I'm indeed sceptical about same sex marriage legalization,an average gay man has over a dozen bed partners in his lifetime, thus it is a logical conclusion that gay marriage can never last.
However,I believe that homosexualism is a Psycho Hormonal Defect, and can be either inborn, hereditary or as a result of socio-environmental influence. It is therefore grossly unfair to persecute homosexuals,it isnt their fault that they are homosexuals.
Imprisoning or killing homosexuals amounts to serious human right abuse and all countries who institute such misguided punishments should be made to face the full weight of international sanctions until they regain civilized decorum.
Let us allow LGBTs to live their lives.

So didn't you have motorcycle battalion all this while? Wonders shall never end.
Dont be dumb,we already have a military motorcycle battalion and MOPOL motorcycle units, but they are normally used as civilian convoy escorts for government officials and VIPs.
The army wants to establish a new motorcycle battalion that is trained and equipped for counter-terrorism warfare: especially in the area of hot pursuit and auxiliary formation penetration.
Do you expect the DHQ to withdraw the motorcycle unit security detail of our government officials and herd them into the rocky hills of sambisa forest and mountaineous contours of the mandara mountains to fight faceless brigands?

But I think most corrupt leaders are those before GEJ especially the military rulers.. I just hope buhari plays his cards right... I just wish we had someone like Rollins of Ghana... but its not possible because they will say its human right abuse..
The Rollins method will never work in Nigeria; it would mean civil war.
Buhari can only go after the bigger loots, which majorly happened during abacha, obasanjo and jonathan regimes.
The cases include: the 40 suitcases saga, mysterious disappearance of 1 million barrels of crude oil every single day of the jonathan regime, alamaseigba money laundering scandal, stolen PTF funds during abacha's regime etc...

Wrong. The transgender procedure can only be performed when everything of a person is woman but they have stuck with male organ that they remove and replace it with a female organ.
What you are talking about is different: You are talking about gender correction which is different from hormonal correction.
LGBTs need hormonal correction
Hermaphrodites and Natural Gender-Swaps need gender correction

Really that's why I keep saying we shouldn't even deliberate on it 'cos. the war will be worse than that of BH,, If we ever legalize LGBT,,,,
we should be ready for those pedophiles to make us legalize THIGHING have you ever heard of it?? you should Google it..
Yes,I know what thighing means: Thighing is an islamic culture that involves a man placing his manhood between the legs of a young girl that hasnt reached puberty{2-13 years old} or even baby.
An act of utmost evil.
This is a very serious act of violation that cannot be instituted in this country.
The fact that a lustful Mohammad did it to a 6 year old Aishat over 1800 years ago doesnt justify modern application of such barbaric pratices.
Yet some senators{who arent even muslims} support such pedophilic imbecility.

What a stup1d argument.

And if same-s3x marriages never last, it's not your place to stop then from happening.

Males = gay
Females = lesbians
Gender-changed = Transexûals
Attracted to both s3xes = bisexûal

Nigeria needs a basic education on the most basic of issues.

But what's your opinion on the $180m haliburton case people keep saying he just has to probe those involved in the bribery and then we get money,,, do you think he will probe them ??.
The haliburton case involves very powerful elements,I think Buhari will probe it,but the outcome may not be satifactory.
That is mainly why he doesnt want to probe beyond the jonathan government.

All of that have been tried but failed and only concluded in transgender as the solution. You can never change gays from being who they are.

Transgender surgery is a very expensive procedure.
Transgender surgery isnt a conclusive solution, you cant just change a man's sexual appetite and preference by stuffing him into a woman's skin.Sprouting breasts wouldnt change a man's inclination, what is needed is hormonal correction.

I know that you're not a Muslim but they're still your brothers... If the rehabilitation will work for them then no problem,,,, but I think the govt. should leave the gay issue in Nigeria as it is now 'cos deliberating on it will lead to a dead end and besides its the least of our problems....
I support that, some of the senators are either closet homosexuals or sexually perverted, yet they are willing to frustrate others like them in the populace.
We should maintain the status quo for the time being.

