Baba this is just Q3 na and we have seen bigger Q4 comebacks.
But important thing to note is your appreciation of his balling activities.
Methinks if Westbrook had a better supporting cast, he would have a better head-to-head against the big boys.
Well, if he can let a better cast express themselves more he would have done better today. No facilitator except him and nobody else could score today. His 4th quarter TO was significant but we have to let it slide. He has tried though. Perhaps, if his team finishes 5th he should share the trophy with Harden but if Celtics somehow finish top seeds in the East, I think Isaiah should win it.

Jesus! Who do I blame?

Hmmmmph.

Spurs perform a miracle and beat OKC 99-95.

NOW WE HAVE TO BEAT HOUSTON. Pressure we didn't need.

Spurs cut down a 20 point OKC lead to 6.

Isaiah Thomas becoming my new MVP. Celts up by 1. 35 secs to go. Hope they win it now.

Boston losing and Cavs winning. Please Boston don't do this to me.

San Antonio Spurs getting Killed by Russell and the OKC gang. I have to celebrate OKC today as I need distance between us and SAS in terms of seeding. Hate that Russell is balling out of control though.

He shot pretty well vs the Cavs. I feel he was definitely flummoxed by the multiple defenders sent his way. I do agree with your facilitator argument however because I observed he took quite a lot of unassisted shots. That is an aspect I feel Kawhi can add to his game. He can become a 5-6apg player even at SF. Heck if Jimmy Butler can then Ka-why not Kawhi?

After a tough game vs the Rockets where Draymond got hurt I just thought with the home ginger and all it would be too much for the Warriors. Some games you circle in the calendar as L before you enter court, but its good that the Warriors are remembering who they were before K.D it also helps that guys like West, Barnes, Iggy are playing their roles
His shooting was just there against Cavs. He is like 0-12 from 3 in his last 3 games or so. I understand what you mean by defenders in the GSW game though. I don't think Parker should get the 5 year contract he is looking for. He is on his last legs. That Murray kid should become the PG.
Sports › Re: The NBA Begins by Eruditor: 12:36pm On Mar 31, 2017
Can't believe the Bulls swept the Cavs. I went to bed when Cavs led 41-34 following a James' three and I thought they would win the game. I still think they would get it together like Hakeem Olajuwon and his Rockets did in 94/95 but that's because Celtics are undermanned, Lowry is out for Toronto and Wizards are not mentally up there. I however do wager that Cavs might be 12-7 at the end of the ECF.

But on a more serious note Curry is doing well to lift his team just at the right time. Though what he is doing now isn't as phenomenal as what he did last year or the year before but considering the ups and downs of the big boys this season, Curry is doing just fine.
For the regular season, let's not big him, the playoffs is where he should come into the discussion.
The regular season belongs to those who have managed consistency over the stretch.
Curry does what he NEEDS to do to make his team win. That's where Russell is still coming short. Curry could have had triple doubles in at least 6 of his last 9 games but he would rather sit it out and keep himself fresh for the playoffs.

As for playoffs and when he needs to come into the discussion - I hate to say it, but that narrative is played out. Curry was easily GSWs best player in the last 2 playoffs up to the finals. Sure, he was not up to par against Cavs in key moments but in all his games leading to the finals he was big time. If you doubt it, check his stats against Russell and KD in the GSW-OKC series and when you consider that his team won, then you can conclude that he outplayed them.

I don't even want to talk about the 2015 finals. My opinion has not changed. Curry and not Iggy deserved that finals MVP but because the NBA wanted to give Iggy more credit for stopping Bron than Curry for his clutch shots and free throws they announced Iggy the finals MVP.

To put numbers to what I am saying, Curry averaged roughly 27 points 6 assists and 2 steals in the finals which was actually about 28 points 8 assists and 3 steals in the last 3 games after GSW went down 2-1. The last finals in which dick-riders came mouth agape for Kyrie forget that Kyrie's 2016 numbers were about the same as Curry's in 2015 which begs the question, why do they always claim Curry has struggled in the playoffs?

Curry had a 24pt first half against Houston before his injury in game 1. Had a 40 point and 29point game against Portland in the next round. Had a couple 30+ games including the 36 of game 7 that saw his team beat OKC 96-88. Had a 38 and 30 point game against Cavs in he finals and a 19 point 4/10 (from 3s) output in which he scored no bucket in the 4th quarter. At that point, he matched Kyrie for points until Kyries 3point play on Ezeli, 2 FTs and dagger 3 to seal the win. Which is great no doubt but was simply because Lebron became the main focus of GSW which freed Kyrie up. Similar to the way Curry was being hounded and Harrison Barnes had open looks to shoot 3s and 2s yet went 5/32 in the last 3 games.

