vanbonattel:Asking somebody if they are becomerich is hardly entering the "gutter" is it. |
hammerFC:Is this becomerich? (What ever happened to becomerich?) |
Obi1kenobi:There you go, this Israeli attachment things come from the same mentality as Ikwerre and co disassociating from the Igbo people. If Africa was like Western Europe, nobody would care to be begging Israel. |
hammerFC:Where are they? |
hammerFC:Igbo is also an andmixture of French, moi and muwa mean the same thing (me), beaucoup and bukwu (many) mean the same thing. Igbo language is a Hebrew-French bastard. |
hammerFC:Lol, what's your point. I'm simply asking why Gad has disappeared as a name among Igbo people. |
hammerFC:That means your are naive and ignorant about Israel. There is a hierarchy in Israel. It's pointless to give details, because you're convinced white Israeli's care about random black Africans. |
hammerFC:Surely, Eri, when he trekked when he was more than 1000 years old, kept the culture of his father, Gad, why would the name Gad disappear from Igbo people, but there is an "Obu Gad" in a village in Umueri. |
hammerFC:No European or Western nation has or will ever seriously help black Africans, they are the cause of all of these problems in the first place, not Yoruba or Hausa-Fulani. |
hammerFC:Who answers "Gad" in Igboland? Can you name another Igbo name that ends with the letter d? |
hammerFC:The reason why you attach yourself to Israel is because you feel you have nothing to stand on on your own black Igbo self. |
hammerFC:To fly in Chinese is fe, me in French is moi (mwa), large in French is beaucoup (bukwu). |
IkpuMmadu:So does this mean the Igbo people are Hebrew bastards and the Igbo language a bastard Hebrew? |
Israel isn't going to do anything to Nigeria, it's just fantasy, Nigeria exists because the global players, US, UK, France, etc. are happy for it to be like that, these countries like single markets they can control and operate in, in general the world isn't looking for new countries which would mean new competition (especially China and India). Many people attach superstitious attachments to Israel, Israel is what it is through planning and alliance with the interests of the US and Western Europe, they are a market for westerners, and they check the power of Saudi Arabia and other Arab countries. Apart from that, Israel doesn't move the world like the US does. Besides all that, Africans are black which means you are checked for exploitation, Israelis are white, which means they are allowed some room in the system. If you go under Israel you will be a puppet state and Israel isn't going to take on a big daddy role for free. You will also be huge targets for the whole world that hates Israel, but without the funding from the US (because you're black) and it would also be quite humiliating. |
hammerFC:Sure, aziza has absolutely nothing to do with the word zaa, sweep, in Igbo. It rather fell from the bible. |
HopeAtHand:The area under PH is occupied by mangrove and marshland which is why all these communities have to be reached by boat, but this is still land, that's locking PH, with small communities scattered on liveable land. |
Kingv:Move to Saudi then. |
iLoveAnambra:It's his jo... you know what, forget it. |
She looks more attractive than most of the men in here, let's say the truth. |
spyder880:Sometimes I wonder what would happen if these wealthy people, instead of trying to impress the kindred and villagers, concentrated some of these projects (including village houses) into the redevelopment of parts of Onitsha, Awka, Owerri, etc. You could build a penthouse and lease the rest of the flats below. Anyway, somebody with serious foresight is going to make serious money in the coming decades by buying up Onitsha waterfront for example. |
Is that what they spent 10 years on? |
What some are getting at in terms of participating in politics merely to fill key positions with 'Igbo people' is actually not the way forward that many people here a relooking toward, if IPOB has done one good thing, it's exposing the power of the Igbo populace. Step outside of Nigerian communities for a second, a Nigerian cannot name a single Chinese politician in any African country, yet we known Chinese immigrants have a powerful presence in every country, obviously backed by a budding superpower no less, so also is there a presence of people of Jewish descent in key industries in the US, and a few other examples like Indians in Kenya. The mode would be to escape this one-man fixes all idea that hasn't worked for the common man in all other regions, and to instead utilise population, like IPOB has done, in political situations when trying to achieve a particular objective, and to practice group economics wherein there is a sphere of influence based on the political and economic unity of the people. Nobody should be resting their groups destiny on 8-16 year "windows of opportunity," it's a loser game, if the Igbo region wants a Niger Bridge, use the Igbo body to get that, and this is the natural state of Igbo politics and Igbo people are very good at coming together on an issues that has been well articulated to them as a whole. Nnamdi Kanu rose up because of Igbo people banking on GEJ. It's enough of the warrant chiefs, all of these politicians are compromised and it's better that they are used and tossed by the populace than for the entire destiny of the people be invested in these individuals. |
As I pointed to before, SS is a petro-political entity formed to check the dominance of Igbo people in the east, these groups main source of unity is crude oil and, rightly or wrongly, a fear of Igbo domination, similar to Southern Cameroons who put a knife in their chest because of Igbophobia by joining Cameroon. They're not a cultural or real political block, this is why Igbo groups in the "South South" renounce Igboness because that block was made for 'minorities' outside of the tripod. People are criticising IPOB because they are playing the same game of placing Igbo people bait in the Nigerian political arena, there's this naive idea of 'braveness' many Igbo people have that makes them rush and make stupid decisions all in the name of doing what's just. |
nnamdijonathan:And what is the net gain for Igbo people from this pointless political move? |
pazienza:One thing many haven't learned is that if you put yourself against Nigeria then you're putting yourself against a greater force that is behind it which is Western interest. If the major powers wanted Biafra it would have been existing. It's best just to bob and weave and find the best spots in the flow instead of trying to go against the current. |
It might be difficult to do, but it's time that Igbo people, whichever faction, stop putting themselves in the line of fire of Nigerian politics, it's time to step back in terms of visibility, the best way to approach Nigeria, as I've suggested several times now, would be to develop the united voice and to use this spearhead technique whenever it is needed, but Igbo people need to cease being the pawns of Nigerian politics, look at every major political event, even when it doesn't directly affect Igboland, from the 2019 election now, to GEJ, to MEND. It needs to stop. |
Cjrane2:He has always been like this. He has not been tortured, nor is he in a deal with Buhari. |
This whole IPOB movement exposes the danger of the one-man saves all theory that Igbo people have been following for a while, the road to success is not going to come from a Messiah, rather it's going to come from unity and focus and reasonable thinking. Like everybody else does, have no permanent enemies or friends and put your own interest at the forefront, everything else is noise. |
Bede2u:No, because he's talking about Igala people are part of Biafra, does that sound sensible? Too many impressionable people have died for nothing under his so-called leadership already. It's enough. O zuole. |
Also, all of these nations, whether Israel or the US or France, etc, do not intervene in African politics without their best interests at the forefront, which usually means securing, stealing, raping African resources without a care for African lives. All this emotional and superstitious attachment to Israel is embarrassing and naive. See how they treat Ethiopian Jews for reference. |
Bede2u:Well hundreds of people have died, and there's nothing to show for it after over 2 years of ranting, I don't know what is actually being done. Biafra, this new agitation, is a distraction and has been childish for a very long time now, the best thing would be to quietly move on to more sensible political strategies, like many discussed here. |
Bede2u:People keep talking about non-violence, everybody knows what Nigeria is, which is why hundreds of IPOB members are dead and none of the leaders are. If somebody sends you a ticket to Syria, does that person have your safety in mind? |

Anambra people, una too much. ......
