PoliticsRe: Kogi State Bread Levy/Tax by expliciit: 8:42am On Nov 13, 2020
Kogi has been very unfortunate in terms of leadership, this was a governor who kept borrowing money like kilode in his first tenure: Before he came on board Kogi debt profile is less than #25B, please go and check Kogi debt profile now is over #100Billion, and there is nothing to show for it in around the state, Check a state like Ebonyi that Kogi takes more federal allocation more than, even in terms of INternal revenue Kogi generates more than Ebonyi, look at the development in Ebonyi , while Kogi is like a slump. The governor has borrowed too much money so no bank is interested in giving him money anymore, so what the government resolve to do now is pay civil servants % of their salaries, including pensionaires like my mum who takes #10,000 as pension the government has slashed it to 5k no explanations for all these deductions and the stealing goes on. Kogi commissioner for finance was a guy who works in zenith bank here in Lokoja, these are people we know, when a friend show me the numbers of houses the commissioner wife’s owns in Lokoja, so many multiple flats, I just wander the greed that is driving these guys in government , the masses bears the pain including those who took #5000 from them before voting for them and those who did not vote for them

I stay very close to the federal medical centre, I watch helplessly the way people rush their patients to the pharmacy shops opposite the medical centre because the medical centre is closed, and the funny thing about pharmacy shop is that test are not carried out to know the underlying health issues. What a shame.
PoliticsRe: Patients Are Dying’ — Rep Begs Ehanire To Reopen Kogi Medical Centre by expliciit(op): 3:45am On Oct 31, 2020
Kogi cry cry commissioner of health come tell your boss to sign the document given to him by the federal ministry of health that such occurrence will not happen again, ie thugs will not invade the centre again, because we heard from reliable sources that is what is delaying the reopening of the place and the tatatata governor refused to sign unless the CMD is removed
PoliticsPatients Are Dying’ — Rep Begs Ehanire To Reopen Kogi Medical Centre by expliciit(op): 3:40am On Oct 31, 2020
Tajudeen Yusuf, a house of representatives member from Kogi, has appealed to Osagie Ehanire, minister of health, to reopen the federal medical centre in the state.
The medical centre has been closed since July after an attack by thugs.

The thugs disrupted a press conference where the management of the hospital was planning to request for a COVID-19 screening centre and speak on challenges faced by the medical institution.

The hoodlums also vandalised some parts of the hospital.
In a statement on Friday, Yusuf said the closure of the hospital “has meant more deaths for patients whose health complications would have been better managed at FMC Lokoja”.

“Four months ago, FMC Lokoja, the only federal health facility in the confluence state offering quality, professional services to indigenes and residents in the state, was closed on the orders of the federal ministry of health following an alleged invasion of the hospital by thugs,” the legislator said.

“Since then, our people have been travelling all the way to Abuja or Akure, Ibadan and Lagos for health conditions that could otherwise be treated at FMC Lokoja; patients with prior medical appointments now face the rigours of travelling, even at the risk of further complicating their health challenges.

Many indigent patients are now forced to live in precarious conditions and several of those who can afford the trips to Abuja or other cities face increased likelihood of death.

“People from all three senatorial districts and seven federal constituencies in Kogi State are stridently appealing to the conscience of the Minister and others in authority for the re-opening of FMC, Lokoja.

“The centre has some of the best hands in most fields of medical care, including expert eye surgeons and one of the very best cardiologists in Nigeria.”

The lawmaker added that the “senselessness of a few irrational elements” should not be the basis for which Kogi residents are punished.

You see the reason why any investment government is involved is never profitable, because all what the government representatives will be doing is making returns to themselves while the government looses, imagine 11 years. PoliticsRe: Saka Audu Weeps As He Inspects Vandalized Medical Equipment by expliciit: 7:31pm On Oct 29, 2020
I said it before, why were the equipment not deployed?
akuto:
Is the Commissioner of Health telling us that scarce equipment like Magnetic Resonance Imaging Machines (MRI), Computer Tomography Machines, Digital Mammography, Digital Radiography was in a store. These ought to be deployed immediately procured. Only consumables and vaccines should be stored. This is what we get when a contract is executed for selfish gains without the people at heart. Who buys these expensive medical equipment and keep them in the store?

This is a kangaroo tears...!! Is that why his oga ordered his zombie thugs to be shooting people randomly at close range in their capital lokoja...over 20 people have died and lots injured...facts find that the oga even direct their govt hospital not to treat any gunshot wounds expecting those shot to die if they didn't die from the initial salvo....!!

The tears they gave Kogi people is way beyond these kangaroo tears...!!!
PoliticsRe: Kogi Commissioner Weeps Because Of Looted Medical Equipment by expliciit: 5:47pm On Oct 29, 2020
Why is he weeping? The trauma and the pain your governor has subjected people to may you and your generation reap it in triple fold. Please anyone who is in Lokoja please should counter my claim, The federal medical centre is a federal government agency, the place has been under lock and key for over 5 months now the stupid he goat commissioner can’t weep for that, courtesy of your wicked boss yeye Bello all because the CMD of the hospital refused to all guys tell lies regarding the covid19 cases, the next thing is to send thugs to attack a federal government agency, from a reliable source they said yeye Bello is lobbying is agent of darkness at federal level to get the CMD removed. Mr Commissioner do you know the number of people dying daily as a result of the action of the governor. Tell me how many consultants can the state hospital pay for not even up to 10, the federal medical centre have over 80 consultants in the federal medical centre just imagine they are just drawing their salary while the people are dying, this including your own people, God at the appropriate time will visit all of you bastard. Now he is shedding crocodile tears
AgricultureRe: Poultry Or Cassava Farming by expliciit: 10:25pm On Oct 28, 2020
I needed to check on the farm at least once in a week like those other farmers around do, I normally come from another state to farm around there, so I just concentrate on farming maize and harvest and dry and sale off, because during rainy season there are alternative for the Fulani heardmen so they hardly touch your farm except for wickedness

AgricultureRe: Dilema Of A Nairaland Farmer by expliciit: 8:56pm On Oct 28, 2020
The rain is almost gone already planting cassava I think maybe too risky now.Why don’t you go with the poultry?
AgricultureRe: Poultry Or Cassava Farming by expliciit: 8:42pm On Oct 28, 2020
Farming cassava can be profitable or the other way round, currently with the cost of food stuff already up, people who have cassava really made money this year, from experience around iseyin area a Peugeot pickup is about 140k, same pick up was sold for about #28-30k. Last year. Lucky you if Fulani people did not visit your farm, this is the experience around the dry season when there is no rain the Fulani herdsmen deliberately move their cattle into people’s farm, and another funny thing about cassava you need to cultivate in large acres if you want anything meaningful in times of profit . I deliberately don’t cultivate it because of the Fulani people because you always be in constant fight with them, twice they have eaten up my cassava farm and each time I make sure i involve civil defence, they better than men in Black around that Iseyin area because I got compensated for the damages done to the farm, though I have stopped cultivating cassava now
PoliticsRe: How Come Police Stations In Nigeria Don't Have Computers? by expliciit: 8:25pm On Oct 28, 2020
The funny thing about them is that the report they collect so much money for is written in an exercise book or even a sheet of paper , I had the experience when I went to bail someone who was arrested some years back
eagleu:
If they use computers and other modern tools, then they will loose money they usually collect to write a report, file the report, and retrieve the reports when needed.
And you think that the IG has never heard about computer?
