MrCork:I dont believe that we should hate, slander or manhandle people who have a different orientation,a stunningly cute gay twink once asked me out on a bus ride,i simply replied by smiling and telling him that i'm not really into bathing in my own team,he looked surprised but laughed good naturedly and we befriended each other for the duration of the bus trip.lets just learn to be tolerant and free of hypocrisy, unnecessary rage only connotes a person as a raving dog. |
Teempakguy:Interesting.... |
EPISODE 1: One of the social dilemma that has attracted wide-spread controversy in Africa is homosexualism. Many view the idea of homosexualism as a malevolent scheme by the western world to control Africa; weed our population and spread religious unrighteousness.Others view it as barbaric and unhealthy, you will hear them bellowing: "it is unafrican!" or "it is a sin,God didnt create adam and steve!". My opinion on this matter has always been that we need to wean ourselves off our foolhardy hypocrisy, even though I do not support gay marriage,I however recognise that each individual has fundamental human right.Did God forbid mutual affection between same sex?,I honestly dont know. Didnt David and Jonathan love each other more than they loved any other person?,perhaps its brotherly love, but one does wonder why Jonathan would defy his father almost to the point of death for a best friend. That is a strictly religious issue anyway. It is funny how many people who condemn homosexuality publicly, turn around to patronize gay pornography behind the safety of their curtains. God didnt tell us to condemn people with divergent views of life, instead we should be tolerant and cultivate them in our own way. Now let me launch into my research on the African origin of homosexuality. Let us start from Nigeria; In the northern part of Nigeria, there are specific groups of males called the " yan daudu",these men are effeminate and are referred to as "wives of men", they practise their sexuality unhindered and are even regarded as exotic by the locals.Isn't it interesting that the government isn't talking about these people?. One of the most prominent homosexual in African history was King Mwanga II of Buganda kingdom(modern day Uganda),who was loved by his subjects despite his sexual inclinations. Researchers discovered bushman artwork and paintings depicting gay sex in the ancient caves of the San people near Guruve in Zimbabwe. This was one of the greatest highlight of the African culture uncovered in the 21th century. Let us go to Lesotho, the Basotho women form cultural relationships called "motsoalle" in which they kiss, touch and have sex for fun: quite an interesting culture, isn't it?. Aha.....we must not forget Egypt,in the late 19th century,a painting of Nyankh-khnum and Khnum-hotep surfaced in an archaelogical site in egypt. The painting depicted the two prominent egytians kissing.Furthermore,it was found that the two men were buried together. Some researchers claim they were twins, you my audience should come to your own conclusions. Same-sex relationships in Africa were far more complex than what the champions of the “un-African” myth would have us believe. Apart from erotic same-sex desire, in precolonial Africa, several other activities were involved in same-sex (or what the colonialists branded “unnatural”) sexuality. For example, the Ndebele and Shona in Zimbabwe, the Azande in Sudan and Congo, the Nupe in Nigeria and the Tutsi in Rwanda and Burundi all engaged in same-sex acts for spiritual rearmament — i.e., as a source of fresh power for their territories. It was also used for ritual purposes. Among various communities in South Africa, sex education among adolescent peers allowed them to experiment through acts such as “thigh sex” (“hlobonga” among the Zulu, “ukumetsha” among the Xhosa and “gangisa” among the Shangaan). In many African societies, same-sex sexuality was also believed to be a source of magical powers to guarantee bountiful crop yields and abundant hunting, good health and to ward off evil spirits. In Angola and Namibia, for instance, a caste of male diviners — known as “zvibanda,” “chibados,” “quimbanda,” gangas” and “kibambaa” — were believed to carry powerful female spirits that they would pass on to fellow men through anal sex. Even today, marriages between women for reproductive, economic and diplomatic reasons still exist among the Nandi and Kisii of Kenya, the Igbo of Nigeria, the Nuer of Sudan and the Kuria of Tanzania. Like elsewhere around the world, anal intercourse between married opposite-sex partners to avoid pregnancy was historically practiced by many Africans before the invention of modern contraceptive methods. |

vedaxcool:Egypt is not like Nigeria where government does not place top priority on national security: a country that cannot protect its citizen and demonstrate martial capability abroad on behalf of its sovereignity is not fit to be called a great nation. |
Missy89:What is angola doing with SU30s?,What was South Africa thinking when it acquired gripens and 3 submarines?,What is algeria planning to do with over 500 T90 tanks and why are they acquiring license to assemble more?,What is Egypt doing with mistral class warships?,Could they all be plotting treachery and hatching anarchy?. DEFENCE AND POWER PROJECTION!!,that is what all those stockpiles are for, must we be at war before we start thinking of arming ourself?.We are poised to become the 10th largest economy in the known world and the 4th biggest population by 2040,are we going to protect these prestigious indexes without an airforce?,without tanks?. Nigeria is the only country where airforce pilots have to strap on talisman and conjure spiritual enchantments just because our aircrafts dont even have armour to protect them from bullets!. |
IbnSultaan:Attach your source. |
IbnSultaan:And this means that we should not pay serious attention to our national security because the US isnt ready to sponsor us?.Egypt's F16s are nothing more than skeletons; stripped of their advanced avionics and sophisticated metawares,if Nigeria can acquire just 50 SU-30(20)+SU-35(10)+YAK-150(20) along with air defence missiles and a few hundred T80U and T90 tanks, then we can defend ourselves against any African country. Nigeria shouldnt be content with mediocrity. |
