Im loving this game, but the refs are trying to ruin it angry

Am I the only one impressed with the way Pinson plays?
The game was a snooze fest. Too many calls by the ref that were unwarranted. The overall shooting from both teams was bad (albeit UNC improved 2nd half). It was sluggy and grimey. I did not even finish the game but I had this feeling that UNC will win. I am not too excited about the talents that will be in the drafts.

You're too happy this morning. grin
We played rubbish D but Curry's shooting and diabolical layups just dey sweet me. This is the form you wanted him to go into the playoffs with I am happy it is happening now.

Go easy man, Warriors are in a world of their own. Let's hope they've learnt from last year and KD comes good in the playoffs.
And hey! Canter was garbage, so were the other starters. Westbrook's carried the team so much that the flaws of others are hidden(same thing Bron Bron does for his helpless Cavs). Sometimes watching him, you see resignation in his play, he'd be like "let me kuku get my personal accolades. Or isn't it odd the dude was the team leader in all three departments? Na him dey score, na him assist, na him still rebound pass.
They need another PG come next season.
He is having a great season but if he can do less and let others help out, his team will win more games. That is what he is yet to realize. He once had KD yet they did not win 60+ games because of the way Russell plays amongst others.

Steph is doing to Westbrook and Harden what Lebron did to him. If he wants to become even greater, this might be what he needs to master and do consistently. Statement games like these against your wannabe usurpers is what set the likes of M.J, Olajuwon, Shaq, Kobe, Duncan, Lebron ahead of their rivals

Jesus Christ. I can't believe I tipped these guys to potentially beat the Cavs. Just look at these mental midgets bitching about a botched McGee three instead of pondering why they bled 137 points. What a disappoint

https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/wizards-insider/wp/2017/04/03/wizards-find-warriors-to-be-disrespectful-at-the-end-of-the-blowout-loss/?utm_term=.9df948132891
139 actually. What was stewpid to me was how they were losing by 22 points at the beginning of the 4th quarter and kept launching 3s to reduce the score deficit and make it look closer than it ought to be even when it was clear GSW had decided to let it rest. Before long the deficit had shrunk to 9/10. Kerr then made adjustments and returned Steph and Draymond to the line up and the deficit increased to 22 again. Wizards then get angry with GSW and claim GSW were trying to embarrass them by inflating the scoreline.

I was disappointed with Kerr for apologizing to Scott Brooks tbh. Wizards deserved what came their way.
Sports › Re: The NBA Begins by Eruditor: 3:32am On Apr 03, 2017
Curry is the real Wizard as he ends the game with 9/14 threes and 42 points on 22 shots.

We blowout Washington which makes our run come in full circle as it began when we first lost to the Wizards 18 games ago.

Personally, I think the starters need to start resting as I doubt Spurs will still push for top seed again.
Sports › Re: The NBA Begins by Eruditor: 2:45am On Apr 03, 2017
8/11 from 3s for Curry who is evidently in MVP mode. Curry is torching Wizards and Wall- It must be said. 33 points for him and a 22 point lead by GSW.
Sports › Re: The NBA Begins by Eruditor: 2:33am On Apr 03, 2017
300 threes for Threezus AKA Steph Curry.

Zaza and McCaw finally bringing it. Klay too.

If we beat Wizards I might forgive Gortat for KD.
Sports › Re: The NBA Begins by Eruditor: 2:09am On Apr 03, 2017
Curry in MVP mode. John Wall the only top PG to really bring it against GSW in this "Toaster era" well apart from Conley.

299 Threes for Curry in this "bad shooting year".

Hope they lose grin

Edit: they win.

Edit again: another OT.

What a game.

Update: Cavs up by 5, 16 secs to go. They are going to win now.

Sometimes one feels KD doesn't even need to return. Then McCaw starts playing his hesitation rubbish and Zaza can't jump beyond 1 inch. Then I realise 2 aspects that KD would have been destroying teams in.

I think the Thunders' supporting cast have let Westbrook down. With his consistency, they should sit firmly in 4th place by now.
With 40TDs and counting, there is little more we can ask of him.
Once he gets a triple double his teammates become the fault for a loss? I thought the TDs were so important because his team won almost every time he had it?

Russell can play (I can not tire to say it) but the fact remains that he plays for his stats perhaps a tad too much than his hunger for his team to pick the W. I know it sounds crazy but now that they are money for the playoffs that became his ambition.

Will he win MVP? He sure does have his many supporters and admirers even on this thread but if he was to get it, I think the NBA will share it with Harden and they would do so only because of the TDs (which makes no sense to me).

