Ghana/Nigeria Actress Juliet Ibrahim shared this wonderful post on her Instagram page this afternoon. She is actually lending her voice to the campaign on violence against women and no doubt she wrote this post because of the recent Mercy Aigbe's marital breakdown. She wrote: "Our value as women has been taken for granted due to domestic violence, egoism and male chauvinism. Never joke about domestic violence. Violence is never a choice anyone should make!! ‘Why Didn’t You Just Leave?’ A question we are all quick to ask but we should never be the judge until we hear domestic violence survivors explain why it’s never that simple. 80% of women experience violence in relationships around the world and its growing rapidly; We need to speak up and lend our voices as much as we can to encourage these Victims to speak up early enough to avoid a nasty fate, keeping quiet and thinking that He/She will change is not the solution! Also; When a gun is present in a domestic violence situation, it increases the risk of homicide for women by 500 percent.#domesticviolence Shame unto every so-called celebrity that is actually tweeting and snapping while mocking any thing concerning another woman's well being that is out there in the news... don't forget Karma is a real bitch; be careful what you wish for others.#sayNotodomesticviolence Thank God there are authorities in place nowadays to do the needful and deal with these maniacs! Violence is not an excuse and should never be a choice no matter what!". more @ http://www.exlinklodge.com/2017/05/dont-judge-victims-of-domestic-violence.html cc lalasticlala mynd44 missyb3

Federal High Court sitting in Abuja has fined the Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai for failing to produce his witness in a libel case against former Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, National Publicity Secretary, Olisa Metuh. According to Daily Post, the governor had filed a N1.5bn suit against the former PDP spokesman for linking him to Boko Haram in 2014. El-Rufai on four occasions since June 2016 failed to produce his witness to substantiate his claim against Metuh at the court. During the resumed hearing of the trial on Wednesday, counsel to the governor, Rabi Adamu, informed the court that his witness was not available to testify, he then prayed for an adjournment. Reacting to Adamu’s prayer, lawyer to Metuh, Ben-Chuks Nwosu, said the failure of the plaintiff to produce his witness showed that there is no case against the former PDP spokesman. Describing the action of the governor as an abuse of court process, Nwosu prayed the court not to entertain such. He also urged the court to compel the governor to produce his witness or immediately close the case. He also asked the court to award a cost of N150,000 in favour of his client. Justice Abubakar Talba, while ruling on the matter awarded a cost of N10,000 in favour of Metuh. Talba, consequently adjourned the matter till July 5. more @ http://www.exlinklodge.com/2017/05/high-court-fines-kaduna-state-gov-el.html cc lalasticlala mynd44

The truth is, there are no ideological politicians anymore in Nigeria. Is all about politics of the belle. Watin I go chop na him I know. In the US, someone can tell if you are a Democrat or a Republican just they way u speak on specific issues. That is what is called politics of ideology. Here we have senate, and they can't do anything about the president because they are busy fighting for their own pockets and fighting magu so that their yansh wont be opened on corruption matters. The senate has the power to step this man down for good. But even if they try, no ideological politicians in the senate, they only play politics of ethnicity and bigotry. They cant be selfless for once and hence majority will even prefer the president to still be in the office despite his ill health so long as the so called cabals lobby them with money. is pitiful and pathetic. |
na lie |

