Crisis returned to Ekiti State on Wednesday as gunmen attacked the All Progressives Congress Secretariat and jubilant members of the party. The APC members had just returned from the streets of Ado Ekiti where they had gone to celebrate the victory of the APC candidate, Maj. Gen. Muhammadu Buhari (retd.), in the Saturday’s Presidential election. The state Publicity Secretary, Taiwo Olatubosun, who addressed journalists in Ado Ekiti after the attack, said the gunmen came in three Hilux vans with Government House number plates with three men in Police uniform sitting in the front. Accusing Governor Ayodele Fayose and the Police of complicity in the attack, he said the party had earlier got information that plan was being hatched by some top officials in the government house to prevent any celebration in the state. He alleged that the gunmen were members of a killer gang sent to disrupt the APC victory party by the governor. But Fayose said the attack was a self-sponsored attack by the APC to make it look like an attack from outside, urging the people to disregard the allegations. Olatubosun wondered why the hoodlums attacked the Secretariat unchallenged in the presence of a detachment of police led by the Divisional Police Officer of the Ologede Police Station, Ado Ekiti, that had provided security for the victory party. According to him, the gunmen brandishing guns, cutlasses and axes, rained bullets on the secretariat and destroyed no fewer than five cars parked at the secretariat. Olatunbosun mentioned Femi Ogunleye (aka Akilapa), Basiru Ajagbe, Ayo Terrorist and Opeyemi Atiaro as the leaders of the attack. The intensity of the attack, he said, forced party members and passers-by to scamper for safety. “We had few members left when they came because some of our teeming members who held a peaceful victory procession were already leaving before they came. They shot at our secretariat. “We were aware that they were coming but we never knew Governor Fayose could do anything funny because of the mood of the nation, though, we heard him boasting that he won’t allow anyone to mark the victory of Buhari in Ekiti State,” he said. But the Commissioner of Police, Taiwo Lakanu, while denying that Police supervised the attack said the timely response of his men led by the Area Commander saved the situation. “We received information that there was an attack on APC secretariat and I deployed a team there led by Area Commander. They succeded in flushing out the miscreants. “We are still making effort to arrest the miscreants. We have information on those who perpetrated the act. Our timely arrival scared away the miscreants. I am telling you categorically that my men will never be involved. That is a mere exaggeration. Ologede DPO was not there.” complimentary source:http://saharareporters.com/2015/04/01/gunmen-disrupt-ekiti-apc-victory-party-attack-secretariat |

The victory celebrations of APC supporters ended abruptly this afternoon as men believed to be thugs of the ruling party(PDP) attacked the crowd with guns and cutlasses.Eye witness account said that some of the celebrating APC supporters were seen attempting to tear Jonathan/Sambo wall posters during their victory match through Ajilosun/ejigbo area of the town. Some were seen bleeding while at least one fatally injured person was carted away by a State owned Toyota Hilux Pick Up. It will be recalled that Fayose imposed a dusk till dawn(7.30pm-6.00am) curfew on the town yesterday to stop "unnecessary celebrations". Source:Eye witnesses (More pictures later)

It gets to this moment, the moment when lies run their full course and ugly twisted tales are laid bare. It’s the moment of truth. Four years and 10 months after Goodluck Jonathan assumed office as president, it’s time for reckoning. In Jonathan’s early days in office, I remember a conversation I had with someone very close to him, someone who had known him since his days as deputy governor in Bayelsa and who became very close to him when, as vice president, he had oversight of the Bureau for Public Enterprises which oversaw the privatisation process, including the independent power projects. After one of his numerous meetings with Jonathan in those early days in 2010 following the death of President Umaru Yar’Adua, I teased my acquaintance that he had become part of an inner circle preparing Jonathan to stand election in 2011. He said he was sure Jonathan would run, but added that “the man vowed that even if he did – and he’ll do so very reluctantly – he will not stand again for election if the power situation in the country did not improve.” On that, he said, the man was categorical. On September 28, 2010, when Jonathan formally declared his intention to stand election, his second promise from a long list was: “We will fight for all Nigerians to have access to power.” It’s been five years since. You must ask yourself today if Jonathan has kept his word. I’m not talking about a privatisation framework that completely ignored the gas master plan and shared public assets largely among cronies, with little regard for due diligence. I’m not talking about the fraudulent commissioning and re-commissioning of power plants that had been commissioned by former President Olusegun Obasanjo years ago. I’m not