TheGrandMaster: My car is at about 61k miles, and averagely from what i got on the internet failure is around 70k miles. Replacing the EIS cost about N198k then there is what is called the green key which is used to program the EIS to work with your old key that costs another N115k, i ordered a spare key for my car so my total bill shot up to about N500k with other sundry charges included. Thats why i advice you confirm replacement of the part from wherever you are buying so you dont go through that stressThis is real serious trouble TheGrandMaster. So such an expenses for just EIS failure? Wow if the engine packs up that will be a serious show. Issues like this makes people run away from the Benz. |
I just shake my head over your question addressed to Nairalanders. So are you telling us that you do not know the right thing to do without asking Nairalanders? Your sister's husband is asking you out which 99.9% of the people here including my humble self knows that it's wrong so what were you expecting as an advice? It means you are also nursing the same feeling as your sister's husband and all you want from Nairalanders is for some people to give you the support to sleep with him. Anyway do what you feel like after all it doesn't concern me,nonsense. |
Sweetlemon: My dad is a political king maker as far as my constituency is concerned! So for your dad to be a political king maker in your constituency, does that make you know a lot about your state? I really shake my head for you sister. |
Segzy23: A lot, depending on the part of the world you live in. In Europe, at least 60% of all new cars are manual. But not in Nigeria or even in the United States except one orders it from some part of Europe. Exactly so when you start, others will follow the trend of selling hybrid spare parts. ![]() |
Sweetlemon: Lolest!I wouldn't be suprised if you know little or nothing about the state you come from because there are a lot of Akwa-ibomites in Lagos that turned Yoruba over nite just like one Ikot Ekpene lady i interacted with that doesn't even know her LGA and does not even speak the language so in such situations how do you expect her to appreciate the state she comes from? She will just goahead and marry any bongosua that comes her way. |
Eyop, while I get the point you are trying to make(e.g going straight to the marriage instead of trying to understand some foreign culture), I will tell you ethnicity really does not matter. There are people who will bring joy to your marriage and their are people who will make you sad. Does not matter if they are from your local government area or even from a different tribe. I have relatives who have married people from other tribes and some ended up divorcing while others are just pushing the marriage and I also know people who have married from a different tribe and feel blessed and complete. Tribe really does not matter. What matters the most is mutual understanding, love, understanding, and perseverance.
I also understand your own point my dear but i am speaking for myself and even sweetlemon(an akwa-ibomite)who's married from another tribe have her own reasons for doing so. There are some LGA in Akwa-ibom state that is a no go area for some people not to talk of leaving your state all in the name of marriage. I respect my culture and tradition and anything contrary to that is a no no thing for me so others are entitled to their own opinion. |
I can spend all day replying to their foolish posts. They think Tribalism means marrying within your own tribe. bunch of re.tards.
...my guy like i said, don't mind them. I guess the best is for this country to split or what do you think my gee? |
YOU STFU! stop interfering in our tribal matters if you have no tribe yourself. ![]() This is not a joke!
Na you get time to they answer them. |
Sweetlemon: Please let's drop this argument. I'm about to throw up.You are the one that wants to argue now. Anyway i wish you good luck in your outside marriage. Cheers ![]() |
Sweetlemon: Akwa-Ibomites/Cross Riverans and even South-southerners are generally not tribalistic. (All my cousins/sisters are married outside Akwa-Ibom) but the few ones who are are so irritatingly disgustingly tribalistic that they don't even consider Cross River as their sister state! Heck! Most tribalistic Akwa-Ibomites do not even consider other tribes in Akwa-Ibom as their brothers and sisters. Tribalistic Ibibios feel superior to other tribes in Akwa-ibom and other tribes do not like Ibibios. They are generally not tribalistic and that's why they keep dying like fowls in outside marriages because they see them as an outsider. I also have relatives that married outside akwa-ibom and after years of marriage, they regret going into marriage in another state. I don't understand Idoma or Urhobo language or culture so what will even make me go to such an environment for marital rites? So are you trying to tell me that in the whole of akwa-ibom state that i cannot get a girl or lady that will love me even if i have nothing? I don't even get involved in a serious relationship with any lady apart from my tribe because if they see that you are the stubborn type, they will go extra mile to trap you just as it happened to one Eket guy that i know and today he's regretting his actions. 5mins enjoyment with an anambra girl landed him in big trouble and despite that he had several other babes from Akwa-ibom. Today he's not happy in the matrimony. |
Sweetlemon: And how the heck does a person's culture make love to you, bear you beautiful kids, build your home, manage your resources, cook for you, listen to you when you need someone, advice you when you need advise, pray for you, support you, and do other intimate and great stuff with you. Or are you trying to say that only an Ibibio/Akwa-Ibom woman can offer you all thatSo are you trying to tell me that in the whole of Akwabasi-Ibom state that i cannot get an akwa-ibom lady that will bear me beautiful kids, build my home, manage my resources, cook for me,listen to me when i need someone, advice me when i need advice, pray for me,support me, and do other intimate and great stuff with me? My sister it's only an Akwa-ibom lady that can do that for me and i don't need to cross river niger all in the name of marrying a lady. So if you have been able to get that from outside tribe, good and fine for you but like i said earlier on,i am speaking for myself and not for anyone. If it will take me 5yrs to get that special lady then it's worth waiting. |
Sweetlemon: Trust me ho, you ain't loving with/using your head either cos you would have known that merely speaking the same language does NOT make a marriage work.I never stated that speaking same language makes marriages work but to me it's best to understand a particular culture, language, etc before crossing your boundary to talk about marriage. |
SeaGold: OP, I have the feeling that you are talking about General Ike Nwachukwu and for such a man of high calibre, I must admit its the wealth that's keeping them united in his household.Thank you my brother ![]() |
Sweetlemon: Inter-ethnic marriages all the way!Well said but na your own story be that. I personally as an Ibibio man cannot marry from a tribe that i do not understand their culture, language, etc and so are others. If marrying from another tribe goes down well with an individual all in the name of love, then good and fine for such an individual but for me i love with my head and not my heart. |
Neither NYSC nor Inter-ethnic marriages can promote national integration. How many Nigerians have access to NYSC and moreover the NYSC stuff is completely useless. As per the Inter-ethnic marriages, that cannot work because we all have different cultures and that makes it difficult to work. |
Onuokwu: Global Housing Giant and you don't have a website? i guess Global in their village. |

