The only reason why what you stated above is not applicable is if the CBN is not watching them closely. These are critical times and all eyes are on banks. I just feel that the CBN doesn't have enough cash to share, not that some cabal is hoarding the money.

Besides, the president is directly involved in this and everyone is playing safe. Even if a politician owns a bank, there's a limit to the amount of cash he can take away. I have worked in a sector where the president has a direct eye on and I know how the most corrupt and highly placed Nigerians fear not to mess things up for themselves.

Is it the same Emefele DSS was trying to arrest or the Buhari that kept mute? CBN did not print enough cash and they don’t know what’s up with the commercial banks rather they come to social media to blame game

Family / Re: How Do I Forgive Him? by ETHIX(m): 12:34am On Oct 25, 2022
Registeredguest:
I'm a lady in my mid- twenties, I got married aged 22, (always wanted to marry early) on the second year of our marriage we were blessed with a baby, parked to our house and things were rosy. I have always been a workaholic due to that I have never lack as a young lady in terms of finance.

I have always helped him in his house projects, might not be much 100k, 50k, 20k when need be. I never siphoned my money to myself, as a young lady I envisioned my pretty little family on my head, (3 children, handsome husband and pretty wife with a fine car living happily)

Now to the main problem,I think it all started when he told me he has seen a genuine plot of land that we should buy it together, I told him no, I want the land all by myself I have money to pay for it, (just want to have something tangible for myself alone) he said no problem. He sent me an account number of the seller I sent 600k to the seller.we did the necessary documents and everyone was happy.

After some weeks, I decided to dig around his phone then I discovered that the account I sent the 600k to, refunded 200k back to my husband, woke him up instantly I demanded for an explanation.he story no make sense. I was heartbroken, for months I was hurt...the two families got involved and settled the issue.money I no see...

Ever since this issue happened, the home has not been peaceful, fighting everyday. I find it so difficult to forgive him. I insult him, he insults me, he broke my phone, I break his door...I was demanded for an apology he says
"I'm his wife, no be today man dey collect him wife money, he say woman go build house for him husband no ear no go hear" those things hurt me more... everyday was fight, I parked out,I went to my sister's place,he didn't call, he didn't reach out.

3 weeks after I parked I discovered I was pregnant, and informed him immediately through text.i stayed at my sister's place for 2 months no word from him... I decide to rent my own place,I rented a place and went to his house to park my remaining stuff,I meet him home,as soon as he sees I came with a truck to park my things he knelt down and started begging me...I was like,na today I commot for your house why now? He say he think say I dey play, he no think say I serious like this, for good two months you didn't say anything why now...with enough dragging I parked my things to my new rented apartment... since the day I park till now this man has not allowed me rest, his family members has been calling me to come back home, his dad came from the village to plead on his behalf.

My dad is insisting I should not go back...I'm now 6 months pregnant ,I need a father in my children's life.im finding it difficult to forgive him,I'm struggling within myself to forgive and trust this man again.

How can I let go of the past and move back with him...I decided to pay him a visit on Friday,he was happy I came,he did everything possible to show me he has changed but that feeling of betrayal and hurt is there.i left there this morning with querrell,I know I started the querrell, but I can't just seem to forgive him.please I need your help and advice on this pressing issue of mine.

No insult please, I have cried enough.

Hello ma,

Sometimes let’s count it with joy that someone offends us and we are on the position to forgive. If you accept the forgiveness fast enough, that is the way Jesus will quickly forgive you your sins but if you delay he will delay his forgiveness.

The devil has a way to make us very sad and he will bring and picture a genuine reason why you should not forgive knowing fully well that he is wants to stop you in other areas you don’t even know.

You can be angry for all your husband did but please know that no marriage is perfect. God really bless when you do things together. Your husband asked you to buy the land together as a family but you refused cos you are financially okay today but tables do turn.

Your husband should be ashamed of himself for not being trustworthy. If you guys cannot agree with just N600,000 and you steal and refuse to forgive. How will God bless you in dollars. Don’t be blind cos of naira. Devil knows that once you guys stay together the sky is your limit but wants to destroy the marriage. Pls don’t be angry cos of Naira. It does not worth it

Good morning dear nairalanders!

I have two daughters: one will be 3 years old later in the year and the other will be 1 next month. I noticed that my first daughter is too timid. She gets easily frightened by her peers. She is quiet. She will allow just anybody to carry her - even those whom she is older and bigger than - without any resistance.

