Agriculture / Re: Fish Farming Business (mackerel) by EuroMeko(m): 9:59pm On Aug 17, 2011
eoronsaye:

Hi People
I would like to know why fish farmers in nigeria have not gone into breeding Mackerel. I mention Mackerel because this is without doubt one of or the most popular fish eaten in Nigeria. Yet virtually all Mackerel consumed is being imported from abroad. I am aware that fish farmers are rearing predominantly catfish and tilapia, yet no one seems to focus on Mackerel.

Can anyone enlighten me on why this is so or have I just discovered a massive gap in the market for home grown Mackerel.

Cheers
Ese

I applaud the Military man. These are examples of little things that Nigerians should not tolerate.

His Father was elected by "the People" to server 'the People".

If true that this happened then his Father should be impeached.

My lil Bro has been married to a beautiful Asian Woman for 20 years with three beautiful kids, one of which is a US Marine.

Personally I think OP has a bone to pick with Nigerian Men and this thread was just a red herring.

Not a big deal and it's all a big to do for nothing.

Let's ask the innocent lost souls that were slammed into the WTC on 911 and those that died in the towers how they feel about airport security.
Autos / Re: What Is A Rebuilt Car by EuroMeko(m): 11:43am On Aug 17, 2011
I can give you a USA based definition.

A rebuilt car is a car that has been in an accident, declared salvaged by the insurance company (In most cases) and was repaired. It could also mean that it was in a flood.

Here in the US you try to stay away from cars that comes from Texas, Louisiana, New Orleans, etc due to the recent flooding there that placed many cars underwater.

A rebuilt, here in the US, has a significant less value than a non rebuilt car.

Can I borrow a vernacular from NL? "Shine yah eyes, well well" lol

No, thank you Sir.

I typically do not get involved with politics and church online and they are sure fire way to get peoples "oars out of the water".

No worries we all learn from each other.

Of course anyone with intellect knows that there's a difference between ignorance and a differing opinion. The only indicator you used and that is available to you on this thread and the you used to judge us as ignorant is our opinion. You don't know the educational level of us nor our political accumen.

Every single American President has raised taxes on both sides of the line. Nothing new here and it's an American way of life. Some taxes are by income taxes and others by state/local government.

Like I said, you have your vote, use it but there is no need to ridicule others because they don't agree with you.

It's been good, could have done without the draconian knee jerk insult but such us the way of the internet.

See you on another thread, in the meantime we agre to disagree.

I bought land in Ogombo last year and LAWYER from Nairaland did all the documentation for me. Even though I was cheated by the seller, It will be a good buy in the end. Ogombo land is peaceful.
People are actually living (Nice buildings) in front and beside my plot. There is electricity pole there as well. I am the only one they are waiting for.

Explain in further detail if you can so we can learn from your experience.

325i or 318i?

The e36 us a very desirable car for Nigeria, very strong mechanicals and simple to repair/update.

That is a very smart price.

My lil Bro races this podium car in SCCA. Good luck with sale.

Two ignorant folks trying to be more republican than Mitch McConnell.

Did reality101 forget this portion of the article - "We have demonstrated the need for these buses going back to 1980," said Ed Donovan, a Secret Service spokesman, recalling the days when future president Ronald Reagan stormed the country by bus. Each of the new buses will be available to Obama and the eventual Republican presidential nominee if required through the duration of the 2012 election season."

and to euromeka who says "nothing has changed" and would like to vote republican, can we remind him that nothing indeed has changed BECAUSE we have republicans who care more about destryoying the Obama presidency than getting the economy back on track. But if he would like to continue the Bush legacy, by all means vote republican. Dont be shocked when medicare disappears, the economy fully collapses and your workers rights are severely eroded. thankfully i'm in a point in my career where that will not affect me at all.

Anyone that has a differing opinion from you is ignorant, okay I get it.

I forgot Bush is the only Republican President we've ever had - wink

PS: The assumption that I am not in the same point in my career as yours is based on what?

Foreign Affairs / Re: Obama Shopping With Taxpayers Money by EuroMeko(m): 6:13pm On Aug 16, 2011
I take offence at your editorial comment. You intentionally are trying to mislead readers.

Here's a better snapshot of the original article:

"But the Service decided to commission its own vehicles, reasoning that the initial total outlay of 2.2 million dollars for two buses would soon pay for itself over a projected 10-year lifespan.
"We have demonstrated the need for these buses going back to 1980," said Ed Donovan, a Secret Service spokesman, recalling the days when future president Ronald Reagan stormed the country by bus."

1) Obama did not buy the Bus, the Secret service did. AS they have been doing for every single US President.
2) Obama is doing what every single first term President has been doing, using the last days of the term to campaign for the second term.
3) The two buses ($2.2m) is a direct shot into the American RV industry and it's labors.
3) You have the right to your vote but hopefully you use better intellect in your decision.

I am a die hard Democrat but I think I am ready for the Republicans, not because the SS bought a bus but because nothing has changed for me positively in 4 years. I am not delusional that the Republican President will do anything for me but we need to shake things up a bit. We need to focus more on internal affairs even at the expense of external repercussions. A lot of us are sufferings and look back with glee at the Regan/Clinton era.

That being said, how do we fix the Lagos/Ibadan Expressway? - wink

Richvkunt:

@Gayi OP,

My dear, this is the last place you should have come to for advice, cos most of the women on this forum are in self denial. If you trace them to their homes they have bigger issues with their husbands/partners,than you do but they will come onto cyberspace and pretend all is well intheir households, and then they will give you advise to leave your husband/partner.
Okay-you decide to leave your husband? Are you gonna remain celibate for the rest of your life?
If you leave your husband today, and meet a new man-do you think this new man will not cheat on you?
Is this new man coming from Mars
Look,my sister men cheat all the time-you can not understand this because it is a man thing.
You may not even commit any offence against your man and he just cheats on you-It happens all the time(Although not as blatantly as your hubbys case)

Listen to me cos am only gonna say thia once-DO NOT LEAVE YOUR HUSBAND!
What you need to do is sit down with him, when he is in a good mood and have a heart to heart talk with him.
Ask him what he detests about you and try to make ammends,if not for yourself but for your children.
Pamper your man-Men love this but would not tell you cos they want to appear macho.
Cook good food for him.Give him a manicure/Pedicure treatment.
Put his favourite acoholic beverage in the fridge and serve it to him as he steps through the door.
Run his bath for him.
Give him good s.ex.(Be inventive)

He is your man-fight to keep him.
A WORD IS ENOUGH FOR THE WISE!
I feel you need to step up your love game, cos from your post it appears your husband loves crazy s.ex-in cars etc.It appears he likes to take pictures? You just need to up your game.
Finally I am gonna tell you something-Every man wants a lady in public but a W.hore in the bed room.Remember there is nothing indecent about how you make love to your man-so step up your game.
GOODLUCK!

You're a very wise person.

Business / Question On Drilling Machine And Backhoe. by EuroMeko(m): 10:43pm On Aug 15, 2011
Part of my business plan is to source resources/materials as much as I can locally as opposed to importing. This way I support other industries.

(1) What is the going rate for water bore hole near Ibadan/IjebuOde?
(2) Is there as such as a heavy equipment rental facilities in Nigeria yet where I can rent a backhoe for a few months instead of buying oen outright? If not, how can I locate used backhoes for sale in Nigeria?

Thank you.

Perhaps that will be the calling and business will boom from there with flete of drivers and vehicles.
