Islamic Cleric Blasted For Urging FIFA To Ban Christian Players From Making The Sign Of The Cross After Scoring

Is it that the world is afraid of Christianity or that Christianity is not real or have loosen touch as the world evolves? Which is it? or is it for the fact that Muslim community hates Christians with passion?

FIFA has been urged to ban Christian players from making the sign of the cross after scoring a goal. A Muslim cleric from Saudi Arabia, Mohammed Alarefe called on football’s governing body to write it into the game’s laws that players be prohibited from tapping their stomach, chest, left shoulder then right shoulder to make a cross.

Alarefe, who is professor of religion at King Saud University in Riyadh, posted the controversial call on Twitter to his 17.4million followers, but he was quickly flooded with messages disagreeing with him. A number of people pointed out to the Muslim scholar that a huge amount of players kneel on the ground and kiss the floor in celebration of a goal, mimicking the Islamic prayer.

Alarefe wrote:

‘I’ve seen video clips of athletes, soccer players running, shooting and when they win they make the symbol of the cross on their chests and my question is if FIFA’s rules forbid this.’

While people form all religious backgrounds, including Christianity and Islam responded to his views, many condemned the cleric, saying it incited division.

This is interesting. No wonder every politician in Nigeria and even in African respects and pays IBB homage. He wilds a lot of political influence. NAN reports that 26 private jets and four police and air force aircraft landed in Minna today being Friday 12th May, 2017 for the wedding of former President Ibrahim Babangida’s daughter.

The aircraft brought the various dignitaries that attended the event. The police also provided air surveillance and security. Former President Goodluck Jonathan and his wife Patience, Senate President Bukola Saraki and former vice president Namadi Sambo were at the wedding.

Pius Anyim Pius, former Secretary of the Government of the Federation, Justice Idris Kutigi, former Chief Justice of the Federation, Alhaji Ahmed Yayale, also a former SGF, Gen. Magoro, Senator Ben Obi, Senator Ben Bruce, Air Vice Marshal Ibrahim Haruna, Chairman IBB Golf Club, Alhaji Sani Zangon Daura.

The daughter of IBB, Halima is the last child of the family and she is marrying a Gombe businessman, Alhaji Auwal Abdullahi.

Abdullahi gave 10 cows and N500,000 as dowry for his bride and if you don't yet know, the groom is the Sarkin Sudan of Gombe, in Gombe state. Gen. Garba Wushishi performed the symbolic ceremony of handing over Halimat at 2.45 pm in marriage to Abdullahi. Gov. Ibrahim Dankwanbo of Gombe state received the bride on behalf of the groom, who hails from the state.

Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, the former president of Nigeria would have been in Minna today attending ex military Head of State Ibrahim Babangida's last daughters wedding today except for the fact that his own son is doing his traditional wedding today.

Despite the controversy surrounding their union, the children of Olusegun Obasanjo, former Nigerian president, and Kessington Adebutu, popularly known as Baba Ijebu, had their traditional marriage on yesterday being Thursday 11th May, 2017.

Taiwo Obasanjo, wife of the ex-president, had said the wedding will lead to disaster and strange deaths in the country. She had filed a suit at an Ikeja high court, seeking to stop the wedding but Lateefat Okunnu, the presiding judge, dismissed the suit on the grounds that the court lacked jurisdiction to hear it because Olujonwo, 33, is an adult.

The traditional marriage, which held at the Balmoral Hall of Federal Palace Hotel in Lagos, was attended by politicians, business moguls, as well as traditional rulers. The white wedding of Tolulope Adebutu and Olujonwo Obasanjo is expected to take place on Saturday May 13th, 2017

Buhari's Letter: Afenifere, Northern Youths Condemn Labelling VP. Osinbajo As ‘Coordinator’

Pan Yoruba Group, Afenifere, has joined a cross section of Nigerians condemning President Muhammadu Buhari​’s letter to the Senate on his medical vacation. The content read by President of the Senate, Bukola Saraki, at the plenary on Tuesday,
​ said:

“In compliance with Section 145 (1) of the 1999 Constitution (as amended), I wish to inform the distinguished Senate that I will be away for a scheduled medical follow-up with my doctors in London. The length of my stay will be determined by the doctor’s advice.

