agaugust:There will come a time when such a petulant action would prompt a full scale aerial assualt on all of Chad's military and airforce bases in N'djamena.France or no France. |
mzilakazi:Explain |
agaugust:It appears that they couldnt sustain the occupation of such a big town,so they withdrew just like in Malam fatori and Damasak. |
mzilakazi:The Emperor has fallen!,long live the Emperor!! |
ddami:Indeed, but i discovered that the only way to chase these vermins out of this forum is to knock them out verbally. |
DieVluit:And so,we meet again dievluit.I almost believed that you had finally fled from this forum with your cowardly tail firmly tucked between wobbly legs like a chastened hound, after our last encounter where I smashed you into tiny pieces....it seems you have forgotten your place once again, pity I will have to reteach you. About the Chibok girls: You see, finding the chibok girls is a priority to the government due to the political implications, but in truth, our current administration has made it quite clear that finding any of those girls is highly uncertain, but that doesnt mean that the government will not at least try. Of course,I dont expect you to understand anything beyond your crude mentallity. |
ddami:Manpower should be stationed all over high risk areas like Dikwa, perhaps in form of CJTF or MOPOL.This constant military jangurova is rather tiresome. |
ddami:Once again you have displayed your brilliant insights. It disturbs me to see so much intolerance between African nations. Adolf Hitler nearly united Europe under german rule,Africa needs just one decisive leader to shake, break and re-make the continent into a haven of peace and unity. Why do you think BH isnt religious?,I would like to know your reason(s) |
@ddami,Negotiation is only a temporal measure. Indeed,we could negotiate with them{from a position of strength of course} in terms of prisoner exchange. But we shouldnt demand for only the Chibok girls,we should also demand for every civilian in their captivity,in exchange for all their members in our custody along with a temporal cease-fire on both sides. In fact,to top the cherry,we could agree to totally withdraw our forces from Sambisa forest for a period of 5-10 weeks. This would give us the necessary manpower to clear away break-away cells wreaking havoc from isolated strongholds in remote areas all around the north east, while we simultaneously maintain total blockade of the forest: blocking off every escape route and mounting 24/7 aerial surveillance to anticipate every of their move.At the end, when we have secured the whole NE,we can then storm Sambisa in force after acquiring the necessary logistics. But,then again, these people are terrorists, will they honour negotiations?,obviously not!. Use force. |
DISCUSS: Terrorism is fast becoming a continental epidemic in Africa: Boko Haram{ISWAP} in West Africa,Al Shebaab in Eastern Africa,ISIS and Al Quaeda in Northern Africa. Therefore, the question that comes to mind is: what are african leaders doing about it?.Predictably, one does not have to ponder too far to obtain the obvious answer: Nothing. Flashback to early 2015 French mall terror attack,in less than 12 hours,European leaders,in an open display of Unity and Trans-national patriotism, mobilized public support and gathered in Paris to openly march against the impunity of religious radicalism. But the situation is opposite for Africa,at this point,we should already have an AU Anti-Terror Legion in place; well funded and kitted, with a sole trans-continental mandate of crushing terrorists and their allies anywhere on the continent. Rather,we depend on world powers to act as superheroes, flying in to our rescue with billowing capes and a raw unquenchable thirst for justice. But just how wrong are we? |
Could the reports about US-Nigeria Apache advanced attack helicopter deal be true? According to some US and Nigerian sources, the US Defence Department had earlier this week struck a $500m defence deal with Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari for the purchase of 8 Apache advanced helicopters. But a day later,President Buhari was quoted to have sent a strong warning to the US; urging the US leadership to make an urgent decision about selling lethal arms to Nigeria "with little strings attached",as failure to sell arms was "unwittingly" aiding and abetting BH. So,I ask{agaugust, henry, lezz, ddami},what is your opinion about US weapon procurement: (i)Should we tow the US path (ii)Should we face east: acquire lethal hardware en masse from Russia,China, and Pakistan? (iii)Should we look inwards, for urgent development of a military industrial complex{like Israel did} and manufacture our military needs locally?,a process that could take 5-15 years to even begin bearing fruits. |
It has been reported that men of the Nigerian army earlier today stormed a remote part of Dikwa town in Borno state, clearing out 3 ambush points heavily manned with aerial defence guns and rocket launchers, and subsequently neutralizing a large number of BH fighters.Dikwa is therefore completely cleared of terrorist strongholds. Military operations are still ongoing to clear out Sambisa forest and its environs,an area as large as northern Ireland. |

lezz:The BRICS recently launched a $100 Billion bank in beingjin, called the 'New Bank',which in truth is just another Chinese owned bank. Naturally, the prospect of a BRICS Bank is just plain ridiculous, who is going to patronize such an unstable institution?.Even the Chinese AIIB may not really grow to challenge powerful international institutions such as IMF and WB,too many nations owe western institutions like IMF. |
