Zlatan Ibrahimovic's late winner secured the EFL Cup and gave Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho his first cup since his summer appointment, as brave Southampton were beaten at Wembley. Southampton, as their performance merited, were on terms with two predatory strikes from Gabbiadini either side of half-time. Oriel Romeu hit the woodwork before Ibrahimovic stole in on Ander Herrera's cross three minutes from time to give United a victory that looked beyond them for long spells.

Gospel Singer Eric Arubayi's wife Chinonso has refused to accept the fact that her husband is dead and buried. She is still finding it difficult to accept that fact or maybe is is entirely seems as a dream to her. Who wouldn't it.

Eric Arubayi, is a talented Gospel singer and he has passed on. The artiste, in his early 30s, died on Saturday 11th February 2017 at the Delta State University Teaching Hospital. More about his death, click here.

Eric's wife Chinonso, shared/reposted a song done for by her husband this morning and captioned it:

"My Husband is not dead.... @ericarubayi is alive. Thanks for the show of love and support".

May God be with her in this trying time.

Is he jealous? I so don't think so but nevertheless, some people will still interpret is as he is a jealous ex. But i think he has a genuine reason for this suit.

Recall that few weeks after Maje sent a letter of demand asking his estranged wife, Toke Makinwa to retract the words in her tell-all book, "On Becoming", to stop the sale of the book, copies that haven't been sold should be retrieved and for her to tender an unreserved apology in several national dailies, which Toke, of course, ignored, Maje Ayida has instituted legal action against her ex wife.

He is sking for N100million in damages over the book he claims contains defamatory words that do not represent his person. According to The Cable, Maje's lawyers began legal proceedings at Lagos High Court on February 7th.

Toke's publishers, Kachifo Limited are also being sued alongside Toke. In his suit, Maje asked the court to donate any damages awarded him in the case to four charities which he will pick himself.

What is happening? Can he win this?

Contrarily to what people thing, "celebrities are all the same and that their companionship never last", Singer Muma Gee have putting the dogs to rest. The singer recently opened up about her broken marriage with Prince Eke, saying she gave her all to make the it work.

In her own words:

"I got married and became a full time house wife for 6 years. For me to have taken a break (from entertainment) for six years, that's enough to tell anyone I was really dedicated. I gave the marriage all my life, all my time, but if the persons involved are restless a bit, you can't be in control"

US President, Donald Trump have really beaten more than he can chew this time as he barred New York Times, CNN and other media outfits from attending Friday White House briefing, citing an escalation in the relationship between the media and the young Trump administration.

Trump has been attacking the US media, deriding them as purveyors of ‘fake news’, ‘dishonest media’ and so on and had disputed several accounts published by the media since he was sworn in on 20th January, 2017.

Not trusting how they would treat his story, Trump last week addressed a rally in Florida. Just today, Trump in Twitter posts blasted the FBI for not tracing the source of a leak of his administration’s links to Russia. The story was published by CNN on Thursday. According to a report by Daily Beast, journalists have expressed outrage at today’s unusual move by the White House.

The Associated Press and Time magazine reportedly boycotted the briefing as a result of the ban of NYT and CNN. White House spokesman, Spicer reportedly allowed sympathetic outlets into the gaggle—an informal question-and-answer session between a press secretary and journalists—including the Washington Times, Breitbart, all Republican and conservative organs and One America News Network.

Jeff Mason, the president of the White House Correspondents’ Association, said the consortium of reporters will “strongly protest” the move and further discuss it with White House press staffers. “This is an unacceptable development by the Trump White House,” CNN said in a statement.:

“Apparently this is how they retaliate when you report facts they don’t like. We’ll keep reporting regardless.”

Dean Baquet, executive editor of The New York Times, issued a similar statement:

“Nothing like this has ever happened at the White House in our long history of covering multiple administrations of different parties. We strongly protest the exclusion of The New York Times and the other news organisations. Free media access to a transparent government is obviously of crucial national interest.”

Earlier today, Trump had said he was not against the American media. In a speech at the Conservative Political Action Conference in Maryland, Trump said in spite of his criticism of certain U.S. media organisations, he is not against the fourth estate of the realm.

In Trumps words:

“I’m not against the press; I don’t mind bad stories if I deserve them and I tell you, I love good stories, but we won’t. I don’t get too many of them. “They are very dishonest people; in fact, in covering my comments, the dishonest media did not explain that I called the fake news the enemy of the people – the fake news.

“They dropped off the word ‘fake’ and all of the sudden, the story became, the media is the enemy; they take the word ‘fake’ out, and now I’m saying, oh, no, this is no good. But that’s the way they are. So I’m not against the media.

amazing memories

I have been struggling to make online payment internationally for a service rendered to me or yet to be rendered anyway and have not been able to accomplish that with my UBA Mastercard. Is this problem peculiar to only UBA cards?

To be completely honest, i have been using their Mastercard to make payments of such with no hassle but since January 2017 till date, i have not been able to make any payment. If i call their customer service rep, they keep giving me flimsy excuses that Global kiniko has been reached that i should retry it in the mid-night, little bit after 12am.

I have tried it 12am, 12:30am, 1am and even 2am respectively and have not been able to achieve anything. What is really happening and why is it so? or is there any govt. policy given birth to that?

The worst part is that i have visited the bank and they would not attend to me. they asked me to pick their phone and dia 232 and those stupid customer service agents will be talking rubbish without solving the issue.

guys please, how can i remedy this. am willing to drop UBA if this is their problem and try another bank. They are really getting on my nerves.

Such a bad news this morning. The 5 years old Aliyah Masaku who was attacked by three dogs owned by the landlord of her residence in Ikorodu has been reported died. Her family members say she died yesterday evening after suffering severe pains from the injuries she sustained during the attacks.

Three days ago, being Monday February 20th, 2017, four of the little girl’s landlord’s fifteen dogs broke out from their kernel and attacked her after allegedly being starved for weeks by their caregiver. You can read more on the story here.

One of the dogs named Rover first attacked her, then dragged her to the back of the house before two other dogs joined in the attack. Rover has been killed by youths in the area. Aliyah was rushed to the Ikorodu General Hospital where she had a surgery. She was later transferred to the Lagos state University Teaching Hospital LASUTH where she died at about 6pm yesterday.