I really don't like these attributes about her. I want her to have the boldness to resist some of these things. I want her to be aggressive. I want her to grow up having confidence in doing things her way.
I also wish to instill that in the second child. Thank you!

[quote author=Sheffdon post=101170699]Now, to be honest, I just clocked 26. I was done with my sec. education way back in 2012. Due to one problem to the other, i couldn't further. I had to involve myself in some menial jobs to sustain myself for the meantime and along the way, i learned phone and computer engineering and i do brush through some very important books occasionally.

This is where I need your wise opinion guys. Dad got into a problem when i was about to finish sec. School and since then, hes been repaying debt till now. Infact, debt has consumed all his salary. He's just borrowing from peter to pay Paul to survive.

And he's still of the opinion that i go to school. I got admission to study pharmacy at OOU in 2018, paid the acceptance fee but couldn't pay school fees and i lost it for good. So he wants me to try again but where will he even see the money when school wahala comes again? He's gonna go the borrowing way again i guess, compounding the problem we have at hand

So I've been thinking....what if i go back to factory work, then get myself a computer and learn programming "frontend development for a start"? I want to dedicate atleast 1 to 2 years to learn it. Then after that, i would proceed to school either on part time or full because i still want to further my education to get the b.sc cert. at the minimum.

Honourable men and women, CONSIDERING THE NIGERIA OF TODAY,i need your wise words at this critical junction of my life.

If I'm done with the programming, can it atleast sustain me a little bit?

Should I faithfully follow my dad's intention or just go through my own

Hello Fam, good morning to you all.

I don't know if others experience this too or I'm alone on this one, most times when I sleep and dream, I wake in the morning without remembering the very important events or details of the dream.

But today, I had a dream where I was gathering snails and I woke up this morning remembering every detail of it plus feeling a little bit frightened and disturbed. I do not know what it means to be picking snails in the dream and why I woke up feeling disturbed hence the reason why I will like anyone with a proper interpretation of what it means to tell me because I think I need help here to decode this dream. (Mods to Fp please) thanks to everyone.

Pls pray very well, dreaming about snail is not good. Snail is very slow in its movements and slow to achieve anything compared to other animals pls watch out

This has lasted for over 15years. It started after I ate in the dream. Have gone for tests and nothing was found out except malaria and typhoid.

Have prayed and fasted but when it seems the movements is subsiding, I found myself eating in the dream again and the movements will increase.

It is really making life unbearable to me cos the only time I don't feel the movement is when i am sleeping.
Please if you know what I can do to free kindly let me know.
please your help is needed.

I had a similar problem in 2004 that was what led me to MFM and became a member. What you are experiencing is called astral projection and is there to ruin you.

While searching for solution, I visited all kind of places you can imagine but there was no solution. I visited many pastors who prayed for me yet no changes. Until a pastor told me that I cannot expect any change while living in sin, that once I am ready to leave sin and worship God sincerely he will heal me.

I bought my bible for the first time and went to MFM, I bought a book called PRAYER RAIN, I started praying and added FASTING that was when the whole movement stopped.

Pls leave a sinless life, buy the book, pray and fast and u will see the hand of God

Romance / Re: Should I Marry Albino? by ETHIX(m): 10:24pm On Aug 19, 2020
maduxs:
Admin please bring this post to light. I have an albino girlfriend, we have been dating for a while now but the fact remains that the stigmatization is too much. People discriminate against her so much.

Every time I'm walking with her people looks at us as if we came from another planets. All my close relations and friends I told about her discouraged me from getting married to her. Everybody is against me, they told me how can I introduce albinism to my lineage.

I understand that she has a very poor visual acuity, she is prone to skin cancer, she will depend on me to get some certain task done especially under sun.

She is a very good girl, what I'm looking at is what is inside her I mean her personality even though she is obese, she gives me peace of mind.

Finally she is also a petrochemical engineer, and very brilliant person though her albinism has been disadvantageous to her from getting a better job. I just proposed to her against all odds even though I'm all alone.

Should I go on to marry her? Please I need advice from people with mature minds.

Nigeria has a fundamental problem, the problem is not just about the government stealing funds. Is about everyone. There is no system and we have some cultures, values and beliefs that will deter progress.

Our way of life of showing off your success is not done abroad. People live a quiet and reserved life. The more you earn the more tax u pay. Some people pay as high as 43% as tax

Politics / Re: Nigeria Will Not Change Until Everyone Starts To Pay Tax by ETHIX(m): 6:22am On Aug 05, 2020
AristocraticMe:
I will try and make this very short..... This is an open discussion though.

