18650 Cells - You would have to order new cells from overseas which I think is almost difficult.

Yeah, it's the reason 18650 Powerwall is the thing now. People all over the world are building it.

It comes with a motherboard (pix attached), I suspect the BMS is incorporated into this board.
All the cells are good, if not for the fact that I've been a little busy I would have been done with the testing.

Yeah, the PCB holds the BMS for the cells. Those MOSFETS are BMS components.

Oga Feflo, I'm looking to get a Pure Sine Wave Transformerless type of Inverter, I learnt their idle battery usage is very little compared to Transformer inverters.

I have the Thermocool Optima Series 9200RS. I got it tokunbo at a warehouse. Been using for a while now and it's okay.

The generator is rated 6.5kw (6500watts). there's no problem with everyday home usage like TV, Sound systems, Lights and Fans. Yesterday, I tried using my 2500w-3000w electric jug on it... when I switch the jug power on, my lights starts flickering (the gen is placed far away from my flat) so I don't know what it's sound is like that moment.

I was wondering why the 3000Watts jug would pull the gen.

What could be the problem? Cos I actually got the gen so I can use most of my power guzzling appliances like Microwave, Iron, and Electric Kettle with ease

I do use my washing machine on the gen very well and I don't see any light dim when I power it.

Anyone to suggest an inexpensive way to desulphate 12v battery?

Who has done a APC 650 Conversion please should help point the cooling fan positive spot. For several hours, I searched and couldn't pin it.

Thank you for the respond. It is a built setup. The owner wants to sell it. According to him. He usually use it with two trailer batteries. My delimna now is I don't know the rating and the right price to buy it from him. According to him the made in Nigeria setup both serve as inverter and charger to charge the batteries. Attached is more pics.

Is there a way i can know the ratings. What equipment is required?

The unit is a APC 600 UPS tho with some modifications already done... I saw it today when I went to get the 650.

Stop wasting money on inverter battery charger and build yours.

Build something like this by yourself, 12v-24v battery charger. So simple than you think

Yeah, I really commend him for that. At least he could give courage to people who could do it themselves, and he still gets his client - makes his money. All other ones would only want to make money from EVERYONE. Ask them for an idea to do something, they ask you to contact them privately so they can tell you it's comes for a price.

Hello Feflo. Please could you explain what a converted UPS is? is it just a UPS with jumped battery wire to a Bigger battery?

I have a 2200VA Blue Gate UPS and would be glad if I can make an Inverter out of it.
