OneSentence: this is what I don't understand about Nigerian judiciary. this man is without doubt a criminal. lots of people have openly confessed yet he is being freed by the courts. Get your facts right, he was not being ''freed'' by the courts, he was only being granted bail and his trial would continue. If the Fedreal government had complied with the bail all these years, the trial should be nearing a conclusion by now, but the matter is still only at the bail or no bail level!! An armed robber caught red-handed or a rapist caught in the act would still be taken to court, only the court has the power to pronounce anyone guilty or innocent and nobody or government can do that. |
Arguably the most high-profile detainee is Sambo Dasuki, once a security adviser to Buhari’s predecessor Goodluck Jonathan. Charged with offenses related to money laundering and diverting money supposed to be used to buy arms to fight Islamist militant group Boko Haram, Dasuki has been held for three years as bail orders, including from an Economic Community of West African States court, have been ignored. You even said high profile-detainee. Anybody that wants this cruel rogue released without the country knowing the main root of the matter is nothing but a fellow rogue and devil. A man who hundreds of soldiers died on the battlefield because the money for artilleries was shared to some thieves. A man that was sharing money like father Christmas. A man who whispered on whose order he was sharing the cake but the man that gave the order denied. A man that lots of people who collected this billions of dollars named him as the facilitators....and You want him released? There was a nation! The sane ones here can read this.... 1. I acted based on Jonathan's instruction - Dasuki
2. I didn't give order - Jonathan
3. I collected 350M from Dasuki for consultation - Iyorchia Ayu
4. I only collected $30,000 from Dasuki not N100m - Bode George
5. I got N4.6b from Dasuki for spiritual purposes - Bafarawa
6. I got N650M from Dasuki for my Abuja burnt office - Thisday Obaigbena.
7. I got N2.1b from Dasuki for publicity - Dokpesi
8. I got another N100m from Yuguda he didn't tell me from where - Bafarawa.
9. I gave N100m each to Odili, Jim Nwobodo Bode George and others - Yuguda
10. The president asked me to change N10B to foreign currency for PDP delegates - Dasuki
11. My boss asked me to get $11M from the CBN - Dasuki's account officer.
12. I got order from above to pay Tompolo N13B for Maritime university land. - Nimasa DG.
13. 950m was shared in my house -- Shekarau
With all this looting and many more revealed, some people are still shouting no sign of change yet, they even say it's political persecution. But we believe, it is the right thing to do. If you believe too, send this to other people to garner more support for the fight against corruption and looting in our nation. There must be consequences for such crimes otherwise Nigeria will not develop. .......In Vietnam, corrupt politicians are executed, but in Nigeria, they are celebrated by corrupt youths!
But what did Nigeria do to deserve these types of individuals who should be living in Ougadougu in Bukinafaso or Libya where there is no rule of law, due process or constitution Why some people who were supposed to have gone to school choose to support the disrespect of a Court of law still baffles me, when they know how things are done in advanced countries we all aspire to go!! Nigeria do not deserve these type of individuals.. They continue to draw the country backward. |

frowland: Oh, I see you refereed to SS ONLY. What do you mean by desperation if I may ask? I don't like having a healthy discussion with someone who then choose to turn it into a hate/heated discussion. Please count me out on that. I am desperate over what exactly? Am I more desperate than those PDP leaders in SS for the past 19 years with 15% allocation with absolutely nothing to show for it? Please maybe you should channel your anger to them and not me. I am simply airing my views and nothing more, I have one vote same as you and millions of others. Most hungry voters, villagers, old men and woman, street urchins and touts who do the actual voting are not on NL or Facebook. We will meet at the polls. It only seemed to me that you were desperate when you said I refered to the southeast or Igbo, you said this two different times in two different comments, TWICE, despite trying to correct you that I wasn't referring to Igbo but the south-south! Meanwhile, you kept silent on my clarification on the issue of ''marginalisation'' towards the Igbo by the APC which you asked me to clarify. Shalom. |
Politics › Re: Tambuwal Defection: Sokoto Remains APC State - Wamakko by escodotman: 12:14pm On Aug 02, 2018 |
frowland: Maybe I misunderstood your previos post as you meant the winners of SE states. Imo was PPA under Ohakim, then APGA before Rochas moved to APC and still won with it. Anambra have been APGA. So your claim that all Igbo states have been voting for PDP is misinformation and untrue okay? ..and this is not ignorance, its a fact.