InvertedHammer: /Well said InvertedHammer but how many new cars will you find having manual gearbox these days? Automatic is still good provided you make use of the recommended gear oil and not the fake sold in shops to avoid issues of transmission failure even though i personally love the manual for long distance trips but you find more auto than manual these days. |
If the battery cost up to #300k which i strongly believe should be up to that then it doesn't worth all the trouble instead i will advice the OP to buy an ordinary Toyota camry rather than trying to save cost of fuel that you will eventually cough out in another way. The mechanical/technological madness doesn't worth all this trouble. |
shex202: which one is hybrid vehicles pls? do we have analogue and digital too ni?Nothing special about it. The body is the same with the regular camry just that it is a combination of electricity and fuel system. Hybrid-electric vehicles (HEVs) combine the benefits of gasoline engines and electric motors and can be configured to obtain different objectives, such as improved fuel economy, increased power, or additional auxiliary power for electronic devices and power tools. Some of the advanced technologies typically used by hybrids include: Regenerative Braking. The electric motor applies resistance to the drivetrain causing the wheels to slow down. In return, the energy from the wheels turns the motor, which functions as a generator, converting energy normally wasted during coasting and braking into electricity, which is stored in a battery until needed by the electric motor. Electric Motor Drive/Assist. The electric motor provides additional power to assist the engine in accelerating, passing, or hill climbing. This allows a smaller, more efficient engine to be used. In some vehicles, the motor alone provides power for low-speed driving conditions where internal combustion engines are least efficient. Automatic Start/Shutoff. Automatically shuts off the engine when the vehicle comes to a stop and restarts it when the accelerator is pressed. This prevents wasted energy from idling.

checkdate: honestly,i have not been in any of those countries before. And why did you comment? This is 2014 so behave yourself. |

Chazzyboy: U mean 2 glasses abi 2 liters?2 litres oh. He's presently in a critical condition as i write |
Adamma
You are very ok the way you are. Don't mind anyone that tells you to do something to get fat because you will regret it in future. Fatness irritates a lot of guys because it contributes to aging fast. |
ikeno: Abaa! 2liters of water first in the morning before eating. His he a camel. the funny part is that he still went back to meet the man and only for him to tell him to continue that it's cleansing effect. |
A neighbour of mine is in the hospital now as i write this. According to the news i got from a family member around him,i heard someone he met in the barbing saloon told him that drinking 2 litres of water after waking up before brushing/eating in the morning will make him look very young and any trace of disease will be flushed out of the system completely and only for the guy to proceed and try that the next day and that led to complications which led to him being sick. He managed to go back to the saloon where he met the man and luckily he met with man who advised him about this act only for him to be told that the cleansing effect has commenced and that he should continue with it. Now it has landed him in the hospital but my question now is what really triggered the sickness after drinking water? |
DBN Television, that television station still dey exist? ![]() |
alarm4: instead of sacking why not constitute the easy way by reducing staff salaries.......why pouring more jobless to the unemployed society we live in....You are on point because sacking isn't the solution because all affected have families to cater for but reducing their salaries except the affected staff were inefficient. |
Obinovictor: Are you saying 24 is ok for a guy? And Alhaji Yerimas's wife is ripe for marriage?18yrs and above,So 24yrs is very ok for a guy if he's matured enough to face the challenges that comes with marriage and if he so wishes to get married. Alhaji yerima's case is rituals and not marriage. |
People's taste differ as one man's meat is another's man poison. Lepa has a lot of advantages compared to Orobo both in relationship and marriage. If you marry an Orobo lady today, what then happens when she starts having kids |
There's no perfect age. It all depends on when you are matured and ready in the heart to face marital challenges because marriage is another of world of its own and am even afraid to venture into it. ![]() |
You can never get a straight answer for this question because it depends on the location. |
