I know there are lots of disadvantages of social media, but this is the worst I have ever seen. A 41-year-old man has been arrested in Phatthalung, Thailand for inflicting serious injuries on his 13-year-old daughter after arguing with her over the amount of time she spent on Facebook and other social media platform. The suspect, Joi, slit her throat on Sunday morning, April 9th, and then locked her in a rented house in Phetchaburi's Muang district. He was arrested at a checkpoint in Prachuap Khiri Khan's Thap Sakae district on Sunday night while trying to flee with his youngest daughter. Joi told police he attacked the girl out of rage after they argued about her spending too much time on Facebook and Line. His wife, 44, corroborated that version of events. She said her husband did not like the girl spending a lot of time on social media for fear it would impact negatively on her school work. She, however, denied the suggestion the attack was the result of sexual abuse. The wife said her husband had a violent temper and had hit the girl before over her social media use. She claimed Joi had previously threatened to kill all the family members as he was jealous and paranoid that she would return to her former lover. She said her daughter is recovering in hospital under close medical supervision. Police said the husband was wanted under a court-issued arrest warrant in relation to a murder case in Trang's Muang district on August 14, 2007. More photos below... Akwa una ahuna eh. This white people can be cruel most of the time. United Airlines has sparked an outrage on Monday for how its security officials physically dragged off a passenger from its overbooked flight. Videos posted online by other passengers showed a man, who appeared to be Asian dragged dwon the aisle on his back screaming as officers yanked him from his seat on United Flight 3411 before it departed from Chicago O’Hare International Airport to Louisville, Kentucky, on Sunday. The incident sparked outrage on social media and the video has already gone viral. According to Reports, in a letter circulated to employees, United Chief Executive Officer Oscar Munoz did not apologise for the way the passenger was handled, writing that the passenger had “defied” security officers. Munoz said there are lessons the company can learn from this situation, though he impressed that he “emphatically” stands behind his employees. “We sought volunteers and then followed our involuntary denial of boarding process (including offering up to $1,000 in compensation),” Munoz wrote. “When we approached one of these passengers to explain apologetically that he was being denied boarding, he raised his voice and refused to comply with crew member instructions.” A statement by the Chicago Department of Aviation said one of the officers did not follow protocol adding that he had been placed on leave pending a review for actions not condoned by the department. The U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) said it was reviewing whether United complied with overbook rules that require airlines to set guidelines on how passengers are denied boarding if they do not volunteer to give up their seats. Video of the incident posted by Twitter user @Tyler_Bridges shows three security officers hovering over the seated passenger before dragging him to the floor. Bridges said the man told staff of the airline that he was a doctor and had to return home to his patients. The airline said it had asked for volunteers to leave because additional flight crew needed to get to Louisville. Arsenal FC was humiliated yesterday by Crystal Palace to a 3-0 lose. Crystal Palace continued their recent revival to boost their Premier League survival hopes and leave Arsenal struggling to maintain their run of top-four finishes under Arsene Wenger. Despite the defeat, Arsene Wenger says the uncertainty over his future is not affecting his Arsenal players, but admits their 3-0 defeat at Crystal Palace is "a big worry". Wenger is out of contract at the end of the season and has been offered a new two-year deal, although he is yet to announce whether he will continue. Sixth-placed Arsenal are seven points off the top four with eight games left. "I've managed over 1,100 games for Arsenal and we're not used to losing like that," said the Frenchman. "We have to respond very quickly and not accept it." Some travelling fans told Wenger it was "time to go", also singing "you're not fit to wear the shirt" at the players, as Arsenal were convincingly beaten at relegation-threatened Palace. Goals from Andros Townsend, Yohan Cabaye and Luka Milivojevic inflicted a fourth straight away league defeat on Arsenal - for the first time during Wenger's 21-season reign. It leaves the Gunners in serious danger of missing out on a top-four finish for the first time under the 67-year-old. "I understand our fans are disappointed and we all are deeply disappointed," he said. "It's very worrying and disappointing the way we lost the game. Palace were sharp, they beat Chelsea the other day, and that shows they have quality. "We are in a difficult position. The game tonight doesn't help." more @ http://www.exlinklodge.com/2017/04/how-market-arsenal-fans-crystal-palace.html cc mynd44 missyb3 lalasticlala dominique