CSTR2:Thank you my brother,we want to be a member of the prestigious UNSC,yet we have no military that can sustain peace in Africa and project power abroad, either through fear or force. Egypt can easily annex Nigeria in just 2 weeks. We have no deterrence, yet heavyweights like Algeria and Egypt have their borders bearly 2000km away from our national boundary. Imagine if Muammar Gadaffi was still alive,he would have most probably thrown his weight behind BH's islamic separatist agenda, and guess what?,Libya's military might would have swept us into the very swollen belly of the raging atlantic ocean. Remember,Gadaffi canvassed for the summary separation and disintegration of Nigeria into two states based on religious configuration. Nigerian leaders are so clueless and ignorant. |
IbnSultaan:We have been expecting and speculating about a possible delivery of JF-17s since early 2015.What assurance do you have that these weapons are going to be delivered?,our country doesnt seem to be serious. |
xpac01:Because he is the president of the biggest and argueably most powerful black nation in the entire world. |
DaBullIT:How many of the OPEC states have 200 million mouths to feed?,how many of them has 2/3rd of their working class engaged in the civil services?.I dont understand Nigerians. |
FighterPilot:My man,you are speaking to a Nigerian, and I know when a person is attempting to throw up unnecessary concepts in hopes of confusing his opponent. In fighter jets, there are 2 types of RCS: 1. Reaction Control System: this has to do with thrust velocity and reaction mechnism. 2. Radar Cross Section; which is normally written as "RCs/rcs",not "RCS".By typing RCS,you intentionally maneovered your opponent off track and derailed. |
FighterPilot:Even with an RCS the size of a dove, the gripen cannot evade a strong radio sweep and tracking system of the JF-17.At a distance of 140km,the JF-17 can effectively lock on the gripen or maneover out of electromagnetic non-visual range before the gripen even realizes its predicament. |
mzilakazi:Exactly, its all speculative, but it is moderately certain that JF-17's BVR range supersedes 140km at maximum, downplaying the capability of the JF-17 doesnt make your claims accurate. |
mzilakazi:Nonsense,no one has detailed schematics of the JF-17(except the chinese and pakistani ministries of defence); so most analysis about its operational capabilities are either speculative or incomplete. But from what we know, the JF-17 definitely has a BVR range of over 140km at maximum, which outpaces the gripen by more than 20-40km,and the advanced block is being fitted with AESA radar. JF-17 is by no means a rookie warplane,if it is,why then is it being offered to Argentina?,everyone knows the aerial power that can be fielded by the UK. |
RooiBoi:What is this one saying? |
KvngKong:I'm not in sch. right now, lets meet on monday at SLT,is that cool with you? |
KvngKong:200L |
martineverest:What can I say?,they had personnal relationships with their lecturers. |
Walelavender:It seem to be a constant phenomenon in most Nigerian universities for civil engineering jorks to be very unruly and uncultured. Many of them go around campus making a public nuisance of themselves, prancing on desks and screaming at the top of their lungs when other people are trying to concentrate on lectures. It is only engineering lecture theatre in unilorin that has broken bulbs, ruined electric sockets, rusted ceiling fans and dismantled air-conditioners,the effect is worsened by thick networks of cobwebs, broken windows and a littered environment. It really doesnt speak well of them. Anyway,Engineers dont do core mathemathics. |
martineverest:Their mathematics must be very easy,I have never heard of any committed student trying to read mathematics from a textbook, and yet hoping to understand it.It doesnt work that way. |
kobonaire:I suspected as much. |
Emeskhalifa:Thanks bro. |
Funpeter:Lol,I didnt say that. |
martinsmartest:Uh oh....which university do you attend?,getting an A without attending classes sounds a bit far-fetched to me. |
Durentt:Thats cool bro,I actually respect mathematicians, because even though I consider myself smart(grin),solving mathematical equations gives me headache and literarilly drains me physically. When we did ODE in 100L(MAT115 is a compulsory course for 100L life sciences students in unilorin),I was so confused that I had to ask around for an explanation; which is something I really really hate doing, when I woke up the next morning,I had forgotten how to solve a basic ODE equation again.lol.Mathematics ain't a piece of cake. |
martinsmartest:Though i'm a life sciences student,I have to admit that statistics is one of the most demanded field on the job market,it beats even medicine, life sciences, pharmacy and engineering; engineering is a fantastic field, but it has become too crowded to hold as much definite prospect as before.Mathematics is an associate twin to statistics, therefore,it is a high-level course,no hyping. kudos to you too bro,I rep unilorin("better by far!" ![]() |
Durentt:Maltina?,nah,I'm more of a veleta guy,or betterstill,ice-cream and chocolate will do. Anyway, which university are you attending? PS: add chicken n' chips to the mix.#olivertwist tinz.lol. |
Durentt:Mathematicians are field individuals, they have a place in every institution ranging from the multinational oil companies to the automechanic clinics. The only problem is that they get stiff competition from the statistics guys, who tend to be more favored, especially in Nigeria. Engineering, business administration and accounting are very crowded fields, though I particularly dislike civil engineering guys, perhaps due to their unruly attitude on campus. However, statistics seem to be the reigning field now,I would say that statistics is the huber hottest cake in town, its too hot for a cold shower!.lol. |
