Greetings dear people...
I am appealing to our esteemed seniors and recent TEF takers to provide your TEF EE questions (however paraphrased).
This will really help new TEF takers as there is a big chance those questions may feature in the future.
The focus is on EE because it really does make or mar getting the 30 bonus points.
Thanks in advance for your great help! |

vvik33: For EE, my test was computer based. I got a keyboard without accents so that set me back a little bit. (Someone recommended to learn how to quickly add accents on a Windows keyboard). But unfortunately, I found this tip only after my exam.. This will help during the test.
My section B was around 400 words.. I wrote a lot, so I can say I spent more time writing than correcting my essay.
these are the two main points I noticed. Hello vvik33, Are you able to share what your writing topics were about? |

vvik33: Hi all,
I come bearing great news!
After reading @ayandee French story I decided to double my efforts and achieve what she achieved.
I passed TEF in under a year after starting from scratch. With the scores & my IELTS results, I have 500 CRS points and I'm so happy because I had 449 points before.
I was attending Alliance Française and institut Français but I stopped because they were too slow and charging a huge amount. Then I found my French tutor from here, he is https://www.tobidam.com and I highly recommend him. He helped me get here much quicker than I ever expected. I used an app to track my progress and this is almost 500 hours of combined study. It's possible!
Thank God and thanks to everyone here for their tips and guidance.
Bonne chance ! Excellent work! Big Congratulations! |

blazetitov: Chai!!
I did but it keeps redirecting to varios ads sites. Also used boolean search, same.
typed this on google search; "penguin" "french" "phrasebook" "pdf"
same. Verify you used small letter 's' for site:...works okay here. Should take you to schaums at the least. Not sure about the penguin resource. Perhaps it's unavailable there. |

blazetitov: Please i have been searching. Seems most of the sites just want to keep harvesting my email address. The one on PDF drive has been deleted. i Have tried Pininterest and some other funny sites which were asking me to install extension on my chrome.
please help if you have it. I always give a try before i ask for such. Do a site search on vk. Paste the following in a Google search (everything including "site:"...) Site:vk.com "schaum" "french" do you know what happens if you vary the keywords? Yea. Good luck. |

ThatCEO: Thanks boss. I have started filling my express entry profile and this issue is d last thing I am trying to figure out. Maybe I am being too careful but I don't want to make a mistake I won't be able to correct in the future...u know these people really hold u to your words.
I would still appreciate any other inputs regarding where or not I can combine two NOCs (18months experience in NOC 2143 [mining] plus 20 months in NOC 4021[language instructor at a university]).
Both r skill Level A. NOC 2143 is primary NOC n aligns with both first degree (Mining) n Msc. Civil engineering.
Thank you. Yep. You can combine NOCs. You can use either as primary NOC since they're both above 1 continuous year. |

ThatCEO: good day house, I have a question regarding whether my work experience will count as 3 years and above. 1st degree Mining Engineering. 2nd degree Civil engineering.
Work experience 18months as a mining engineer ( I want to use this as primary work experience). NOC 2143. Skill level A. 20 months as a language instructor, NOC 4021. Skill Level A. Kindly not that this job is not related to my education background.
Would I be able to combine these work experiences? Would it count as over 3 years experience? I have 38months of full time experience.
Thank you and God bless. @BeuHarry Ednut1 Mamaroon NaijaCanadian28 Elektra008 Fabguen Yes. You appear to have 3 years and 2 months of experience. Your educational background would apply in some PNP applications but less for express entry. Looks good to me. |

Deluvtj247: No because there’s no document to show for it Hello Deluvtj247, bon courage! This appears to be a classic NOC mismatch problem as mamaroon pointed out. The main duties in NOC1114 and your reference letter does not match. Are you able to point out the 3 duties you mentioned? The burden of proof is on you to show a close NOC fit. The JD in NOC1114 appears to be financial advisory/Supervisory oversight related but the JD in reference letter portrays you quite differently. What is clear, is that a new letter is required. Obtain some form of written evidence that your HR won't adjust the letter and engage your supervisor to draft an updated reference letter that matches the chosen NOC. |

Suxiii: Hi guys, please i need assistance oo. So i want to use proceeds from a land sale as POF, what would i need to submit to back it up? Also does the narration in the account matter? The money would be a lump sum, i hope there's no issues with that. Thanks as i await your responses. Proof that you owned the land and the transaction entry in your statement. There are no problems with lump sum if they can be reasonably explained. |

MapleLand2021: hello fam and my seniors,
I just started studying french about 2 months ago using frenchpod101.com (as suggested in the group), it has truly been helpful.
my question is, Can I learn up to a b1/b2 level using frenchpod101.com only before intensifying study for TEF........ I seem to enjoy their teaching technique
or should I add other resources at this early stage?
also when watching films......would I learn better if the subtitle is in french or English........
merci Good thing about Frenchpod is that they clearly mark the levels. Once you're comfortable with the upper Intermediate classes(B1/B2), you would be reasonably ready to ramp up TEF prep. As for subtitles, French is best. The less of English the better. |

Lavieestbelle: Hello Frenchie's! Please, anyone have an idea if Francais Alliance Lagos is reopened? Still closed until Govt. reopens schools. However, there are several AF centres globally offering virtual classes. Canada, US. Perhaps send them an email to indicate interest and possible next steps. Type "Alliance francais" "zoom" and you'll see them. Cheers! |