The reason Nigerians are complacent about the situation of Nigeria is because 60-70% of Nigerians dont pay tax. Why ? Most Nigerians are business people, the higher percentage are the small scale businesses...... How many of them pay tax.... NONE......

If you pay tax and you know that it is your money (tax) a person is embezzling without regards, no body will tell you to protest and revolt. They wont even try it.

That is one thing the developed nation did that we failed to do. We failed to create a system where by everybody contribute to the growth of the country. By so doing you will naturally hold any leader responsible.... You know how hard you work for your money then the government takes some percentage as tax on automatically and then one person embezzles it........ No body will tell you to stand for your right and no leader will try it.

Nigerian just keep shouting OUR MONEY ( What they mean is Oil Money or Money coming from Natural Resources) not money coming from your pocket........ If it is coming from pocket (Income) then the way Nigerian leaders siphon money wont happen like that. They will be scared to do that because they know people will hold them accountable for it.

Most Nigerians are in one social club or the other were we pay monthly dues..... during the end of the year party, the leader should come out and say they bought a crate of soft drink for N10,000 ...... Can they say that ? No..... they know people will revolt and it will cause problem...... Why ? because everybody has a stake in the club's money (it is our money) so naturally corruption will reduce .....

Secondly, people will naturally want to know how the money is spent and make sure it make sense or else the leader of the social club have some explaining to do........

Corruption cannot be eradicated but it can be reduced..

That is why corruption in Developed Nations is not as it is in Africa. Remember there is corruption everywhere but not as bad as Africa or Nigeria

In Nigeria a Leader came out and said her ministry feed children who are out of school with hundreds of million - How ?
In Lagos a Leader said a corona virus patient care cost is 1 Million per day and so on...

No wonder a British Prime Minister once said Nigeria is Stupendiously corrupt.......

Even if all the citizens pay double tax for 10years, Nigeria will not change. Contract if N10m will be awarded for 700m yet it will not be done.

Billions of naira will be spent from taxpayers money to bribe and rig elections every 4years.

Monies for developmental projects will be laundered abroad. The little projects done will also be substandard.

Only projects that will fetch politicians money will be embacked upon and not projects that will benefit the masses. E.g 27billion naira to renovate National Assembly another 60billion to fence University of Maiduguri.

One of the main purpose of tax payments in developed countries is not only for developmental projects but also to redistribute income. Do you know how much the lower income bracket gets from government every month? The list are endless. There is child tax benefits, Old age pension, AISH, Disability benefits, Social welfare, Unemployment Income also known as EI, GST, HST and many more. A larger percentage of the population gets as high as N300,000 to N500,000 every MONTH (Using Canada as an example.

There are two categories of tax payments here. After your employer deduct your tax at source and remit to the government. You are still expected to file tax on preceeding year basis. Your employer will give you a form called T4 showing all the income and taxes you paid the previous year. With T4 form, you will file your tax every year between February and April 30. Your family net income will determine if you will get tax refund or you pay government extra money as tax despite all the previous deductions from your employer.

BabaRamota1980:
These three are the highest causes of death in Nigeria and we need govt help to stop it.

1. Ritualist.
This problem is all over Nigeria. People of different ethnic and religious backgrounds practice this. Kidnapping and killing of persons for diabolical ends. People caught in this act must be prosecuted and if convicted must be killed in similar ways their victim was killed.

2. Fulani herdsmen.
This is also a nationwide problem but is perpetrated by Fulani and targeted at farmers and christians in particular. These terrorists must be prosecuted and shot to death and then set ablaze in same manner they snuff life out of their victim and destroy their remains.

3. Genetic homicide.
This problem is perpetrated by Igbos and wherever they live this problem lives with them. Culturally Igbo carries machette and this custom is traced back to their ancestry and habitual cannibalism. A spontaneous act, they will use machette to first deliver deadly cuts that kill their victim, and then begin to chop the dead victim into parts and pieces. The victims are usually family members but sometimes neighbors are also attacked.
This culture and its practice must be stopped. Upon trial and convinction the perpetrator must be killed likewise with a machette and his bodies chopped up into parts.

If govt will act it will serve as a good deterrent and save lives of strangers and families that are hunted and killed by these three group of murderers.

Govt does not care about anyone. All they care about is to embark on projects that will give them high returns. No one cares about all these. Even if they will do, it all depends on how much they will make on it.

When they steal, some of us make jokes out of it and create memes. All these is because we still have little. When it finishes eye will clear. It might or might not be this generation but eyes will soon clear. Cos gread, self, and tribal wars will.not allow us to do the right thing
