Husband and wife self. The best comedians you can ever see in life. The Ogun state police command has arrested Ifeanyi Ajaero, 37, for allegedly chaining his 28-year-old wife, Obiageli, to a generating set from nightfall till dawn, after battering her, according to The Sun. A statement by the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) of the command, Abimbola Oyeyemi, said the incident occurred at Ewooluwo Sagamu in Sagamu Local Government Area of the state. Oyeyemi said the suspect who was a member of the disbanded Merchant Navy, chained his wife with a handcuff. The PPRO, further stated that “the people in the neighbourhood who had witnessed frequent beatings of Obiagelli by her husband, alerted the police over the latest incident, consequent upon which the DPO of Sagamu division, SP Aduroja Moses, led his men to the scene, rescued the victim and got the suspect arrested”. When interrogated, the suspect admitted chaining the woman to the generator, but he claimed his action was in self-defence. Describing the action “a height of wickedness”, the Commissioner of Police in the state, Ahmed Iliyasu, ordered that the case be transferred immediately to the anti-human trafficking and child labour unit of the state investigation and intelligence department for further investigation and prosecution. more @ http://www.exlinklodge.com/2017/04/nigeria-police-arrest-husband-for.html cc lalasticlala mynd44

Yet another police brutality has been reported again and one would wonder, the once reported before, was there any actions taken against the officer who were the culprit. This is gradually becoming an everyday occurrence but funny enough, the so called government is not doing anything about it. This occured yesterday 14th April 2017. Indigenes of Igbara Odo, Ekiti State, were thrown into mourning yesterday when a peaceful protest turned tragic. Ayilumo Julius Adeniran, a 500 level student of FUTA was allegedly killed by a police officer as he joined his kinsmen for a protest. Ayilumo was home for the holiday and yesterday he joined the Igbara Odo youth in a peaceful protest but as police officers tried to disperse the crowd, they shot into the crowd, hitting Ayilumo. His friends shared the sad news on Facebook and wrote a compelling tribute to mourn the deceased. One of his friends, Olowolafe Mayowa Samuel, wrote: "Good Friday turned a bad one here. Son of man fell and pool of tears was inevitably instigated today in my hometown. My brother, late Ayilumo Julius was an indigene of Igbara Odo Ekiti, a 500level student of FUTA and a youth with a never giving up spirit. He loved me so much and he believed in the future of our hometown. He was shot and killed today by police officers while the officers were trying to halt a peaceful protest staged by Igbara Odo youths. Bro.your sudden death makes me realise how ephemeral life is. May God have mercy on you and forgive you of your sins, RIP. I love you prince Jul." more @ http://www.exlinklodge.com/2017/04/police-officer-kills-final-year-futa.html cc mynd44 obinoscopy dominique lalasticlala missyb3

Award-winning Nigerian artiste, Ayo ‘Wizkid’ Balogun whose ‘Come Closer’ video was viewed over a million times in 24 hours recently had a chat with Jasmine Dotiwala of British television station, Channel 4, where he talked about his plans to conquer the international music market, the rise of Afrobeats, among other issues. Of the topics Wizkid touched on during the five-minute long interview, his disclosure that his father was – in the early days – was averse to his music career was most striking. The singer said his father often wanted him to stay at home and study rather than go to record in the studio. Wizkid was once a student of Lagos State University before transferring to Lead City University after signing to Banky W’s Empire Mates Entertainment (EME). “My Dad used to fight me every time. ‘Don’t go to the studio, stay at home and study’. I just had my dreams and I followed them here. But now, people take pictures with him on the streets,” he told Channel 4. “He’s just so proud, and that’s my joy to make them happy.” Wizkid said Afrobeats and Afropop sounds will eventually influence the music coming out of the Western scene and ultimately “take over the world”. _ “Music is a universal language, you don’t need to understand what someone is saying to feel the music or love the music. For me, I feel like it’s just gonna bring this industry (Afrobeats) mainstream. It’s going to do a lot, it’s going to contribute, and probably take over the world,” he noted. “Everyone has a little bit of Afropop sound-inspired. Look at Drake on his last album (“Views”), look at Alicia Keys with what she is doing right now with the sound on ‘In common’. Everything is coming back home.” Wizkid asserted that music is the only source of joy for people on the African continent, adding that it is what endears Africa to the world. more @ http://www.exlinklodge.com/2017/04/my-father-was-against-my-music-career.html cc mynd44

