Some are trained footballers,

Some are born-footballers,

While others play football due to lack of jobs.

Les Cristiano, Les Ronaldo, you are a born-footballer. As far as I'm concerned, there are only two footballers in the world, Ronaldo and the rest.

Barcanista do you agree? Lol tongue

Alright!
Please Bro, you gotta help me out on this. I have a younger sister who doesn't seem to be lucky when it comes to admission matters. Now, we've all decided that she goes to Open Univ. She's an art student, and I guess she prefers Mass Comm. So Bro, in a step by step explanation Sir, what are the steps to be taken to get her admitted into Open Univ?

As in, the procedures to be taken. Amount to be paid, and how to go about everything. Will appreciate your timely response here Sir, cos Dad wants to pay the money as soon as possible.

Lest I forget, she wants to enroll at Lagos study centre.

Thanks in anticipation as I await a favourable response.

This is inspirational and motivating. We also look forward to reading other "oga's" experiences such as GoldenDr, artisticallyart, Sunnypar, Manie, Prof.gday Islamics, Evathyst and et.al
Can't stop laughing. cheesy

What that writer narrated above is more comical than inspirational. Honestly, some interviews could be something else. I could remember the case of our account teacher who was just drinking water intermittently during the course of the interview. U go fear na embarassed

Speaking from my own personal experience, some interviews I goofed big time, some I murdered. But in all, I learnt one or two things. Will give you details later. tongue

No, I just answered your last question which is "is it compulsory to do elective course"
An elective course is not compulsory.
Good day Sir, sorry for quoting you. If you could please help me with a comprehensive list of the courses NOUN offers in their post-graduate school. I'm a graduate of Env Biology and would love to do my Msc in that same field. Been trying to find out if NOUN offers dt course in their post-graduate school. Or better still, if you could help me with the list of courses offered at their faculty of Natural/Biological Sciences o. N:B Post graduate please.

Wil appreciate your timely response. Thanks!

True. Even if you studied shiiit science if you prove yourself worthy and you have what I need in my organization, you are hired
Hired as wat if I may ask? He's talking about courses with relevant applicability here in Nigeria. Plz tell me, what exactly would a Zoology graduate do in this God-forsaken country?

Rather than give pple false-hope, let's just tell dem d reality on ground. It's not tantamount to scaring them per say, but just bracing them up for what lies ahead. My interaction with many so-called 'graduates' during my NYSC days made me realise how f*cked some pple's mentality are. A good number of graduates I spoke to den told me affirmatively that 'they went to school so as to be rich'.

Den I asked one of them who studied Mathematics how his course will lead him to riches assuming he wouldn't teach Mathematics in a sec sch. Na so case take close.

If you are working and you have little time for any other thing, and you want run your masters programme in a reputable federal universty, I'd suggest you choose National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN). Admission isn't as difficult as other top Federal universities, your education won't be hampered by strikes, the fees and total cost of running a post graduate degree there is relatively cheap, you can do it anywhere in the country and whole package no get wahala like other institutions. You also get to meet the best lecturers around in the country there, and if you are a bright and hardworking student, you could finish within a year!

If you still don't fancy this juicy offer, you can come join me in France where I'm currently running my MSC, my masters, APC, Bsc and PHD concurrently. cool

He he he he! Some nairalanders sha. Even when one has resolved not to laff, characters like ds will alwz lighten up one's day.

But on a more serious note Sir, been trying to find out about Open Univ, but it seems they don't offer my course(Env Biology) as a post-graduate course. Any idea of the courses which their post graduate college offers for Faculty of pure science?
