Family › Re: Today's Experience Changed My View On Domestic Violence by Excellentmind: 8:41pm On Sep 17, 2017 |
Evaberry: very few men are victims of domestic violence. Women always bear the brunt of a man's anger
No matter what a woman says or does, a man should never hit her, a man is physically stronger than a woman so hitting her will inflict serious physical damage, whereas a woman may not cause any real harm to a man.
Op the husband in your write Up should have quietly left the compound and go relax somewhere until he was sure his wife had calmed down. when a woman is angry she throws all reason and caution to the wind, it therefore falls on the man to be understanding and reasonable
Engaging in a fisticuffs with a woman is wrong and should be condemned. If a woman knows she has no power to fight, why instigate it? When a married woman throws reasoning to wind as a result of anger, then she is prepared for the worst and that she will get. There is no amount of self control that can be applied here because she has crossed the line. Is woman exempted from exercising self control? Just display your unruly behavior and get beating in return. |

I think it depends on the side of one's divide. Those promoting marriage is not for everybody might be children borne out of wedlock or from broken marriages, who will never see anything good at marriage, which could be due to their orientation about marriage or life mistakes they have refused to acknowledge and let go; while those in support of marriage might be children from good homes whose parents live and raise together. Ask for me, marriage is honourable. It brings much more honour to women than men. God is interested in marriage because it's an honourable way of recreation and that is why the Bible says that he who finds wife finds a good thing and obtains favour from God. |

tbliss22: Madam keep quiet and take ur agitation of secession to Aso rock for proper referendum. Life itself has alot of choices in it, and I see why buhari can't cut u people off from Nigeria immediately.
The clergyman only gave a word of advice for only the wise amidst you guys. We are sick and tired of all these nonsense, pack ur load and leave Nigeria once and for all.
But have it at the back of your mind that what dignifies a group of people who felt cheated within a country is to wisely work out a strategy to get what rightly belongs to them legitimately. not running away like a crazy COWARD.
When independent was given in 1960, leadership wasn't reserved for a particular tribe, but each geographical zone fought for it to have it. Yorubas, Hausas, Niger Deltans and some other tribes have gotten that leadership mantle to rule Nigeria not because they kept quiet or felt inferior but because they are fully in the circle.
If the big wigs in Igbo politics are fully determined with campaign speeches devoid of Biafra, I see no reason why an Igbo man can't win 2019 presidential election.
Let me ask one question here, if the Igbos finally gets Biafra what happens again if some sections within biafra feels cheated again? Will there be another division or secession?
I hope the Biafra agitators are ready? Because heads will role and innocent blood will spill.
We are YORUBA, omoluabi with divers cultures and traditions. We get involve fully in the politics of Nigeria and that's why we can never be marginalized. This secessionist issue has been going on in Nigeria even when Mr Matthew Obasanjo was the president, and it has met with one form of resistance or the other. Therefore, how do you want them to take the matter to Aso Rock? Are suggesting that those living in Aso Rock are not aware of the agitation? Or are you saying that the agitation is not wild enough to attract the conducting of a referendum? And I put it to you that the popularity of Biafra cannot be tested in a referendum because Nigeria will lose, hence the application of all forms of repressive measures to suppress the agitation. As for you, the clergy man gave a piece of advice because you think it favours your views, regardless of whether it is in the interest of the majority of the people involved or otherwise. In case you don't know, this matter is beyond 'pack your load and leave Nigeria' like you just stated from your comfort zone. It will also interest you to know that not every group adopts evil strategy for political gain in a fraudulent contraction like Nigeria. Mind you, Nigeria is not worth dying for! Biafra agitation is not about leadership of Nigeria, but solely for freedom and independent. This was well demonstrated within the thirty months of civil war which Nigeria would have lost if not the foreign powers that came to her aid. That is because your interpretation of the agitation is the feeling of denial of opportunity to occupy the Aso Rock by the Igbos. But emphatically, I dare say that you are wrong because it is a good fight for freedom. You don't need to ask such question; the problem is off your shoulder. It will become their problem and solving it might cost them nothing; after all they had leaved together for years before the fraudulent amalgamation. Niether head will roll nor innocent blood spill if Nigerian Government takes the path of honour devoid of repression and conducting of a United Nations supervised referendum to determine the fate of Biafra. That will amount to living in deception because there is already a vivid division in the so called alliance with Fulani extraction and only the wise will see it fading away with this generation of old ex-military men. Biafra is an ideology that will never die until referendum is conducted. |

