Thank you JesusDWay et.,al. My EE profile is now open and i have received the OINP PT. |
JesusDWay:Thank you so much; God bless you. |
Good morning all. I withdrew my EE account and created a new one; this is because my account may have been skipped by Ontario seeing i have more than 400 points. However, even though i edited my Job bank account to accommodate the new EE reference number and Job bank ID, my new EE account still shows that the status of my new account is pending instead of 'Open' My questions are: 1) Do I need to delete my initial job bank account? If yes, where do i do that seeing i can only deactivate it. But even if i deactivate, Job Bank database will still recognise my email address when i try to open a new account. 2) Do i go ahead and deactivate my Job Bank account; open another account using a different email address and update my EE profile afterwards? 3) Can i use my pension contribution as part of my Proof of Funds (POF)? Kindly help address these questions. Thank you. |
Good evening people. please, can someone confirm if pension contributions can be used as part of POF? cc: Irondome JesusDway. |
Op be calm; they will get back to you. |

ciwi:Thank you for your reply. But what happens to 'may be'? You were too assertive in your comment above; don't you think? I don't want more? That isn't it... Trust me. Then i can assure you, i am not lazy. I do alot of things and may be i have just put some other things ahead of getting a new job and giving scholarships instead of receiving them. I said lazy because, somehow, i still feel that Etfash should be able to combine everything and come out fine. |
Xfire, I don't do badly in any of the points that you have listed - I quite agree with each one - I have also been privileged to change jobs a number of times. However, i feel too lazy to apply for jobs these days even though i am sure there is something better out there. I desire to secure International employments but, i am usually too lazy to apply for them. Recently, i got a phD studentship opportunity abroad but, the laziness to research and write a compelling proposal robbed me of that opportunity. I work hard, even now; I still read too. What do you think can be responsible for this incessant failure to galvanize energy that i need to propel me to my next phase? And what do you advise? Have you been in a situation like this before? Do you think my resolve either to: leave my present employment or move to the next level isn't strong enough? |
waziri4biz:First, neither your phone number nor email address is here. Second, you cannot just say you have no funds at all... If you don't commit your fund to a venture, it might be difficult for someone else to do so because, one might be tempted to feel you don't believe in the venture. Going forward, provide a phone number or email address. Then be ready to bear at least 35% of the financial burden. Regards. |
learned0007:Your CRS determines if you get an ITA. But, since your CRS is based on your claim, you will need to prove that you actually have what you claimed to have by submitting relevant application documents after an ITA. You will need documents to back up every claim you made while filling the EE forms online including your claim to be single if you said you are. |
Kereokwu:Like someone said posted earlier, the rates are falling, but it should pick up soon. So, let's assume your 91 days investment of 100,000 is at a rate of 8.5%. Then your ROI will be your Interest/4. Hence, .085*100,000/4 = 8,500/4 = 2,125.00. Please i will need you to scan through the thread i posted earlier. You don't lose your investment, you lose certain portion of your discounted profit. This is what i mean, if you invested 100,000 as above. You receive the 2,125 once your account is debited. In essence, 97,875 is deducted from your account. At the end of the period (91 days), you should receive 100,000. But should you terminate your agreement before the due date, then you could get just your 97,875 back. That doesn't look like losing 10% of your investment to me; does it? |
dake40:You are welcome. Kindly check the last rates on the link i posted earlier. The rates fluctuate. You can only do 3years if you choose to roll over. So, let's assume you get a rate of 12% for a 364 day tenure (the 364 day tenure isn't always available). That way for the first year your 200k will yield (plus minor charges) 200,000 * .12 = 24,000. The following year, your Principal becomes 224000, so your interest becomes 224,000 * .12 = 26,880.00 (Note that i have assumed that the interest rate will remain at 12%) adding the new interest to your previous principal, you have a new principal which is 250,880. The third year interest, assuming the same rate, would be 250,880 * .12 = 30,105.60. Your final amount would be 280,985.72. Note: I have not made any deductions and have also assumed that interest rate will remain at 12% for the entire period. |
ken4jj:Check the link below; study carefully, there is so much to learn there. https://www.nairaland.com/878880/treasury-bills-nigeria/142 |
dake40:The risk level of Tbills is less than 1%. Of course i know that is also a chance but in reality, except their is War in Nigeria.. And even after the war, the country will still get your money to you. How do you start? I will suggest you go to any First Bank branch. Open an account with them if you don't already have, deposit the amount you would like to invest, apart from your minimum balance; request for the Tbills form, complete and submit. Then wait. Note: 1) Any account type can be used for Tbills 2) I have suggested First bank because, they accept as low as N100,000.00 and they also bid for their clients. |
dake40:I will advise you opt for the Treasury bills or any paper investment NOT real estate. Land is good like many have said, but trust me, it's not easy to keep land, of that value (N300,000.00), in an appreciable area for more than a year (if your course of study is 4, 5 or more years) without doing anything on it; you wouldn't want to start fighting over land at your tender age. Also, land is not easy to sell as many think; i am into Real estate and i sure know what i am saying. If you go into Tbills or Money markets and choose income reinvestment option, you should be able to beat inflation. Your money can also be immediately available to you upon graduation for business. |
You may also want to consider FBN Capitals Assets management. I operate it. They distribute accruals quarterly and trust me, the rate has never been less than 11% in each quarter. They also have an online platform where you can monitor the growth of your investment 24/7. They were rated best last year, but Stanbic has been rated best this year FBN capitals came second - Although i have not tried Stanbic Assets Management Fund before, i intend to do so soonest. |
tunai:You pay first; your reference number is given to you. That reference number becomes your 'special name' with WES - you must write it on any document you or your institution is sending to WES. |
