patches689:See change of tactics!..I thought you claimed that the T129 ATAK-H wasnt worth mentioning? |
stillchris:dont tell me you dont know that the mokopa missile is a modernized guinea fowl hunting projectile....surely you can shoot down a few guinea fowls with the antiquated dud. |
xwolverine:lol @ 'makossa' |
ukemeramat:Yet we hail the visionless leaders who initiated this whole sinister hurricane of continental disaster,we enshrine them as heroes and elevate them to the status demi-gods. I once heard a speech given by Alh. Sir Amadu Bello{Former Premiere of Northern Nigeria},and I was shocked at the religious/tribalist vituperations and incitive statements that composed the bulk of his speech: "The new entity called Nigeria is an estate of our father Uthman dan Fodio...."{an excerpt from the speech given by Alh. Sir Amadu Bello} . This were the people who plunged our continent into the blazing cyclone of destruction and serial backwardness it is today, yet we hail them as heroes |
ukemeramat:An unbiased patriot. Perhaps you could do a fair job of constricting your understandable verbal rebukes to a more secluded medium,But I must admit that it is quite rare to encounter people who are not distracted by misguided attacks against their ideology and personality. |
MikeCZAR:Libya had heavy military tech. but had little trained manpower to properly wield them all. Bombing libya was successful partly because their was a lot of nuclear tipped missiles involved and also because libya didnt have enough manpower to challenge invading forces due to fighting simultaneous wars against local militias, insurgents and renegade islamic cults. No matter how powerful the rafale is,it cannot evade or destroy the S-400 ADM in a dedicated combat. |
agaugust:That was mainly because Isreali army overtly depended on tanks rather than its infantry, most of isreal's 'loss' in battle stems from too many machines but too little infantry on ground for situation awareness. In certain terrains and forts, too many war machines hinder rather than aid battle efforts. That been said, the Isreali military remains the strongest military force in the middle east. |
http://www.premiumtimesng.com/business/182441-nigeria-set-to-resume-oil-search-in-chad-basin-after-boko-haram-defeat.html . . Good news!!,this will further rub hot pepper on idris deby's manhood, afterall i'm sure shekau will have many interesting secrets to spill once he gets captured. |
http://leadership.ng/business/431160/nigeria-needs-aircraft-assembly-plant-expert . . Good to know that someone is thinking beyond the 'oyel money'. Why a country that is constructing hi-tech surveillance drones and hyper-space orbit satellites cannot build 4th generation fighter jets is a question that boggles the mind.Nigeria has the uncanny habit of being able to do huge things, yet lacking the will to set up the most basic innovations{not that a fighter jet is anywhere near basic, but still....I'm not impressed}. |
stillchris:gbosa!,gbosa!!,gbosa!!!,gbosa!!!!... Indeed!,now if only we could seek more cordial strategic military partnership with the west, then surely power will steadily slitter into our palm. We really need to begin an aggressive development of our defence industry and complex, and with substantial assistance from helpful western partners,we will have a super powerful defence structure in a few years. |
Such is the result when a country lacks functioning customs institutions; especially immigration services. Why would any functioning country appear so powerless to purge itself of illegal immigrants and set proper custom policies in place?,why complaining instead of taking decisive actions against alledged "illegal" immigrants? SA is a country that is witnessing an alarming rate of decay in its sociopolitical institutions due to massive greed and corruption. Plagued with visionlessness,a stagnant economy and misplaced arrogance,SA is indeed earning its notorious reputation as "the fading rainbow",a nation buried deep into the oozing whirlpool of violence and mediocrity. SA has lost all of the tattered shred of fickle reputation cloaking it from eternal shame, even countries like Malawi and Zimbabwe are now publicly spitting and sneering at the shrivelled husk of what was formally a great nation built by the Anglophones and Dutch, but now immersed in a never ending state of sociopolitical quagmire. |
agaugust:And the Indians are providing more than enough market through sheer expense and quantity of purchase,India's increased interest in the rafale will also boost global confidence in the capabilities of the jet, especially among eastern and arabic countries where countries are stock-piling weapons as if it is chilled orijin due to ever escalating tensions. As a reward,India is expecting heavy tech transfer;and knowing france's history, they wont be so obstinate for long, not in the face of weapon dollars. At the end of the day, both sides win.symbiotic exploitation. |
