Buhari himself was to later disclose that Tinubu kept his word to him not to oppose Akeredolu's run towards and during the election proper, following the imbroglio that trailed the nomination process. And for that, Buhari was thankful to Tinubu.

As for similar characters as Akeredolu (especially once they turned coat after using Tinubu's influence to gain recognition or power) such as Amosun in Ogun, their political influence wane quickly once they leave office, or even while still in office. I have a feeling that's the main fear for Amosun — that Tinubu's continuing political influence in the Southwest may derail his (Amosun) chance of packaging his own successor.

Apparently, most political watchers did not catch Akeredolu's one very sinister move: After Tinubu had spearheaded Osinbajo's nomination to Buhari as the only VP candidate the Southwest would present to Buhari (Buhari had asked for three names out of which he would pick one), Akeredolu went behind to lobby Buhari to make him VP candidate instead!

That, guys, was why Tinubu chose to not be present as Buhari announced his choice for VP, since by then Tinubu was no longer sure Buhari would not go with anyone else other than Osinbajo.

Pls don't tell me a bullshit of biggest economy in Africa but have a debt profile of upward of $60B +. An economy that handed over salary debt of workers that both federal and states cannot meet up with overhead payment of staff. A robust economy that reserve depleted to the lowest $22B in Nigeria history.
Nigeria was on auto pilot since 2013 but the previous govt was patching it up to paint robust economy with all indices and indicators showing red alert.

yea I agree that the biz climate is not very friendly, but for people with limited funds to invest the quickest way to grow your funds is through private entrepreneurship, e g at present tbills hovers around 13 to 17% p/a, that means it will take you about 5.5 years to double your capital, I.e not factoring in inflation, but if you invest the said capital in a business you might double that capital in months. see, tbills and bonds is for persons who have excess funds that they don't need immediately.

The hospitals would be free or very affordable.

I have often wondered why the Toyota venza is viewed as a premium crossover when it wasn't even a commercial success in western countries. venza sales especially in the US tanked so hard that it had to be discontinued by Toyota, I am sure a lot of the unsold inventory in those countries were shipped down to Nigeria, can anyone give reasons why it is so hypes in Nigeria?
