guiddoti:Try to pre-evaluate your MSc credential using the online evaluator on WES, Canada's website. If your MSc is considered an equivalence of a Canadian Master's then proceed to evaluate only that (your MSc). But if otherwise, you will need to evaluate both degrees. Whether or not WES sends verification mails to your school is at their discretion and not a function of whether your institution sends your credentials to them or not. You just go ahead and begin the process. Cheers! |
When one considers the number of Nigerians abroad, 100,000 represents a small portion; probably 5% of Nigerians living outside. So, they are probably not doing badly when compared to those living within the country. |
zandora:Let me just hear anybody say Baba God no dey again and I will know what to do... ![]() A hearty congratulations to you Zandora; it's a new beginning! |
A plot of land containing a bungalow (occupied by a school at the moment) and 9 bedroom apartment is up for sale Location: Bariga, along Ojota Road, Lagos. Title: Survey and Receipt of purchase since 1995. Asking price 30m Call: 07082064497 now! |
JesusDWay:It's a mutual fund. Liquidity is possible in 3 workdays. |
@Zeux, your job roles in your employment and the qualification required will determine your NOC. Let's say you work with a regulatory agency for instance... Type 'Regulatory'. Review the outcomes and see the one closest to what you do. If you find one that is related to what you do but isn't as clearly stated in your JD (Common in Nigerian Public Service), just tailor your Reference letter towards the role you have found, print on your Organization's letter head and have it signed by your HOD/HOU. Cheers! |
zeux:The FSW can be applied for through the EE scheme at anytime. Meanwhile, @JesusDWay et.,al: I intend to use my Money Market Fund as POF. I know it is one of the means stated by CIC, but do you think it would be acceptable for the SINP? |
Congratulations! |
Nony1:Just go ahead and write the IELTS Academic. It's N52,000.00. Your result comes out in 13days from the day of the exam and your Test Report Form comes not more than a week later. Cheers! |
Please those asking for DSS addresses in each state; I thought DSS has a website or isn't their respective addresses there? |
Romeozigs:Apply again! I know somebody who was dropped at the final stage at first attempt but, went ahead to get the job the following year. Interest, Determination and the God factor is key! Cheers! |
bubsykay:Sir, yes sir! |
bubsykay:Open MS Word, paste each scan on specific pages... For instance, copy and paste your scanned passport in to the Word opened and edit appropriately. Click enter on your keyboard to enter the next page, there you paste your next document; continue to paste each document on different pages, edit appropriately Click on 'save as'; a dialogue box pops just at the right; scroll down to PDF and click. Name file accordingly, for instance 'supporting documents' and click publish. Your PDF is automatically created and saved in your default store except you selected other destination. I don't know if all document has to be in PDF, but I am certain PDF files aren't easily altered. Except it is converted to word, edited and reconverted to PDF; something I don't think CIC would do. @Shodexy, the OINP site is opening. @JesusDWay, it's good to have you back; welcome! @Justwise, thank you. Cheers! |
Garykasparov:I think yes to one and a certain yes to two. |
Garykasparov: |
Garykasparov:1) OINP is expected to get completed within 90 days, once an application is certified complete. Ontario will respond to questions from applicants after this period. 2) By 'fly', do you mean higher CRS? Kindly recast. |
zandora:Smile... He told me he's been banned since December, 2015. I know he placed an advert on the Travel section that was expunged afterwards but honestly, I don't know why he was banned. |
majaolu:Cousins aren't close relatives as far as this scheme is concerned; uncles/Aunts are considered close. You are more likely to get OINP PT soon after you enter the pool, so, I will suggest you don't mention your uncle in Alberta, it would be counterproductive. If you intend to mention your cousins in your statement of intent for OINP, you should indicate that you have a cousin in Ontario; but you will be ready to provide proofs. Whenever you intend to apply for the AINP however, just go in and edit your profile. Expunge the cousin and input your uncle. In all, use what you have to your advantage at all times. You may even choose to input your Uncle at the start since AINP is around the corner and expunge when you need to apply for OINP. @40manlappy: your questions have been answered the best way I could have. Cheers! |
majaolu:It's still ongoing. I hope you know that you are invited to apply and not otherwise? With a minimum of 400, you are invited;if you are not invited after a while, withdraw your application and file in a new one. Meanwhile, MOD, Supermod or Whoever is responsible for managing this section, kindly consider unbanning JesusDWay. His advert has already been removed and he's been banned for a while now. I don't mean to interfere with your procedures, but I think it's okay if he's unbanned now. |
irondome:It all depends on his determination. If he's not very determined to immigrate, a little delay in acing the exam might just discourage him from going further in the EE process. He may even choose another route of entry etc. But, if he's very determined, any slight delay wouldn't matter and he can go ahead and register for IELTS and evaluate his credentials simultaneously. |