The final report of the Senate ad-hoc Committee on Mounting Humanitarian Crisis in the North East has revealed that contractors paid over N500m in kickbacks to a company linked to the suspended Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Babachir David Lawal. According to Daily Post, an interim report, late last year, had indicted Lawal for due process violation in award of contracts under Presidential Initiatives on North East (PINE) The over N500m discovered by the committee was paid to Rholavision Engineering Limited. The report presented by the chairman of the committee Senator Shehu Sani (APC, Kaduna Central), to Senate at plenary yesterday is expected to be considered today. Recall that Vice President Yemi Osinbajo-led committee investigating allegations against Lawal last week requested the Senate to produce relevant documents on the matter. Below are the findings. The Sani panel submitted that N507m was paid into Lawal’s company account by seven PINE contractors. It alleged that JOSMON technologies limited which got two contracts, amounting to N530m from PINE, paid N317m to the company of the suspended SGF in 23 transfers. The panel also said JMI global technologies limited, was awarded eight contracts amounting to N199m by PINE and it paid N30m from Zenith bank account number 114357188 into Rholavision account with ECObank. Also, Messers Adamawa Borehole and Drilling Company which was awarded contract to renovate seven number of 18 classrooms at Yeskule Girls Secondary School Michika in Adamawa state at N54.8m transferred N18.3m to the suspended SGF’s company. Another N58m was paid to Lawal’s company by Yuby Ventures limited which was awarded a contract of five number of 15 classrooms at Hausari Primary School in Adamawa. The panel also uncovered that Barde Brothers multi-Services Limited which was awarded seven contracts for renovation of classrooms in Adamawa state at N145.6m paid N71m to Rholavision in three installments. The company also paid another N13m into personal account (no. 0003004417) of the suspended SGF at Diamond bank in three instalments. The committee said it discovered that the suspended SGF resigned in September 2016, but that the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has confirmed that he was the signatory to accounts of the company as at Wednesday, 15th February 2017. “In the course of its investigation, the committee observed that Rholavision Engineering Limited has become a destination pool for companies that were awarded contracts by PINE and other government agencies to make payments into its (Rholavision) account no. 0182001809 with ECObank, “it said. The committee recommended that further investigation be carried out by relevant agencies of government on why contract benefiting companies paid over N500m into Rholavision Engineering Limited, a company in which the suspended SGF has interest. “The banks transaction of Rholavision Engineering Limited and the confirmation by CBN that the Bank Verification Number (BVN) of Babachir David Lawal is still the signatory to Rholavision and 13 other accounts, some with different names. “The committee is of the opinion that Lawal has contravened the provision of part 1 of the fifth schedules of the 1999 Constitution and the breach the oaths of office as SGF and therefore he should be prosecuted,” the committee stated. The panel also said that all resources that had been misapplied or stolen by public officials should be retrieved and that anybody found culpable of contravening any of the provisions of the Public Procurement Act and the Federal government financial rules and regulations pertaining to the award of these contracts should be duly prosecuted. It also said that relevant agencies should ensure that contracts partially executed but fully paid for must be completed by the concerned contractors. The panel further said that since it was observed that there was no bill of quantities on most of the contracts awarded by PINE under the emergency situation, the Bureau of Public Procurement (BPP) should undertake a revaluation of all such contracts to recover any proceeds from over-inflated contracts. http://www.exlinklodge.com/2017/05/babachir-lawal-suspended-sgf-collected.html

he has to go see a prophet |
so so sorry is really bad |
thats why they say: most disappointments are blessings. because of that disappointment, he had to retract and trained harder in other to move forward. And guess what, forward he moved and he is now the worlds heavyweight champion. Food for thoughts: in your lonely time and time of disappointments, bid your time, train, read, prepare yourself in secret, so that when the opportunity presents himself, you will seize the moment. Is only a fool and a lazy man that thinks opportunity comes once in a life time. |
The Nigeria National Assembly, NASS on Tuesday 2nd 2017, stepped down the bill to establish the Nigerian Peace Corps. Most lawmakers in the chambers opposed the passage of the bill. The set-back followed the presentation by the committee on the bill chaired by Bayero Nafada. But rather than take votes for the bill’s passage for a third reading, the lawmakers including Deputy Senate President, Ike Ekweremadu, and Minority Leader, Godswill Akpabio, stood against its passage. They cited the lawsuit involving the head of the Peace Corps and the police. As of now, the bill to establish Nigeria Peace Corps has been stepped down till further notice. more @ http://www.exlinklodge.com/2017/05/breaking-news-senate-steps-down-bill-to.html cc lalasticlala mynd44
