Disappointed. Moving on... |
Ibeme:Lol... I know it has no direct effect on/with me. I am just engaging in a "political socialisation," if you will, through the Internet. When I said I am invested in the boycott, and want to see it to the end, I meant it as an observer. |
A001:You just might inspire me again to start keeping a 'dream book'. 🥲 There are many a dream I've had that are just so out of this world that I know would be great works of literature if I built on them, but I can't recall them anymore. The ideas, totally lost. I remember one I had seeing myself in 'prehistoric' Egypt and there were pyramids all around me. 🤣 Somewhere I've never been in my life o. Some are always so fantastic, bizarre and 'sonic-like'. Imagine if you take the multicolored setting of a club and you multiply it a thousand times. It's a sensory titanic. Okay, I do research work in Physics, Mathematics, and Consciousness Science. I regard it as my life's work, a sort of calling based on some personal experiences (such as lucid dreaming and the likes) I had years ago while in the university and before then.Waiiit. What research work still need to be done in Mathematics? 😭 I mean, doesn't it already have some set of fixed equations and rules? You mean, you're still adding the pre-existing mathematical formulas there are? I can imagine kids in 3044 being mad at you for developing some complex calculation techniques now the way we used to be mad at the founders of the ones we learnt in school. 😂 |
A001:These are some spritual/traditional/religious songs I love. https://vm.tiktok.com/ZMMmvvTdU/ - Osun's. https://vm.tiktok.com/ZMMmvQvp5/ - A Nordic/Viking own. https://vm.tiktok.com/ZMMmvTKFG/ - Throat singing commonly practiced by The Inuit. |
https://vm.tiktok.com/ZMMmvjeNC/ Wow. 😭😭😭 This- this is so-. Reminiscent of the storming of the Bastille. Not quite like it, but perhaps a sub- action under it. Truly beautiful, and a once-in-a-blue-moon reminded of power truly residing with the people. Like corporations are, because the masses are. Now I'm really invested in this boycott, and want to see it to the end. Sees how smoothly Starbucks will sail through. Will make for an interesting political/economic analysis in the future. |
A001:Lol... these "spiritual" exercises...I'm as lazy to carry them out for real as I am as lazy about most things. So I cannot verify for myself if they are true or not. I only just feel drawn to them because it's mentally stimulating to *learn* about. And gathering a pile of knowledge I may never make use of (except in fiction-writing sha, so I guess they are not completely useless). I like to read about stuff like that mostly on an intellectual level. (I was once obsessed with finding the infamous The Book of Moses and the legend about it that abounded. ![]() On one hand, I did not believe anything's going to happen to me if I read it. Simply read it. I was not going to try to use it as some ritual to summon a "demon" ). Sometimes I can't help but feel like I could have been deeply involved in Yoruba traditional religion if the circumstances of my birth/the trajectory of my life had been different (I love Osun songs- maybe it's just their melodic quality). But I found Christianity (first. And by design, perhaps) and I'm comfortable with that because the very basic requirement for being an adherent is a belief in Jesus. And maybe baptism. Every other thing else that you can attempt spiritually as a Christian would depend on your growth level/depth. I'd take reading and pondering on a couple of passages a day over some meditational exercise I have to be *wholly* prepared for. The only time I ever 'experienced' some inner 'alter ego', I did it as a writing exercise for my writer's block lmao. Now whether my brain completely tricked me into thinking I was legitly talking to another me, or it's real, it sha worked. But I still really really believe a lot of these experiences are handiwork of the brain- all in the field of neuroscience as mentioned above. Trance, visions, soul ties (there's a "flame" from my past that I seem to communicate with in my mind, but I still can't put it past my brain just conjuring and making up things on my behalf because I want it to be so, and because it knows that I was obsessed with this person). So I do believe in otherworldly experiences, only that they are very rare and exceptional. The rest, it's the brain and its consciousness. |
