mzilakazi:And a fat lot of good that has done you.... Imagine the crime rate in your country. |
mzilakazi:what of APEX? |
mzilakazi:No sir. You see, skytrax is an independent organization, therefore any rating they give is as a result of independent survey performed within the scope of their capacity.what happens when another independent aviation research organisation swaggers in tommorrow and annouce that after carrying out "independent survey" on 22 million people, they found that kenya has the best airline?,and then another group comes out to denounce former reports and claim that it is most definitely seychelles?. Independent surveys can never be reliable, therefore your awards are only polished pieces of glass. |
mzilakazi:READ MY SOURCE ONCE AGAIN AND YOU WILL SEE THAT EVEN SKYTRAX-WHICH IS AN ORDINARY INDEPENDENT AVIATION RESEARCH ORGANIZATION ANYWAY- GAVE THE ETHIOPIAN AIRLINE AN AWARD AS THE BEST AFRICAN AIRLINE . SKYTRAX SURVEY INDEX ARE PARTIAL,IT IS AN INDEPENDENT ORGANIZATION,THEREFORE ANY AWARD GIVEN ARE ONLY BASED ON INDEPENDENT SURVEY,WHICH BEARS LITTLE WEIGHT ON GLOBAL SURVEY RATINGS. |
mzilakazi:lol, africaranker?,this source is based on the opinion of a consortium of computer geeks!,i was expecting a reliable source like PCA or PSI or APEX or even SKYTRAX. Any m0r0n with a belly full of beer can grab a laptop, create a website and rate somalia as the most peaceful place short of the garden of eden. |
bidexiii:Interesting. At least, more efforts are being made toward tighter Nigeria-West military cooperation. What Nigeria needs now is more heavy assault helicopters from Europe or Russia, especially with the current red alerts insurging in both kaduna and the niger-delta creeks, not to forget the biafran rogues disturbing the peaceful east. |
mzilakazi:Why you slimy little rat,I have half the mind to take you by the scruff of the neck and spank you till you see sense!. Why do you enjoy telling lies?,tell me which african country won the best african airline in 2014? the sources you gave are outdated 2013 reports from an independent aviation research organization,I want a world class internationally approved and reliable source like the one i gave you. PS: keep your namby pamby name-calling to yourself. |
mzilakazi:Ethiopian airlines won best african airline award for two years, and has been rated best african airline for almost a decade now, considering that the organization is still relatively very young. they won APEX,PSI,PCA awards, even SKYTRAX http://profuse-curtain.flywheelsites.com/ethiopian-airlines-win-best-airline-africa-award/ The awards won by the SAA were disbursed according to obscure index survey performed by faceless private/independent aviation research organizations like SKYTRAX. |
mzilakazi:Prove that SAA is the best african national carrier "for many consecutive years". |
DictatorZAR:Shame on you dictator zar..resorting to petty insults and thinly veiled blackmails Nigeria operates on the principle of privatization,we currently do not own a national carrier{mainly because we are sensible enough to decentralize our national airways and allow positive private enterpreneural upgrade},but we have lots of internationally reputable and famous indigenous airlines: Arik Airways,Bellview Airlines,Chanchangi Airlines,Dornier Aviation Nigeria,IRS Airlines etc.. Anyway, contrary to your false claims,Ethiopian airways is currently africa's best national carrier South african airways is a nearly defunct joke. |
DictatorZAR:Ethiopian airways is the best on the continent. |
ROSSIKE:I do not dispute that the reach of the egyptian trade route was very vast, especially on the African continent: But egypt never went beyond the Dakhla Oasis{Djedefre's water mountain}. Their is a clear difference between lone groups of merchants travelling through the sahara and ferrying a whole army across the desert to do conquest, half of that army would have fallen to thirst and desert snakes. The mysterious 'land of Yam' could have been Yamhad- a syrian kingdom that ruled in Halab,in any case,no one knows its true location,Yam could be a province in Sudan. |
DaBullIT:No,it is not. But Africa would have been a better place today if egypt had seized the whole continent in a mighty fist of conquest. Indeed,it would have been inevitable that the continent would break back into different states and federations due to strife after centuries of egyptian domination: History tells us that no empire can ever remain unified after centuries of existence, all empires must rise, decline and then fall{well, except China}.But at least,we would have had civilization and awareness, with greater political stability and military perception. |
mikolo80:The liberation of the Hebrews{later known as jews} from slavery has little impact on the advent of civilization to africa. The Hebrews broke loose and sank an entire horde of the egyptian army in the Red sea, leaving the flank open for the assyrians to exploit, after plaguing egypt with faminine and pestilence, contaminating the nile and setting egypt to civil unrest. We all know the story, but what has that got to do with egypt conquering africa?..lol,how would we remain 'slaves' of egypt in the 21th century, hmm? I believe that africa would have been a better place today if egypt had conquered the continent. |
publicenemy:Egypt had the military..well,ancient egypt did have an unrivaled military strength that would have made Rome quake in its boots if it had lasted. But i agree that they didnt have the strategic perception; if not, they would have marched through the sahara westward to conquer the west african bushmen{later known as bantu tribes} that inhabited west, central and southern africa from Nigeria down through Kitarn to Monomatapa. But they couldnt break the environmental barrier that was the sahara desert. We must also consider that just like Rome,Egypt broke apart due to internal strife and prolonged simultaneous sieges. |