talking about lies in newspaper adverts that power generation has reached 5,500MW when, in fact, it is less than 3,700MW as you read this piece. I’m not talking about TAN adverts, which some estimate to have cost over N5billion in dodgy funds. Nor am I talking about a recent memo by Vice President Namadi Sambo to Jonathan asking for at least N42billion to buy meters for consumers, only for the money to be diverted and shared for PDP campaign. I’m just saying you should ask yourself a straightforward question: after five years and billions of naira, do you have more electricity in your home today than you had in 2010? In that same speech by Jonathan, which is available online at http://www.vanguardngr.com/2010/09/100003/), he said, “We will fight corruption.” In words and in deed, no government has embraced and fed on corruption as generously as has Jonathan’s government. Sometimes, I think he does it without meaning harm. He just does not know how to run a government differently. That’s why even though the Nuhu Ribadu committee found that N2trillion had been stolen in the subsidy scam, Jonathan ended up using the report to prop his armchair. That’s why, twice in public interviews, he has made a distinction between stealing and corruption. That’s why even though serving ministers in his government collected N120billion in backdoor payments for Malabu Oil, he has not lifted a finger. And that’s why his government cannot account for N150billion stolen by thieving pension officials who still enjoy presidential protection. The theft list is formidable and pervasive, but I promise you that not a single one in this column is false or mentioned maliciously. I have, in fact, left out the famous $20billion flagged by Sanusi Lamido Sanusi. That figure will get worse if you tear yourself off Diezani Alison-Madueke’s skirt for a moment and ask what the government has done with $81.3billion received from the sale of 445,000bpd of crude oil allocated to NNPC for almost five years when the price was not less than $100 per barrel. Part of the waste trail has been out there for everyone to see in the last six weeks – in the vile political campaigns and bribes in place of honest effort that should have been invested to govern in the past five years. In 2011, under this same Jonathan who promised to “fight corruption,” 450MHz, a premium spectrum valued at $50million, was sold to an incompetent licensee for $6million and a waiver of N1billion granted by ministers Omobola Johnson and Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala in a transaction in which the NCC boss had a vested interest. The first leg of the 800MHz was sold for 13million euros in Nigeria – an asset which Germany sold for 1.53billion euros around the same time. If Jonathan was really interested in fighting corruption, he would have had the back of Bashir Gwandu, who not only opposed the NCC bazaar, but blew the whistle on the fraud. But Gwandu was shafted and removed, only for a competent court to overturn his illegal and unjustified removal. And Jonathan wants to come back? This is the moment of truth. In his own words, he promised to “fight to create jobs for all Nigerians.” In his recent campaign promises, he has even promised to create two million jobs every year! Since we can only judge him by his record, figures from the NBS show that his best has been 2.2million jobs in three years. If you believe that a man who could not create more than roughly 730,000 jobs a year will create two million yearly at a time when civil servants are going without salaries because the government is broke, that’s fine. But you cannot claim tomorrow that his promise was counterfeit. I’ve read about the dubious promises of thousands of kilometres of roads and the claims of better education, healthcare and fast trains. These promises were made five years ago and they are being repeated for our enjoyment in colourful newspaper adverts. How can you forget that the longest teachers’ strike in years – five months and three weeks by university teachers – has been under Jonathan? As for healthcare, his own man and secretary of the Centenary committee charity ball, Kingsley Esegbue, said in October 2013 that Nigerians spend N250billion on medical tourism. So where did they spend the money on healthcare? And the fast trains? It’s a lie that has no second part. Security has been a nightmare, with extraordinary incompetence that led to the kidnap of the 279 Chibok girls and the killing of over 12,000 persons including the brutal murder of young school children, before this government outsourced security, its basic function, to mercenaries and neighbouring countries. If Nigeria were a company, the shareholders would have fired Jonathan long ago. But if after nearly five years of incredible incompetence and failed promises you sincerely believe that you must vote him as reward for his poor performance, that’s fine. The die is cast. They are out there as you read this piece, sharing bribes amassed from NNPC and deploying force where their bribes cannot reach. I know we have an incredible capacity to quibble and move on, but let this be clear: we cannot escape the consequences of the choice we make tomorrow for another four years. One thousand one hundred words are enough….