A001:There was a time I wanted to induce myself into experiencing this. 😭😭 I read and read and read, and I chose a day to practice all I've been reading so finally in the night, my brain with carry on with the exercise and make me lucid dream. But omo, my liver failed me. 😂 I was scared of going mad because one of the recommendations was that you should constantly question whether you were dreaming or awake in the real world, all through the day. Every minute. Question the realness of what you're doing or holding. I did it for a few seconds, and some things recommended before I chickened out. I feared that I'll forever not be able to differentiate between real life and dream world anymore. 🤣 I only "enjoy" lucid dreaming when it happens on its own. It's one of the best feelings ever 😃. Having "superpowers" in my dream that I'm able control? Nah, nothing compares. |
CodedWealth:Sorry, come again. |
pocohantas:Nahh, they are o. ![]() They are really expensive. From the binding to marketing/publicity, and even the time it'll take to print out copies is a lot of monies gone already. Lol. Yeah, well. To be making "okay" money for living comfortably off of writing takes (time to) practice, consistency and probably some 'information/connection'. So it's not a breezy walk with talent alone. |
Proserpina:🤣🤣🤣🤣 |
Proserpina:Yes, please. I'm sorry for the late acknowledgement. |
Proserpina:Sounds like the name of a flight going inter-dimensional. 😂 Make person nor go end up for Agbede Meji Orun from earth. |
folake4u:I guess so too. |
Maysdevices:🤣🤣 |
folake4u:So it's not true for you? Wow. With the way I see people posting about it online, I'd think it something every lady with big boobs experience. |
Proserpina:Can you give me an email you have access to? 😓 You can delete afterwards. Why I'm PMing is quite important. |
WhoDeyHause:That has never been hard for me to do with anyone. I will beg YOU to mind your business, and skip anything that has to do with me and we wouldn't have any problem. If I mentioned or "indicted" anybody in anyway, it was never unprovoked. The Flint notably is one of the people here I nor dey get issue with (and I frankly haven't seen him in any ish with anybody). Does he have two heads? Be like him and dey your dey. Thank you too. |
Mtcheeeeeeewwwwwwwww. |
pocohantas:Lol. That's not true in the slightest. I mean what that user said. I am in many writers' communities, and people only still talk about AI takeover in mostly hypothetical situations, and concerns about it that may rise up. BookTok is literally a big category on TikTok and even bookstores have sections dedicated to "TikTok Made Me Buy It". Debut books are being released every other day. And demand for content writers haven't dwindled too. The only people I can see being impacted by AI in the now are graphic designers. During that AFCON, a lot of big social media accounts and cable TV handles on Twitter were all using AI-generated pictures. Even the Erisco man, it's mostly AI graphics that people are using to troll him. |
raumdeuter:How did quoting the whole passage add to your point now? Hian. |
FRANCISTOWN:Take your own advice and leave women alone, including quoting them on NL. Thank you. |
Chee59:Chioma, me? 😂 |
izzou:I usually trust Pina's judgment on things, so I have no doubt it'll be as interesting as you've corroborated. I find detective/forensic/investigative stuff like that the most interesting. ![]() I cannot count how many books in the genre I've read. If reading was all it required to be certified, I would have become a medical examiner by now. I'll check the series out, and see if I love it. Although I'm not a big fan of them. |
izzou:You and proserpina should likely begin some form of Unholy Alliance Fan(dom) of The Rookie. ![]() She's as obsessed. |
OasisX:The Bloomberg Africa post you shared? Lol Is it going to affect the price of fuel in anyway? And it's until May. Is that how long it usually take a refinery to start being 100% functional and in business? ![]() Because I've been reading about that refinery since last year and how it's going to start working. |
OasisX:Okay, baby. ![]() What's the latest with Tinubu's government today? |
iamoyindamola:Co-signed. And I hope this will signal the start of peaceful relations between every single person in here; no bias. |
OasisX:I don't know what that quote means, but me I'm just having fun o. 😂😂 Shebi it is called "tako oro so" abi what is it? Is it a crime? |
Don't feed the troll. Starve it of attention and it'll die. |
Egbere elejo iyaShebi this one too is on topic, ba? 🤣🤣🤣 Let Semid4lyfe just show fess and let me see if he'll sanction 'everybody' on behalf of Mr. Tagger or not. Was that all the fuel it took to get you started like a wailing car? Just a reference? But look at me here thinking you've turned a new leaf eish... smh. |
OasisX:Shey you're seeing? 😂😂😂 |
