Why did he petition the Police? Just begin to sing already, ok?

He looks horrible. I don't fancy light-complexioned men and I don't know why. From his facial expression, he appears to be wicked.

If the accountant is earning that much. Then how much is the MD earning. People are deceiving themselves. That's why the country is like this

Just because you work in a N50K per month company, does not mean other companies don't pay much.

Instead of you to use their stories as a point of contact to divine elevation, and work towards achieving such feat, you're there stagnating yourself with your backward thoughts.

Ask people working in the Oil & Gas, Multinational Corporations, the United Nations, Bankers, etc how much they earn in a month, you're there encouraging yourself that your present level is the height every other career person must not exceed.

I strongly dislike crossing paths with pessimists. All they usually see is the o in zero, they never trained their minds to see the O in Opportunity.

Awon 'it is never going to be possible'!

Please, don't quote me again. Your mindset dey make me yarn, abeg.

I don't know why people are lying in this formum. Some will come saying they earn 500k a month, some will say 700k. Is it not the same Nigeria that there is no work no money, no food that we all are living? Where are you guys seeing the jobs and big big monthly pay? Nigerians are indeed hypocrite and liars

What are you talking about?
Na wa for you o!

I have a friend working in Apapa whose monthly net pay is slightly above N1.2m. A chartered accountant, have a master's degree and other certifications.

So why are doubting that someone is earning N700,000? Just keep on upgrading yourself and praying for God's divine favour and breakthrough? With God, nothing is impossible, ok?

Workload is the amount of work you'd prefer your wife to do to the point of exhaustion, rather than spending 2% of your income on a cleaner.

Y'all wicked men will buy expensive phones for your girlfriends that contribute absolutely nothing to your lives, but watch your wife at home work herself to a state of exhaustion and unconsciousness.

Can I give you E-hug, please?

I had this girl visit me some weeks back, we are long time friends. She came and we gisted and vibed but at some point she started giving me massive and heavy sexual green lights.

I did like I didn’t understand any of those her sexual tactics until she grew tired and left lol. I realized after dat day she ignored my messages and calls. Not surprised.

In As much as I love sex ,I’m also very cautious of who I sleep with , some women would destroy your whole life through sex , dis one isn’t Nigerian movie it’s ducking real . If you share your body with just any woman as a man then your seriously doomed.

Cause normally why would a woman be pissed dat I refused to sleep with her , if she didn’t have diabolic motives ? It’s crushed her ego and she felt bad. Her seduction couldn’t work on me lol cause I sensed her evil intentions.

So ladies why do y’all get mad when a man refuses to sleep with you ?? I mean u should be happy u meet such kinda men cause they are usually very rare, but y’all get mad instead why

File Photo (for illustration)

First and foremost you're a good writer. I like your writing style.

Secondly, I am happy you didn't succumb to her satanic plan.

I usually give maximum respect to men with self control, unfortunately they're very few that exist now, like you rightly said.

Finally, the sin of fornication and adultery have led many (great) people to some incurable diseases, unfulfilled destiny, and even untimely death.

Many are out there to destroy lives through sex. Let's be very conscious of that. When you live a life in Christ Jesus, you'll found out that there's a way that seems right unto a man, but the end therefore is the way of destruction/ death. And number one on that list, I tell you is the sin of sexual immorality.

Career / Re: Remote Workers: How Do You Cope With Foreign Accents At Work? by extremelygolden: 8:19pm On Sep 01, 2023
ecolime:
A friend just got an international remote job but he is worried about communication with Native English speakers.

He aced the 4 stage interviews and has been given an offer. The pay is good considering the current exchange rate. He was offered $42,000 per annum.

Presently, he works with an audit firm and makes N1.9M NET monthly plus other side businesses.

The role was strictly for Inbound Pre-Qualification and Sales when he applied but at the final stage of the interview, adjustment was made in the JD which includes outbound sales.

Please note he understands and speaks English fluently but he has issues with thick American accents. The position is a Business Development role and it involves conversing extensively with Americans.

Any advise for him?

Let him form the habit of watching lots of American movies and documentaries. It'll help him a lot. Not only that, he should pay special attention on how they pronounce certain words. If I were him, I will go as far as recording their voices whenever they are acting.

Hope this helps.

Hey there! Not every woman is promiscuous, ok? For those of us one-man-woman, the hurt usually cuts soooo deep when the one we loved betrays us.

Marriage/ relationship these days nawa.

When you're cheating, please don't ever open your mouth to tell me "babe, you know I love you" because even before you finish uttering such gibberish, that thunder that has been doing press up for sometime now will manifest from no where! Nonsense!
I don't need your love, just give me my respect as your wife, ok?

A neighbour's daughter of all people! Disgusting and highly disrespectful.