The problem also is that you can never cure a person from being gay. Is either they have more of feminine or masculine hormones with some even growing breasts or beards. How will you cure that? Will you cure this lady?
Yes,they can be 'cured'.Many methods can be adopted to go along with councelling which include:

psyco-anatomic surgery,systematic neuro-surgery of human hormonal stimulating system,medication..etc.
You should not confuse hermaphrodites and natural 'sex-swaps' with LGBTs,many of them are not homosexuals.
The fact that a man lools feminine or a woman looks masculine doesnt mean that they are attracted to the same sex.

yes I agree that they should not be killed but I also Disagree to legalizing the law,,.... you're aware about the doctrine of Christianity, you know that your sharia brothers in the North would first kill them,, before listening to dialogues and doctrines... I can't even imagine what the aftermath will be if Nigeria ever legalizes gay........but I know it will be the opposite of how it happened in America peacefully...
I'm not directly supporting legalization of the law: Gay marriages never last, gay men are very eccentric,an average gay man has over a dozen bed-partners in his lifetime.
What i'm saying is that we shouldnt imprison them either,it changes nothing: they will still be gay after their 14 years jail term has expired.
A lasting solution that would please the majority and protect the minority is to rehabilitate LGBTs,instead of throwing them into jail.
PS: lol,I'm not a northerner,neither am I muslim.

Bihari can never see $300 billion even if can be given supernatural powers.
Nigeria can buy the whole south african nation two times over with our funds that have been looted and stored abroad.
According to statistics, over $50bn of looted funds leaves the Nigerian shores yearly since the 2nd republic.Logically,it is impossible to recover all our looted funds, due to lost records of cash transactions. But even then, the amount we can be able to retrieved is worth over $300bn.
Buhari is ready to do anything to retrieve the money.

grin LooOL,,,, I FEEL YOU,, YOU UNDERSTAND MY PLIGHT HERE,,,
But really gay legalization here, has more to do with the citizens,, you live in Nigeria and you know their reactions whenever the gay issue comes up,,,
Some parents that when you are not married at a certain age its already a problem,,, you now tell them you're gay??,,, as for my mum I trust her,,if I ever tell her DAT am a lesbian she will just lock me in a room full of men..
just poking..
But you agree that we should not imprison or kill them: It is counter-productive to do so,it only makes them martyrs and strengthens the cause for the right to homosexual marriage internationally, which may sooner or later lead to global widespread violence like islamic terrorism.
Rather, they should be councilled and treated in specialized rehabilitation centres until they can be allowed to join the society.
LGBTs are human beings, and persecuting a fellow human being is against the doctrines of christianity.

BUT I HOPE BUHARI HAS STRIGENT ECONOMIC MEASURES TO DIVERSIFY THE ECONOMY...
Buhari's policy involves recovering looted funds from home and abroad{an amount that could run into a whooping $300bn},and injecting the money into the economy, infrastructure, power and social welfare.
Also,it seems he has an agenda concerning decentralizing the oil sector and breaking the NNPC into two bodies: regulatory and investment, thereby wiping out corruption in the oil industry and opening up a new bidding process. No more Niger Delta "son of the soil" n0nsense or Northern cabal network.
All in all,i think Buhari has a clear cut and well structured agenda concerning the economy.
Its his agenda concerning the military that i'm uncertain about.

DISCUSS:
My opinion on gay rights and gay marriage is quite liberal: I do not believe that the best way to deal with gays and lesbians is to imprison or kill them.
While I must confess my skepticism about the legalization of gay marriage,I would like to admit that persecution of LGBTs is a serious crime against humanity, simply because it isnt their fault that they are lesbians or gay.
I strongly believe that homosexualism is a Psycho-Hormonal Defect: which can be either inborn, hereditary or caused by socio-environmental influence.
But how do we deal with this?: By establishing rehabilitation centres where people who are discovered to be LGBTs can be treated and councilled over a period of time, before they are then released back into the society.
This is the only way we can protect the rights of the minority and equally satify the majority.
Nigerian law does not directly forbid private homosexual intercourse; it only forbids homosexual marriage and public show of homosexuality.

Nigerian troops should have been deployed to retain the area after they send Chadian troops packing out of their borders.
They shouldnt have entered the town when they knew that they couldnt sustain a prolonged seige.
Perhaps they 'liberated' the town to facilitate smooth passage of illegal arms into BH hands through the borders.Of course,i'm not insinuating anything,Chad has 'battle hardened' saints fighting against terrorists in sub-saharan Africa.
