That doesn't translate to being a good wife. African men loves when their women slave away for them all in the name of submission. Mtheeew!

Kneeling doesn't also imply she won't be a good wife. It does not also imply she is slaving away.

If your husband washed the dishes and cleaned the house, would you consider that as "slaving away"? No! I assure you he did it because he loves you and doesn't want you to age quickly - he sees his wife as the priceless gift from God whom he must treasure all his life. The woman who chooses to kneel for her husband may be doing that because she acknowledges him as her covering and glory.

Whatever works for you, you do. That's one thing about marriage. Just be sure to talk about things like these before marriage.

Instead of building world class stadiums and industries

Developed countries like Singapore don't have plans to building world class "churches" but "infrastructures"

While countries like Qatar are building world class stadiums, Nigeria is building world class church

No wonder Nigeria is going backward

The church is not built by the government. The government has all the resources to build these things and much more; and profit from it as well.

Would it make any sense to condemn a proprietress of a school for building a bigger school to accommodate more students as her school grows? Is it logical to ask the proprietress to build roads to limit accidents and fix power in neighboring villages to give light to the people?

No matter how noble certain causes are, logic is also very important!

But then, be true to yourself, If he had built stadium and industries and requested for money from people who access the stadium, or recruit only his church members and other christians in his industries, wouldn't you condemn him? I am morethan 60% certain that you would! It appears logical to condemn these people, but there actually another reason hidden very deep inside of us, that we will never agree to, which makes us go against them, no matter what they do.

You didn't mention school as a viable option here because you know he already invested heavily in that. You also didn't mention Agriculture because you are probably aware of his outstanding feat in those areas, what about Real Estate? Hospitals? Did you know that more than 85% of Bishop Oyedepo and Winners' chapel projects are handled by locals?

What do you really want from this man?

You know the answer?... "They hate me without a cause".. David Oyedepo is of Christ. His actions reveal to us our shortcomings and limitations which we are not ready to live above. We have succumbed to those frailties and many have yielded to that "white painted, angel-like demon - the devil" without even knowing it.

I've been teaching in a private school for two years, but the money is just too small and never enough this made me think of a business to start...

I got a loan of #500k to start a block industry on a small scale, even though I'm still in fact finding and research stage about the business but I hope to start very soon.

I'm currently not in my town as where I teach is in another state but I planned to set up d block industry in my town.

I planned to resign next week after vacation, I want to tell d owner I won't be resuming with them next term...

Guys do u think this is a good idea.

Thanks

Hello Francisayo,

I think it's better you start a school in your current location instead, because of the following:

1. You are a teacher with at least 2 years (24 months).

2. You must have seen opportunities yet to be properly harnessed by the school where you teach at the moment.

3. By now, if you are an effective teacher , some parents already hire you for private lessons for their children. Why leave that opportunity for your village. It's better to stay where you gained ecperience and effectively compete.

I counsel you to put that money in money market, treasury bills or the FGN Savings Bond. These instruments are almost risk free. Then spend more time in that school, but this time, volunteer to contribute to the running of the school, reach out for more knowledge about how to run a school, study your proprietor or proprietress, seek out 1 or 2 people who have similar vision with you. Draw your plans and set out in 6months to 1 year.

Wow! God is so great. I told the Lord in prayer sometimes last week about a birthday gift of zero death due to COVID 19 in Nigeria on the 21st of March.

Though I already forgot about it, seeing this summary today, I just remembered that God actually granted that request. Glory be to God!

In view of the above, I want to urge anyone waiting on the Lord God sincerely not to dismay, He will come through for you. It may appear delayed, but that's because you are looking at your own time. God has your best interest at heart and days in His mighty hands, you will not end it like this. Your joy will come!

You also need to understand that the course of study was Medicine. Would you like a surgeon operating on a loved one to suddenly elope in the middle of a surgery, only to resurface, say after, a week? If the loved one doesn't make it, who would you blame it on?

U.I would actually have produced a disaster waiting to happen had it been they smuggled the guy through Med school that way.

@Kobojunkie, I am aware of the difference between hell, lake of fire, paradise and heaven. And, yes I know the Christ of God whom I believe.

It won't be great to begin to debate issues that for me are minor here in the public space. If you already put your faith in Christ and believe he died and rose again, I will say keep up with what you have believed and grow in his grace.

However, if it is only the 4 gospels: Matthew, Mark, Luke and John are the teachings of Christ to you, then, I am sorry, because Jesus Christ is at the centre of it all. I have a lot to say about all that you said, but like I said, there is no gain here.

Kobojunkie:
Heaven gained? How?

According to Jesus Christ, no one will be admitted into Heaven, or Hell, until He returns again. So, those of you who like to worship MOGs take heed.... these men are still in their graves waiting for Jesus Christ to return and pronounce final judgement on their souls based on the work He knows they truly did for Him. undecided

Even the very apostles of Jesus Christ, who died almost 2000 years ago, are still in there graves, sleeping, and waiting for the end to come so they can know whether the work they did passes the test. So be careful in your veneration of the dead. undecided

Escatology isn't that simple.