ikelords:Start with IELTS. After the exam, you may proceed to evaluate your credentials with WES depending on your level of certainty to ace the exam and your determination to immigrate to Canada. I hope you have a full grip of the above. cheers! |
abusaibu:For Manitoba to have advised you to apply, you must have presented yourself as connected to the province. Just go ahead and request for the Residency permit or citizenship card scans from your close relative who has been living in Manitoba for a while. But, bro if you can't furnish them with the details above, you may have given some 'untrue' information about yourself to Manitoba. |
Guys call Unilag Records office on 012802421. My evaluation, from paying WES to getting my Report, took about 45 days. I even sent my documents through Nipost. Cheers! |
Good job @Superchi. I am not sure of the Transcript for SINP though. Then, for Single/Unmarried applicants, you will need to get Singles Certificate from any local government secretariat close to you with a sworn affidavit. Cheers! |
Guys, it's time to go and update your profiles with the current funds requirement before your profiles become ineligible. An individual applicant now requires $12,134. Courtesy: JesusDWay. |
First, people constitute Churches and Mosques. Usually, these people pay taxes. Now do religious leaders pay taxes? If they don't, then I think they should. Concerning revenues generated in religious organizations, once the portions that should go to the preachers, the poor and indigent is deducted and as long as these people pay their taxes, either directly or indirectly, I don't see why the balance should be taxed; especially because, these funds are used for: projects which create employment for the people executing them, CSR and so on. So, should religious leaders pay taxes? I believe, yes! Every citizen should. Should religious organizations pay import duties and all? Yes, because, they pay utility bills too! Should they be given any waiver in a secular government like Nigeria? Yes, but to the extent to which other businesses that engage in CSR are given. Having said the above, Op, please go back to church. |
@Zandora, it's usually like that. Even when I moved from my village to Lagos, e get as e be; how much more an international move. You only got there last month or so and you have attended at least 3 job interviews already.. Haba, you will soon have to choose between jobs. Meanwhile, thank you for sharing your experience with us. I actually restrained myself from asking you about this information last week. I am fiercely proud of you! |
jugzy:It's not a requirement yet! You just need to be as convincing as possible in your Statement of Intent (you may need to show how well you know Ontario's economy and how high the demand for your skill is and so on) and attach a well researched residency plan. |
For those interested in QSC. Gather your documents together. You will have 90days to submit all documents once you open an application on the 18th of January, 2016. Quebec is relatively easier in my opinion... I don't think it takes a life time to learn French. The financial requirement is quite reasonable. You only need to direct WAEC/NECO and your other institution(s) to send certified copies of your certificates and transcripts to Quebec. It however takes longer.. Processing time used to be between 21-23 months, but I expect that to reduce significantly this time because: it's now online and the interview aspect has been expunged. So, if you are interested, complete the online assessment to see if you qualify and gather your documents, scan the ones you already have and save in a unique folder. Also, begin the process of getting your certified documents sent to Quebec. The link is given below: www.immigration-quebec.gouv.qc.ca/en/informations/mon-projet-quebec/index.html *** People who want to register for IELTS, I will advise that you all choose 'offline' payment option. Raise a bank draft of N52,000.00 in the name of BRITISH COUNCIL and send to their office in Lagos or Abuja. Even if you spend N5,000.00 sending it, it will still be more economical for you. |
bclingerie:1) WES generates a reference number for you once you make payments. This number must be written on all mails you will send or will be sent on your behalf to WES. 2) British Council doesn't need to send your IELTS result to CIC. I think CIC has a way of verifying your test scores using your unique TRF number. 3) WES will neither send you your transcript nor send your credential evaluation report to CIC. They will only send the report to the address you state on your application form (Your mailing address). CIC can verify your claims by themselves. NB Your Institution sends your Transcript to WES at your request. ENSURE THAT YOU FURNISH YOUR INSTITUTION WITH YOUR REF. NUMBER AND DIRECT THEM TO INCLUDE IT ON THE MAILS THEY WILL BE SENDING TO WES ON YOUR BEHALF You just fill in your test scores and WES number in the appropriate spaces when creating your EE profile. cheers! |
walexlo78:Man, you go school o ![]() Your highest qualification is Master's. Either MBA or MSc would still have given you the same points (135). I don't think evaluating any other one would give you more points. Having said the above, enquiring on your Writing module is a good move; even better is your readiness to write another (Not clear if you are the one rewriting or your spouse is writing). Whichever way, it's a step in the right direction. However, I hope you know that while you wait for the outcome of your EOR, you cannot use your IELTS result? So, I guess, you cannot apply for SINP that opens periodically or any PNP or even Quebec Selection Certificate that opens on the 18th of this month. |
