This is by the way; I was reading Mark 16 last night(NEW INTERNATIONAL VERSION) and when I got to Mark 16:8. I found this in Parenthesis [The earliest manuscripts and some other witnesses do not have Mark 16:9-20].

This teaches me to suspect that someone saw the need to improve on what was initially available.

Mark 16:1-8 talks about Mary Magdalene, Mary mother of James and Salome visiting Jesus' tomb.

Mark 16:9-20 talks about a risen Christ visiting the disciple, giving them the great commission and ascending into Heaven.

Do you realize that those practicing JUDAISM are still expecting the Messiah?

cyrexx: I married before I turned atheist. My wife still remains a christian. Luckily for me, my wife and I love and accept each other for what we are, religious differences notwithstanding. We rarely bring up religious issues in our home anymore. I want my kids to understand everything (religions, sciences, history etc etc) and make their own choice when they're grown. There is more to life than religion.

If you are single and irreligious, ensure you look for a flexible woman who does not carry religion on her head (I have never seen an atheist Nigerian lady). Generally, women are easily influenced by the one they love, except the hardcore religious nuts among them.

Your argument of counterfeit notes would not fly in this context. Legal tenders are tangible objects with security features. I don't need faith to discern a real note from a fake one.Use things like gravitational force which cannot be seen,but this also would not fly as every person alive can independently confirm the existence of gravity. The fact that your religion depends on faith to thrive without any physical evidence is the reason why you can never prove the existence of Jesus to a rational mind who seeks physical evidence before drawing conclusions.

Heartibaby: Good question. I can love someone who i interact with everyday whether i have/can or havent/cannot see that person. My relationship with God is certainly not a monologue though for some it may be. Those who do not hear him are those who do not know Him. Just like Jesus said "my sheep hear my voice" Everytime i talk to God, He definitely says something back.

Nice response,disputing your claims of your relationship with God being a dialogue would only amount to a situation of your word against mine. Same way we don't attack pastors who claimed to have been called by God. once again, nice response
