mzilakazi: who said load shedding only happens at night? It happens anytime of the day. You read to much of the news that mislead you.
Besides South Africa is very brilliant. Most South Africans now all have rechargeable bulbs and solar bulbs that can store energy and use it for over 5 hours.
http://www.ellies.co.za/lighting/ellies/FLEDE27
By 2050, you might not be there to experience your lies. Any sensible country cuts power in the night when its more bearable to the populace....well,of course SA isnt a sensible country. You will continue to have power cuts till Nigeria comes to colonize you with electricity. lol,i'm a young man,and by 2050,i'll still be fit enough to chase skirts{lol}.When we have 120 000MW of electricity,SA will still be digging tunnels seeking gold and diamond with candles, while you write down your final will and testament with an oil lamp. |

mzilakazi: SA is already contributing on the world biggest hydro power station in Congo for which it will have a stake. The Inga hydo power station is said to produce 40 000MW of power when completed.
http://www.africanenvironment.co.za/south-african-push-for-grand-inga-hydropower/ hahahaha...imathi ghie oo..shifting the goalpost like the scrawny little alley pickpocket you are!..who was talking about congo?!,we are discussing Nigeria/SA,or is congo a vassal state? Tell me,does SA have a 3050MW hydro-electric power plant?,what about a 5000MW hydro-electric power station?,what about a 6000MW coal plant? No? Of course, because SA has none of those, then we should talk about ethiopia or egypt or botswana..hehehehehe..... |

mzilakazi: WHAT MISERY DOES USA DO NOW INSTEAD OF FREELY DONATING ALL THAT TO NIGERIA BECAUSE NIGERIA HAS NO MONEY. THE UK ALSO DONATED MONEY TO NIGERIA TO HELP DISPLACED PEOPLE OF N.E WITH FOOD THAT THE GOVERNMENT OF NIGERIA CANNOT PROVIDE. Are you scare yet?....the UK donated only a pittance to help the displaced people in the N.E,it doesnt mean that our government cannot provide for its citizens,it was only a friendly gesture between two civilized countries. Hardware from the US would vastly upgrade our military capabilities, placing the Nigerian military in a position to uproot islamic terror groups throughout Africa. Of course i understand that you feel threatened, but never fear,we still need SA intact for the sole purpose of a milking its economy,as pathetic as it may have fallen...but beware, winter is coming. |

mzilakazi: Tell that to your children. Nigeria will never surpass SA in power productions. SA is heading forward to build more mines estimated at 15 and they require more power that will exceed that the power that Nigeria can think of in any day. While your children are leading you around in the dark with candles in your old age,we will be colonizing sub-saharan africa with electricity, and getting paid for it. By 2050,we would have doubled our power output from 48 000MW to 120 000MW,enough to power the whole of africa and still have enough left to gaze upon. It would be a battle for supremacy, which of course you will lose. |

mzilakazi: And SA already installed over 18 000 MW on top of their 46 900MW dummy. Remember, we have already built three power stations and one more solar station. By the time you reach 100 000MW,Nigeria would have reached or even surpassed that amount. You do not know the huge power projects currently being contructed,Nigeria is building another 5000MW hydro-electric power dam along with solar energy projects that would run into over 6000MW.We are also increasing the capacity of our existing power generators by hundreds of megawatts,in 2015 alone, license have being issued for the construction of many gas power plants(at least 6 thermal power plants),a huge coal power plant of 2000MW in the east and other IPPs in the country.By 2020,we will have a combine capacity of 48 000MW to power Africa's biggest economy, largest industry and richest country. |

mzilakazi: Good!! and SA has installed capacity to produce 60 000MW by 2017. Thanks.
We have three power stations already built and on their final stages to be completed. Medupe power station is already producing power just before completion.
We are already starting to build six nuclear power stations.
http://mg.co.za/article/2015-05-19-nuclear-build-to-start-this-year
Never make a mistake of comparing Nigeria to SA in terms of power production. We don't use generators here chief. We have a quiet environment free of noise pollution created by generators. You can never tell the truth even to save your scrawny neck. We already have an installed capacity of 10 000MW + another 2 000MW as at today.SA produces less than 40 000MW of power as at today, not 60 000MW.Your white elephant power projects are never going to come onstream by 2017,continue your dreams if you want. |
Foreign Affairs › Re: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by EVarn(m): 11:03am On Jul 03, 2015 |
mzilakazi: Bwahaha… stop making a mockery of yourself. Nigeria produces a mere 3000 MW of power which cannot even last for 24 hours and generators do not add anything to the grid.
Mr Lezz, Nigeria is doomed in a permanent load shedding. Nigeria has an installed capacity to generate almost 10 000MW of electricity as at April 2015.But due to gas shortfall and pipeline repairs, power flunctuates between 3500MW-5000MW,albeit recently, power has stabilized to 19 hours per day. . http://www.punchng.com/business/energy/nigerias-power-generation-capacity-almost-10000MW-ajifowobaje/. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_power_stations_in_Nigeria. Newly constructed NIPPs are to add another 10 000MW by 2018 along with other large scale power projects. Unlike SA that has grounded to an halt due to recent abysmal power output and 'power cuts',Nigeria is improving on electricity generation everyday, even your government wants to follow our lead and privatize your eksom. |
Foreign Affairs › Re: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by EVarn(m): 10:06am On Jul 03, 2015 |
mzilakazi: 46 000 MW is still too small for 52 million South Africans and I think thay makes sense, that is, if you are knowledgeable about technical subjects.
Sorry to disappoint you sir. South Africa is still enjoying power as usual with only few interruptions that happens on twice a week for only three hours.
Meanwhile, Nigeria uses candles for life and forever and ever, Amen. Nigerians generate over 62 000MW of electricity everyday through individually assisted power generation{IAPG}. Moreover, due to recent privatization of all power generation and distribution companies,Nigeria now has an installed capacity to generate 6580MW of electricity, but due to gas pipeline repairs,we currently generate over 4000MW of power with at least 19 hours of stable power supply per day in most part of the country. |

