Car Talk › Re: Toyota Matrix And T. Corolla 2004 Model, which Is A Better Ride? by Eyop: 6:03pm On Jul 03, 2014
Raymondenyi: Tnx boss; 4 ur time in going tru, n giving me ur thoughts; my issue is; colleaagues, strongly discouraged me 4rm getting matrix; I was told its a feminine car, for ladies, dat corolla is d better ride 4me; so I 'm tending 2wrds dat...
Are you buying the car for your colleagues to appreciate it huh If you love the Matrix,go for it but if it's the corolla you want, good and fine. But i will suggest you go for Corolla sports but if that's not available, then LE will be OK.

Car Talk › Re: Toyota Matrix And T. Corolla 2004 Model, which Is A Better Ride? by Eyop: 4:57pm On Jul 03, 2014
Raymondenyi: I had in mind of acquiring a T. corolla (2004), buh while browsing through the auto section, I got to come across, T. Matrix (same 2004) n fell in love with it, as well. So ryt now am in a fix,
Pls I want experienced Nairalanders, to help me explain the good fixtures of both cars, n which is better, in terms of fuel economy, maintanance cost n durability...

Honest answers pls,I'll really appreciate.

(Just to add; both are about same market price)
Corolla and Matrix engine are the same, they also share same mechanical parts. The only thing different about both cars is the design so go for the one you love.

Those are market traders and not business brother.

You dey laugh huh But joke apart, why should a lady be so desperate to get married at the age of 29-32 or even 34? I don't see myself getting married to any girl less than 28 oooh.

Sweetlemon: Not anymore. Maybe women below 27 years. I know a growing number of women above 29 willing to foot the bills if only they can just get a husband.

I know a growing number of men looking for such women..........
grin grin then the women and men don't have any problem searching now since you know what they both want. All you do is to connect them together and problem solved.

Sweetlemon: Businesses are more secure only when you've done your home work well. Learn the ropes and even if your business fails, you can always bounce back cos you've mastered your field.
Sister are you still on this matter? Hmmm you really have the time to explain. It would have been better if the argument was based on passion for business and not that business is not secure.

I look forward to doing business with you.

Brother i have seen your post. However i stated one particular feature that i require which is the Thumb start(Keyless start) and this vehicle doesn't have that. I have researched extensively about this W204 benz and one of the common problems is the (EIS) and/or the Electronic steering lock(ESL) failure and once it fails to fix that will cost a lot of funds but one wouldn't experience that with Keyless start.

Also i noticed your Admin fee is now 200k instead of the #120,000 why is that?

Sweetlemon: The problem with most graduates is pride. They cannot do these kinds of things after all the years spent in school. But I see no biggie there. After all our education system is nothing to write home about. Imagine a manger in a multinational company not knowing what a maiden name is?!
You and this manager sef cheesy take am easy on the poor man now.

agonbello: Lucky you. But I guess my wife "to be" (am 25 and will be getting wedded december dis year grin) is more luckier for choosing me even b4 I started my business(es). Because I strongly believe in few years to come (less than 10), I will have an income from my numerous businesses which is very much greater than what the GMD of NNPC earns "legally/genuinely".
You never can tell brother because it's a small world. You might end up being her Boss grin grin

Sweetlemon: The babe is deluded. In fact I doubt if she works cos if she's a part of present day Naija working class, she will know that no job is secure, even top shots are having it rough now. In my company about ten permanent staffs in my department were suddenly sacked last December. Including two supervisors! News going round is that more heads are rolling soon (permanent staffs o!) and I'm talking about a big multinational.

Romance › Re: Why Do Ladies Prefer A Man With Status Job To A Rich Businessman ? by Eyop: 10:37am On Jul 01, 2014
My brother your heading should be why do "some ladies". Not all ladies will prefer status job to a rich businessman. It also depends on what type of business you are talking about. If it's a corporate style of business then only a foolish girl or lady will prefer that to answering yes sir to another man's company but if it's a disorganize type of business then i can understand. It's all about choice.