ROSSIKE:Perhaps,or perhaps not. Indeed the egyptians attempted to conquer vast territory; they defeated the ethiopians{axumites and kushites} and made ethiopia a vassal state during the early ages. In fact, ambitious phariohs launched military campaigns, besieging assyrian legions in titanic battles and shattering levantine armies, all the while trying to expand its influence and dominion. But in the end,the greatest hindrance egypt ever encountered was the sahara desert, the egyptian army could not cross the scorching sahara, fearing that their was nothing beyond the useless pile of sand; they didnt believe that their was life beyond the sahara. |
DictatorZAR:lol,no arab league fighting ISIS in iraq?,what do you call jordan's continous airstrikes in iraq and syria?,what do you call saudi arabia's airstrikes in syria and yemen?,what do you call egypt's airstrikes in libya?,what do you call turkey arming the local syrian and iraqi militias to fight ISIS? Have you ever heard of the arab coalition that was formed last year by the US to combat terrorists and dictators in the middle east?.... Sudan will eat your army like noodles! |
Patchesagain:*your eyeballs might just bounce off their sockets if you continue rolling them around like a pair of shrunken japanese potatoes* Your comment is lame, perhaps you have forgotten that it is the arab league that is making the war against ISIS possible, also Bashir is cozy with the house of saud, the dynasty that reigns in Riyadh and controls both the arab world and the oil market. In any case, neither SA nor AU have military capability to invade Sudan.FACT. |
MikeCZAR:UN and AU wouldnt dare launch a 'law-enforcement' military intervention in Sudan for fear of provoking the combine military might of the Arab league of nations.lol,AU does not even have a continental military force! If SA had arrested Bashir....well,lets just say that your troops in sudan would have been massacred and hung on the streets of khartoum to dry,and there would have been nothing anybody could do about it,not even the UNSC. |
Patchesagain:LAME |
MikeCZAR:what is this madman saying.... really,is it jealousy that has you squealing like a leashed pig? |
lionel4power:Who is Jacob Zuma?,nobody takes that mushroom-head illiterate seriously. @topic: i hope mr president urgently lobbies for sophisticated weapons and surveillance technology/intel sharing system{and perhaps military training and support} needed to tackle our current terrorism disturbance. Since Russia has been booted out of G7 and China is a no-go zone, there is a strong possibility that Nigeria could soon become a member of the G7. |
Henry120:hehehehe..see denial! You are mouthed oga mi....was just poking fun at you. Good job on nairaland, your patriotism is very much acknowledged. |
Lezzlie:its quite simple, though it need a little type-setting,i'm gonna post the trick to you soon hehe....@Henry120 has little patience for sharing the secrets behind painted scripts and nursery doddles,i could swear that that man has no sense of humor..hehehehe..always so strict and serious....lol.... no offense oga mi,@henry. |
overhypedsteve:Baba, you are mouthed! hehe....as for my 'grammar',consider it a young man's flare for dramatics. |
Lezzlie:lol, kai!,i no fit laugh......all these fervent requests all because you want to obtain the legendary code to unlock the dramatic mysteries behind painted multicoloured signatures?....hehehehe.... @Lezzlie,I couldnt help but be amused, one would almost be tempted to believe that you are up to some mischief.lol. it been a long while brother.... |
mzilakazi:Of course, their country is crumbling apart!,the only option left for them is to ferry their investments up here to Nigeria.Afterall, they've gotta keep their businesses afloat. Even the west wants to establish Nigeria as Africa's superpower and a powerful international geopolitical ally under Buhari's regime after observing the disturbing trend of events that have unfolded in SA through the years,of late is the FIFA bribery scandal. |
I thought Buhari claimed that he would lead the fight against boko haram "from the front"?,what is he still doing in Abuja?,I expect him to be scrambling helter skelter and gunning down terrorists at the warzone in Borno by now. |
FighterPilot:China is superpower only in SA,certainly not in Nigeria,or in the comity of nations for that matter. it is SA that wags its tail and promises to convert its foreign reserves to yuan,it is SA that has meekly stopped trading with taiwan,it is SA that receives orders from the Chinese seat of power. Clearly you know nothing about Nigeria's maritime capacity,Nigeria builds civilian ships, cargoes and freights,We only need missile, radar and surveillance technology to begin building warships. |
Patchesagain:Below is a report that shows that China is indeed scrambling to build more vessels, including a large number of missile armed OPVs,at an almost alarming pace for the purpose of patrolling and defending its territorial waters: . http://defencetech.org/2014/12/03/report-chinese-navys-fleet-to-outnumber-u-s-by-2020/ . They arent wasting funds on overhyped submarines and economically insustainable frigates.I ask again, why would they build and donate such sophisticated vessels to serve us? Anyway,China is not building our OPVs for us,China and Nigeria are cooperating in the area of technology transfer in the contruction armed seacrafts,China is only contributing 40% while Nigeria is to finish up with 60%,after which we would begin wholly indigenous contruction of large missile-armed OPVs. |
Patchesagain:Only one of your frigates is operational, and your submarines are without battery.Infact, your navy has barely enough sailors to operate half of ghana's naval fleet. It costs you too much to maintain your overpriced, underperforming naval toys, the only option i see is for you to dissolve your navy's blue water capacity in order to allow for a more sophisticated territorial maritime defence. But of course, corruption is your watchword. |