Jet fighters won't win air battles just because they are expensive and made in USA or EU !
Air force pilots have always warned about visual range combat where everybody dies at the same rate. F-7 will k.ill Gripen and vice versa.
Food for thought.
I will be willing to pay $35 million for a JF-17 Thunder block III and still win my air wars . The F35 wasnt made for dogfight, its a stealth aircraft: strictly stealth and speed. Its no wonder it was beaten by the F16 which is more suited for dogfighting and complex air maneovers. But when it comes to "under the radar" {infilteration} and stealth operations, the F35 is the undisputable champion. |

Henry120: MRAPs are relatively easy to produce. Installing foreign components, the world is self dependant on each other. NNS Centenary might be a chinese made boat, but it's engine and radar are German and British. Testing on the ARA should have been complete by October-December and then mass productions begin in January/February 2017. Very true. The contruction of a made in Nigeria IFV would mark a new beginning in Nigeria's defence industry. We should work towards attracting strong defence companies such as Reutech and Paramount Group into our defence industry,over-reliance on france could be inconvenient on the long run. PS: For God sake!,someone tell buhari to fund DICON!.What would it take the FG to release $50m for research?! |
Foreign Affairs › Re: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by EVarn(m): 7:38pm On Jun 30, 2015 |
Henry240: For the IFV, it it's development is on track, we should see it by 2018, for the ARA MRAP, 2016, ending of 2016. There is no contract with Innoson. Members of the Presidential committee on defence paid him aa visit, and one of the areas they discussed with Innoson motors was the possibility of developing Armoured mobility and utility trucks for the military. Problem is, the committee was a GEJ government initiative. Surely both the IFV and ARA MRAP would need a year or two for testing, modifications and then mass production, isnt 2016 too soon for the MRAP?,fast tracking the project would lead to installation of too many foreign components. If Buhari retains the committee or its mandate,i'm sure the innoson contract will fall through. |

patches689: Su30, Tucano, t80 et al Stuff about satelights, high speed trains, nuclear power plants etc etc etc I find it bizarre that after 2 years of development there is not even a shred of evidence (what is marketing?) to suggest it exists... apart from something some guy said sometime Do you think our government are magicians?,these things take time; our railway projects have been mostly completed, the next phase is high speed trains and monorail projects. Eko Atlantic City has been under construction for over a decade now,yet it hasnt been completed yet even though infrastructures and high-rises are still going up everyday. As for nuclear power, sites have been selected for construction of two nuclear facilities Our guys are in russia negotiating SU-27 and T80 mega deals. Now,lets talk about your 20 years old project biro. |
Foreign Affairs › Re: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by EVarn(m): 3:43pm On Jun 30, 2015 |
Henry240: Yes, absolutely certain. The CEO of Proforce made revelation 2 years ago in a news article. He said the vehicle should be ready in 5 years time, this was 2 years ago. Excerpt there have been delays or setbacks not known to the public, the design of the vehicle is still on track. The components of the ARA MRAP is still unknown, as you can see from the photos, it is still in early stages of development, so nothing yet. Hopefully before the end of the year we would have known enough to make a credible assessment. Although from the shape of the hull it does look like something similar to an Otokar Cobra or Textron commando. However, I do believe that components from Plasan group would be added. The CEO of Plasan visited Proforce facility a couple months back. If things go well,we should be expecting an IFV by 2020,and the ARA MRAP by 2018; I expect testing to take a year or two, then modifications. Do you know anything about Innoson-Nigerian Military tank contract? |
Foreign Affairs › Re: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by EVarn(m): 10:39am On Jun 30, 2015 |
lezz: yes, the French government has tipped Nigeria to lead Africa militarily owing to boko haram challenge. Innoson is would be partnering with India or Russia, not sure which exactly. A very welcome development indeed,Innoson has more financial backbone than even proforce; it would be very interesting to watch these emerging defence companies lobby and compete for government contract and finance. |
Foreign Affairs › Re: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by EVarn(m): 11:59pm On Jun 29, 2015 |
lezz: exactly what the French government said. Already innoson IVM would soon be engaged by the NM for locally produced tanks, artillery and more. French government? Black Jesus!,i've really lost touch with military affairs around the globe these past few months, which i intend to correct. Innoson will be producing tanks?,surely they need to partner with a country that has a strong military complex.I dont think Innoson alone has the expertise required to produce or even design tanks, unless they somehow managed to steal blueprints from Russia. |

Henry240: The Nigerian Army has the Igirigi, this one is different. This is the Proforce ARA MRAP, it is currently been designed by Proforce defence. They are an Armouring company similar to the Streit group or Inkas. However these guys(Proforce) manufacture APCs, Drones, bullet proof vests/helmets as well as armoured patrol boats. The company is currently designing an IFV with a French company. Proforce is indeed a leading defence company in Nigeria,I already guessed that proforce is the company building the MRAP but i had to be sure, before i go out there to boast..hehehehe... Designing an IFV?!,No offence oga mi,but are you certain about your sources? I expected progress, but this is almost extraordinary! If proforce is already designing an IFV within such a short time, then we should be expecting our first indigenous IFV in a few years time. Do you know the plausible components and operational capacity of the proposed ARA MRAP? |
