Bro the depression is really real, I won’t lie I’m taking part in it too same Abuja, I learnt photography saved up money to buy equipments and camera, I ended up selling them cause I wasent getting clients and the gadgets where wasting took an advice from my friend to invest in btc which I did with the money nah that time crypto know say e go crash turn to nonsense, with hope in my heart I kept on pushing learnt programming web dev html css (tailwind) JavaScript, now it’s as if it’s as I learnt it that all the jobs finished I haven’t gotten reasonable offer for a job always nonsense, freelancing is a no go area, Indians have taken over up work and Fiverr making it hard for other people cause they render the same service if not better at the cheapest rate, which is unfathomable as I am like this I’m staying with my parents taking the small small insults being thrown here and there, secretly praying to god and crying myself to sleep that everything will get better ❤️‍� it’s not fucking easy man, THE DEPRESSION IS REAL

I will be 30 next year but look 20 or 22 in stature. Am skinny light and no beads but average height.


I completed my NYSC service last year June came to Abuja January to stay with my uncle whom I believed is well connected in some areas.
I have gone to several interview but at the end it will end up to be job of 30k or 25k which doesn't cover up my transport fare. If I even tell my uncle he will tell me to ignore them.

I got tired of the whole job haunting stuff and interview. Instead of staying idle I used my savings to enrol for web development class (HTML CSS Bootstrap WordPress PHP and My SQL).. Which I completed last week.

Now my problem is this.. I have been worrying,
My plans are falling, I don't want to be depending on anybody, I need to have my own accommodation and cater for my needs myself. So I have been thinking of any state that I can go without the aid of anyone to start life even if it means doing sales boy before I get myself back on track or if there is any company in Abuja that has an IT firm looking for intern...lest I forget I am a graduate of Mass Communication..

If you are good in the aforementioned soft skills Dm me you can make 200k a month i have a lot of contract on WordPress

It's not easy here in Nigeria you better go and learn a soft skill and market yourself internationally.

My broda do not try quitting that job, unless you have a strong backup, no job in Nigeria again, seeing a better paying job in this country is like gulder ultimate search.

Learning one or two IT skills is the way to go, and always think outside the box in this globalized world.

These are tips I apply to myself.

1. Be self reliant.: Never give impression that you can't exist alone or catch fun without your friends, and learn to take care of yourself without depending on people. If u are fond of borrowing..reduce it, and work hard to earn a living.

2. Work on your interest: Get busy, and work on personal goal towards achievement. When u achieve something unexpected, people respect u.

3. Talk less of your secret and plans: Don't reveal everything about yourself or what u are working on. See finish dey cause disrespect. And when u tell people abt ur goals, and if u later dint achieve it, people will see u as irresponsible and lazy...people don't respect such people. Keep ur plans to yasef

4. Don't discuss certain embarrassing moments u had in the past. Some people will judge u by it.

5. Appear neat all the time, and exude confidence, and also carry yourself with some sense of pride....little pride won't kill you.

6. Don't always please people. Yes we like to act nice and be on good books of people...but over time people take u for granted. Sometimes don't give people what they ask for. Don't act nice when they are shit...

7. Don't condone disrespect. Always call out the bullshit of anyone anywhere..don't make it like a joke... treat the Bleep up of people instantly.

8. Reduce ur frequency of laughter with people. Don't laugh to every joke and with everybody

9 Reduce your greetings. Yes some people want u to greet them all the time just to feel themselves. Sometimes, learn to bone/ snub people, and face ur front like someone serious without looking sideways. if they greet u fine...and if they don't, it's not all the time u have to greet.

10. Reduce ur argument and charter when u don't have something reasonable to say especially with people of low mind...

11...Then get a girlfriend if u don't have. Guys also respect u when ladies come around to fvvck u or come around as ur babe

12. Get a job and your personal apartment if you don't have. It will help to project you as a serious responsible perosn

Please I need serious help. I have tried on my own to get a job, no matter how small, with no success so far.
I am so down at the moment, I have no money with which I would have considered starting a business.

With all due respect to ur dad who sacrifice his sweat to feed and cater for u he is no deadbeat. He only wants you to push urself to d next level.try learn driving maybe im two weeks.i don't know if u can get d licence in due time.but if u can work in a construction company in bourdillon let me know, they pay workers 1700 per day ,10,200 weekly maybe u can gather like 70,000 in two months and use it to learn a good skill.as a graduate u might be given preferential treatment like working with surveyor,safety officer,even site engineers.
