One thing about African people in general is that all of this strife was manufactured by outsiders, Igbo, Yoruba, Fulani, etc didn't know themselves as one thing 200 years ago, but the same outsiders are allowed to go to any African country freely without the repercussions of all the fighting. Nigeria, as can be seen from how US statesmen and other Western leaders simply appear every election time, is ran by Western interest, just like any other African country. 34 Likes 1 Share |

onuebonyi: Owerri has more traffic because of the road connection, everybody heading to Owerri isn't stopping off at Owerri, most of those people get off and drive to Anambra, Abia and other parts of Imo State. The Enugu-PH road is a death trap that nobody wants to try, so also is the Enugu-Onitsha road a shambles. If you fix the roads to Enugu, especially Enugu-Onitsha, the airport will overtake Owerri which was why people were pushing for that road to be fixed. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FYRKYrdJ2Uk 1 Like |

Look at the places Lufthansa flies to, major cities, mostly capitals and they still took time to link Abuja with PH, why? Ndi Igbo. This flight should be taken to AIIA. 1 Like

Igbo people should demand for 1. The Enugu-Aba / Enugu-Onitsha road to be fixed, and then 2. demand that the Lufthansa and Air France stopover flights heading to the Niger Delta because of Igbo people's village migration be rerouted to AIIA. AIIA can only get a good start with these two things. 2 Likes |

HopeAtHand: Hotels around Port Harcourt are full from wall-to-wall during Christmas, why? Because Imo and Abia people are stopping over before driving to their village. Port Harcourt has been the main Igbo stop-off for village, whether from domestic or international, those Lufthansa and Air France flights stopping over from Abuja are the property of the overseas Igbo, they were made for Igbo people, the only reason PH has international flights is because of Igbo people, and these European connect flights don't go to the north so it's very specifically because of Igbo people, and the only other airport in the east that receives international flights is Enugu, surprise, surprise. Ikwerre, Ijo and other people in the east cannot fund Luthansa's and Air Frances extra jet fuel expenses for that short trip, these people have researched the Igbo migration which is one of the biggest and most important in Africa outside of Islamic pilgrimage, they know that Igbo people make up a huge chunk of Abuja / Lagos traffic and they've studied the journey their passengers make after they deplane, they will do this because these companies see huge spikes in revenue on their books every Christmas because of Igbo people. All that needs to happen is rerouting to the closer AIIA and fixing the road and then ndi Anambra, Enugu and Ebonyi overseas will join and will stop using Benin-Ore route and good bye PH. That's all. In fact, somebody reading this who has power should go and shop AIIA to France and Germany, since Europeans pull the money and political strings in the end. 2 Likes |

hammerF: Nobody is that dumb, Nigeria is not a country that does well with agitation and everybody knows from MASSOB that the army has no problem massacring people in large numbers especially in eastern Nigeria. Nnamdi Kanu and the upper guard of IPOB know / knew that when leading youths into this agitation. 2 Likes |

If you compare what is going on in Nigeria as a whole to the rest of the world, the work that it would take to get to a level of a Balkan state or war-torn Ukraine let alone Germany seems so exhausting to the point where it looks like it's even impossible. 3 Likes 1 Share |

Look at examples of New Zealand and California. I know anything is better than nothing, but cinder block building in the middle of the village is what is being used to impress? In 2018? People might say this is a pessimistic view, but when you look at these things from a global viewpoint, which is what I hope people will start to do at some point, you're comparing cinder block buildings with projects like maglev and HS2 in Europe. It's hard to look at some things and ohh and ahh. Just a point. 2 Likes |

Also, how is anybody convinced that the impact of oil politics wouldn't have caused their own group to became individualistic, it is not a coincidence that most of the Igbo groups shrugging off the larger Igbo body are in oil (well) rich areas, what would have happened if Owerri for example was zoned into Rivers State like Etche (who have people who now strongly deny Igbo relation) and had many oil wells? Would Uratta have become an "ethnic nationality" of Nigeria. Nobody knows. 2 Likes |

In an older thread I stated that all that (wasted) energy Nnamdi Kanu and IPOB spent on convincing nobody that Ijo, Igala (who are partly muslim by the way who IPOB hate), Nupe, ndi Timbuktu etc were part of an unrealistic Biafra could have been spent on honing Igbo political and cultural unity. At the very least that would have given some sense as to which nation 'Biafra' actually would consist of. Instead, the energy was being spent chasing a mirage mini-Nigeria, Nigeria 2.0 with Igbo as the majority. People talking about Ikwerre and others may be surprised if they find out how much that anti-Igboness comes from pure ignorance, as in, a complete lack of knowledge of history, or miseducation, rather than pure hate or some strategy. Sorry to say, but one thing anybody should observe is that people in Nigeria don't know anything worth knowing outside of some particular thing they studied in school for a career. Some of these Ikwerre people truly in their heart of hearts believe they have nothing to do with the Igbo people and that the Igbo people are the cause of all their problems because that was what they have been taught right from birth. The dislike or hate or distrust other eastern groups (usually outside of Akwacross) have for Igbo people is that in this ethnocentric Nigerian tripod set-up, they believe that the third leg of the tripod that the Igbo people hold is up for grabs and they all think it should be theirs because of the political state of Igbo people after the war. It's just self preservation in this jungle country but some people are still out here doing "Biafra" of 1968. Biafra would be a disaster, repeat, a Biafra 'reinstated' as it was in 1968 would be a disaster for Igbo people, as it had already proved to have been. 4 Likes |

BiafraIShere: This is how you will build Biafra? Defaulted loans so what? LOL. Please go and take a look at what China is doing in other countries. This is part of a bigger picture where they take over land and assets with defaulted loans, part of the trade route their building. This is almost the same as what the European colonialists did and there were people like you then who were also giving them land and saying so what. 1 Like |

PabloAfricanus: What you're using is Igbo history and culture 101, many people hear 'Igbo had no king(s)' and mistake that with 'Igbo had no leadership.' The warrant chiefs you're talking about was superimposed on an already existing leadership structure based on paternal lineage. Many if not most warrant chiefs were chosen by prominent members (leaders) of the community, it's just that they later abused the power with British consent. You see, what the Aro did was more intricate and calculating than simply raising an army and invading a whole territory, they created a trade / slave trade network where they installed their sympathetic agents in communities, their hegemony isn't in question because many Igbo communities can talk of the political, religious, and especially economic hegemony of Aro people. Aro people not expansionist? When they went all the way to present Enugu city! All of this talk talk is even pointless in the case of Igbo participation in politics in Nigeria today, the reason for the good or bad status today is because of firstly the colonial setup where Fulani are firmly the chosen, and two the war. Before the war, Igbo people dominated the Nigerian army. 6 Likes 1 Share |

Handsomegod: If you're saying he claimed humans originated in Asia it means you didn't listen to what he said properly. The Moors, who were Arabs that enslaved black Africans, have nothing to do with the discussion, so why would they be brought up in a Ted talk with limited time? No credible scholar, of whatever background, subscribes to the Igbo Hebrew theory, yes, white people can write nonsense books as well you know and many of those books are not even a defence of the Igbo Hebrew theory, rather a documentary on it, similar to how somebody would write a book about the Amish in America. Where is this wooden Israeli stool and who figured out it was from an Israeli tree? https://igbocybershrine.com/2012/11/21/a-re-emerging-scam-a-review-of-the-jews-of-nigeria-part-1/ 1 Like |
