Politics / Re: 10 Things Nigerians No Longer Talk About by executioner27: 7:07am On Aug 17, 2017
IdeyFindWife:
Why talk when fellas like me are profiting more from your desperation and depressed economy? It may seem like some spot of smug gloating but that is just the sad fact of life kiddo, an economy in recession always comes with its own paradoxes not excluding new nouveau riche kids on the block making megabucks evolving thus via providing current solutions to the contemporary challenges assailing their societies plus the already rich dads and bucks'd-up dudes who simply get positioned to get richer while the poor get poorer...and many more.

Anyways, you were warned before you casted your votes, the only option left now is for you to get your hustles on. In the words of Napoleon Hill, "Think And Grow Rich" otherwise it's scampering time for you. Better scamper well or no food for you....

It's high time every one still sleeping woke the furk up. The system is furked, the polithiefcians are furkers, the royal fathers are sorting themselves, the public servants are doing their thing, the only people left are the masses. It's time to jump-start the real economy of the nation, at least what's left of it till we all break the furk apart but till then it's every man for himself and you better be ready to think-Up, Skill-up, Work-up and Connect-up till you're all Bossed-Up!

Choose your finances over Facebook, Invest less of your time on Instagram etc if it's not contributing to your revenue stream. Leave this phenomenon of spending all your life out here on NL/FB etc hunting for 'Likes' and 'Shares' instead of adding real marketable value to your lives. No two ways this recession is ending except for some becoming mega-rich while the rest end up super-poor even the middle-class is fast fading. Make your choice and Get on your Grind!

NL itself aint halfbad if you'd spend more time on Investment threads instead of tribal bitchings upandan like some brainless lost-soul mofo that most are. Nigerian youths have inherited the "OC-Complaints" Gene and can complain for Africa, don't join them. You can make a million excuses or a million Naira. You don't need money alone, you need ideas, vision, strategy. Use your hunger positively, change your circle of naysayers and let your dreams drive you! And if you can't hack it at all. Start making plans to leave this hell-hole. You might be surprised what you'd be able to do just across the border alone.

Am all out furks to give for moaning about the Nigerian situation. These political bitches aint solving noboby's problems but their own. And for any other thing, you can expect them to be late to the party as usual. So it's all on you now. It's all on you. Nigeria's fukcd already but you still got you. Don't let yourself down!

Oga way dey find wife, do you even get the point being made? The person who started this topic probably makes more money than you. It's not about the economy being bad or no money or job. It's about our our economy, politics, social living etc all being a lie. We cannot trust or believe anything. The system is shutdown that nothing will work. Caught kidnappers, to what end? How are they prosecuted? Any jail or execution verdict? Looters nko? People that promised electricity in 6 months but zip till today. What's going on? None payment of N18K minimum wage for, and so on. It's a free for all wifefinda. It's just a couple of things away from having an anarchy in this country. Chill please.

Food / Coca-cola Changes Coke Zero To A New Drink by executioner27: 7:16pm On Jul 26, 2017
If you like your Coke Zero exactly the way it is now, it might be time to start stockpiling cans of sodas.

On Wednesday, Coca-Cola announced that it would stop selling Coke Zero in the US in August, replacing it with a beverage with a different recipe, design, and name: Coke Zero Sugar.

"It is a reinvention of Coke Zero," CEO James Quincey said in a call with investors.

According to Coca-Cola, Coke Zero Sugar is closer to the taste of Coca-Cola Original. However, with zero sugar and zero calories, the drink also appeals to customers who are seeking lower-sugar options.

Coke Zero is already a major hit outside of America, with growth figures reaching the teens. In the US, Coke Zero sales grew 3.5% in 2016, compared to Diet Coke's drop of 1.9% in the same time period.

Jobs/Vacancies / Re: The Almighty 'can We Meet You?' Question. by executioner27: 11:25am On Jul 09, 2017
What is the meaning of 'can we meet you'? Nigerians can be funny. The person asking this question is probably a boss and would be livid if your response is sarcastic. And the ignorant boss does not want to take corrections. What is wrong with asking 'can you tell me about yourself'? Or simply 'tell us/me about yourself'?

The important question is:"why this seemingly fine and sexy babe CANT get a good man to date/marry, and instead needs the help of social media?"

The question to your answer is.....or is it he answer to your question.....well..no man is good enough for her. When she was building her business men would have been a distraction. Now she is built, none would be good enough. None would even come close because she would have high demands and expectations. There are only two kinds of men that can have her or she can have....1) Gold diggers would would pretend and even take all kind of shit thrown at them and 2) Men who would not mind to be the kitchen men. What I mean is the background existing men.