Sis, l don't know how you're going to cope with this findings. If I were in your shoes (I forbid it anyway), I'll take a trip to think things over, then when I come back I'll confront him with all the evidence I have and execute whichever decisions I made during that trip.

The day I stopped looking into my husband's eyes, is the day I begin to shed every feeling I ever had for him, and I pray "may that day never come". Because I will take a walk right after that and I'll never look back.

FACT my neigor was retrenched and realise he waisted 8yrs of his life, his starting a business before the year ends, his advise to young graduate never work in a bank as a contract staff

That's just it! I know of someone who spent 12 years of his life as a contract staff. Stagnated at a spot for that 12 years, without any promotion! Do you know what happened at last? After milking out his youthful years of working with highly wicked bank, they sacked him.

Reason you ask? The bank claimed he's above 40 and ought to have gotten to a certain level at that age. And whose fault when they heartlessly refused to promote him, and every year, they will employ youths his children's age to boss him around.

He naturally went into deep depression, and it took the Grace of God and the counsel of loved ones to pull him through.

Why did he spend so much years stagnated at a spot? He got carried away with false hope and unending-never-fulfilled-promises of the bank! Wearing suits, deceiving himself and everyone around him that he was a banker!

As at the last time I heard of him, he was an Uber driver, and I was so happy for him and his family.

So, let Op have a rethink before he goes to bury his destiny and future on the altar of one yeye lie-lie bank, as a contract staff!

People are resigning daily from their banking jobs, and you're heading right in, and as a contract staff? Please pause and think, and read my lips very slowly - BANKING HAS NO JOB SECURITY and likely NO JOB SATISFACTION!

They'll use you, and use you, then discard you when they get tired of you.
And as a contract staff, you have no single career prospect there - all those English in your employment letter, na wash!
Marketing what? The target na die!

If I were you, I will embark on a fast and seek the face of the Lord for this matter. The days working in the bank was everyone's dream, are long gone. Now, na stress, suffer head, beating deadlines, meeting and surpassing targets, and being butted out unexpectedly be their trademark.

But if you plan to leave the country in the nearest future, you can accept the offer, use them to get reference for the embassy, turn around, and give them a heavy kick on the butt in return, then japa.

All in all, I wish you well.

Is it the potash or pepper?

Why you no go purge when you get heart eat am alone without inviting a sister? You get heart sha. cheesy That's on the lighter side anyway.

Now, the reason could be that they added too much potash and/or seasoning or even pepper to the Nkwobi. You know our body systems differ. Try patronizing a different person, if you still get same experience/result, then know that your body doesn't accept such delicacies. You can then officially move over to sipping garri and groundnut cheesy like someone has earlier suggested, inugo.

From a friend though

Am the last born in my family and there are too many ups and downs and wahala in my family because it was a polygamous home and my father was one of the man I mistakenly ever met on earth and unlucky for me he is my father 😭😢
So how I wish I should start my life with my own fresh lineage from my wife and children. Like I don't want to be part of the father tree again.

I gave birth 3days ago and I don't want my son to bear my surname 🤔 I want my own name to be his surname so my father lineage will be cut off
☹️

Please is there any future implications in this decision?
Or rather something bad behind this decision??

Thanks 😌

My brother woke up one day with a question. He asked us who will bear his father's name if all of us including his future children keep bearing our family surname, which was the name of our paternal grandfather. He was also a polygamist
Here and there, the young man made up his mind and changed his surname to our father's direct native name. Some siblings joined him in changing theirs as well, but I maintained the family surname because I know that as soon as I get married, I will change all.
Unless by facial resemblance, otherwise if you visit us and we decide to introduce ourselves by our full names, you might begin to wonder why we all are bearing different surnames. cheesy

So do what makes you comfortable. And if it requires change of name in the dailies, you can go ahead with a classified advert. But try to be discrete about it for the time being.

It is so in your area?

That's the new price now. But some still sell Pepsi N200 though.

No they don't have that sort of travel scheme like Canada. The jobs i feel you can easily get outside Tech now have a tougher regulations, that is employers MUST advertise the job in EU/EEA for 10 days before employing a non EU/EEA resident.

Before it was not so...... So if say an employer advertise that job, someone in Romania can apply, and would be consider before you living in Africa. That is why African people resident in Italy, France are rushing down here. They just hop on a train, voila, they are in Sweden. But if nobody accept the job within 10 days, they start accepting CV from other parts...... We are working with some Swedish partners in the AGRICULTURE Sector to make harder, more power demanding jobs available for Africans, especially during winter season..... Winter is harsh, tough here, also the pay is good too. I trust Nigerians would like. Just keep following the thread. For now only those in the IT sector can
