Northern Group Issues FG, Governors 30-day Ultimatum To Reverse Ruga Settlement Suspension A coalition of northern groups has issued a 30-day ultimatum to the Federal government of Nigeria, as well as governors who are opposed to the RUGA settlement program to reverse their decisions. Abdul-Azeez Suleiman, the group’s spokesman in a press conference, said the debate to accept or not to accept the program is already causing disaffection for herders who are of Fulani extraction. According to him: “While we warn all state governments that stand against the implementation of the Ruga Initiative to desist and give peace a chance, we place President Buhari and the Federal Government on notice that they must completely stop this raging madness within 30-days beginning from today, Wednesday,” Suleiman said. The group, however, did not state what its next line of action would be should the government fail to comply with the ultimatum. The group also threatened the federal government, as well as Nigerians in the press release, saying: As long as Fulani herdsmen will not be allowed to live freely and enjoy their stay in the other regions of Nigeria, nobody should expect them to allow the Southerners enjoy their stay in the Northern part of Nigeria. 9jaRealist:Guilty or not guilty in the court of law as well as "beyond a reasonable doubt" is simply semantics. If someone is guilty in the court of law, it means he committed the offence being accused off. Note: in the real world, he may also be innocent of that crime. On the other hand, if the person is found not guilty, beyond a reasonable doubt in the court of law, it simply means the person is innocent. Note: in the real world he or she maybe or may not be innocent. Not guilty is the same as saying the person is innocent. Why, because u can't call the person a convict, and he or she cannot be tried on that same case again. Which will amount to double jeopardy. So it's just semantics. |
PlanetOfApes:I totally agree with you. The Busola's are more interested in the media than justice. Believe me, I want to believe the Busola's but the strategy is suspecious. Maybe he did rape her or maybe not but the question is, why did she come out now? And note: not in the court nor to the police but to the media. Isn't she doing more harm to herself than good? I know for a certainty that she can't go to the police nor sue pastor Biodun to court because it is next to impossible to prove that he raped her. She can never prove the substance of rape in court. Never. So what is really the deal here? Drag COZA church down? Plausible I guess. Because there is practically nothing to gain on her own side except bringing COZA down. Even if the rape happened yesterday, as long as she is not a minor, no semen was found, no sign of forcefulness, she can't prove rape. Not unless she have a CCTV camera installed in the house. |

The Blues "Chelsea" have confirmed the return and appointment of Frank Lampard as the club's new manager, with the former Blues midfielder signing an three-year deal to replace former head coach, Maurizio Sarri who is now in Juventus. Despite a third-place finish in the English Premier League last season and Europa League glory, Sarri struggled to win over fans and jumped at the chance to succeed Massimiliano Allegri at Juventus. Lampard quickly emerged as the stand-out candidate to take over at Stamford Bridge, having made a promising start to his managerial career with Championship outfit Derby County. He undoubtedly moulded a young, attack-minded side which featured two Chelsea loanees in Fikayo Tomori and Mason Mount and narrowly missed out on promotion after losing to Aston Villa in the play-off final. Derby had wanted to keep Lampard, and even opened talks over a new contract, but he was convinced to return to Chelsea and the Blues have paid around £4million in compensation. The 40-year-old will face a testing first season in charge as Chelsea face up to the prospect of a two-window transfer ban, though they have appealed the decision. If the appeal is unsuccessful, Lampard will not be able to make any new signings until next summer and will need to utilise the academy to a far great extent than previous managers. Lampard enjoyed 13 hugely successful seasons at Chelsea as a player and remains the club's record goalscorer, winning three Premier League titles and the Champions League. He is unlikely to be the only familiar face returning to west London, with Didier Drogba and Ashley Cole both linked with roles in Lampard's backroom team, while former Chelsea academy boss and Derby assistant Jody Morris also moves to Stamford Bridge. Will this be the worst mistake Chelsea have ever made? Leave your comments below.. Keyless (Thump Start) Cars Are The New Deal In Town, Do You Know It Can Kill? These Are The Dangers To Bear In Mind The truth is, everybody wants to get their hands on the newest technology in town. In fact, most people live for it. Some can't wait to trade in their old gadget to get the newest and the fuss keep going on and on and on. But new tech also pose new challenges as well as new risk. Let's talk about the advent of keyless (thumb start) cars and the dangers it poses to humanity. Some will say Exlink Autos have started again but am just looking out for most innocent folks out there who may fall victim sooner than later. Yes, convenience is what everybody lives for but what is convenience when it poses 1000 ways to die? Before, you have to physically turn of the ignition before the system will allow you to remove the car key. Not now anymore. Let's remember, when in car, you are riding and not at "potential". In this vein, convenience features in a Car, like touchscreens, however, can add distraction and, at worst, can be dangerous. It's difficult to know where to draw the line. The New York Times suggests in a recent story that keyless-ignition systems pose an overlooked risk because sometimes, the driver fails to switch the car off or doesn't realize it's still running. It's