Henry120:In the case of India, this overpriced purchase may be a prognosis to India's quest to acquire the french: *top notch nuclear submarines *superior military aviatech *nuclear missile tech and thermonuclear fusion test facility. The best way to do all these is to acquire deep pockets and impress france |
@Henry120 The Rafale can be considered a 'magic' combat aircraft due to its powerful capabilities in battle, western fighter jets are most renown for their superior radar capabilities and avionic configurations, moreso for the rafale which is a flying piece of technology that has held the gaze of the world with its extraordinary performances in modern warfare. Naturally,a 4+ generation capable fighter jet with such a low quantity of production will be very expensive to purchase for any foreign nation. Qatar may be going for the rafale due to the appealing prestige attached to it,but lets not forget that these countries all have ulterior motives to their seemingly wasteful actions, many eastern nations are eyeing the delicious prospect of acquiring tech transfer for the indigenous production of the rafale, while some are even scrambling to acquire extremely ambitious military tech such as nuclear submarines and ICBM technology from france, such nations are willing to pay any amount to realize their quest. |
MikeCZAR:madman |
I would assume you mean 'liberates'. The towns werent ceded by the government of the FRN to terrorist forces of boko haram/Islamic State in West Africa in the first place. BH/ISWA temporarily encroached into those towns on illegal grounds to spread terror and propaganda, therefore we lost NO territory in the first place and hence,it would be an error to apply grave terms such as; "reclaim" or "recapture" to decribe such domestic criminal acts. |

MikeCZAR:what?? |
Nigerian Military totally liberates Gwoza! . http://m.news24.com/nigeria/National/News/Military-announces-it-has-reclaimed-Gwoza-20150430 |
patches689:dismissed |
stillchris:heheh..wetin u expect? @lezz is their special taskmaster, the ruthless tzar of the pandemic nuisance called south africa. lol.If these southies could lay hands on Nigerians on this forum, they would have descended into their typical animalistic mobocratic mentallity and clubbed us to death...but no shaking, naija is severely mouthed!! |
iceberg54:Indeed,such action is an act of espionage and could be termed as an attempt to instigate public unrest or even a declaration of war. Not to mention the international outrage that would ensue if the mission goes awry. Anyway,Indonesia is in for a very rough future. |
There is nothing more the FG could have done to save the Nigerians on the death row in indonesia{except sending in covert intelligence operatives to break them out of jail,a move which would have been highly suspicious and dangerous}; they were caught breaking the law of another land, they had to face the heavy punishment meted out for such an offence in the land. RIP to the dead, may God forgive and grant them an heavenly abode. |
Operatives of the Nigerian Joint Special Forces have captured a Boko Haram HVT today in a snatch and grab operation in Borno. |
kwametut:I can see that you are Shekau's younger brother; you have no coherent thoughts or process of speech. Did i ever claim that Nigeria wasnt named by a British high born?,why then did you feel the urge to splash this thread with unnecessary gibberish about colonialism?. Even an adolescent in basic 2 knows the history of Nigeria. |
kwametut:Somehow,i find that extremely hard to believe.list names of authors who have quoted you as 'credible' source in their phantom books. PS: quit grinning like a lunatic |
kwametut:You have been on nairaland since july 2013,yet you have only come online for a meagre total of 336 hours throughout your 2 years of registering on nairaland. This shows that you only come on this forum to make noise and troll whenever you manage to scrape together a few rands to buy internet data, after months of polishing south african shoes. Ghanaian bigot! |
kwametut:Lol,you cant even spell 'Evarn' correctly. How can i trust you not to bite me?. |
FighterPilot:You dont know anything about the Nigerian military, neither do you understand our diplomatic relationship with neighbouring francophone colonies. It isnt about BH alone, their are other factors playing out underneath the raging brauhaha; which includes resource war and territorial ambition. Our military strength still remains untarnished,it is a diplomatic and military error for us to allow neighbouring military forces to do the job that our military can do ten times more effectively without casualty. |
kwametut:You are just an empty troll. |
kwametut:So you are from west africa?. That begs the question of why you are so consumed with hate. A muslim perhaps? |