irondome:Irondome, really? What is fair about a CRS of 484? The maximum points i can get is 481 without provincial nomination or a job offer. Except if i will have to write the French test which, truthfully, would be a serious stress for me. |
Thank you Irondome. Based on your explanation and the search i have conducted, Senior government official and Chemical Technologist NOCs are out. I think NOC 4161 is more in line with my job responsibilities than 5121. Thank you once again. |
Good day all. I worked as a Senior Officer (Standardization and Quality Assurance specialist) with a Federal Government Agency for 3 years. Now within the office, i specialized on Chemical Technology Companies. I didn't necessarily , even though i did where necessary, carry out chemical tests. However, i was involved in Standards Writing and implementation, enforcement activities and inspection and auditing of companies' processes, environment, health and products quality. My question is, what NOC do i classify the above job responsibilities? A senior government official, Chemical Technologist, Standards Writer or a Researcher? Kindly advise. |
Yes we keep the Lord God's commandments. But we don't try to do so, we are not meant to try. Once we die to self.. We automatically become alive to God. Just like we don't struggle to breath, we wouldn't struggle 'try' to obey Him because His Spirit leads us. That way we cease from our labours 'trying to be righteous' and enter into His promised rest. |
We should be careful not to get entangled again after Christ has set us free. A group of people suddenly felt they needed to start keeping the law, including the Sabbath, but were called foolish. This doesn't mean one can continue in sin because of Grace. But the scripture is clear.. '..but as many as a led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God'. We should major on the major '... Verily, verily i say unto you, except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God. Those were the words of the Master in John 3:5. If the Holy Spirit intimates you about the need to keep a certain day of the week special, well that is great, but i would have advised that such be kept personal and obeyed as such. This is to avoid making the simple message of salvation appear complex... In all, the day is fast approaching and all forms of satanic wiles should be identified and exposed. Lastly, if you are reading this, please note that the night is fast spent and the day is about to dawn, He that is to come is about to come; the saints are about to be gathered for the great supper; the man of sin is also warming up to be revealed, as he must be- please run for your life! The ark (Jesus Christ) is still open, why not come in so that it will take you away from destruction to the coast of God's presence? Time is running out my friend, Jesus is knocking at the door of your heart. If you will hear his voice today, yield to him to be free from destruction. Maranatha! |
zandora:That is true. But he can only go for NYSC after he has graduated - that makes it at least 2 years. May be you should go through the guy's post. According to him, he will be in final year of his engineering degree NEXT year. |
zandora:He needs to start and complete his final year first. Then acquire the minimum experience.. I have assumed the one year would be his NYSC experience. |
TheZed:Great ambition there. But you will need at least 2 years to qualify for any of the programmes you listed above. However, you can run a postgraduate study over there in Canada if you have sponsor(s). Studying there gives you an edge eventually So, i will advise you as follows: 1) Face your first degree and graduate with the best grade you possibly can. 2) Even though i know it's good to be open minded, when you desire something, it is always better to pursue it with all you've got. So, while studying, settle it within yourself that you will be studying for your PG degree in Canada. 3) After submitting your project(s), begin to gather information and documents that you might need. For instance, International Passport, the area you would like to specialize, what schools are best, yet cost effective, in that area of study, how much can you afford, who will sponsor you, what other information do you need, where to get them etc. 4) Look out for Canadian study threads on Nairaland; it will be of great help to you. Cheers! |
sheweezy:Any would do. But sometimes, while applying for some PNPs, you may be required to provide information that you can only get from applying for the FSW through the new Express Entry scheme. My advise: both of you (you and your husband) should write the IELTS and ace it, then evaluate your academic credentials with CIC accredited institutions ( i will recommend WES). Then you apply as the Principal applicant, if your Master's degree is equated to a Canadian Master's. If not, let your husband be the principal applicant because of his years of experience and the likelihood that he might be the one to provide the Proof of Fund. You can apply for any PNP after you have successfully entered the EE pool. Some PNP requires that the POF be provided only by the Principal applicant. So, put that into cognizance whatever you do. The required fund for 3 people is around CAD$18,260.00 or so. you can check Shyee's post on page 282 of the previous thread for the links. Regards. |
In my opinion, emotional attachment should be avoided here. MTN has been in Nigeria for more than 10 years; they have also been breaking even ever since. So, if they cannot afford the fine, let them go to court or sell off their facilities in Nigeria. It is business! I don't see any reason for the sentiments. Do you call or browse for free as an MTN subscriber? Are you responsible for their predicament? How many times has MTN waived a loan for you? These guys are capitalists... let them sort themselves out with NCC. Lastly, for those asking where the money will go, well, this year, NCC might just compete favorably with CUSTOMS and FIRS in terms of revenue generation. This will help the FG achieve some of its objectives and also improve the lives of NCC staff. |
deesmom:That is not a problem. Canadian Immigration Charter, section 6 of 1982 or so empowers you to move to anywhere in Canada once you are granted permanent residence. People often move out of the provinces that nominate them on arrival but it's implicating. So, I will advise that you get their nomination, do all you can to settle there, get accommodation and pay for a month. You can move to another province afterwards on the ground of unemployment. |
Phemmie72:2 PDF messages were sent to you when you entered the EE pool. Download them and extract those details. If you haven't entered the pool already, you might need to enter it right away to get those details. |

@JesusDWay, I think she was referring to the Treasury Single Account. May be she attended a Federal Institution. @Captured, why not go ahead and make the payment into the TSA account with CBN. Luckily, all banks can receive this payment. You can proceed to send your proof of payment to your institution. Your institution should be able to send your transcript to WES after confirming (don't know how they do this anyway) your payment. |