When all is said and done, say 9 years from now, many will realize how Curry changed the NBA especially teams' ways of defending from the top of half court because of the fear of his parking lot 3s. See how many clean looks Klay had yesterday because Pop thought it wise to put 2 sometimes 3 people on Curry just to prevent the 3.

And yea, "when he does not shoot 3s he cannot influence a game". Tell that to the Spurs defence he kept dribbling through for layups. Or his 10+ assists average in the last 9 games.

Then some good PGs had a few good games this season and Curry became wack and did not deserve an all-star start. Yet his "bad season" is better than 98% of other NBA players good season.

Wow at 26-3 I was wondering why Kerr didn't just rest players. They had every excuse to do so but didn't. Its a massive W tbh. Blowout win on the road on the 2nd night of a b2b without KD. The Spurs would not admit this but it must worry them that Golden State have so many guys they can throw at Kawhi (Iggy, Livingston, Barnes, Klay)
Kawhi is in a shooting slump but more than anything Spurs lack a facilitator. Tony Parker is not what he used to be and Patty Mills is only a pretender- he is more of a shooting guard than a point to me. I think that's where they mismatch with GSW.

Now Pop would have loved to beat GSW yesterday so he can know that the only puzzle left to solve was the KD aspect so you can imagine his shock yesterday. But as a GSW supporter, I was only surprised that we came back from 22points and not that we beat them. People forget (and that's largely because we used to perennially suffer in their hands before) but last season, apart from the 87-79 loss the 2nd time we played them, the other 3 wins were essentially blow outs.

The NASS are not enforcers of laws. They merely legislate which essentially means they make laws. There is an executive to execute and the judiciary to interpret. They are overstepping their bounds but I blame PMB more because he is the one over-indulging in separation of powers thereby giving these illiterates the wrong conception of their primary function.

They don't tell the president what to do, neither is he bound by law to accept their resolution. They only recommend to him and it is at his discretion to accept it or not.

God I weep for Nigeria!

Don't worry. We are waiting for you people in 2019. Eediots.

Curry just outplayed 3 MVP candidates in the last 2 Weeks but someone will come here and question his mental toughness. Down 20+ we saw how the GOAT feigned injury to hide his face but mentally weak Curry stayed his term.

I have said it before: put 3 players marking the PGs people say are better than Curry and watch them fold like a pack of cards.

Shout David West though. He really surprised me. And Iggy was giving us points in the first quarter when we couldn't make a bucket to save our lives.

We have beat SAS now in the past 2 seasons on the end of a back to back. That we did it without KD is simply phenomenal.

Houston won. Lol cheesy

Even when the refs did all they could. We still held on. Matt Barnes did pretty good
LOL. Saw they almost gave them 40FTs in that game. My only anger now is that Curry missed 3 FTs which should never happen. It is a shame they let him take hits as if he is LBJ but the flipside to it is, it will strengthen him come playoff time and prepare him psychologically as that is the only way teams mark him.

Happy with Matt Barnes' contributions and Iggy has been something else since his back fully healed. Now people can understand why he was not himself against Cavs last finals.

We forced Harden to shoot garbage percentages but in his defence, he got his wrist hit and swollen against OKC. My guess is, Mike D'Antoni will rest him against us at Oracle.

I hope our players have enough in them to take a win at San Antonio. We need to seal top spot and beat them once without KD (it would go a long way mentally). Saw that Green still put up 19pts despite his bad start with those air ball 3s. That's huuuuge.

Here is when the referees do help Houston's offense. Draymond needs to do more than just defense.
The FTs on Harden for the 3. The FTs on Néné were phantom. Rockets have shot 17/19 FTs to GSWs 1/2. This type of homecooked refereeing is unbearable.

Now Curry has 3 fouls.

I think Javale should play and Curry should drive more to dish out fouls on Harden and Beverly.

How has Bron Bron fared against the big boys? Does that take anything away from him?
When history is being sung 10yrs from now, do well to remind those who care to listen that "all the TDs" were against non-playoff bound teams. You may also want to emphasise it that his rebounds were stage managed and defenders cut him loose so he could attack the rim.
Give credit where it's due man.
I have never taken anything away from him. He should get the scoring champion trophy and the triple double one too. MVP? That's another different conversation.
Sports › Re: The NBA Begins by Eruditor: 2:28pm On Mar 28, 2017
As long as he keeps beating Timberwolves and Sixers with this TDs. He deserves to be the MVP. Let Harden keep beating Spurs, Cavs, GSW and OKC enroute to placing his team firmly third with 51 wins. Those things don't count. Triple doubles do.

Oya it is time to pay for spreading lies. Sebi you ready to join SR eat the fruit of their decetful campaign?
I wish you know how disappointed in you I am when I see you make political posts. Disappointed because they betray your spirituality. You need to check it.