The All Progressives Congress has said it has uncovered a plot by the administration of President Goodluck Jonathan and the Peoples Democratic Party to render card readers ineffective on election day. It says this move is to justifying their (Jonathan and PDP) fears about the use of the card readers and ultimately to scuttle the polls. This allegation was contained in a statement in Lagos on Monday by its National Publicity Secretary, Alhaji Lai Mohammed. APC said, ”We can authoritatively inform Nigerians that the morbid fear of card readers by the Jonathan Administration and the PDP has now been translated into concrete action. They have hired an Israeli, Gyora Berger, to do the dirty job of jamming the card readers. ”To those who might accuse us of crying wolf, they should realise that every alarm we have raised in the past has been true, including that the Jonathan administration was pushing for the postponement of the elections and that they are mortally afraid of the use of PVCs and card readers” The party added that the Israeli was hired specifically to develop three prototype card reader jammers, which he had accomplished, developing three of such jammers (25 metres, 50 metres and 100 metres range) to be carried in the pockets of trusted PDP stalwarts on election day with a view to disabling the card readers within the state radius. The party said apart from disabling the card readers, the jammers would also disable all telephones, iPads, etc within the states radius of those carrying them on their persons. It equally alleged that an order had been placed for 75,000 pieces of the jammers at a cost of $200 per piece, bringing the total cost to $15m. APC claimed the jammers would be air freighted to Nigeria next week. It added, ”The plan is to deploy the card jammers to the areas deemed to be the strongholds of the APC, such as the North-west, North-East, North-Central and the South-West. ”It is the planned procurement of the jammers that has given the confidence to the administration and party officials to continuously boast that Buhari will never rule Nigeria, and also the reason why a chief of the PDP boasted last week that the card readers won’t work, thus advising INEC to make alternative arrangements.” The party said the Israeli, who had agreed to do the dirty job for “a desperate Jonathan administration and the PDP, is an enemy of Nigeria and Nigerians, who does not mind if the nation burns, as long as he has collected his pay for the dirty job for which he has been hired.” Source: http://www.punchng.com/news/apc-alleges-planned-card-readers-sabotage-on-election-day/ |

A Nigerian Army Captain, who leaked the audio evidence of how some top officials of the Federal Government and the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, used the Nigerian Army and other security agencies to rig the governorship election in Ekiti and Osun States last year, has spoken out about the matter. In a statement entitled: “How Nigerian Army personnel were used to rig Ekiti and Osun States Gubernatorial Elections 2014″, Captain Sagir Koli gave details of all that transpired between himself, his commanding officer, two ministers and some politicians prior to the elections in Ekiti state. He also spoke about the elaborate plans made to replicate the Ekiti scenario in Osun state last August. See the full text of his submission below: Staff In Confidence How the Nigerian Army personal were used to Rig Ekiti and Osun States Gubernatorial Elections 2014. 1. I was officially deployed as the 32, Artillery Brigade Intelligence Officer to provide credible Intelligence to the success of Ekiti State governorship election. At about 2030 hours on June 2014, a day to the election proper, the commander, Brigadier General AA Momoh told me to escort him to a place where the State Minister for Defence wanted to see him. Reaching the place (Spotless Hotel in Ado- Ekiti), which serves as coordinating campaign office for the PDP candidate Mr. Ayodele Fayose, we met the Minister himself, Minister of Police Affairs, Mr Fayose, Mr. Iyiola Omisore, one Honoruable Abdulkareem and host of other top PDP chieftains. The Outcome of what was discussed that gave the party victory during the election are as follows: A. They told brigade commander that they are on presidential assignment and they cannot afford to fail. Also, they told him that they were there to remove any obstacles that would block their victory and the commander is the key; therefore, he has no option but to collaborate with them. They said, if the commander play(ed) with them, his promotion