Mr. Jimoh has been known to make rather loose political comments sometimes but this time around, Nigerians are not taking it lightly with him. The Chairman of Global Fleet Group, Jimoh Ibrahim, got a hilarious reply after he tweeted that former president Jonathan is a thief. This is after GEJ’s alleged Malabu oil scam, involving Shell company, ENI and former minister of petroleum. The former administration reportedly sold the OPL 245 oil field worth $500bn for $1.3bn. See what he tweeted below http://www.exlinklodge.com/2017/04/nigerians-blast-jimoh-ibrahim-after.html

The Thalaghattapura police, India on Wednesday, April 12, arrested a 41-year-old Nigerian national, Andrew a.k.a. Eric Peters and his 52-year-old Indian girlfriend on the charge of duping a woman of Rs 50 lakh, with a fake business proposal through a website. The police who took up the cases, approached the accused as a prospective client offering them huge sums of money and, trapped them. The two were arrested when they came to collect the money. Deputy Commissioner of Police (South) S D Sharanappa said Andrew had come to India on a business visa and landed in Delhi. He has been in India for a long time now and his passport and visa documents are being scrutinized as to how he arrived here. Andrew befriended Babli Parveen Hashmi (52) from Mumbai and the two started committing online frauds luring people, offering export business propositions for herbal medicines. They lured Vijaya, a Bengaluru-based entrepreneur, offering her dealership for herbal medicines to cure snakebite and chronic diseases. The accused also offered to help her business in Western countries which could fetch her profits in billions. Vijaya transferred Rs 50 lakh into their account online and soon she realised that she had fallen into their trap and had been duped. The duo subsequently went incommunicado. Based on Vijaya’s complaint, a team of police contacted the accused and offered to buy herbal medicines. They asked them to come and collect the cash as they could not transfer such a huge sum due to demonetisation. The duo were nabbed by the police as soon as they landed in the city. Inquiries revealed that the duo had several bank accounts and had duped more than 100 people in several states and collected at least Rs 8 crore from them in a span of four years. The police have recovered Rs 21 lakh from one of the bank accounts and will return it to Vijaya after obtaining permission from the court, a senior police officer said. Since the fraud has been committed across the country, the city police are considering handing over the case to the CID, City Police Commissioner Praveen Sood said. http://www.exlinklodge.com/2017/04/indian-police-arrest-nigerian-man-and.html

If you say he is the ladies man, you are not far from the truth. If you say he is obo, you are not far from the truth either. If you also say he is fine guy..common, that one is clear and yet Nigerians can't get enough of this guy even after Big Brother show is over. The Ex-BB Naija housemate, Thin Tall Tony aka TTT has pleaded with Nigerians to forget about the negative that happened in the house and remember his creativity. Speaking with the CableLifestyle, on Tuesday, April 11, the Calabar born dancer said he will approach the competition in the same manner if he were to do it again. In his words: “I wouldn’t change anything, I would do everything that I did all over again but a lot of people don’t understand that a game is a game. A lot of people went in with strategies, I didn’t go in with any,” “I just didn’t want to talk about my marriage, I wanted to show how creative I am. If we go past the questions people are asking about the negative things and ask was he creative, was he innovative? Did he take advice from people? Scrape things out of nothing and make them Nigerian and presentable? Yes, I did.” TTT revealed that his motivation to win or do well in the Friday night games was to have the opportunity to drink alcohol, which was not readily made available to the housemates. He said: “I loved the tasks and the Friday night games. It wasn’t even about winning the tasks, it was the alcohol. That was the only thing that brought us back to normal because throughout the week, we would have done hectic things that made us sweat but Friday night was the time to relax.” So, can you guys and ladies leave TTT alone ? Is that too much to ask? More @ http://www.exlinklodge.com/2017/04/bbnaija-ttt-begs-nigerians-forget.html