So what evidence did the VC present to buttress his claim that Dino graduated? Dino's cert? Proof that Dino was posted through ABU to serve? Dino's name in the list of graduands? Proof Dino passed all his courses and satisfied the conditions of his graduation?

Do you realize that if a school waives off courses for a student who couldn't take them they are not allowed to issue such a person a cert stating the degree but instead will offer them a cert of participation? Do you realize that one with a cert of participation cannot undergo NYSC? Will not have their names in the convocation brochure? Will not be treated as an Alumni of the school?

So Dino has no certificate. Did not do NYSC (He claimed 99 but the VC said he graduated 2000 so reconcile it). Was not in the dept's list of graduands. Was not in the convocation brochure for years 1999-2001. Only Dino.

Yet I am supposed to believe he graduated because the VC said so? grin

Sorry to ask, did you attend any higher institution at all? I asked this because there is a lot of ignorant statement from your post. You're questioning that the VC said "according to the records" that Dino graduated and I ask which record do you want him to quote before? Of course he will quote from the records of the school just like Harvard said according to their records Dino didn't have a degree from them.
And please stop talking about the courses you said Dino failed and didn't rewrite, how do you know he didn't rewrite them? And how do you know that his dept didn't wave it for him? Please stop clutching on straws and accept that Sahara reporters may have goofed big time. Though I know the turn of events have not fitted into your expectations (wanting the allegation against Dino to be true by all means) but you have to let go. You win some you lose some
Stop asking me asinine questions. Your post is riddled with grammatical blunders and you have the nerve to ask me if I attended higher institution.

What record did the VC present to the Senate as concrete proof that Dino graduated? Dino has no certificate. Dino presented no statement of result. All we have to take is the VCs word which could be wrong.

Only Dino, no certificate. Only Dino BA Geography (his colleagues in the same year have BSc Geography). Only Dino, no NYSC cert. Only Dino his name is not in the convocation brochure. If you want to believe this scam, go ahead. Leave me out of it.

What right does a department have to waive 4 courses for someone so he can graduate? And if it was waived, why and what evidence can they produce to support this claim? As far as I am concerned you are the one picking chimeral reasons as to why the VC cannot be defending the reputation of his school even if it means lying for Dino.

Time will reveal all. It always does.

And you believed them? Do you know that a court can comssisioon an independent body to go and verify what the VC said? And if the VC knows that this is possible, do you think he will lie under oath knowing the consequences? If you were in his shoes will you do that just to protect one graduate out of thousands of ABU graduates? Abeg make we dey reason things objectively joor.
Anybody can lie under oath either by omission or commission. I didn't even say the VC lied but that he reported what he saw which is "according to his records, Dino graduated".

His records could be wrong- it is a given. He was not there when Dino graduated and does not arrogate to himself the right to decide the conditions that should help anyone graduate. What needs to be done is for more investigations to be carried out or else, the reputation of ABU will forever be tarnished.

How can a student owe atleast four courses to the school but he is exempted from taking them? The only condition that makes a school free such a student is if he/she has stayed beyond the terms of his schooling (6 years for sciences/Arts and 7 years for Engineering) and has still not passed the courses. In that situation, the student is given a cert of participation and is allowed to leave.

Such a student is not eligible for NYSC; not allowed to claim being a graduate of that school; won't have his/her name in the list of graduands; can't work with that certificate.

This might be a conspiracy theory but I am guessing that is exactly what happened to Dino.

You talk as if you' have credible evidence that Dino didn't graduate rather than what Sahara reporters have been feeding you. I will say it again, I will comfortably believe what the VC of ABU said under oath than what a faceless media organisation claims
According to SR, it is the exams and records that are insisting Dino didn't graduate legitimately.

Every statement needs to be backed by fact.

who is sahara reporters?

Does sahara reporters admit or graduate students.?

Do they keep records of student?

If the University VC can come out and say before the Nass dino graduated, then i think it is safe to say he did.

This is not an ordinary case, the VC presented in front of the Nigeria senate. Do you know how serious this is?

The president of Nigerian, IGP of police, Minister of education and DSS will all be interested in the matter, and will be watching with rapt attention.

You can imagine the level of due diligence he would follow before making any statement.

As far as i know this is not the first time sahara will publicize incorrect information.

Let us not be blinded by sentiment.
You are infusing a fallacy to make your case. Salisu Buhari, Evans Enwerem both swore to abide by the truth in their certificate cases. The only thing that saved us was that they claimed they graduated from University of Toronto in Canada. Had it been, that they claimed they graduated from ABU, I am sure the VC would have come to ascertain their claims and you would take it hook, line and sinker simply because the VC was in front of senators.

As if James Ibori that was termed not guilty in Nigeria didn't go to UK to plead guilty to virtually the same case. Yet someone would have claimed "the Judge who adjudicated and ruled Ibori not guilty couldn't have lied as he swore an oath not to lie".