is in their hands and the president and the chief of army Staff would be very angry with him and he knows what that means. B. They directed that soldiers on election duty must work hand in hand with the PDP agents and give them all the necessary support they needed without limitation. C. They ordered the arrest of selected APC stalwarts that could greatly assist the party during the election including the DG campaign organisation for Dr Fayemi Mr. Bimbo Daramola. APC members in Ekiti State should be interviewed of what they went through. We were forced to do a dirty job for them with a threat of court martial. D. They directed that soldiers must block APC members’ access to the electorates but all PDP supporters’ movement anywhere using a designated sticker with inscription, “National Security Task” it should be noted that some of these PDP agents were given NYSC uniforms because we were well briefed by the commander. E. Chief Chris Uba who also said he was from the presidency entered Ado- Ekiti a day to the election accompanied by 16 commissioned Army officers (Major and blow) led by Major Ujung of 82 Base Ammunitions Depot from Nigeria Army 82 Division Enugu. Their major task was to effect arrest and move secret materials and money. This money was brought from CBN Umuahia. F. Chief Chris Uba was physically present with the soldiers and the commander at Forward Operational Base (FOB) close to government house in Ado- Ekiti. He personally supervised the movement of the strike force. This act of a civilian directing military operation is highly unprofessional and tarnishing of the military discipline and regimentation. G. Chief Chris Uba entered Ado-Ekiti a day to the election accompanied by military/police escort with 2 black tinted Hilux Vans with “secret” materials according to him. Items inside the vans were 1000/500 Naria notes closed and cloned marked ballot papers. H. Chris Uba, Minster of police Affairs, Obanikoro and Co said this is just a test run that should not fail and its to be done in SS and SW states, moreover, Rivers State to make sure Rotimi Ameachi bow to the federal government. 2. Based on the aforementioned, they succeeded in rigging the Ekiti State election with victory in all the 16 LGAs. These really inspired them and they were with the euphoria that same would happen in Osun State. In preparation of the plans, they confirmed the posting of the commander and task him to prepare for Osun State election (remember that Osun State is not part of 32 Artillery Brigade Area of operations) but they ordered the Nigerian Army Construction Engineers Commander Brigadier General Adeyemi to proceed for 3 weeks compulsory leave until after the election just to pave way for General Momah to repeat the same dirty work that he has done to them in Ekiti State. 3. In build-up towards the Osun State elections, the commander directed me as his intelligence officer who has worked with him perfectly in Ekiti State to go ahead and recce the area as well as familiarize myself with all stake holders for the election. While I and my team were working for the operations, the commander was in Abuja re-strategizing how to use the military to rig the elections. Feelers based on my discussion with him on phone confirmed to me beyond reasonable doubt that we were repeating the same compromise in Osun State. My heart got burnt and become disenchanted and in total disagreement with such being professional junior officer aspiring to become a General tomorrow. 4. However efforts to explain my grievances prove abortive due to the military dictatorial hierarchy in channel of communication vis a vis threat of court martial from the commander. I resorted to alert the APC high level officials with the aim of stopping Army from partisan involvement during election. A week to the election, the commander came back from Abuja and he made revelations being their final arrangement on how the PDP was to become victorious in Osun state as follows: A. After welcome address by the commander, he thanked all his staff officers, and said “you all know who we are working for, so you guys MUST follow my direction. I am working for the presidency and the ruling party as you all know, is no longer a hidden thing” for those of you who are moles among us, the presidency is watching you, be careful because the consequence will be severe. I learnt that some of you went to Lagos and met with Tinubu without knowing that his line is already bugged at Abuja, then we are in trouble, but before somebody will kill me I have to kill him first” (referring to me). The commander