Don't you ever think that there are millions of cute,harmless,dying and poor children praying from their hospital beds...that god will not answer their prayers but will save a pastor driving a benz. you and your god are cruel if you think the pastor deserves to be save because he happens to have divine grace.

We know that the Creator exists in the same way that we know that a building has a builder. No building ever built itself. That's plain common sense. The painting is also proof of a painter, because paintings don't paint themselves. More common sense.

So every person knows that God exists because of creation (Nature). Creation could not have made itself. That's plain common sense:

"For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse…" ( Romans 1:20).

We are saved by grace though faith, and the "faith" spoken of, isn't an acknowledgement that God exists. We already intuitively know that. It's a "trust" in His promises.

As an atheist last years that was all I could see in the bible, a judgmental extreme God who placed man on such a pedestal that was impossible, who could never be satisfied. Which was why I eventually lost belief in Him.

But now I see Him very differently. I see a Loving Father, Friend, Wife, etc all in the same God.
It's a subtle contrast but a major gulf.

You just have to believe first.

The Bible was written and edited by patriarchs ,the verse is sexist and should be taken literally .The book is not perfect and you should not base your knowledge and understanding on it.You wont find female imams either.

This contradicted what was being practised in my church. I felt conflicted. Yet her spiritual impartation and Holy Spirit manifestation in my life and others could not be denied.
I was nearly compelled to confront her about this during a seminar she organised during the Q&A.
Thank God I didn't, it probably would have been wrongly delivered and appeared rude.
I asked around instead but the answers didn't satisfy me. I had to submit to her pastorship all the same in faith because she truly had been instrumental in my spiritual growth.

Eventually I was led to scriptures and our heroes of faith that gave me understanding and assuaged my doubts. Truly Paul's books could be easily misconstrued if intellectually interpreted. Even Peter confirms this. You have to pray for Grace to rightly divide the Truth.

The concept of one god(monotheism) has evolved over time,from primordial polytheism .The description of god(YAHWEH) by Judaism as an eternal ,omnipotent ,timeless being, who is not bound by laws of space or anything at all is the best there is...however the same Judaism ascribe other attributes to the same god that are overly contradictory.i.e that god is good(when god is not good then he works in mysterious ways) ,favors one tribe over another(Jewish Israelis over Palestine- Christians) ,support wars and violence,unleashes plagues and disasters ,established what is moral and immoral, created heaven and earth in six days,gave dominion to human species(we will have gone extinct in the times of dinosaurs/even now, micro-organisms can wipe us all out),created Adam and Eve less than 10k years ago(the human specie is evidently older than that with millions of years),dislikes homosexuals(arguably he created them),wiped the earth by flood(and saved Noah) etc.

This is where atheism stands,against man made religion claiming to know the nature of god and what god wants us to do.This is were the argument is(epistemology). We do not have a problem with deism.