But if I had my way, if Boston head the east then they have no reason not to give it to Isaiah Thomas especially when Isaiah does not get a ton of his buckets through FTs.
Sports › Re: The NBA Begins by Eruditor: 12:12am On Apr 03, 2017
I am fully in support of the Celtics at this point. I would even go out on a limb and hope they beat Cavs on Wednesday. I think Cavs are finding their rhythm and may beat Indiana Pacers today. I need Celtics to have that home court advantage if they get to play Cavs in the ECF.

Let me not jump the gun. By Wednesday/Thursday, one can guage how far they have come.

Dr. Ogbonnaya Onu had the best WAEC result in his time. A1 in all courses. He went to Unilag and graduated with a firstclass degree in Chemical Engineering then he proceeded immediately to the University of Carlifornia Berkeley where he did his masters and PhD.

The Current minister of Education didn't have a Credit in his result either. Those things mean nothing because what really counts is one's objective achievement which GEJ substantially failed in.

To add to that, GEJ didn't communicate with the confidence of someone who knew his stuff. He was timid and lily-livered.

The most interesting part of this whole thing is how Reno Omokri chose to tell us the WAEC without showing us a certificate. He should also tell GEJ to show his PhD thesis.

Hmmmm my Warrior friends, take it easy abeg.
If anything, i don't want Bron Bron to get his hands on a b2b ring, I'm more for KD getting one, dude deserves it as an icing to his great career.
And yeah, I may not have any team i'm entirely rooting for, I just love to watch the game and see guys mesmerize with their play. Guys like Harden, Westbrook, Isaiah Thomas, KD etc.
But that ref thang has become an old nursery rhyme which many here don't take serious anymore cos it's not only against the Warriors that fouls don't get called.
I wish like Sircumalot, you complained after the Houston game at Houston. That way, I would have been sure GSW fans are not just whiny.

Anyways, I get your point.
Sports › Re: The NBA Begins by Eruditor: 4:00pm On Apr 01, 2017
Naaah, the foul calls are not just about Harden or that Houston got a lot of them. It is that the exact/same foul calls don't get called for GSW.

You have to realize that each time a player shoots a FT someone on the opposing team is racking up fouls. That is why we complain.

Against Houston at Houston Harden got his first foul 5 mins towards the end of the 4th quarter yet Curry had 4 fouls by then. If you compare the fouls Harden got to the one's that went uncalled for Curry, you would get the big picture.

Besides that, some comments are not a holistic representation of the game but spot-on comments. Case in point, my first comment on fouls yesterday was for a call when Harden clearly tripped himself and got 2 FTs when replays clearly showed no one touched him. Few mins later Draymond was bumped enroute to a layup and you could hear the crickets chirping on the side of the refs. That's not just poor refereeing, it seems bias whether or not Harden knows how to draw fouls or not.

So stop making it about Harden. I can list like 3 instances in the first half of yesterday's game.

That first rockets game wasn't properly called and I said so after the match on this thread.
But to be making statement after every game like the league is out to get you? No way.
Check out how many free throw derozan shoots per game.
He probably shot half of the raptors free throw in the game you're referencing though I have no memory of it.
I see your point, but I was just calling the game on the go. At the end of the game the officiating was not as bad overall as it was the last game. But in real time, when I saw a conspicuously bad call I came here to comment. I wasn't necceassarily saying this game was as bad as the last one.

I really do think sapiosexual1 is unbiased he can't stand LeBron doesn't really care about the warriors and only likes Wade.
That is as close to unbias as we are ever going to get on this thread.
You have said key words: if he can't stand Lebron, chances are, his views would be tainted against him. Same goes for Warriors. To be effectively unbiased, you have to hate or love both teams playing or else there would be some bias. For instance, he watched that game to see Harden "make a statement". How then would he accept that some of the refereeing mistakes were just too stoopid to make at this level especially when the accusation is incligned to making Harden "not make a statement"?

All this stuff are still down to human error not some conspiracy, the disparity exist because they drive to the basket more than you do simple.
When KD comes back everything go normalize because he gets calls too.
They did not drive to the basket more in that game oga. I don't know how often I have complained about this type of disparity this season since we played Toronto game 1 when they had 40 FTs. I was not even particular about Harden getting and Curry not getting any. It was a team issue. Houston players got suspiciously more fouls than GSW players in a game that was heavily one-sided without it.

I actually thought we'd drop of of the last 3 games but I'm tired of having to announce we won cheesy
One person that makes me so happy is Goatgodala cheesy that Bro is special.. Shaun Livingston needs to activate himself too. How can fans not love the Warriors? This surprises me everyday. We literally played two opponents at once GSW vs Rockets and referees.