“While I am away, the Vice President will coordinate the activities of the government. Please accept, the distinguished Senate President, the assurances of my highest consideration.”

According to Daily Post, ​The letter has continued to generate debate, with many wondering why Buhari did not clearly refer to Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo, as Acting President. Recall that ​legal practitioner, Ebun-olu Adegboruwa, called for the impeachment of President Buhari”for gross misconduct”. ​Similarly, fo​rmer Aviation Minister, Femi Fani-Kayode, ​believes that ​a “cabal” was undermining​ Osinbajo​ and his office.​

​Adding its voice, Afenifere, ​stated that ​the letter showed a ​disrespect to the Office of the President. National Publicity Secretary, Yinka Odumakin said:

“If​ on​ this occasion the President has written to the Senate to say that while away, the Vice President will perform the functions of his office and he now says that the Vice President will coordinate the activities of government, what the letter is saying is that they have deregulated the office of the President.​”

“​It means that everybody will be doing his own thing, Osinbajo will do what is brought to his table, the Chief of Staff will do what is brought to his table. That is not healthy for our democracy, it is dangerous​. “i​t is a bad signal and the constitution is very clear, that infraction is atrocious. I think there is is a kind of a hegemonous threat on the acting presidency of Osinbajo by that infraction.”

​Former House of Reps Deputy Speaker, Austin Opara​, lamented that President Buhari’s administration is causing distraction for Nigerians, having used terminologies not recognized by the Constitution.

“The position of the constitution is clear on this matter. When the President travels, he transmits power to his Vice-President as acting President and not as a coordinator. Coordinator is an aberration and such words are not recognized in the Nigerian Constitution.

“What will this government lose by using the words ‘Acting President’ for Osinbajo? Under President Goodluck Jonathan, we had positions like Coordinating Minister, so are we going to have a Coordinating President as well? “The APC should stop distracting Nigerians with their use of words that are not provided for in the Constitution,” he said.

Shettima Usman Yerima, president of Arewa Youth Consultative Forum​, described the letter as mischievous​.

“​The situation as it is may lead to a constitutional crisis. The letter written did not state Osinbajo should act as president. ​”​Whoever wrote that letter did it deliberately to achieve a selfish interest. Those who wrote it did it out of mischief to limit the power of the acting president. ​”​The government should not tell us that this is a mere distraction because it concerns all Nigerians.”

We can't reach a valid conclusion based on conspiracy theories. As for the emboldened, after attending one of the best Universities in the world, working with exceptional Software Engineers with at least above average IQ for years, it's the funniest appraisal I have seen. Once again any argument that can't be backed up with valid proof remains invalid, smart humans are logical not radical.

I am a computer engineer myself and I know what logical thinking is. If I put in a bad word in my previous message, I stand corrected. In the end, what a trying to say is that proof is not really "truth" rather proof is what you persuade people to believe with evidence that screams logic.

I may not be able to collaborate my claim with a proof but that doesn't mean is not true. Heck I can't prove OBJ is a crime master but that doesn't me he is not. People are now taken interest on the why French President-Elect is married to his high school teacher who is 24 years older than him. The 39 years old said those who keep wondering at the age difference between him and his 64-year-old wife are misogynists and homophobes. He said misogyny and homophobia were to blame for assumptions that he could not be in love with his wife. He noted that if his wife was younger than him, nobody would question the validity of their relationship.

In his words:

“If I had been 20 years older than my wife, nobody would have thought for a single second that I couldn’t be (an intimate partner),” he said. “It’s because she is 20 (sic) years older than me that lots of people say, ‘This (relationship) can’t be tenable, it can’t be possible.”

Those girls have been fine all along. We'll recollect that Obasanjo in the heat of the kidnap hype that time went into 'Boko Harams camp' to check the girls. He came back with prophecy of doom that most of the girls may not come back...For me this may/maynot be partly due to the fact that No girl was kidnapped in the 1st place.

