highway. Who go com commot am for there , we no know. |
Village people has prevailed over this one, except he had no family would he not face justice. Tinubu and co., don use this one |
my people don sign oo. Abeg make una take am easy, so far you don't go the violent route, your voice would be heard. |
Those tanks are much more needed in Borno and and the entire 19 Northern states, including restive yobe, than in the peaceful South, my opinion |
NGpatriot:Why are you attacking me as if I was the one who cursed you? Have you smoked something cheap this morning? |
NGpatriot:Now I know why that guy was raining a curse on you which got you scared. If what you said was true, you don't have to be afraid. Continue in deceit. Radarada |
NGpatriot:See this one. SMH . I wonder what you want to achieve with this post. |
He's an arsonist. ![]() |
Difrent:The last 2 you mentioned were the instruments used by the govt from time immemorial, same way they're being used in elections to hijack ballot boxes. They always have them handy. They first brought them in 3 BRT buses( you know who controls BRT) to disrupt their peaceful protests but it didn't yield results though they attacked the protesters and left. The 2 category of youths you mentioned were those used by the govt to cause chaos to make people believe those peaceful protesters had gone violent. Google is free, search and you'd find where some of those thugs confessed they were sent by the govt. No armed policeman or prisons warders would have allowed such barbaric acts to have taken place if the govt wasn't in support. Looking at them from afar with heavy guns would have sent a strong message to would-be arsonists. It doesn't cost govt anyrhing to build the stations they sent their thugs to raze down. Its still our money they'd spend. |
Vaughanlanrewaj:Burning of banks and setting ablaze police stations are the strategies of the government. Believe them at your peril. At first they loaded thugs in 3 BRT buses to attack peaceful protesters, despite making clear their demands and the fact that they're not attacking government and their agencies. No single shop was looted, they bought food for themselves and conducted themselves peacefully. These thugs left after having a field day and the same govt who sent them quickly came out to deny it. Who owns the 3 BRT buses in which the thugs came, the peaceful protesters? Have you ever wondered why unarmed thugs would enter a station and prison yard, set criminals free and the heavily armed prisons warders and police would be watching without using their weapons? The government could do anything silly. They did this after the ineffective thugs attack, to make people believe those peaceful protesters have gone violent, then invite the military to take over. The more they try to do this, the more they expose themselves. We also want peace because we don't have another country. But this approach of government is not the antidote. It would rather escalate the matter. Fear anyone who says he or she is ready to die. There's nothing you could do to persuade that person. The govt started with dialogue so, they ought to have continued in this manner. This is democracy |
Difrent:The same govt knows where to direct their armoury and not at peaceful protesters who don't hold guns. They sponsored thugs to first attack peaceful protesters but this failed. They now went and hired thugs to burn down stations to make people believe the protests have become violent so they could use that means to have their way. People aren't stupid. Same govt would swiftly come out to deny their evil deed. Have you ever wondered how possible is it for unarmed people to just invade prison yards and police stations to set inmates and offenders free without the knowledge of the govt and the armed police and warders would be watching without doing anything? Can you just arrange for 3 BRT buses owned by the state govt in partnership with NURTW to load thugs to the scene of protest without the govt and the NURTW knowing about it? I guess you're one of them doing damage control on the social media. Continue |
I just wonder if all these hide and seek game of our politicians would stop this protest. You sent thugs to attack peaceful protesters in govt-owned buses and same you would quickly come to the media to deny it. People aren't foolish. Guys are ready to die. Even without any protest, many are willingly committing suicide. I expected the government to have persistently sent reps to meet with the youths, identifying with them and keep reassuring them they'd yield to their demands. That's the tenets of democracy in a sane clime. Ours is a youthful population so, it would be difficult for less than 45% of the populace to overpower over 65% populace who are mainly youths. Our politicians are partial and greedy. We serve them even after voting them in power, instead of them serving us. |
Vaughanlanrewaj:Are you out of your mind? When the government does the opposite, we praise them. When they attack us, we also won't keep quiet, you morron |
Iamgrey5:The protesters were warned but were they armed? What's the duty of military in a peaceful protest? Police ought to have surrounded and protected them instead. This is democracy. Yesterday, 10 commercial busses were intercepted in borno by boko haram and all passengers were kidnapped and marched into the forest. That's where the milirary should be and not attacking the unarmed and peaceful protesters. Those sponsored thugs by govt burning stations to deliberately give protesters a bad name ought to have been gone after and not the lekki protesters. |
Iamgrey5:But they could turn off the cctv which they installed, they could turn off the street light which the state installed. Or were those installations made by the military or federal govt? Who knows where to turn off what...the military or state govt? Are you absolving these guys? Please clarify now |
Waw. See Nigerian youths challenge our leaders. Egungun don enter express. Whoever is close to sanwoolu, buhari, tinubu, etc should just advise them not to address the youths in public at the moment for the sake of their lives. This is barbaric. |
Godchosen001:Lool. Their eyes neva clear. He will never shoot at arewa youths protesting against insecurity, 10 commercial buses were intercepted by boko boys yesterday in borno and all the passengers kidnapped. He wouldn't send same military there to rescue them. This is very bad. Southern politicians should be blamed for all these nonesense |
These people don sign oo |
May God bless our generation. Imagine...in spite of the terror unleashed on the protesters, they still engaged the hoodlums peacefully, even cracking jokes with them. E no go beta for all those wey destroy this country, both dead and alive |
sbaks:Me too...Kikikikikikikikiki |
Now you guys are talking Please don't also forget to cut your budget by half. Nigeria is bleeding seriously in the hands of less than 500 people who earn more than their counterparts globally in a country termed the world headquarters of poverty. We are coming for you people |
blazepascal:Not the beginning, but a preamble. Not only in lagos but nationwide. I like the way arewa youths are protesting against insecurity. Na their own version of end sars protest be dat. Today- today, boko haram intercepted 10 buses loaded with passengers and kidnapped them in borno. It's in the news. Let them keep sending thugs, they'd be tired. |
Draydd:Do you have one and in which areas have you and people around you benefited from his leadership or governance? |
Draydd:Are they not being shot already? That was the greatest mistake any govt could make in a youthful population like ours |
LudaChriz:they've lost focus. Yeye govt |