a follow-up to a larger investigation citing the dangers that can happen when you don't have to physically turn off a key to be sure your car is shut down. A recent story of an unexpected death of Sherry Penney and James Livingston, a married couple who passed away from carbon-monoxide poisoning after accidentally leaving their 2017 Toyota Avalon running inside a closed garage was recorded by NY Times. The NY Times also estimated that, since 2006, 36 people have died in incidents similar to this one in the United States and "dozens of others" have been injured and not taken into account similar events in other countries. Not doubt, keyless (thumb start) ignition is popular and rapidly becoming a standard feature because it's convenient. The driver can leave the "key fob" in a pocket or purse, never worrying about locking the keys in the car. This is because it communicates wirelessly with the car's computer. With no key to turn, there's far less danger of shutting off a car while in motion, whether accidentally or due to a faulty part. The issue here is how to avoid ending up like Sherry Penney and James Livingston, and, as with any tragedy, it's complicated. The NY Times also said recently that half of the carbon monoxide injuries and fatalities it identified were Toyota and Lexus models, even though Toyota uses an audible beeping warning. The Toyota Avalon does not feature the kind of automatic-shutoff function that other automakers employ, which happens after either a set time limit or through some combination of unbuckling the seatbelt, opening the driver's door, and exiting the vehicle with the key. Toyota has said it will add an automatic shutoff feature on its 2020 models with keyless ignition. However, owning to the kind of cars being produced this days, it is not drivers' fault that it's harder to tell whether or not their car is on or off these days. Even so, it is their responsibility to learn how to tell what "on" and "off" are like on the cars they own and drive. Finally, the evolving technology in the automobile industry requires a mental shift for both the drivers and owners. Now that you don't mechanically stick a key in the ignition and even hear engine noise when the car is running, you need to pay closer attention to whether you've shut off the vehicle or not. It's clear we can't trust automakers to protect us from every scenario, any more than we can trust the government for security in Nigeria. As cars become more gadget-like or should I say appliance-like, the risk of problems like this only becomes more likely. This is to remind you (those who love keyless cars) that the most important safety feature in a car, as always, is you. Breaking News - Chelsea & Head Coach, Maurizio Sarri Part Company , To Join Juventus Chelsea head coach, Maurizio Sarri is leaving Chelsea Football Club to return to Italy as Juventus coach. The club made the announcement in a statement today, 16th June, 2019. According to its statement, it said Chelsea and Juventus have reached an agreement for the early termination of Sarri’s contract with the club, which had two years left to run and is ending at his (Sarri's) request. Chelsea Director, Marina Granovskaia said: “In talks we had following the Europa League final, Maurizio made it clear how strongly he desired to return to his native country, explaining that his reasons for wanting to return to work in Italy were significant. “He also believed it important to be nearer his family, and for the well-being of his elderly parents he felt he needed to live closer to them at this point. “Maurizio leaves Chelsea with thanks from us all for the work he and his assistants did during the season he spent as our head coach, and for winning the Europa League, guiding us to another cup final and a third-place finish in the Premier League. “We would also like to congratulate him on securing the role as big as any in Serie A and to wish him the best of luck for the future.” Chelsea Club Statements: “Sarri moved to London last summer, joining us from Napoli, and his Chelsea side made a strong start to the Premier League campaign. We won our first five games and went unbeaten in all competitions from the start of the league season until late November when we suffered a reverse against Tottenham at Wembley. “Progression from the group stage of the Europa League was comfortable and a home Premier League win against eventual champions Manchester City a highlight in December. “However, our away form dipped in the New Year and we suffered heavy defeats at Bournemouth and Manchester City. Our league season by then was focused on achieving a top-four finish and entry back into the Champions League, a target that was reached with one game left to play. “Sarri achieved this while implementing a new style of play and a change in formation which was spoken of favourably by members of the squad. Young Callum Hudson-Odoi and Ruben Loftus-Cheek won increasingly frequent starts in the second half of the season until injury struck them both. “In the Carabao Cup we made it all the way through to the final and as Sarri pointed out, we had to beat the two finalists in the Champions League, Liverpool and Tottenham, along the way. At Wembley we bounced back from our heavy league defeat at Man City by performing well in a tight contest which was only decided in the domestic treble winners’ favour by a penalty shoot-out. “Our FA Cup campaign under Sarri ended at the fifth-round stage at home to Man United but in the Europa League, he was not to be denied the first major trophy of his managerial career. Premier League opposition were overcome when Arsenal were swept aside in Baku to ensure that our return to the Champions League next season will be as one of the top-seeded sides. “It also confirmed Sarri as just the fifth man to coach Chelsea to a European trophy. We wish him well for his time back in Italy.” More @ http://www.exlinklodge.com/2019/06/breaking-news-chelsea-head-coach.html?m=1 Cc mynd44 lalasticlala missyb3
