Tech giant, Google Inc has shown great respect to Nigeria and Nigerians by commemorating with them by including a lovely doddle and Nigeria flag on their home page as Nigeria celebrate her Independence Day today being the October 1st.

Today, Nigeria is now 59 years old. Though many Nigerians will gladly skip the celebration today, owning to the fact "99% of Nigerians... Maybe not up-to 99% (I've been known to exaggerate sometimes)" are still wondering: "what are we really celebrating"?

In spite of the odds, I always stand at attention when the Nigeria's National Anthem is sang, I always have a gigantic believe that this is my country and my motherland, and I'm proud of being a Nigerian. Though I may not be proud of how is been run, but get this, Nigeria is my country.

Does the media lie? This is not even a question begging for answers if you are a Nigerian or at least if you live in Africa. And to be candid, 97% of Nigerians believe the media lies like nothing else but we still have 3% that believes the media tell the truth. And suffice it to say, my own dad is amongst the 3%. That man believe so much in NTA Network News eh.

One thing we all have in common "both those that believe and those that don't" is we still get to be the same part of the country and are entitled to our opinions.

All media around the world lie. This is a statement of fact. Though most Nigerians will like to believe that the Western Media don't lie but that is not true. Sorry to burst your bubble, they lie a lot too. So before you give too much credence to what the news papers, TV news, Radio news said and what the mags said, take a minute to reason.

The news and information made available to citizens of a country has always been controlled and doctored by the government from time immemorial.

The pictures below has been trending and it proves a lot. I remember watching 'Die Hard', a movie staring Bruce Willis. When the little computer hacker was asking him if he was still listening to that crap called "News". When he said yes, the guy was so surprised that he still believes and listen to media that lies like nothing else.

I'm not saying you shouldn't listen to news or something but take the information with a pinch of salt. It is also important to note that these news outfits - CNN, BBC, Punch, Times, Premium Time etc are in business for profit and will do everything to serve the purpose of the shareholders.

There goes a saying: "pictures paints a thousand words" and the media knows this and surprisingly, you won't imagine how easy it is to manipulate this so called pictures to serve a purpose, especially with the advent of programs like Photoshop. Even President Buhar's media aids has been caught manipulating images. You can quote me on that.

Shehu Sani Fires Back At El’ Rufai - You’ve Now Been Reduced From A Dwarf To A Leper After Buhari Abandoned You

Tantrums and savagery has been the order of the day between former senator, Shehu Sani and his political adversary Nasir Elrufai of Kano State. Sometimes I wonder if out political elites are not the thugs we sort to remove.

The former lawmaker, who represented Kaduna Central at the Senate, Shehu Sani has reacted to a comment credited to the governor of Kano State, Mallam Nasir El’ Rufai, who on Thursday said Sani had been reduced to a mere “blogger” since his defeat in the last general elections.

In Sani's reaction, - El’Rufai has been reduced from “dwarf” to a leper after being abandoned by President Muhammad Buhari and his men.

In a statement issued late on Thursday, Sani blasted El’ Rufai saying the Kano State governor was busy focusing on his presidential ambition while kidnappers had taken over his state. His statement read in part:

“I’m pleased to have reduced the height of El-Rufai from a dwarf to a leper who was rejected by the Governors forum.

“Mr El-Rufai, I’m not responsible for removing your name from the entourage of those who traveled to Japan with Mr President after wasting your three days in Abuja. Eat Yahuza Suya, since you missed the Sushi.

“El-Rufai is more focused on his presidential ambition, while his state is under the siege of Kidnappers”.

He however advised El’ Rufai to face the face of thoes who threw away his list of ministers and also threw out his luggage from President Buhari’s Japan trip.

“He is still obsessed with the World Bank Loans and using it as an excuse to justify his incompetence, while his counterparts in other states are busy commissioning and executing projects.

“Since you are still angry for not getting the loan, I can help you with some high heels shoes to increase your height,” said Sani in the statement.

Haha, Sani is indeed a clown and his undoubtedly knows how to deal with a slugger like El' Rufai.
