Crime / Re: Kogi Pastor Arrested For Selling ‘Bullet Proof Water’ by ExtremeDot: 9:05am On Sep 22, 2022
My opinion:
The world greatest con men are Pastors.

They can easily have the minds of men in their palms, and play with such minds to their benefit. Just like a trick.

When you come under the umbrella of religion, the minds of many will stop being coherent.

No deference between this "pastor" bullet proof water and the healing water weh my grand mama buy for TB Joshua church in the year 2010.

Hmmmn life is mysterious, the weird part is over here her body is heavily guarded by thousands ,watched and honored by millions, but over there in eternity she has the same status and is treated equally with that unknown beggar just ten miles off London bridge who died the same day she died and nobody even knew except the cops and paramedics at the scene. Hmmmn LIFE.

How did you come about that?
Have you been to the afterlife/eternity?

Then, only the super rich and privileged had the opportunity to watch the Queen's coronation live on that day, nor even listened to the broadcast on radio.

Peacefull, how far na? Hope you dey fine?

This thread was created in 2017(5 years ago).

Your instinct was giving you signs that your Oga might not be completely truthful with you, as a married man should be to his wife.

I want to believe that was one of the primary reasons that triggered you to discover Nairaland, created this thread, as you needed to know if his behaviour was due to his culture as an Igbo man from Nigeria.

You got lots of opinions from Nigerians here.

After 5 solid years, you updated this thread stating that you got to find out about your Oga having a Nigerian wife he married in the year 2013. Including a daughter.

Days later, you came back to denounce your claim and restated your commitment and complete love for your Oga.

Hmmmmn... Indeed, True Love is blind.

I do feel your soul/mind is similar to that of a sweet little child; craves love, radiates love, forgives on the spot, naive and gullible.

Know this, When one is in love, her judgements regarding her partner will always be biase, as it will be covered with emotions and not logic.

My advice: Whenever you are in doubt regarding your Oga, try not to involve your emotions but instead, apply logical reasoning. I doubt you can do that though, as you are obviously deep in LOVE.

I wish you forever Happiness in your marriage.

Without a single remorse, nor regret, be bold, drop your resignation.

You still need to think of how to convert your current excess free time to something valuable, like learning a skill that is affordable and valuable.

Is that how it works?
One would need to refer other persons into the company as well?

Henry1200:
A friend chatted me up for info about this said company, so i decided to do my research.
In as much as Qnet as a company is real, the approach its operators in Nigeria adopt is totally scam. This is the main reason why MLM businesses don't thrive in Nigeria or atleast to say they only favour the early birds.
How can you just tell someone that is looking for a job to survive that all he needs to do is register, sell some product to readily available customers and become a millionaire. That sounds very absurd.
First there's no readily available customers anywhere you have to canvas for them.
Secondly sales is an act and not everyone knows the dynamic of selling so they are bound to suffer and frustrate doing it.
Thirdly they initially hide the Networking aspect till you have committed your hard earned money then you start hearing that you need to bring in someone to register under you.

My take is: tell people the truth and let them decide if they want to join you or not, stop manipulating people with lies and sugar coated virtual reality. Its hard to make money in Nigeria now.
Selah.

A relative of mine is currently on my neck to join this company. The company, is located in Port Harcourt - Owerri Road. Port Harcourt.

He said, he joined last month. He paid a sum of 550,000 Naira only, for registration. The money is ment for his necessary documentations. He is currently undergoing his two months training.

Now, he has been calling and preaching how juicy the remuneration of the company is. Stating they pay 160USD every week.

Now, he has been on my neck stating he learnt there is an opening for new intake and he wants me to come join him and take up the form, as one would need to also pay the 550K as well.

My brother, what do you think?
Is their mode of operation that straight forward? Or,
This is another marketing/networking/referral kind of shit?

What is the logic behind prospective employee paying 550,000 Naira to enroll. After the training, the company pays them 160USD weekly?

Why not find a way to take the 550,000Naira (800USD) from the employee's initial remunerations until it is complete.

This thing deh confuse me.

Coldie:
So Abuja Kaduna Kano road project is more expensive than second Niger bridge but they said they had to toll second Niger bridge cause there was no money to build it. There’s no money to build it but there’s money to build a more expensive road somewhere else

This is a very smart observation.

Onitsha is a commercial city.
The amount of money circulating around the Onitsha axis every business day cannot be ignored.

A lot of business persons and business vehicles move along that road every single business day.

Our leaders cannot take their eyes away from that goldmine.
So, to take that advantage, they will always find an excuse.

Obi... Atiku... Tinubu...

Same individuals, but different political affiliations.

Getting the Nigeria of our dream (a very wild dream) goes beyond Obi or Atiku or Tinubu.

We as cizitens are not any better. The citizens are equally as currupt and bad as the leaders.

But for now, we should keep deceiving ourselves that Nigeria's Messiah is Obi, Atiku or Tinubu.