Recall that former President's Wife Taiwo Obasanjo tried to stop her son's wedding by bring a claim in court. However, an Ikeja High Court today being Monday 10th, 2017, dismissed the suit filed by Mrs Taiwo Obasanjo, wife of former President Olusegun Obasanjo, seeking the postponement of the wedding of her son Olujonwo to Tope Adebutu. According to News Agency of Nigeria, Justice Lateefa Okunnu, dismissed the suit on the grounds that the court lacked jurisdiction to hear the suit because Olujonwo, 33, is an adult. “On March 27, I ordered counsel to direct me on whether the family court can hear a case where the child is an adult. “Counsel have addressed me and I have read the processes before me. “I have found to be very genuine, what the applicant said regarding performing her parental duties in paragraph 15 of her affidavit. “The court, regrettably, lacks the competence to adjudicate this suit, the jurisdiction of the family court covers children under the age of 18 years. “The respondent’s son is 33-years-old, this negates the ability of this court to entertain this suit. “The proper order to give is one dismissing this suit in its entirety, I hereby dismiss this suit,” the judge said. Former President Obasanjo and the father of the bride, Sir Kessington Adebutu, promoter of Premier Lotto known as “Baba Ijebu” are the respondents to the suit. Mrs Taiwo Obasanjo was present in court while former President Obasanjo and Sir Adebutu were absent. Mrs Obasanjo had in her suit filed on March 27, prayed that the wedding which is scheduled for May 11, be moved to any date after June 1 which is Olujonwo’s 34th birthday. According to her, she had received various warnings and prophecies from men of God that her son should not be involved in any elaborate celebration before his birthday. Earlier during proceedings, Mr Bode Olanipekun, counsel to Obasanjo and Adebutu, had asked to court to dismiss the suit due to lack of jurisdiction. “We urge your Lordship to dismiss this suit based on jurisdictional challenges. “Under Section 261 of the Child’s Act, this court has no jurisdiction because the child is above 18-years. “The claimants have not disclosed a reasonable cause of action and no laws were cited in their address. “I urge your Lordship to dismiss this suit,” Olanipekun said. more @ http://www.exlinklodge.com/2017/04/ex-presidents-wife-taiwo-obasanjo-loses.html cc lalasticlala mynd44 missby3

BBNaija: Nigerians Are Not Illiterates Desmond Elliot Shares Lessons Learnt From Big Brother Naija Nollywood Actor and member of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Desmond Elliot took to his Instagram page to share some lessons Nigerians can learn from the recently concluded Big Brother Naija show. According to him: Just a few lessons I believe we as a nation, a people can learn from: 1)we are all different in thoughts, actions and behavior but unique in many ways. Just as they tolerated one another we also should learn to do same. 2) If we put in half as much interest and energy that we did in #bigbrothernaija2017, into those we elect into public offices (including yours truly) Naija would be a much better place being governed by our people of choice. 3)Nigerians are not as illiterate as we Potrait ourselves to be, obvious the masses vote for EFE , many flew out of the country to witness his "coronation " and KNEW EXACTLY what they wanted and they GOT IT 4)It pays to always be your self ..at all times, never let "them" turn you to who you not .. bottom line if you can't influence them .. don't join them !!! Congratulations to Efe, may God grant you the wisdom to manage this ..all of these so you come out tops in all your endeavors.Amen..I sign out more @ http://www.exlinklodge.com/2017/04/bbnaija-nigerians-are-not-illiterates.html https://www.instagram.com/p/BSsVe_hAUBy/?hl=en

Could this be the case? I mean I have red a lot on Robert Greene's 48 laws of power and I know all about concealing emotions and smoke screens, but if this is what Ekiti State Governor is doing, then he is even more mischievous that Machiavelli himself. According to Daily Post, senator representing Ogun East, Buruji Kashamu, has described the Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose as an “agent of destabilization”, who is out to destroy the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, before defecting from the party. Addressing newsmen on Sunday, Kashamu said he once alerted leaders of the party of Fayose’s inordinate ambition to destroy the party. Kashamu also likened the party to a barracks “where soldiers come and go, and the barracks remains.” According to the lawmaker, “I had always known that Fayose has an agenda and alerted our leaders and elders to his agenda of either having his way or destroying the PDP before he leaves for God knows where. “Now that he is letting the cat out of the bag, I can only say that Fayose has exposed himself. “He has shown that he is the real agent of destabilization. He is one of those who want to kill the PDP before he defects. However, it should be clearly pointed out that PDP was not founded because of Fayose or any of us. Whether anyone leaves or not, the party will remain. It will not die. “The truth of the matter is that the leadership crisis in the PDP was designed and orchestrated because of the inordinate ambition of some people, especially those who are exiting office next year.” more @ http://www.exlinklodge.com/2017/04/sen-kashamu-gov-fayose-wants-to-destroy.html cc lalasticlala mynd44