asked how many of us were involved, that I should say the truth, he now held a secret talk with the operation officer and military police officer to tie and handcuff me to Army HQs, from there I know that my life was in danger. B. The commander categorically told us that the soldiers were to work under PDP agents while their platoon commanders only supervise the soldiers conduct. He briefed the officers that were working the list of agents and those to be arrested at the SGF office in Abuja and once the list is out everybody must work with accordingly. C. The commander briefed us on the formation of a strike-force in conjunction with police, DSS and NSCDC and he would command the strike force directly. Their duty was to work directly with the PDP aspirant for arrest and intimidation of APC supporters in their strong hold. D. Money was shared openly at the NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp Ede to the strike force to ensure compliance. 5. Having said all of the above, I must state before concluding that: A, My brother Adamu Koli a 15yrs old school boy was under detention since on the 2nd August 2014. The boy stays with me at 32 Artillery Brigade Akure. B. Brigadier General AM Dikko who they consulted initially for the scam insisted that the army must remain professional and apolitical, was disgracefully removed from his command which he served only for 7 months just to allow General Momoh to carry out the dirty work. 6. Last but not the least, to further substantiate my submission and how my dear-loving, hard-achieving noble calling was de-professionalized; here is the recorded voices of the Ministers, the aspirant and the Brigade Commander. Other officers present at the hotel were Major Aliyu and captain Adegoke who were also part of the officers that escorted commander to the venue where the compromise was made. Also conversation between the commander and Abuja could be traced via MTN, GLO, on the under listed phone numbers (between 20-21 June 2014). A. 08037033694 B. 08055832835 7,Lastly, in order to strengthen the unity and continue existence of Nigeria, I call on the federal Government to desist from using the military for partisan politics. This is to avoid the military from being divided along ethnic and regional lines which is dangerous to the defence of the nation. I remain a patriotic Nigerian and a loyal professional Army officer, God bless you all Thank you for listening. The best approach to tackling problem behaviors in dogs is to prevent them from happening. Prevention Of Problem Behaviors Socialization and the creation of a proper living environment are key factors to avoiding problems. Try to imagine all of the elements of his life with humans that he will need to accept to be comfortable with us such as being bathed, walking on streets, vacuum cleaners, etc. Teach your dog that such things are not scary by slowly introducing him using treats, toys and praise. Another key prevention is to create a means of communication through training. Once you’ve taught the dog that calm behavior is frequently rewarded and that you control access to all of his favorite things, you have made a big step towards solving any problems that may come your way in the future. Keep the dog’s environment appropriate for him. Think about the amount of exercise he’s getting, whether his intellect is being challenged, or if he has enough opportunities to socialize with other dogs and people. Make sure his diet is good and his health is well maintained. Let him feel the confidence that comes from working for a living and the security or having a strong leader. Ask him for a behavior before giving his access to good stuff like the couch or his dinner. Finding Solutions: Many problems reported by dog owners are with behaviors that are instinctual to the dog such as barking, digging, pulling, jumping up, nipping, chewing etc. Others are things that we have accidentally trained into the dog such as barking for attention. It helps to try to understand what is the dog’s motivation for his behavior ? For example, why won’t your dog come to you when he’s playing with other dogs even though he “knows” what “come” means? If your dogchooses not to come to you sometimes it is probably because coming to you is not more rewarding than what he is currently doing. To help change that, when you call him, be sure you have a good treat and often times let him continue playing. Begin your practice with short distances. Below are some helpful steps to follow when trying to decide how to help your dog through any problem behavior: 1.Consider his environment and health. Is he getting enough exercise -both mental and physical, a good diet, enough sleep, etc? Could the misbehavior be due to a medical problem? 