When Hebrews 12 tells us about the gathering of Just men made perfect, who was it referring to?

When Jesus said to the thief at his right hand "today, you will be with me in paradise" where was Jesus referring to? Some tell about paradise, heaven, hell and lake of fire as different.

Have you also considered that Revelation tells us the Lamb of God (a description of the Jesus who was crucified in Revelation) was crucified before the foundation of the world.. how do you see it?

The truth is, we should major on the major:

If you are yet to receive Christ as Lord and Saviour, you are a sinner headed for the Lake of Fire. Repent by accepting the substitutional death of Jesus Christ the Son of God and inherit the righteousness of God in Christ. This way in the present world you have the kingdom of God within you (peace, righteousness and joy) and when you depart mortality, you are sure of a glorious after life.

We may not fully understand it yet, like many great venture, we know in part. But a day is coming that we will know as much as we are known.

I just hope and pray that all hope is not lost for Nigeria!

A man came out to express how he will deal with one of the greatest problems bedeviling our nation today and young, agile men and women who are the future of Nigeria cannot come out to engage the issue discussed but to speak against the messenger? His gay son, he was so and so person's aide etc. We need to grow up please!

Will his proposed plan work in your opinion? Yes, it will because........ OR No, it won't for the following reasons: ...... etc. Then, hasn't the current administration considered this? If we are certain that the proposal could work, how do we ensure he does as he'd promised? Any need to submit the letter of resignation to the UN to avoid the possiblity of him buying the legislators in the likely situation that he failed to actualise the objects of his proposal etc?

Please let's grow out of sentiments, tribalism, gender or religion when it comes to choosing our leaders at all levels in Nigeria.

Whoever governs well is your brother or sister who cares about you! He is the true servant of God!

Crime / Re: 2 Women Arrested For Pouring Hot Water On 10-year-old Maid In Anambra (Graphic) by Etfash(m): 7:17am On Jan 16, 2021
Romanoff:
It's important to give birth to kids you can take care of to avoid situations where your kids end up as maids.

Unfortunately life isn't always that simple! A man who amassed significant wealth, got married, moved his wife to the U.S and had his children. Only for him to become sick, the wife spent virtually all his fortune on him after which he died. The wife and family are back in Nigeria, struggling and one of the children sent to someone else to live. The man was well prepared, yet to someone who doesn't know his story, he wasn't because the family is suffering. Another brother got married, rather too early with a low paying contract job, he struggled for 7 years (2007 to 2014). Today he and his family are having the best of times outside Nigeria.

A slave too has a home it may only be afar off.

Life can be very dicey. One reason I ignore a few folks who come around and claim atheists here.. When life deals with you, you will understand that there is more to it than logic.

Long story short, if we don't have the full story of a happening, it's better to let it be.
Family / Re: My Ex Said Her Son Is Mine - Please Advise by Etfash(m): 9:33pm On Jan 14, 2021
Op, this is a huge one. Legally the child may not be yours, but that's just some pieces of writings explained by supposedly learned folks. Blood is way more complex, I can already see the affection you have developed for the child by just seeing his picture alone. If they ask you to do a DNA test, well, if you feel it's necessary, go ahead. I don't need a DNA test to know my child!

Having said the above, you need to be empathetic, another man has been caring for this child as if he were his own. Is he even aware the boy is not his? Ask the lady. Depending on your finding, you may want to set up a virtual meeting with this man, virtual because you don't know his temperament and wisdom, the meeting is not for you to claim a child as he is actually not legally yours, but to discuss.

Meanwhile, from your discussion with the man, you may offer the man some help to support his son, your biological son, pending when things begin to look up for him. He is your brother who has been deceived by a woman, don't compound his woes by siding with the woman or claiming the child. However, if the man isn't understanding, set up a trust fund in the boy's name so that he can have access to it from a predetermined age. In the meantime, let him endure the pain, he won't die! But please, whatever you do, don't begin to send money to the lady in question, apart from the fact that it is not right, it will not end well, because it will lead to very terrible mistakes.

Finally, should you inform your wife? You know her better than anyone here, if you feel she can take it, then go ahead. If you feel there is a great chance she will misunderstand issues, just keep it away from her. Give her your undivided attention, endeavour to meet her needs and needs at the home front, make sure you don't cheat on her with the "not so great" great woman in question and have your peace.

For those who will come out and say, the wife has to know, well, somethings are better left unsaid because of peace. What if she hears from outside? Pray this doesn't happen, because you may be done for.

Summary
Be wise, empathetic and firm.

As for fundamentals, institutional funds are getting into the Crypto space. PayPal, Gray scale etc are heavy investors in BTC as we speak.

