Guyman02:Then, at this point we must ask, what is more important for us now as a country? Is it Jonathan's chances or our country's future? I agree with you on the point that such SNC's are usually attended by the SAME OF THE SAME. The perpetual political knockheads who have drag this country into dejected misery. That is what we must fight against. |
Ileke-IdI:He was moonstruck by love nwa tin tin. ![]() |
You guys should take it easy on the OP. When i initially saw his post, i was happy, not because of what he said, but because Hausa-Fulani has been virtually non-existent on this forum. I was glad to see him representing. Anyway, i'll surely miss kilishi if Hausa-Fulani goes. ![]() |
EzeUche0:I doubt if Nigeria can afford to go back to that. I dont even see it as a last resort either. However, regional governments would have gone a long way to address the complaints of various groups and subsequently attended to them internally without attracting national attention. But that was the good old days. A well-constituted and clear cut SNC would still suffice in the current political structure we have. Like i said earlier the purpose of any SNC must be clearly defined. It should be seen as not a means to an end. The NASS as we know it now is quite disconnected from the common people it represents. The recommendations of the SNC would bridge up this vacuum if clearly defined and the conference itself should not seen as a solution to our national problems. The NASS can then take over from there to put the SNC suggestions into laws. |
jason12345:No, jason is a nice kid, not an old foe. Jay, what's happening in delta concerning the Asaba International Airport? Also, did you learn Yoruba or it's natural for an Itshekiri to speak it? |
I have one phrase for all y'all. YOU ARE ALL LOVELY SYCOPHANTS. If you cant stand criticism of your hero, go hang. |
This is usually a prelude to 'operation rigging' a la OBJ. I'm for once happy with the NASS for not allowing themselves to be used. We need to pre-empt this kind of unfair moves lest we contradict all what we are trying to achieve. |
I still believe that those groups calling for SNC may not be on the wrong side of the tracks after all. The problems facing Nigeria due to our heterogeneous composition are beyond what the constitution at present can address. The constitution had been prepared on the assumption that we are one united and cognate entity, comprising people who think and reason the same way, making it more in touch with illusion than with reality. What i would suggest is that the SNC can still be called on the premise that it is not a means to an end. It should serve as a platform where the more practical needs of our society can be itemized and thereafter taken to the NASS to be fully embodied into our laws. In this way, we'll avoid the usual deadlocks that are associated with such national gatherings and the representatives will know that the occasion is not for plundering of our resources. This is what the president should have advocated for. Lets not pretend that we have no problems and continue lying to ourselves. |
jason12345:What plans are there to make electricity tariffs more affordable to the average person? |
What children need is healthy foods. Not junks. |

Freewilly:In addition, Enugu needs a state of the art railway system for its coal industry to boom. The existing network should be expanded in such a way that it links the paper, iron and cement manufacturing industries located around the country and a new port different from Port Harcourt should be built for it's export. Enugu stands alone as the only significant source of coal in the whole of West Africa. It's a shame that the Nigerian government is not taking advantage of this untapped wealth by exporting to industrialized countries countries where there's high demand for this product, but instead is concentrating only on crude oil. Is it because it is located in a 'vanquished territory'? |
Aren't there supposed to be security operatives guarding this vessel? If no, why so? It's because we are too lax in this country, that is why these kinds of incredible stories abound. If it were China, some people would have been preparing to visit the hangman after a thorough investigation. |
Fools. Reduce tariffs on imported parts or on electricity bills? Classic white elephant projects. |
Hopefully to turn a new leaf too. |
Taking that bill to the National Assembly in the first place was unnecessary and aimed at promoting personal interests and unfair advantage. I'm not surprised at the outcome. |
Why are u lookin for one thingI can see your signature that you are one of them. But to remind you a little. He has never been president. But at least in the capacity he served he did credibly well. I not even concerned about him per say, what i'm trying to point out is the GJ should not be carried away by the calibre of people from this zone who are 'supposedly' giving him support. |
Ohakim is even more performing than Udenwa, who is criticizing him. Udenwa should take a back seat. He cant claim to be a saint overnight. |
Onlytruth:Thank you my brother, I wondered why he left these names out. FYI, GJ might just be the SAME DIFFERENCE with the old order. I still have my doubts on him which still refuse to go. What is one thing he has done that he can be assessed on? Even his overblown hype on constant power generation was dead on arrival from the word GO. I still see the core NORTH not yet giving up. With the way they are scheming to push forward a consensus candidate in the person of Gusau, a much more credible personality than their initially presented materials(IBB and Atiku), they might just take Jonathan to the cleaners. It's not yet uhuru until the PDP primaries is fought and won. |
~Bluetooth:Then he's no longer a bas.tard. If he can identify his father's house, that means he knows his father. |
You should have known by now that aloy.emeka is a clown. You even have time replying her. |
Ujujoan: ![]() Sis, chillax. A brother is just trying to have fun. Give him some welcome. I think i need to check out was going down in romance section, been quite a while. i'll be back. |
jennykadry::-D. Heya. No mind me. i just say make i leave politics for this week and catch fun with you guys for here. Na the way wey we dey argue for that side. On the more lighter side, treating women as queens brings out the best in them. |
wesley80:Dude, it seems you do nothing else here than talk about Jonathan. How much did he pay you? ![]() |
jennykadry:Stone Age woman! Shared responsibility should start from the first date. I'll respect a woman more if i take her on a date and she insists that she goes dutch with me. Ofcourse, i'll not allow her do that but it will create a lasting impression of her on me that she's not just one of those hungry chicks. Western women have for quite a long time been in this kind of mentality, but the african woman, especially some naija babes, are still conservative instead of being progressive. I may be so rich that money burns a hole in my pocket, but i'll have my a55 in gears for a woman that doesn't give a heck about my money. That's my kind of woman. As a personal principle, I usually dont do broke women too. |
naija_diva:Do you understand Igbo when it's been spoken? Because if do, with a little practice, you can learn how to read it. It's more simpler to read than English, since most words are pronounced the way they are spelt. I was never taught Igbo in school nor raised in Igboland. But since i could understand the language when spoken, i practiced with some Igbo literature and today i can write Igbo. I will never allow the same happen to my kids. A part of their schooling must be done in Igboland. |
deniyor: Ujujoan:Cut his coat according to his size, while you watch and sip lemonade. Marriage and all that comes with it is a responsibility which cuts both ways. A man should not throw himself off a cliff because he wants to get married. A woman should provide for half of that cost and stress. I'm glad a large chunk of woman, like Inked nerd, are not buying into this idea of yours. I might be considering joining the priesthood. This is the 21st century for pete's sake! Wake up. |
Ujujoan:Says which law or which culture? Being old enough does not automatically=having money in your pocket. Life is not fair sometimes, my sister. Have you ever heard of the phrase 'being in one's poverty days'? Life is like a merry-go-round. You might be broke today and be rolling in wealth tomorrow. I'm not advocating that a man should be lazy and visionless. Dont get me wrong. |