Secondly, how were the Igbos maginalised? Amaechi is minister of transport - take it or leave that area of River state is Igbo and that is one of the most powerful portfolio Minister of Trade and Investment is Igbo and if you don't know that is one of the biggest portfolio ever, then we don't need to have this conversation again Minister of labour igbo as well. CBN governor is Igbo. I don't know what else you need. Same as Ngozi was Igbo. You will notice I don't talk about states because that is just a political contraption.
What makes you also think Tambuwal.. a true blood descendant of Jihadst Dan fodio, will stop herdsmen attack or arrest the leadership of Miyeti allah etc etc? ...also will give you more appointments and after 8 years will give Igbo the presidency? If you don't have those answers, same as me. I only choose the shortest route - The devil I know ..... I think you still need to go back to my previous post & don't deliberately or mischieviously twist my comments openly in broad day light!! I NEVER MENTIONED SOUTHEAST, I ONLY STATED DELTA, AKWA IBOM AND OTHER SOUTH-SOUTH STATES HAVE ONLY BEEN FOR PDP!!! Why you've chosen to continue making referrence to southeast states is only best known to you alone, and it is desperation! Hilarious how you referred to the post of ministerial appointments which is costitutional that ALL states of the federaton must have one minister in the executive cabinent. What you should rather look at is the other appointments, e.g heads of security agencies, defence, army, navy, airforce, custom, immigration, dss, police, civil defence, efcc and many others. If you can point to a particular agency here where an Igbo man heads, then you've done well with your arguements!! What about recruitment of workers/civil servants into all these agencies since APC came into power? The last DSS recruitment generated the most debate where Katsina had over 30, Kano had over 20, many other northern states had significant numbers, Lagos had 7 and THE ENTIRE SOUTHEAST GEOPOLITICAL REGION HAD JUST 1 !!! The entire Igbo had only just 1 ! |
Politics › Re: Tambuwal Defection: Sokoto Remains APC State - Wamakko by escodotman: 10:39am On Aug 02, 2018 |
frowland: You are wrong to say that those states you mentioned have never voted for any party apart from PDP. That is a fallacy. And do I remind you that PDP is a northern party accepted by SS and SE without questions asked? Just relax, soon you will understand the dynamics of politics because I cannot see how we Igbo should/would, vote for another 8 years of Usman dan fodio descendant - Tambuwal, instead of looking inwards or even taking the shortest route of giving APC 4 years.
If we don't like Fulani's why then give our votes to another fulani man? Because he changed his cloth and presents himself again with Umbrella instead of a broom? Does not make sense. It is an absolute ignorance to say those states mentioned have been ruled by any other party other than PDP.....it is a total loss of connection with reality or deliebrate twisting of facts and truth. It is shocking to see an ''Igbo'' person rooting for a party that has largely and always marginalising them in terms of appointements and even referred to them as ''5%'', not to talk of constant clamping down on them with military forces and even branded them as [b]terrorists[\b]!! And what makes you think APC would give Igbo the presidency after another 4 years of APC, knowing how quickly the party go back on promises to say they never make such promises? |

I can assure you that the Delta and Akwa ibom you mentioned, icluding all other south-south states have never voted for any other party apart from PDP & would definitely not vote for Buhari. Kwakwanso factor will also play in Kano but Buhari would still have votes, so also PDP...they would likely share the votes. How would they ''checkmate'' southern votes, please let me know? |

NgeneUkwenu: Head, Tail, Hand or Foot, There is no combination that can defeat President Buhari in 2019, I mean NONE! .
If they field Atiku: He may not win any State in the North, aside few states in the North Central (Benue, Taraba and Plateau)
In the South West, he will be so demarketed before the election that he will struggle to garner 300,000 ,votes across the 6 states.
