Charly68: PDP should constitute a think tank ,the journey is still far, they are just starting the race of opposition..it is not an easy thing but it could interesting if they know the game very well..APC will stretch the party to spend their acquired wealth for the past 16 years on opposition game, the battle has started from two rich states they have as financial base.. Staunch pillars may be put under serious investigations to keep them distracted & deflate their confidence ..The loss of power at the centre is indeed a big loss..those who thought Dr Jonathan would be the only loser has really made a big mistake..I will advice they visit the south west politicians to learn the rudiments of opposition politics . There is nothing to learn from South West in terms of politics because majority of the people are gullible in an attempts to respect their traditional ruler and political godfathers. But here is the South South, a lot of calculations are made based on antecedents and integrity. Once this is made, it becomes difficult if not impossible to change even in the face of fierce intimidation. |

Alezy: Your saying this because u just like PDP generally. I want u to sit aside for once without been biased. I Want u to view from a normal man, not belonging to any party.
Had it been u were in Rivers during this election, u wont have a doubt it will be cancelled cos that was clearly not an election. I was a witness from atleast 3 polling units around my area, I saw what happened.
If Wike must be a Governor of rivers, he should win without thugs oppression n military backing. afterall he has lot of supporters, I kw that. Like you've said, looking at it from the point of view of one on the fence, one will be compelled to ask you these questions: WAS THERE A DIFFERENT ELECTION FOR THE STATE HOUSE OF ASSEMBLY? WHY DID THE TRIBUNAL NOT OVERTURN THE RESULTS OF THE STATE ASSEMBLY ELECTION? Waiting for your response |

Of course she will dance to, at least enjoy the loots they have amassed and suppress all the financial infractions in the interim for easy admission of her crooked husband into already failed federal executive council. But like a joy of the wicked that lasts a moment, their days of agonies are eminent and not even the brown envelope Judiciary can save them. |

ziccoit: 1. By paying the religion leaders that means the government would be able to regulate his activity. A Pastor/Imam can not just wake up from wrong side of his bed preaching hate message. The message would have to be channeled through some recognized body who are going to vet it and release it to the public.
2. There is no crime in making religion study compulsory at primary and secondary level of education. By having knowledge of dos and donts of my Neighbour religion would ensure harmony, peaceful coexistence and mutual respect.
3. Yes. Free range method of rearing is the course of communal clashes between the cattle farmers and their host community.
4. BH doesn't represent Islam.
So, it depends on how you view what he said. I believe he makes sense. BH is a product of Islam in Nigeria, and until we accept the reality, it will continue to hunt us. |

As for me, the greatest problem of Nigeria is religion particularly island which believes in jihad, and therefore turned northern Nigeria to a war zone in a bid to practice a section of the religion.
One doesn't need a soothsayer to understand that more will become radicalized, if it's made compulsory and more deadly attacks will spread to other parts of Nigeria.
It's on record, that the Government of Nigeria spends 80% of her annual incomes to service recurrent expenditures thereby creating a huge backlog on infrastructural development. As it is today, the government has no knowledge on how to term this enemy of infrastructure, and a potential minister is recommending the use of the remaining 20% or more to pay religious leaders, what a country with people who are not fair to her, even when she made them whom they are! |

Trixxxy: May God help us all. Can someone just tell me why Nigerians like dragging themselves backwards? Look at almost everyone here. At this critical stage in our lives, our children's inheritance is at stake, lives are being lost, land being wasted, children being orphaned, mothers becoming childless widows, men losing their families and lives, children being raped and contacting all sorts of diseases; all some people can do is to insult the President, our own President!!, antagonise and curse. We are all supposed to be full of whatever prayers we can summon for our beloved country but no, we'd really rather just keep making stup!d mouth and cursing and all. If we don't respect our own President, who will respect us. Insofar as we are all still Nigeria, we are in this together and there is no escaping the bond that keeps us together.
We are freaking doing ourselves and until we begin to show the government support then there's no moving forward for us. Nigeria is our homeland for the love of all that is holy!! All that is being done is for our own good. If there is destruction in our land, we will be the ones to pay, the everyday people. I just wish we would all see that and try not to put ant more barriers between ourselves than there already are.
*sigh This your sermon is rather late. You ought to have started it during GEJ administration and not now that minds are already made up. |

Payments were made together with huge promises of oil wells and contracts to rebrand already battered image of the party and its presidential candidate by some power hungry sonspirators. Promises were too good to be ignored, and so both the local and foreign media houses struggle to make impacts in bringing down the former government in Nigeria for a juicy package. The tempo has to be sustained to avoid renege accusations, even in the face of economic recession, growing number of unemployed youths, lack of policy direction, no drastic steps or investments in power and refineries, which could affect the enforcement of the terms of the agreement. It takes little or no efforts to sell such evil ideas to particularly Nigerian youths who most of the time exhibit thoughtlessness in political issues that require painstaking. This is because they get satisfied at such news coming from a foreign media, meant to cover up international conspiracy against Nigerian society. All will fail! |
