Please, if WES receives a verification mail from one's institution, what does the status of the applicant change to?

Documents received, review in progress, then Evaluation in progress?

I am curious because the above was also the sequence of events before a verification mail was sent to my institution.

Print out the payment acceptance page, scan it alongside a scanned copy of your ID and send to exams.nigeria@ng.britishcouncil.org.

I am not certain what the email subject should be. However, I think a catchy one would do.. 'IELTS TEST PAYMENT DETAILS', 'Details of IELTS exam Payment' or something like that.

Please note that, I did not pay online. But I read through this procedure before I opted for offline payment.

To be nominated by Ontario province you have to score a minimum of 400 and will automatically receive a notification of interest. So far they've stopped giving out nominations, perhaps they've reached their quota. However some people who applied for the Ontario PNP also received ITA and hence withdrew their Ontario application which means Ontario may still invite a few people in the nearer future to fill up their quota but chances of receiving an invitation now are very very slim.

Thank you. Does it mean people who had at least 400points and selected 'all province' or 'Ontario' as their preferred destination were automatically sent an ITA by OINP?

Please roomies, I need some answers. When would the EE program end? I ask because I intend applying by mid next year so as to have enough time to build up my statement of account. How feasible is this given the fact that some regions may have allocated all slots before then.

Well, i don't think it will end any moment soon. But, it might just get tougher as time goes on because, spaces available will reduce and more people will become aware.

So, except you expect to get an academic qualification, years of experience or wait for a 5 year ban to expire, i will advise that you go ahead and start. I believe the money will add up one way or another. Just look around you and you will begin to see items of monetary value all over the place wink

If you have paid for the test and your payment's confirmed already, then, you have automatic access to the ROAD -TO-IELTS tutorial. I will advise that you start with that.

However, if you are yet to pay for the test, go ahead and use the boundless tutorials on Youtube.

You know, the one that baffles me most is how Indians with poor English seem to do better than us. You look at the way some of them write and yet, when they highlight their IELTS result, you wonder how they made such grade.

You see, i don't even want to mention that. I watched so many videos while preparing and i saw so many write-ups that were graded 8. With all modesty, an average Nigerian wouldn't do any less.

How many Nigerians who wrote the IELTS at home had maximum points? Sometimes i am tempted to think these guys have a quota system. 'Give maximum points to 6 extremely outstanding people in that country all year round; no more no less' Now that may not be the case, but the reality may not be far from it.

I am a little curious:

1) Why does IELTS coordinators seek to know where one intends to migrate to?

2) Why is it that people score a band of 7 and above in three of the modules and then score slightly less than 7 in one of the modules? Is this done to test takers deliberately?

3) Is IELTS also working with CIC to check the influx of people to Canada?

These are just a few thoughts i have... Check out the scores in this page alone, for 40manlappy, his wife and even the poster before him in this page; mine wasn't any different: 8.5, 8, 8 and 6.5. I lost over 50 points on account of this.

I would have enquired but, having read the experience of many, it may just be better to write another one.

Don't expunge your first degree because since you did your Master's in Unilag there's no guarantee that it would be assessed as a Canadian Master's. Evaluate both Bachelor's and Master's.

This is a little disturbing. My MSc in Unilag ran for about 2 years and the pre-evaluation i did on their website equated it to an MSc in Canada.

Has any one who obtained a Unilag MSc been evaluated as having a qualification less than a Canadian MSc?

Now, my first degree was in U.I. and getting there is an issue right now.. I left there more than 7 years ago, my links may not be as strong.

Is there anyone who already evaluated a Unilag PG degree alone and had it equated to a Canadian MSc in the house?

You can edit it and add your Master's degree as long as they haven't finished evaluating your first degree.

Thank you for the response. However, i'm finding it difficult to modify the list of documents that i should submit.

I actually intend to expunge my First degree since Unilag already sent my Masters document.

Is it possible to edit the number of qualifications that one intends to evaluate after one has made payments? For instance, if i already paid for my First degree alone to be evaluated, can i add my Masters degree for evaluation?