Let the igbos know that once the common enemy is gone, cold war will ensue between agitating parties. Why worrying about the war after realisation of Biafra? In fact this whole hate speech thing actually started with him but that does not justify d arewa hate speech though. no matter how outrageous d bail conditions were, d point is that he saw them, read them, understood them, had professional advise from his counsel, family and friends regarding d conditions and he eventually accepted them.if he felt d bail conditions were going 2 further infringe on his rights he should have rejected them.nelson Mandela was at various times offered many opportunities 2b a free but he turned them down cos he wanted unconditional freedom. So was Aung san sun kyi who was offered freedom that infringed on her rights several times but she chose to remain under house arrest for 21years. they ended up writing his name in gold.u can't eat ur cake and have it.he cant say d bail conditions are an infringement on his rights yet he accepted it.who is he deceiving? You have just cited cases in few sane societies where no one is above the law, but unlike Nigeria where certain sections are above the law. This, of course has made your view no option. Already, the bail conditions are being challenged because of its deliberate efforts to infringe on his rights without justifiable reasons. |

Sagay212: Kanu's arrest will only polarize the atmosphere in the the east. They will protest and destroy their own properties and probably kill themselves. They can also attempt extinction if they decide to take their madness a step further by crossing their region to look for wahala in other regions. And you can follow him to court to tell the judge that telling people to kill hausas and yorubas who ask about biafrau.d is not a crime. telling ipod pigs to attack yoruba pastors is not a crime because the orders have not been carried out. I feel your pains, but Biafra agitation is too late to be stopped. No amount of mudslinging, brutal force, suppression, repression will stop the agitation because it's a good fight for freedom. It's just that your heart is still hardened to accept reality of wildfire of Biafra burning like hell fire and increases in its flame every second. Oh yes! He will be judged and punished; he will face the consequences of his actions. He has not violated any law as far as the United Nation charter on human rights exists. The fraudulent paper referred to as 1999 constitution, which you are hell bent to protect provides citizens with the right to withdraw their citizenship any time they so desire. So, it's not a crime to withdraw one's citizenship within a country and ask for self determination, which Kanu and his people are actively doing and they must be allowed to go. |

Sagay212: Telling people to donate money to buy weapons to fight against Nigeria is not a crime? Telling igbos to kill any yoruber or hausa asking about biafra is not a crime. telling igbo youths to attack yoruber pastors that come for crusades in the east is not a crime? When the FG is ready, they will pick him up like a common criminal that he is and he will be locked up. you ipods will make noise for one week and go back to your business. whatever trouble you will make will be in your region. any attempt to export your madness to other regions will be met with brute, force and fury. All you have just listed are no crimes as no one has been attacked on account of all you listed. People have been making more grievous utterances in all the regions without any vilifications nor heeding the calls for arrest. The rearrest of Kanu will certainly polarize the already tensed atmosphere and quickens the actualisation of Biafra. Therefore, incarceration and brute force will never suppress the agitation. |

lexy2014: KANU was released on bail and certain conditions were attached to d bail. KANU agreed 2 those conditions. he should have kept his own side of d bargain. Its obviously wrong what he did. Should d arewa youths b arrested 4 their hate chants? Definitely yes. But their arrest isnt part of kanus bail conditions In the first instance, asking for self determination is within his right and so doesn't amount to crime to warrant arrest. But he was arrested, not because he committed any crime, just out of hatred for his people and his audacity to dare the Government asking for the freedom of his people. As if the injustice was not enough, the court slammed him with outrageous bail conditions that further infringed on his fundamental human rights and you expect him to not to renege. |

vic224real: A broke man don't have right to erection!
I think is high time our ladies should start placing values on what I called "SELF ESTEEM, SELF-DEFENSE, & SELF DECIPLINE" and respect their woman hood. No man in his right senses, matured both in looks and mind, responsible, and have the fear of God would want to use you and dump you or molest you and assault you if you have worked on your self from the inside.
We hear pathetic stories everyday about how some ladies are been treated by some of these so-called beasts who called themselves men. Some of these ladies end up being beaten, raped, and even lost their lives in the process all in the name of what they called "Relationship".
ENOUGH!!!
Ladies please don't be too fast to involve your self into any relationship or try to replace your ex with a new guy just because you don't want the gap to be there. If you broke up with a guy and you want to start a fresh relationship with another guy, please take quality time to study and at least know some major things like how much he love God, who are his friends, where he hang out, some of the things he likes and don't, where he spend most of his time, and most especially his financial capability before commuting your precious life and time with him.
I know some of you will be asking " How can one know all of these qualities before getting into a relationship with a guy? "Yes,you are very correct! Its not possible to find out all of these because some would hide their true PERSON in order to achieve what they want at that particular time but then believe me, its possible if truly you take your time. Any guy that doesn't give you enough time to decide, let him go! It your life we are talking about here.
In as much as there are lots of " beast men" out there we still have lots of good ones amongst them. Yes, believe me good men still exist. What you need is quality time to decide.
No broke man have the right to erection! If you are broke, then remain where you and work on your self first before deceiving a lady in to your trap. Why am I saying this? It is because some of these heartless broke men use some of our ladies the way they want it and even leave some miserable for the rest of their lives. Please ladies, this is a little advice from a concerned heart to you.
Try them and you will enjoy the most envious relationship ever!!
Remain blessed! A Gold Digger! |