Secondly they needed something concrete against GEJ and the Master Crafters are still alive...(IBB, Obj, Danjuma, Abdusalami). The hype by Western countries about Chibok was more than a Kidnap plot...It was a means to an end (topple GEJ)....Now it's achieved and cleverly did a fast one on us during 2015 campaign by ensuring that Bringing Chibok Girls back was included in PMB priorities (whether he's aware of the plot or otherwise).

Madam Oby Ezeks was not part of the plot apparently and She was USED on a supposedly just cause. In the process she got personal with the Army spokesman who clearly were in the know from the day the said girls were 'kidnapped'.

Note: Immediately the news broke that some school girls have been kidnapped while writing exams, the Army few hours later DEBUNKED it on TV and said No girls were kidnapped. 24hours later, the same Army through the spokesman came out again to retract their initial stance and Confirm that a number of girls were 'kidnapped'. This led to conflicting reports on the ACTUAL NUMBER to be claimed officially.


Also there was issue of failed Negotiation.

The 3 musketeers (OBJ, IBB, Abdusalami) held a closed-door meeting in Minna just last week. It is not unconnected to this 'release' which is part of series of underground schemes they may have done on behalf of PMB.

I wrote a post about this purported capture and release of Chibok schoolgirls yesterday and many people were criticizing me, saying that my cynical approach to things is not good and is not patriotic. I told them they only way to be patriotic to a government is to criticize what you think is not right.

I had reasons to believe that Chibok school girls might be a myth that we will all here how it went down as the time goes on and suffice to say, is not only me that echoed this sentiments. Host of Nigeria, I mean 1000's of Nigerians believe this is the deception of the century. I mean most of them thinks that the government knows were this girls are all along.

Anyway, a 55 year old pastor was arrested by the Oyo State Police Command yesterday over unlawful possession of a human head, buffalo horn, as well as gunpowder and charms. The pastor, said to be the founder of Cherubim and Seraphim Church, Idapomimo Zion, Alagbado, Lagos, was arrested by security operatives during a “stop and search” operation, at about 10:30 pm on May 4 on his way to another branch of the church at Imini in Afijo Council of Oyo State.

However, Isaiah had an explanation: he wanted to use the human skull as fortification to ward off armed robbers from the land on which a branch of his church is being constructed. In an interview ‘Prophet’ Isaiah a.k.a Agbojesu disclosed that:

“There was a demolition at Pakoto, Sango, Ogun State, where I reside, and it was there I found the human skull. Unfortunately, armed robbers have been disturbing us at my church branch in Oyo State, so I wanted to use the skull to make some spiritual fortification so that armed robbers would stop disturbing us there.

The charmed soap found with me is to get favour and mercy. I also intended to bury the horn found with me along with the human skull for the fortification, because it is a large expanse of land. I know human skull may be used for other things but what I intended to use it for was to ward off armed robbers by making the site unattractive for them. All I would do was to mix some herbs with the skull, make some incantations and instruct the skull to ward off armed robbers from that particular area.

Although I am now a prophet, my father used to be a herbalist. That was how I learnt how to prepare some spiritual potions. But I know that Christianity does not support charms and diabolism. I started my church in 1980. Apart from praying for my church members, I also help them prepare charms that will make people be at ease with them. I used to have about 26 church members, but the prophet who I employed to assist me took the members with him to establish his own church.

I sincerely apologise and seek forgiveness from God, the government and the people.”

A 60-year-old man identified as Abubakar Abdulkadir has been arrested for allegedly being in possession of roasted human parts in Taraba State.

Speaking on Friday in Jalingo, the state capital, the spokesperson for the Police Command in the state, David Misal said Abdulkadir was apprehended at Alin-Gora Village in Ardo-kola Council Area of the state.

Misal said the suspect was arrested with body parts suspected to be that of his “nephew, Ali Gimba, who was reported missing since April 27.” According to Misal:

“He was found in possession of body parts of the missing boy. He roasted part of the boy’s body and loaded it in a sack. “We also recovered a knife and a hoe which the suspect used in digging a hole to pour and cover the boy’s blood,”

“We want to know the purpose of this crime. Is it for ritual; to eat the flesh, or for sale.”