2.Prevent the misbehavior until you’ve had time to teach him what you want him to do. 3.Make sure that you are not accidentally rewarding the misbehavior. Hint: Any response could be interpreted by your dog as a reward! Ignore the misbehavior or give him a 5 minute time out in a safe but boring area. 4. Think of something that you could reward that would replace the misbehavior. For example, teach your dog to sit instead of jumping up to receive affection. Do your best to ask him for and reward the behavior you want before your dog begins to misbehave. Make sure your reward is of more value to your dog than the misbehavior. Practice the replacement behavior and reward the correct response, ignoring mistakes. Begin with challenges that are easy for him and then gradually increase the difficulty. 5.If your dog’s misbehavior is caused by fear, try to change his dog’s mind about the “scary thing” by pairing it with something he loves. For example: If your dog has a problem with the mail carrier, teach him that the mail carrier’s visit is followed by a super treat. He will soon begin to look forward to the mail carriers visits. This technique works best if you also work to prevent him from getting so “worked up”. 6.Compromise and be patient! {Source:http://expressdogs001..com/ } |
Ekiti state post election drama took a terrible turn TONIGHT as the Ex Chairman of NURTW and a renown political thug of Governor Elect Fayose,Omolafe Aderiye was shot dead at the Ijigbo area of Ado Ekiti. . DickDastardly: Paid Propaganda!Sorry...you dont want to believe...its okay! Actually it is simply unbelievable...but its all over the news. |
There was confusion at the premises of the Ekiti State High Court on Thursday morning as thugs believed to be loyal to the state Governor-elect, Ayodele Fayose, allegedly beat up a judge, Justice John Adeyeye, for being allegedly rude to Mr. Fayose. The pandemonium that ensued scuttled the Ekiti State Governorship Election petition Tribunal sitting billed to hold today at the High court, Ado-Ekiti, as judicial workers abandoned their duty post and ran for safety. Witnesses said the pro-Fayose thugs had besieged the court premises as early as 6a.m., while a detachment of policemen from the police headquarters were also seen on major streets and around the court. Justice Adeyeye of High Court 3, who was miffed by the huge number of the thugs as they surged towards the court premises had approached Mr. Fayose and urged him to prevail on “his supporters” to keep a safe distance from the court premises, the witnesses said. An enraged Mr. Fayose was said to have shouted the judge down while some even said he slapped him. Immediately, thugs numbering about 20 pounced on Justice Adeyeye, beat him up and tore his clothes, while his co workers scampered and shouted for help. An attempt by another judge, Justice C. Akintayo to intervene and rescue his colleague who has been beaten to a pulp, earned him his own dirty slaps while his clothes were torn into shreds. The thugs thereafter made for the office of the Chief Judge and destroyed court records there, while smashing the windows. The CJs clerk was beaten into a state of coma while the CJ was ferried into safety by the security agents. Following the development, judicial workers hurriedly shut down the court premises thereby preventing any court proceeding for hours before the police fired tear gas canisters to disperse the surging crowd. Justice Adeyeye is presently receiving treatment at a private hospital in Ado-Ekiti. A similar scenario had played out on Monday when suspected PDP thugs stormed the high court premises, attacked the trial judge, some litigants and judicial workers in the bid to prevent hearing in a case to determine Mr. Fayose’s eligibility for the June 21 governorship election.(Though the governor elect was not physically present on Monday) It will be recalled that E-Eleven’ and Citizens Party had gone to the court to challenge the eligibility of Fayose and asked it to stop him from participating in the last election. The court ruled earlier in the that it has jurisdiction to hear the case and was about to continue the hearing today. source:https://www.premiumtimesng.com/news/168641-breaking-pandemonium-in-ekiti-court-as-pro-fayose-thugs-beat-up-judge.html http://www.naijalately.com http://www.today.ng/news/incredible-fayose-slaps-high-court-judge-orders-thugs-to-beat-him-up/ |