Car Talk › Re: Mercedes Benz Thread by Eyop: 7:07am On Jul 01, 2014
fizzle344: Hello Car Gurus, Happy New Month. Pls I need your urgent and reliable advice. Am about making out an order for a 2011 C300. Pls advice me on the likely problems associated with the car. God bless you all.
I am also working towards pre-ordering a W204 benz as well and i have done some research about the ride. very beautiful i must say but it has some common problems. The 2011 C300 you are interested in is a 4matic meaning all wheel drive and there are a lot of issues with it. Common problems:

Transmission since it works with the 4matic so once there's an issue with the 4matic it affects the transmission as well,(EIS) and/or the Electronic steering lock(ESL),etc but the major issues are the two i mentioned and am still doing more research on it before making my decision. If i must continue with the pre-order it definitely must be the 2010-2012 C350 Sports and not the C300 to avoid the 4matic and also it must be a key less start to also avoid the EIS or ESL issues.

I do not think it's possible to get a C300 without the 4matic atleast none that i am aware of. Finally some are lucky that throughout the period of usage of the same ride won't experience any issues but i am pointing out the 2 issues above based on users complaints.

Cheers
Eyop

bimbor: My brother it's unfortunate that the nigerian economy is in a comatose state....it's so sad that 5M+ cannot buy any solid brand new SUV or crossover SUV for that matter.

Brand New 2014 Crosstour - 8.8M
Brand New 2014 CRV - 7.0M
2014 Toyota Venza Brand New - 9.5M
2014 Rav4 Brand New - 8.0M
Brand New 2014 Fortuner - 8.0M
2014 Highlander Brand New - 11M
Range Rover Sports 2014 - 24.5M
Lexus GX460 - 15M
QX56 Brand New - 16M

Even the heavyweight Sedans in the market cross that budget for brand new. The closest call is a brand new Corolla and even that one is 5.5M.
The prices you listed up there is just for now. I guess from next month it will be more with the proposed hike in clearing rates.
Nairaland General › Re: My Horrible Experience In The Hand Of Inspired Autos. (RESOLVED) by Eyop: 6:05pm On Jun 29, 2014
Aliki: With 5m + budget you shouldn't even be be thinking of buying a tokunbo car for your wife for that matter, what's the guarrantee that the SUV wouldn't develope a fault within a year with all the complaints you have already. There are quite a number of nice crossover SUVs you can buy for your woman with 5m; a kia sportage for a example is not too bad.
Als o, if you're spending that much on a used car,it's always safe to see and inspect physically, or have someone very reliable and trustworthy do that for you. Americans are hustlers, same as the person that deliverd a 5m+ SUV to your house, knowing fully well that some important gadgets in the vehicle are not functioning properly...no intergrity...that's people for you!
The OP didn't buy the SUV for the wife but he said the car was delivered to his wife in his absence. Even brand new SUV's can develop fault after leaving the dealership so is not all about being brand new or Tokunbo. E.g i still prefer a certified used Lexus RX 350 with very low miles than a brand new Kia Sportage so it's all about choice.

Exponental: Is it just me?? I rather enter d market, pay for a car I see than pre order. I'm nt dat patient. Pre-ordering is risky, u believe wat u are told nt what u see n feel.
That's to you but pre-order still remains the best means to buy your car. Patience is very important in life and is it only pre-ordering that is risky? Life itself is a risk and what you should be more concerned about is how you intend to pre-order the vehicle whether doing it yourself or contracting it. If contracting,it must be through a credible dealer and we have many here on Nairaland. Even if i must buy a brand new 2014 Toyota Corolla today,i will pre-order because most sold at Toyota authorized dealership doesn't have some options that are standard in American specs.

HNosegbe: Not a problem, as long as customers aren't charged for the new cards.
Who told you they won't be charged? Immediately such happens, just await debit alert of #1000 from your account for a new card. They are interested in the money and not even the security of your account. Access Bank is a useless bank
Business › Re: Who Manages Money Better: Men Or Women? by Eyop: 8:38pm On Jan 08, 2014
It depends on the individual. Some men are bad managers and same with women so one cannot categorically say it's the men or the women.