Regarding financial statements and all, what makes Gold go up and down? It's not some financial statement but happenings around the world, uncertainties and changing interest in the Fiat system. Personally, I believe BTC is going to beat Gold eventually.

Op, I will advise you only counsel people to go for knowledge about whatever they intend to put their monies.

Thunder fire you pastor adeboye for all the tithes you've been eating while promising your poor congregation heaven.

If I had 10 girlfriends and threw them party every weekend, would you shout "Thunder fire the girls"? I am at least 95% certain that you wouldn't say that. You would most likely say " it is his money" or "it is his life". You could even say "I must make money in this life" like many say on this platform.

Now, whoever gives his tithe does so because he believes in it, and since it's the fellow's money anyways, why get so crossed with the workman who receives the tithe on behalf of the other workmen?

Check it well, there is an inherent hatred for God, and anything that has to do with him deep down in you, and you need to crush it before the hatred takes you to untold levels.
No man can kick against the pricks; you don't hate God and claim you are being logical - a lie many tell themselves.

Anything to downplay the move of God, and prevent people from gathering together according to the holy scriptures is always celebrated by these people.

An investigative journalist didn't investigate the people who got healed of COVID, including a doctor who testified live; the three women whose dead fetuses came back to life were also not investigated, other wonderful works, including the ones I personally enjoyed were not investigated. Of course, that will be making God important and may get many to turn to God. Those who attended political rallies and societal weddings were not investigated.

May I just say this, before the spread of this noisome pestilence, when people go to large gatherings like the just concluded Shiloh programme, don't such people develop some cold, and malaria usually because of the stress of waking early, sleeping up late and shoutings? How come today, we now quickly ascribe this to COVID?

I will conclude by saying this "... He that sit in the heavens will laugh..". This God and His glorious agenda on the earth cannot be stopped, not by rumour mongering or any demoniac. Those who made effort to stop Him in the past are gone today and we are still here serving him, when we are long gone, many generations will still serve Him. He will remain relevant until the end of time.

No organisation survives with its affairs being handled with kid gloves. The White man whose land many of us like to go, a people we claim allows freedom, they actually make other nations of the world pay for it. They keep nations at war with one another, topple governments, cause instability and unrest around the world in order to keep the peace in their nation and aquire endless resources with that.

We must learn to face the truth, no matter how bitter and unappealing it is. If these guys signed to the agreement before getting into school, why complain about the consequences of breaching the codes.

Lastly, I see many of us believe these people, not because they showed any proof, but just because of their words. Yet, if this number of people came out to say they received or witnessed a major move of God that brought about people's healings in a gathering, morethan 80% of us will come out to cast doubts and aspersions on the people and the vessel God chose to use. We must be careful.

Here is the catch: whenever you find yourself hating on God or people, or condemning a visible manifestation of the power of God through a vessel you are not sure has other sources apart from God, be informed that you are being a devil at that point.

I believe many have gained from each contributor on this thread at one point or another, a time has come for us to let things slide. If there is nothing interesting about T-Bills for now, then let us let the thread rest.

Overall, I feel this whole mess could have been easily avoided if Mr. President had addressed the agitators earlier. If they didn't back down after the notice of disbandment of the operatives, it was probably because the same group had been disbanded 3x, yet they kept coming back - trust was eroded.

It's fascinating to see that all tribes in Nigeria are speaking with one voice because, NOI is first a Nigerian, and secondly a good product! This was how we supported Adesina.

If this woman clinches this position, she will go ahead and give WTO the much needed transformation it requires at this time.

Let's get back home, guys what we need is a transformed Nigeria, irrespective of who rules it! A Nigeria that works for all is what we all want. The leader may come from any part of the country, it should mean nothing if he or she is a good product.

I don't agree with, you.

At a time when the fakes and those who have called themselves to ministry are more than those under anointing for ministry, I doubt if Christ would visit anyone with a curse for insulting a supposed man of God who crosses boundaries.

How do we ascertain that Ibiyome is under the call of God? Because he has a large congregation? The Bible tells us that by their fruits you shall know them. What that man did on his pulpit was satanic.

You can't blame anyone for insulting him, and God won't. At most, the man who insults would bear the consequence for insulting people and not a special reprimand for insulting a supposed Man of God.

I will respond to you because I feel you are a Bible believer.

Spiritual matters don't work like that.

Moses married a foreigner, Aaron and Mariam the siblings of Moses heard from God too and they were also serving God, both Aaron and Mariam were also senior to Moses. So, based on physical assessment, it was okay for them to criticise and speak against moses. But No, God wouldn't take that! He asked them "... Were you not afraid to speak to my servant Moses so?.."

King David was another man who understood divine order too.. He was anointed just as Saul was anointed, yet he recognised that God would still have him punished if he harmed Saul.

So, you don't begin to condemn these people, whether you believe they are called by God or not. However, you can counsel people not to do or say certain things. For instance, don't call your neighbour "bastard, fool etc.".

Cheers.