. In the South South and South East, he will run neck to neck with Buhari in the total vote cast
If they field Saraki: He will only win Kwara and Benue states in the entire North.
He will lose woefully in the South West even worse than ATIKU as he is widely known as a betrayal.
In the South South and South East, He will run neck to neck with Buhari...
If they field Kwankwaso: He will do well in the North, but will not garner up to 35% against Buhari in the core North and there will be voter's apathy in the North Central, as they see both Kwankwaso/Buhari as the same thing..
He will fail woefully in the South West, worse than Atiku or Saraki.
In the South South / South East, he will get less votes than Atiku, Saraki or Buhari.
If they field Tambuwal. Buhari may as well go to sleep on the election day and wake up to be sworn in for the 2nd term without breaking a sweat.
This man will not win any State outrighly outside 2 or 3 states in the South East/South South..
The rest like Lamido, Makarfi and Shekarau are not worth discussing..
Miss Ngene. But you didn't say where Buhari would win....? |
Politics › Re: Lawyers Speak On Legality Of Saraki’s Defection by escodotman: 8:08am On Aug 01, 2018 |
faaz24: Defections..
COPYING DOES NOT ALWAYS PAY
To solve the problem of giraffing, collaboration and especially copying of other students in exams during my university days in OAU, a professor, Fabayo (fondly called FABRO), came up with an innovative method of mixing students of different faculties and levels together in an exams hall!
The effect is such that 400 Level Engineering student would sit next to 200 Level Social Science, 300 Level Science sat next to 100 Level Arts etc. With that, invigilators had nothing to worry about and the students knew that there was no point copying the scripts of each other, for such will be exercise in futility.
Such is the political situation in Nigeria presently involving APC, PDP and 2018 defections from APC to PDP, where the latter has simply girrafed, copied and pasted APC's 2014 script without realizing that they are from different faculties and levels!
Owing to mental laziness and absence of superior strategist in their fold, they truly didn't do any SWOT (Strength/Weakness/Opportunities/Threats) analysis at all. They just copied and pasted what APC did in 2014, thinking it will work.
They mistook APC for PDP, forgot that PMB is not GEJ, that their support bases, loyalty and what need to do to get votes of their supporters are not similar.
They also misread the mood and situation of the nation.
In the case of GEJ, he met a bad situation and made it worse with corruption, ineptitude, lack of will to act right - which earned him the name; Mr. Clueless. He never stood with the masses and was solely responsible for the deterioration he brought upon tbe country. And for these, majority of the people were disappointed and angry with him. And they wanted him out.
But in PMB's case, he met the worst situation, repairs and makes it better. He fights corruption and builds integrity into the system. He has the ideas and will to act right, stands with the masses at all times. Builds decayed infrastructures PDP abandoned, and is not responsible for the problems the country faces in any way or form. And for these majority of the people are not angry with him, but want him to continue. Only a minority who are corruptionists, whose wings have been clipped and their conduit drain pipes on the national treasury blocked, are mad at him.
Another big difference: APC during 2014 defection was like an empty brand new house, such that those coming had the luxury of taking up unoccupied rooms, which they moved into with their furniture (party structures) and did the interior decor to their tastes. And so, every defection was entirely value adding.
But defecting now from APC to PDP is entirely opposite! PDP is like an old rickety family house where each parents and their children are already unhappy, living uncomfortably in a room per family, and now upon that, defectors want to come in as new occupants of the same rooms, which means that they either will eject the present occupiers, or join in further crowding the already overcrowded and inconvenient rooms. Either way, they will meet stiff resistance, and create crisis within the party, which did not happen to APC in 2014.
So, when l see PDP say the present defections from APC to PDP in 2018 is same as PDP to APC in 2014, l immediately know that they have missed the way by 100 miles!
It reminds me that using giraffe method to copy and paste from the next student to you in an exam does not work all the time, as proven by Professor Fabro in OAU, Ile-Ife. The same analysis PDP was making when the wave of defection hit them in 2014/2015. Buhari rode on the notion of ''integrity'' and ''the messiah'' but you don't really know how good a product is until you've tested it. Buhari has been test & he failed woefully! When a product failed to meet to your expection, you simply try another. |