To be honest the Celtics are still unpredictable. If anyone would give Cavs trouble it should be Celtics or Wizards but
Wizards have been in free fall. They have lost the last 3 I think. Celts could be the team but they need 1 more star player either in defence or offense to help Diminutive Isiaiah as he cannot do it alone. Because of that, I know they may take 2 of their home games against Cavs if they met in the playoffs but I don't see Cavs losing past 2 games against them for now. But we can only speculate.

IGGOATDALA!!!! I hope his back stays in tact. It is clear he was not himself when Lebron blocked him in the finals following the spasms he had suffered in game 5 or so.

You guys wouldn't give it a rest, would you?
You make it sound like the NBA is out against you.
Same mistakes abound in other games too, but ofcus you'd cry out because it's the warriors. If it were that obvious, it's the duty of your front office to lodge a formal complaint to the commission.
Pls this ref issues are becoming stale jare, ball hard and win square, in that way even if you get no FTs, you're still good.
PS: I watched the game from a non-biased perspective and I think the refereeing wasn't half as outrageous as you make of it.
You almost had me until I saw non-biased...

Nice try. grin

You're listening to only warriors commentators the referees no get beef with you.
Harden just draws fouls in regular season come playoff time they won't reward him.
Oga forget draws fouls. This is not entirely on even Harden give me a break. Harden tripped himself, replays immediately showed it such that the spectators in the game drew ooohs and aahhs because nobody fouled Harden. Capela or Lou drives to the basket for a layup they get bumped a little and refs give the and 1. Fine.

Draymond Green and Steph take turns to go to the rim for a layup. If the layup is made there is barely ever any and 1. Couple of times you could hear the swat on McGee's hand when he is fouled but no and 1.

I don't even want to mention FT disparities in outrageous proportions like 39-16 against Houston and then 20+ to 10+ against Spurs. How come one team is beating you silly and scoring more points in the paint but somehow you are getting a ton more free throws than them?

Without that huge disparity in the FTs last time against Houston there is no way that game gets close at all. They shot badly and had incredibly shameful shooting numbers at the 3 (their niche) yet almost leveled the game through only FTs.

If you are going to give the same foul to Houston then give it to GSW so we know you are balanced.

GSW commentators you said? I am referring to Clyde Drexler when Houston lost at home. A couple of times he would laugh during the replay and say he did not see any foul on Capela or Néné. The GSW commentator said "Harden trips himself but these are the type of calls that go your way when you are in the MVP conversation".

Even though the bad officiating was more subtle yesterday, the last game against Houston was the worst I had seen all season. Quote me.

Going to bed. We didn't blow them out 3Q but atleast we levelled the game. Expecting Houston to get tired (following back to back) in the 4th Q so I hope we completely snuff out their 3 point game as it has kept them in this.

GSW we do this.
Sports › Re: The NBA Begins by Eruditor: 5:00am On Apr 01, 2017
I am beginning to hate James Harden and his flops to con refs. Good thing Steph is resting his arms for the latter part of 3Q when he would take over. Klay is cooking. 4 pt game.

Please someone should stop daring Patrick Beverly to shoot those 3s he is making them.
Sports › Re: The NBA Begins by Eruditor: 4:41am On Apr 01, 2017
SmooshCHN where art thou? Refs have started again even though Houston are killing on the boards, the refs give them phantom and sometimes cheap fouls. On the other hand, Draymond is getting smudged with no foul calls or and 1s (when he makes them).

We are getting our Rythm back. Javale, Klay and Iggy doing big things. We are blowing them out 3rd quarter.
Sports › Re: The NBA Begins by Eruditor: 4:32am On Apr 01, 2017
NBA refs. Una well done.

Still sloppy from the team. Klay needs to get in his rhythm. Winner will be decided in the 3rd quarter most likely.

Breaking Oscar's record is a given, i think he would notch 43 TDs.
The media would go into a frenzy and that may just tilt the MVP his way.
Make I watch ballers, this game is all about Harden. He needs to make a statement in this game.
He can make his statement and still lose. My team needs to shake out of this sloppiness. Routine passes are not hitting their targets and some of it is unforced.
Sports › Re: The NBA Begins by Eruditor: 3:52am On Apr 01, 2017
Really sloppy start from GSW. Sloppy shooting and almost sloppy defending especially at the 3 point line. I hope they shake out of it soon. Houston can't go on a 13-2 run at the Oracle.

Sore clutch time loss, another reason why Pop is the best manager out there. Let's not mention it here but hey, that's the 39th TD with 7 games left? Phew!
Stay woke, we go watch your game together.
He is going to average a triple double this season. The maths says he needs to average 3 assists and 3 rebounds per game and his numbers will still average at a triple double. The only record he wants to chase and break now is Oscar's.