Kwankwaso really rubbishes the SE with this statement. So the whole SE is so small that the land igbo occupied in the north is now bigger than the whole SE. What an Insult!

You are just a trouble maker. A negative warped fella. So in all that the Senator said, what you picked was size of land in Kano & the entire SE? You are a cruel Biafra agitator.

The truth is, the bigger the scorpion, the less poisonous it. Unlike snakes. Surely, the sting will be painful but less poisonous. The tiniest of the scorpion, is the deadliest.

Scrooge:

Why don't you look up the definition of the word antivenin before responding ignorantly? Antivenin or Antivenene is a biological product (antiserum) used in the treatment of venomous bites. It contains antibodies against specific poisons especially those in the venom of snakes.

To make it easy to understand, It's me saying to the op, "give your dog Panadol", and you replying "Paracetamol you mean".

Ignorant!

That wasn't necessary. Him that even asked would have just continued with a solution than asking. Or you would have laid it out simply. Me too thought you meant antivenin until you schooled me. Not sure I would want to be in your class as one of your students.

Most of the fines are outrageous given that the minimum wage is #18,000.
#30,000 is almost twice as much the minimum wage and the agencies in charge of enforcing these laws will definitely use it to impoverish the populace more#MyOpinion

Truly,it's not about the fine. The stress you will go thru to pay that fine. In between those line of x Naira fine, your vehicle would have been impounded. Then you have opened ways for them to check your car and particulars. I bet you, what started as a N30K fine......You do end up paying up to N150K. It could be less if you know someone somewhere. Best bet....Settle your case there. Give that gift. I didn't say offer. GIVE. Remember that Bible verse that says settle your quarrel before you are taken to the court.

90% nigerian items in shoprite?? Except no be shoprite I don visit. Yes they do have some made in nigeria, but it no where 90%. probably about 40-60%, usually items like fresh food products and some consumables.

OK. Maybe i have exaggerated a little. But they have up to 80% but far more than 60%. Boss, give your country some credit. I know we are an import dependent country. One of the condition given to shoprite to operate in Nigeria is to stock at least 80% Nigerian products. And that they have kept to. Your argument may be looking at those dairy products we dont know how to produce here but look beyond that...its Nigeria.

Our govt always commissioning Shoprites and malls that will sell us 95% foreign goods. . .
I await the day they will start commisioning malls targetted at displaying tax free local goods. . .
We celebrate malls and not factories, astheatics and not features. . .
When we buy foreign goods we indirectly pay a foreign labourer. . .
When we buy foreign goods we indirectly buy foreign raw material. . .
When we buy foreign goods we indirectly buy a foreign patent. . .
When we buy foreign goods we indirectly pay a foreign economy tax. . .
When we buy foreign goods we directly pass our capital to a foreigner whose less likely to pass it back to us. . .
Promote, support and buy Naija-made goods . . .

This is soooo not true. Go and do your home work proper. Shoprite sells at least 90% Nigerian items. Households to toiletries to provisions. Even the furniture is Nigeria. Carpenters with finesse make them furniture.

One the Nigerian being the owner of a chain store...like someone mentioned...we never loot oil and politics money finish. However, we have the likes of Ebeano and De Prince both in Lagos (Igbo Brothers), we also have Addide (my brother too. but may not be Igbo)...but sadly these Nigerian retail stores stock foreign products. Look at their products u will see the container itself having prices in pounds. you will also notice UAE made items clearly. These r where we have the 95% foreign. Not in Shoprite.

Then...y is this Owerri shoprite feat being given to Okorocha? is he d one that told them to come. This ppl made their bizness survey. The best the governor may have done is to sell or lease the land to them. if the land isnt privately owned. its not Rochas that brought them...dont even bring him in. Just leave him at that cutting of tape to open the shoprite.

Science/Technology / Re: Python Killed In An Oil Company In Delta State Today by executioner27: 7:26pm On Mar 17, 2016
Very vigilant workers ke? This is a Python nah...its harmless. Where I come from we don't kill them. We simply push them away and let them be and it lets us be as well. It brought its head up because it was disturbed by the work noise. Besides this village or where I come from BS...do we have to kill and eat or just kill every? These are endangered species and their survival means a lot to mother nature. There is always one rare animal or reptile being killed and show cased on NL. Let's preserve nature.

igwegeorgiano:
Women, they say are necessary evil that the men folks should learn to put up with for whatever reason we should. apology to all decent women out there.

My very good friend is in tears right now and has mandated me to write his ugly love life experience for the world to read. yeah things like this happens every other day and it takes the grace of the Almighty to survived it especially when everything that concerns you is woven around it.