mzilakazi:What else do you expect a politician to say? His statement does not mean that Nigeria has no money,it only highlights that the treasury has taken a hard hit due to corruption and wasteful spending of previous administrations. |
mzilakazi:negative effect of eating too much custard. |
mzilakazi:dismissed |
mzilakazi:lol....talking about military aid when your military barely has two rand to rub together. |
mzilakazi:Well, why am i not surprised?. South africans are notorious for peddling lies and cheap gossip while lazing around in beer parlours, when their Nigerian counterparts are counting honestly earned money at their places of work. |
mzilakazi:You must be an illiterate, the FG gave out N400bn bailout to 16 states for the payment of state workers, while the Central Bank of Nigeria approved a soft loan to cushion individual state economies from crashing out on short term basis. Where does it say that the FG is 'penniless'?,if the FG is broke, will it be able to give out $1.6bn bailout to 16 states and sponsor the MNJTF with another $10m?,if Nigeria is broke, will the CBN be able to approve another N300bn soft loan to ailing state governments? The educational standard of UNISA must have sunk to an all-time low,for them to even admit a doddery dunce like you into the university. |
mzilakazi:The NAF has flown over 5000 sorties since july last year till date..yet no one has ever heard of "collateral damage everywhere". After 5 years of constant aerial operations, only 2 fighter jets,1 helicopter and 1 armed drone has crashed so far. This is a testament of the level of professionalism in the NAF,we beat the egyptian airforce in professionalism. |
mzilakazi:Apply for military aid from SA?,lol, you south africans can barely feed yourselves, your government can no longer provide constant power supply, over 30% of your population are unemployed with poverty, hunger, disease and violence on the rise, furthermore, your parliamentarians are always physically pummelling each other on the floor of the parliament, displaying the primitive mentallity of a banana republic.Does that sound like a country capable of giving any type of aid?,SA should try to send aid to zimbabwe from the pitiful change in your treasury. We are aiming to be in the league of South Korea,Japan,NetherlandUK and other US allies. |
mzilakazi:lol....The bailout was given by the federal government to the state government,to help the pay workers. No loan was ever made. The money was withdrawn from the NLNG account, not the ECA,the ECA is still intact: the presidency assured Nigerians that the ECA and other federal reserves are very much intact. If you dont understand simple economics, then keep quiet. As for 8000 POWs dying in custody, its all false figures made up by AI,as was the 5000 people who purportedly 'vanished' from baga without a trace early this year. lol,the apache deal is already done,in light of the new US-Nigeria relationship. |
mzilakazi:hehehehehe....other military/economic powers such as Isreal,Egypt,South Korea etc recieve billions of dollars in military aid from the US,why shouldnt Nigeria? Recieving military aid doesnt diminish our intercontinental status,it only strengthens our military capabilities and relationship with the west. |
mzilakazi:lol....Nigeria has no money?,how the hell is the country still running then?. You can say that some state governments are broke, but the federal government is not broke. The akwa ibom saga was part of the nigerian army war against piracy and oil theft,it wasnt targetted genocide as the media portrayed it. Reports that 8000 people have died in military custody in the past 5 years are false, such wild accusations should be dismissed on grounds of heresay. |
mzilakazi:hehehehehe....it is amusing to watch you scream about $5m US donation which is mainly going to end up being spent on IDP camps. What are you gonna do when Nigeria starts recieving billions of dollars in military aid? |
mzilakazi:lol.i can practically feel your butthurting. Nigeria can more than afford a deal worth $500m.In line with US weapon procurement protocol, the deal comes with trainers, equipments and short term mainteinance package. Akwa Ibom?,it was pirates and bandits that were killed in akwa ibom, stop peddling falsehood. |
WASHINGTON TO SELL 8 OR MORE APACHE ADVANCED ATTACK HELICOPTERS TO NIGERIA http://www.persecondnews.com/index.php/psn-news/item/4087-washington-u-s-to-sell-apache-attack-helicopters-to-nigeria |
Did I hear someone talking about giving terrorists a 'fair trial'?.This goes to show the level of ignorance and moral hypocrisy present in our modern day society. There are many strategies involved in combating terrorism;anti-terrorism warfare isnt a conventional warfare, therefore, assymetric tactics must be employed. World human right organizations like amnesty international,go on about human right abuses and targeted genocide, without considering the elementary factors of a complex international crisis such as islamic terrorism. Sometimes, our military has intel confirming that members of a particular community are in secret alliance with BH;aiding BH with food, supplies and manpower. Naturally,a mass arrest is conducted: but due to the fact that their isnt any legal evidence to convict the culprits, neither can they allow terrorists sympathizers to run loose, they have no choice but to neutralize them according to martial law. In all ramifications,we must learn to ask ourselves: Do terrorists have human right? |
Msauza:The US is a military superpower;capable of both arming or disarming any nation of the world as they see fit,in line with their own nation interests/foreign policy. There is no shame in admitting that we would soon be permitted to PURCHASE lethal hardware from the US.The US isnt "helping" us,we are going to pay for the weapons we buy from them. |