My friend met his wife to be 5 month ago in one of the new generation churches in portharcourt . after the church service on this lovely day, my friend offer to drop her off at home. one thing led to the other they started courting with the understanding that there will be no sex till the night of their wedding.

That settled, they decided that every meetings will be at eateries or the church premises and this was the case untill last month January when preps for the trad and church wedding came up. both agreed that the traditional and church wedding should be done the same day.

On the night before the wedding my friend sent his driver to collect his ATM cards from his fiance who he actually lodged in an hotel somewhere in town. his driver got there, met the lady alone in the hotel room and delivered her fiancee message to her. the lady immediately, as though under a spell started undtessing herself and pleading with the driver to have her. without a second thought, the driver obliged her and the banging sessions commenced. they were still at it when the mother in-law opened the door without knocling and without their notice.

The mother in law stood there for a while watching a live porn movie btw her son's wife to be and his driver. Whe she made her presence known in yhe room after about five minutes, the lady was like "mummy its not ehat you think i can explain, its was the devil work" . she called her son to come over immediately. she narrated what she metvon arrival to her son. he inquire tovknow the truth from his babe which she admitted but blamed it on witches from her village.

The wedding has been called off and my friend is still soaking himself with tears and alcohol. He has swore never to have anything to do with any woman again in his life. Fellow NL are very wise and intelligent advisers. What do you think this young man should do especially in the aspect of loving again. he has actually mandated me to put is number so he can be reached to enable him receive advise from anyone who get to read his story.

Here is the number 09024809547. thanks as you called to advise a trouble soul.

I think this is fabricated….one of those Dear Bunmi stories. But for NL brother and sister hood….here are my comments.
1. Why did they have to meet only in eateries? They are both adults and have agreed to not do until marriage. Can’t they control themselves? Why not have home visits and occasional sleep overs even if na one night?
2. Yes they agreed not to do but I think they should have tried to test boundaries. Know each other’s touch. I am an avid advocate of abstinence but some things are necessary. The harm has been done already, in case of next time.
3. The obvious thing to do is move on. Devil or evil spirit probably entered the girl. ‘your friend’ should pick up and find love again. It’s not easy but he should do it. Mid-year, not now.

A MAN SHOULD EARN AS MUCH AS HIS VISION FOR MARRIAGE OR LIFE SUPPORTS BEFORE HE BRINGS IN A WOMAN............... WOMEN SHOULD NEVER BE BROUGHT INTO POVERTY OR SUFFERING IN THE NAME OF MARRIAGE UNLESS THE VISION IS WHAT WILL KEEP THEM AND PRACTICAL ENOUGH TO MAKE HER ENDURE....TILL THINGS CHANGE.

MANY HAVE BEEN DECEIVED INTO MARRIAGE AS THO ITS PUME, IF YOU DO NOT HAVE THE CASH TO MARRY KEEP LOVING EACH OTHER AS SINGLES OR DO NOT DATE AT ALL.. PERIOD

I kind of disagree with u. When a man is ready he should go ahead, as long as he has a job that brings in steady money. He just has to avoid elaborate wedding. That is what usually kills the couple even some big bois and gals.Simple wedding, low key, pack ur things and go home.Rather than spend 3-5m on a 4 hrs event.Hogwash!!! Save half the money and still keep some ppl happy.

ChappyChase:

You took the word right out of my mouth bro..
But there are some exceptions, like as a guy at 25 you should minimise the way you depend on your parent, we know country bad but at least you should be seeing making attempt. To me its wrong for a guy at 20 to still depend on his parent for pocket money to buy little things like recharge card, cloths, phones and some other little little things. try and minimise your dependency level to only shelter, food(which might not be always) and school fees if your are not yet through with school...
With these above points you're sure to avoid embarrassment!

You and umehj are correct. Its the system. Abroad and here have different motivating factors. Our parents sef...r they ready to let go? For one to go hustle, he will get his hands into illicit things. If still in school or yet to go in...the hustling fit change am for you. no more school. If you are in school, strive to liv off-camp and make there your home. That way you have indirectly left your parents home. i did that when i was in school. i only went home during Xmas. Easter i form we have exams immediately, so no need to come home. holidays or strike period, i form another thing. in fact by the time they see u r cutting them off, they wont bother u as such esp if u r not always going to ask for money. though not asking could make them wonder how u survive. if you school in d same town they liv in...try and get an accommodation near the school.bottom line...its true what she said but its not that easy. our system does not support it. its not that the guys r lazy nor broke. its just the system.
